Hyphodiscus hyaloscyphoides sp. nov. and its Catenulifera anamorph are described and illustrated. The teleomorph is morphologically most similar to H. hymeniophila but distinguished by dull white-colored apothecia. The anamorph is characterized by its minute conidiogenous structure with small subglobose conidia. The monophyly of Hyphodiscus was strongly supported in our molecular phylogenetic analyses using the D1–D2 region of large subunit of nuclear rDNA, but the phylogenetic relationships with other members of Hyaloscyphaceae were not strongly supported. In addition, Hyphodiscus hymeniophilus, one of the close relatives of H. hyaloscyphoides, turned out to be a heterogeneous assemblage based on the ITS region, which requires further research for taxonomic revision.  相似文献

Berkleasmium crunisia sp. nov. is described from a decaying rachis of Calamus sp. (Arecaceae) from Khuan Ka Long, Satun Province, Thailand. This Berkleasmium species differs morphologically from other species in possessing subtending cells and larger conidia. The phylogenetic relationship of the genus Berkleasmium among sexual ascomycetes also was examined. Sequence analyses from 18S, 28S and ITS-5.8S rDNA were analyzed phylogenetically under maximum parsimony, Bayesian and neighbor joining criteria. Phylogenies revealed that Berkleasmium is not monophyletic. Berkleasmium micronesicum and B. nigroapicale are related to Westerdykella cylindrica and Sporormia australis, which are members of the family Sporormiaceae (Pleosporales). Other species, including our new taxon, appear to share phylogenetic affinities with other anamorphic fungi, whose classification within the Pleosporales is still obscure. Analyses of 18S, 28S, ITS (+5.8S) rDNA and combined (18S+28S) gene sequences fail to give sufficient phylogenetic resolution within the Pleosporales.  相似文献

A phylogenetic analysis was performed on two previously uncharacterized Gram-positive, catalase-negative bacteria from clinical sources. 16S rRNA sequencing studies revealed the isolates represent a new line of descent within the lactic acid group of bacteria. On the basis of the phylogenetic findings and phenotypic distinctiveness of the organisms, it is proposed that they be classified in a new genus Dolosigranulum , as Dolosigranulum pigrum sp. nov. The type strain of Dolosigranulum pigrum is NCFB 2975.  相似文献

We assess the phylogenetic position of Siboglinidae (previously known as the phyla Pogonophora and Vestimentifera, but now referred to Annelida) in parsimony analyses of 1100 bp from 18S rRNA, 320 bp from the D1 region of 28S rRNA, and 107 morphological characters, totaling 667 parsimony informative characters. The 34 terminal taxa, apart from six siboglinids, include polychaete members of Sabellida, Terbelliformia, Cirratuliformia and Spionida, plus two Aciculata polychaetes as outgroups. Our results contradict most recent hypotheses in showing a sistergroup relationship between Siboglinidae and Oweniidae, and in that the latter taxon is not a member of Sabellida. Furthermore, our results indicate that Sabellariidae is not closely related to Sabellida, that Serpulidae may be nested within Sabellidae, and that Alvinellidae is nested within Ampharetidae. © The Willi Hennig Society 2004.  相似文献

Theissenia rogersii deviates from known Theissenia species primarily in having large ascospores with a thick wall layer and a unique configuration of two stromatal tissue types, one carbonaceous and the other fibrous. The carbonaceous tissue forms palisades on and beneath the perithecial layer as well as encasing individual perithecia, whereas the fibrous tissue fills the spaces between columns of the palisades as well as between encased perithecia. Phylogenetic analyses based on DNA sequences of beta-tubulin and alpha-actin genes placed Theissenia in the subfamily Hypoxyloideae among the genera that are characterized by having bipartite stromata (i.e. with the stromata differentiated into an outer dehiscing layer and an inner perithecium-bearing layer).  相似文献

Two new species of Schizostachyum Nees (Poaceae: Bambusoideae): S. yalyense N. H. Xia, V. T. Tran et H. N. Nguyen and Schizostachyum ninhthuanense N. H. Xia, V. T. Tran et H. N. Nguyen (Poaceae: Bambusoideae) are described and illustrated from Vietnam. Schizostachyum yalyense is similar to S. lima (Blanco) Merrill, but differs by culm sheaths with a concave apex 4–5 cm wide and 1.0–1.5 cm deep, pseudospikelets clustered on the wholly leafless flowering branches, possession of 2 bracts and lodicules. Schizostachyum ninhthuanense is related to S. hainanense Merrill ex McClure, but differs by culm sheaths covered with white hairs and having white–brown hairs at the apex, ligule margin densely pale‐ciliate, pseudospikelets clustered on wholly leafless flowering branches, presence of 3 lodicules, two stigmas apically on the style and the third stigma branching off from one of the two other stigmas.  相似文献

Corynebacterium ihumii strain GD7T sp. nov. is proposed as the type strain of a new species, which belongs to the family Corynebacteriaceae of the class Actinobacteria. This strain was isolated from the fecal flora of a 62 year-old male patient, as a part of the culturomics study. Corynebacterium ihumii is a Gram positive, facultativly anaerobic, nonsporulating bacillus. Here, we describe the features of this organism, together with the high quality draft genome sequence, annotation and the comparison with other member of the genus Corynebacteria. C. ihumii genome is 2,232,265 bp long (one chromosome but no plasmid) containing 2,125 protein-coding and 53 RNA genes, including 4 rRNA genes. The whole-genome shotgun sequence of Corynebacterium ihumii strain GD7T sp. nov has been deposited in EMBL under accession number GCA_000403725.  相似文献

An anaerobic enrichment with pyruvate as electron donor and thiosulfate at pH 10 and 0.6 M Na+ inoculated with pasteurized soda lake sediments resulted in a sulfidogenic coculture of two morphotypes of obligately anaerobic haloalkaliphilic endospore-forming clostridia, which were further isolated in pure culture. Strain AHT16 was a thin long rod able to ferment sugars and pyruvate and to respire H2, formate and pyruvate using thiosulfate and fumarate as electron acceptors and growing optimally at pH 9.5. Thiosulfate was reduced incompletely to sulfide and sulfite. The strain was closely related (99% sequence similarity) to a peptolytic alkaliphilic clostridium Natronincola peptidovorans. Strain AHT17 was a short rod with a restricted respiratory metabolism, growing with pyruvate and lactate as electron donor and sulfite, thiosulfate and elemental sulfur as electron acceptors with a pH optimum 9.5. Thiosulfate was reduced completely via sulfite to sulfide. The ability of AHT17 to use sulfite explained the stability of the original coculture of the two clostridia—one member forming sulfite from thiosulfate and another consuming it. Strain AHT17 formed an independent deep phylogenetic lineage within the Clostridiales and is proposed as a new genus and species Desulfitisporum alkaliphilum gen. nov., sp. nov. (=DSM 22410T = UNIQEM U794T).  相似文献
