The plant-to-plant movement of aphids was investigated by the simulation technique in this report. Trials satisfying the following conditions are repeated and the results are compared withShiyomi 's model (1967).
  1. An arbitrary individual moves at any moment.
  2. The individual moves straightly forward an arbitrary direction and climbs up the plant that he first encounters with.
  3. There is no concentrative birth and death.
Some of the results are as follows:
  1. For an ideal state of movement, an equation describing the relationship between the frequency of actual movement and the degree of changes in the spatial distribution by movement was obtained.
  2. The actual movements, whose frequency we cannot count, changes the spatial distribution of insects, and this change can be evaluated by the changes of values of the parameters contained inShiyomi 's model. Using the statement (i), we can also estimate the frequency of movements of aphids in the ideal (extreme) state.

Adult population of a dragonfly Nannophya pygmaeaRamber inhabited in a damp ground was investigated with mark-and-recapture method in 1975. The following results about the seasonal changes of the population size and distribution in the habitat were obtained. Adults emerged from late May to mid August. The number of the adults was most abundant in early June, but that of matured males in early July. From the recapture data, the estimate of daily survival rate was 0.82, and the length of immature stage in males was estimated as 5 days or so. Total number of post-teneral adults emerged in the habitat was estimated as about 9,000. The mean crowding-mean density regression method was applied for the analysis of the distribution pattern of the adults. Matured males showed a spaced-out distribution, while females and immatured males distributed themselves rather aggregatively. Such a distribution pattern of the matured male would be attributed to their territorial behaviour. The territorial behaviour was considered to force the matured males to extend the distribution area in July when they were most abundant. From the above-mentioned results and some observations, the meaning of the territoriality in this species was discussed.  相似文献

An understanding of the distribution patterns of organisms and the underlying factors is a fundamental goal of ecology. One commonly applied approach to visualize these is the analysis of occupancy-frequency patterns. We used data sets describing stream insect distributions from different regions of North America to analyze occupancy-frequency patterns and assess the effects of spatial scale, sampling intensity, and taxonomic resolution on these patterns. Distributions were dominated by satellite taxa (those occurring in or=90% of sites) determined the overall modality of occupancy-frequency patterns. The proportions of satellite taxa increased with spatial scale and showed positive relationships with sampling intensity (r2=0.74-0.96). Furthermore, analyses of data sets from New York (USA) showed that generic-level assessments underestimated the satellite class and occasionally shifted occupancy-frequency distributions from unimodal to bimodal. Our results indicate that, regardless of species- or generic-level taxonomy, stream insect communities are characterized by satellite species and that the proportion of satellite species increases with spatial scale and sampling intensity. Thus, niche-based models of occupancy-frequency patterns better characterize stream insect communities than metapopulation models such as the core-satellite species hypothesis.  相似文献

The study was carried out in two (A and B) citrus groves to clarify the spatial distribution patterns of eggs and larvae, and to analyse the mortality process of eggs. From the analysis by using the mean density and the mean crowding, it was clarified that the distributions of eggs were contagious and that larvae were more contagiously distributed than eggs. The τ and z indices showed that the operation of egg mortality was inversely density-dependent in both groves, and that the degree of inverse density-dependence was greater in A than in B grove. The spatial correlations between the emergence holes and the eggs or larvae in each tree, which were analysed by using ω index, showed that the distributions were more overlapping between the emergence holes and the larvae than the eggs. As the result of dividing trees into several groups according to the number of emergence holes, it was clarified that the survival rates of eggs were positively correlated with the number of emergence holes. In conclusion, inversely density-dependent mortality process was considered to be caused by lower mortality rates of eggs in the trees with more emergence holes. Especially in A grove, because the trees with more emergence holes were larger in diameter and more egg oviposition, the inversely density-dependent mortality process was considered to be detected more conspicuously than in B grove.  相似文献

