There has been studied the response of antioxidant (AO) reaction of the tissue system of the root voles Microtus oeconomus Pall., whose parents belonged to the populations long inhabiting the Republic Komi regions with different degrees of radioactive contamination, on an additional irradiation at low doses. Differences have been revealed in the phospholipid content, activity of AO defense, intensity of processes of lipid peroxidation (LPO) in tissues of the offspring of voles caught in the control and contaminated regions. It has been revealed that direction and degree of changes in the offspring tissues after the additional action are determined by the parameter value in the non-irradiated animal group. Intensity of the LPO processes in liver and brain was leveled after the long low-intensity irradiation. The obtained data and analysis of literature indicate that at predicting effects of chronic action of low doses of a damaging factor both in experiment and in the natural habitation, it is necessary to take into account initial characteristics of biological objects.  相似文献

The Blood coagulation system was converted to a mathematical model which was described using differential equations. The calculated output patterns of the mathematical model against various input stimulations were compared with results of in vitro assay. The simulated results of (1) Hemophilia A, (2) anticoagulation effect of antithrombin III and (3) anticoagulation effect of heparin corresponded to the results of in vitro assay and clinical reports. However, the simulated result of (4) anticoagulation effect of synthesized arginine derivative No. 805 (MD-805) did not correspond to the results of in vitro assay. Therefore, a new series simulation of MD-805 was done, supposing that MD-805 had an inhibitory activity not only on coagulation factor IIa but also VIIa. The new simulation pattern closely resembled the results of in vitro assay. From these facts, it was theoretically indicated that MD-805 also has an inhibitory activity on VIIa.  相似文献

Two dimensional finite element analyses were used to determine the direct tensile stress distributions along the lateral edge of the stem of the femoral component of a total hip replacement. The efficacy of using two-dimensional analysis for three-dimensional composite structures was assessed, and the two-dimensional model was found to be suitable for parametric studies. Various combinations of stem and cement stiffnesses were investigated. In particular the influence of stem taper, cement stiffness, prosthesis stiffness and the effect of a plateau on the prosthesis stresses, were examined and compared. The most significant factor was found to be the modulus of elasticity of the stem material. The tensile stresses decrease with decreasing modulus. Cement stiffness and stem shape appeared to have for less effect on stem stress.  相似文献

This work is concerned with the lubrication analysis of artificial knee joints, which plays an increasing significant role in clinical performance and longevity of components. Time-dependent elastohydrodynamic lubrication analysis for normal total knee replacement is carried out under the cyclic variation in both load and speed representative of normal walking. An equivalent ellipsoid-on-plane model is adopted to represent an actual artificial knee. A full numerical method is developed to simultaneously solve the Reynolds and elasticity equations using the multigrid technique. The elastic deformation is based on the constrained column model. Results show that, under the combined effect of entraining and squeeze-film actions throughout the walking cycle, the predicted central film thickness tends to decrease in the stance phase but keeps a relatively larger value at the swing phase. Furthermore, the geometry of knee joint implant is verified to play an important role under its lubrication condition, and the length of time period is a key point to influence the lubrication performance of joint components.  相似文献

Protein C is a plasma, vitamin K-dependent zymogen of a serine protease that can inhibit blood coagulation. Protein C is regulated by a series of reactions known as the protein C pathway. The importance of this pathway is seen in the occurrence of thrombosis in individuals with deficiencies in elements of the pathway like protein C and protein S. Work on several steps in this pathway has revealed that mechanisms involved in activation of protein C and the expression of its anticoagulant activity have features that allow for the expression of the anticoagulant activity away from sites in which procoagulant reactions occur, but not systemically. Thrombin, the principal procoagulant enzyme at the site of an injury, is converted to an anticoagulant enzyme at distant sites through its interaction with the endothelial cell protein thrombomodulin. Structural and functional studies have revealed the importance of several domain structures in the modulation of thrombin activity. Structural features of both activated protein C and its substrates (coagulation factors V and VIII) are such that they require the localization of enzyme and substrate on the surface of phosphatidyl serine containing membranes for optimum activity.  相似文献
