Three new species of Chassalia (Rubiaceae) from the Eastern Arc Mts, Tanzania

Chassalia christineae, sp. nov., and C.bonifacei, sp. nov., from the Nguru Mts, and C.lukwangulensis, sp. nov., from the Uluguru Mts, are described and illustrated. All three species are undershrubs of montane forest.

Three new species of Melhania (Sterculiaceae) from north-eastern tropical Africa

Melhania annua , sp. nov., from coastal or subcoastal dunes in Somalia and Kenya, M. hiranensis , sp. nov., from Acacia-Commiphora bushland on sand in south-central Somalia, and M. quercifolia , sp. nov., from coastal dunes in Somalia, are described and illustrated.     

A new species of Remijia (Rubiaceae) from Amazonian Brazil

Remijia hubbardiorum B. M. Boom, endemic to white sandcampinas orerra firme forest in the Rio Uatumã region in the State of Amazonas of north central Brazil, is described and illustrated, and its morphological differentiation with respect toR. asperula Standley is discussed.     

Three new species of Elassoneuria (Ephemeroptera: Oligoneuriidae) from tropical Africa

Three new species of Elassoneuria are described, E.disneyi from the Cameroons, and E.grandis and E.kidahi from Tanzania. The taxonomy of the nymphs is discussed, and E.congolana Navas is redescribed.     

A new species of pagamea (Rubiaceae) from the Brazilian Guayana

Pagamea aracaënsis Boom, endemic to Serra Aracá, Brazil is described and illustrated, and its relationship toP. anisophylla Standley & Steyerm, is discussed.     

Four new species of Ixora (Rubiaceae, Ixoreae) from Brazil

Four new species of Ixora (Rubiaceae, Ixoreae) from Brazil are described and illustrated and their relationships to morphologically similar species as well as their conservation status are discussed. The new species, Ixora cabraliensis, Ixora emygdioi, Ixora grazielae, and Ixora pilosostyla are endemic to the Atlantic Forest of southern Bahia and Espirito Santo.     

Three new species of Justicia sect. Justicia (Acanthaceae) from tropical Africa

Three new species of Justicia sect. Justicia (Acanthaceae) are described: Justicia regis from Kenya, Justicia acutifolia from Tanzania, and Justicia telloensis from Cameroun.     

Two new Neogaillonia species (Rubiaceae, tribe Paederieae) from Somalia

Two new species of Neogaillonia, N. somaliensis and N. calcicola , both endemic to NE Somalia, are described. Palynological data are given for both species. Relationships to other taxa of Neogaillonia and the Gaillonia complex are discussed.     

A new combination and key to the species of Cuviera subgenus Globulostylis (Rubiaceae: Vanguerieae) from Central Africa

Summary  A new combination, Cuviera cuvieroides (Wernham) Onana is proposed for the Central African taxon currently known as Globulostylis cuvieroides Wernham. A key to distinguish the seven species of the subgenus Globulostylis Verdc. is presented.     

A new species of Gleasonia (Henriquezieae: Rubiaceae) from Brazilian Guayana

Gleasonia prancei, a new species form Serra Aracá, Amazonas, Brazil, is described and illustrated.     

Hedyotis correllii (Rubiaceae): A new Texas species

Hedyotis correllii is newly described as endemic to the Rio Grande Plains of southern Texas. It is closely allied toH. humifusa by gross and micromorphological characters.