Empirical studies of spatial heterogeneity in parasitism by insect parasitoids have focused largely on patterns, while the many possible underlying mechanisms have been little studied in the field. We conducted experimental and observational studies on Tachinomyia similis (Diptera: Tachinidae) attacking western tussock moths (Orgyia vetusta; Lepidoptera: Lymantriidae) on lupine bushes at Bodega Bay, Calif., USA. We examined several foraging behaviors that have been hypothesized to create density-dependent variation in parasitism rates, including spatial aggregation of parasitoids to high host density, mutual interference among searching parasitoids and decelerating functional responses of the parasitoid. At the spatial scale of individual bushes, we detected both aggregation to a high density and a decelerating functional response. The resulting spatial pattern of parasitism was best fit by two models; one included an effect of parasitoid aggregation and the other included an effect of aggregation and a decelerating functional response. Most of the variation in parasitism was not correlated with density of O. vetusta.  相似文献

Environmental fluctuations can influence invertebrate population dynamics over large spatial scales, and effects of climate change are of particular importance in understanding phenology. In this study, we tested whether changing climate patterns could increase voltinism and emergence synchrony in Stenotus rubrovittatus and drive the mirid bug’s expansion into currently uninhabited areas of Japan. This expansion could have potentially serious economic consequences for the rice industry. We modelled development of S. rubrovittatus in the field applying the effective accumulated temperature model to calculate the theoretical number of generations and the egg hatching dates from 2003 to 2012 based on a high-resolution, daily weather database. We then performed a regional analysis to assess the relationship between population dynamics and range expansion across the study region and also included a local analysis to evaluate how population parameters affect the presence of S. rubrovittatus at local sites in each year. Results showed that distribution expanded with a relative increase in voltinism and with synchrony of egg hatching date. Moreover, we showed that increased voltinism in the previous year positively influenced local population occurrence. This positive effect suggests that the species’ distribution range expands through increased reproduction at both the regional and local scale. Climate-mediated population dynamics play a significant role in range expansion of the mirid bug.  相似文献

为探究水稻不同品种对Pb吸收积累的差异及机理,以20个不同基因型水稻品种(系)为材料,采用盆栽方法,研究了Pb在水稻植株各器官中的分配及在籽粒中的分布.结果表明,不同品种间,Pb积累量存在显著差异,但品种间的这种差异与品种类型关系不明显;不同器官、不同生育时期,Pb积累量和积累速率不同;各器官Pb浓度按根、茎、叶、穗、籽粒的顺序大幅度下降,分配到籽粒中的Pb比例很低;根与茎,茎与叶片、穗(抽穗期)、籽粒Pb含量呈极显著负相关;根与叶、穗(抽穗期)、籽粒,叶与穗(抽穗期)、籽粒的Pb含量呈正相关,相关性大多达极显著或显著水平;不同品种抽穗期叶片与成熟期籽粒间的Pb含量达显著正相关;Pb在稻米加工各产物中的分布很不均匀,稻谷经脱壳及精加工1次(2min)后,精米Pb含量仅为籽粒总含Pb量的32.88%.  相似文献

在分布式水文模型中,单元栅格内的降水输入是准确模拟各种水文过程的关键因素,寻求产生分布式降水数据的方法是水文模型研究的热点之一.在对国内外降水模型分析基础上,认为流域面上实际降水分布是天气系统降水与下垫面地形影响共同作用的结果,如果不受地形影响,天气系统降水的降水量等值线在平面上的分布近似为一组同心椭圆.根据这一原理,建立了一种能够模拟天气系统降水分布,并利用牛顿插值法对模拟结果进行地形影响修正的新型降水分布数学模型,提出了对降水中心位置及其中心降水量的模型模拟.利用黄土高原西川河流域实测资料对模型进行了检验,结果表明,该模型具有较高精度.由于模型概念简单明晰,且能指明降水中心位置及其中心降水量,因此在流域暴雨分析和洪水预报中具有一定价值.  相似文献

The patterns of sex change and spatial distribution in an intertidal holothurian, Polycheira rufescens (Chiridotidae; Echinodermata), were investigated on a stony beach in Amakusa, western Kyushu. Field caging experiments revealed that some individuals of P. rufescens underwent a sequential sex change from male to female via hermaphrodite stages and back to male again within a single reproductive season. The sex ratio of the population gradually changed from male dominance at first to equal proportions of males and females as the reproductive season progressed. Toward the end of the reproductive season, immature or spent individuals increased in proportion. Stone size appeared to be an important factor affecting the occurrence of P. rufescens individuals on a stony beach. Analysis of spatial distribution by means of Morisita's index of dispersion and nearest neighbor distances indicated that (i) males showed a slightly stronger tendency to aggregate than females, while females had a tendency toward uniform distribution; (ii) females tended to attract males, as shown by relatively short female-to-male distances; and (iii) there was a substantial variation in male-to-female distances, such that some males were positioned close to females while others were not. It may be suggested that spatial distribution of P. rufescens individuals during the reproductive period is partly dictated by the differential needs of individuals of different sexual states. 利用最大墒模型和地理信息系统软件对柯属(Lithocarpus)5种资源植物在我国的适宜分布区进行了定量预测,并对未来不同气候情景下其分布区的变化进行了分析。结果显示:木姜叶柯(L.litseifolius(Hance)Chun.)在我国秦岭淮河以南广泛分布,短尾柯(L.brevicaudatus(Skan)Hay.)主要分布在我国亚热带中东部区域;木姜叶柯在未来气候(2061-2080年)RCP2.6、RCP8.5两种情景下适生区面积分别减少了5.1%和3.0%,而短尾柯却分别增加了0.5%和1.5%。白柯(L.dealbatus(Hook.f.et Thoms.ex DC.)Rehd.)适宜区主要分布在云南北部、四川南部,烟斗柯(L.corneus(Lour.)Rehd.)主要分布在两广省份的南亚热带地区。白柯和烟斗柯在RCP2.6情景下适生区面积分别减少了12.1%和17.8%,在RCP8.5情景下分别减少了3.5%和15.9%,这两个种的适宜区面积减少较多。厚斗柯(L.elizabethae(Tutch.)Rehd.)主要分布于广西,在两种情景下适宜区面积分别增加了7.3%和6.3%。研究结果表明,由于分布区存在差异,同属不同物种的未来分布对气候变化的响应不同。  相似文献

Tendon composition changes according to differentiation, mechanical load, and aging. In this study, we attempted to identify, localize, and quantify type VI collagen in bovine tendons. Type VI collagen was identified by the electrophoretic behavior of the alpha chains and Western blotting, and by rotary shadowing. Type VI collagen was extracted from powdered tendon with three sequential 24-h extractions with 4 M guanidine-HCl. The amount of type VI collagen was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for purely tensional areas and for the compressive fibrocartilage regions of the deep flexor tendon of the digits, for the corresponding fetal and calf tendons, and for the extensor digital tendon. The distal fibrocartilaginous region of the adult tendon was richer in type VI collagen than the tensional area, reaching as much as 3.3 mg/g (0.33%) of the wet weight. Calf tendons showed an accumulation of type VI at the fibrocartilage site. Immunocytochemistry demonstrated that type VI collagen was evenly distributed in the tensional areas of tendons but was highly concentrated around the fibrochondrocytes in the fibrocartilages. The results demonstrate that tendons are variable with regard to the presence and distribution of type VI collagen. The early accumulation of type VI collagen in the region of calf tendon that will become fibrocartilage in the adult suggests that it is a good marker of fibrocartilage differentiation. Furthermore, the distribution of type VI collagen in tendon fibrocartilage indicates that it organizes the pericellular environment and may represent a survival factor for these cells.  相似文献
