《中国科学》杂志英文版生命科学辑Science China: Life Sciences在2009年进行了全面的改革,贯彻“关注学科前沿,促进学术交流”的编辑出版方针,刊发了5个前沿学科专题,包括基因组学研究,非编码RNA与RNA组学,高致病性禽流感病毒,表观遗传学,干细胞——从分子病理到临床应用,发表了近200篇学术论文,使刊物从形式到内容都展现了一个新的水平．以此为标志,刊物正站在一个前进的新起点,以全新的态势开始其发展的新里程．就此对已发表的一些重要学术论文作一简要回顾和评述．

重庆凤仙花科植物1新记录种——太子凤仙花

该文报道重庆市1新记录种——太子凤仙花(Impatiens alpicola Y.L.Chen et Y.Q.Lu),并描述该新记录种的形态特征和生境分布,凭证标本存放于重庆三峡学院生命科学与工程学院植物标本馆。另编制了重庆市分布凤仙花属植物分种检索表。     

Breeding and application of Jiafuzhan, a new elite early indica rice cultivar in China

After 20 years of dedicated research, Jiafuzhan has been successfully developed under the new technologies in breeding high-quality early indica rice cultivars. Its rice quality has almost reached the A-level Editable Rice of Agriculture Department of China, and its average production reaches 400–500 kg/(666.7 m²). This new cultivar also has other characteristics such as enhanced resistance of blast and fallen, steady productivity, and strong adaptability. Jiafuzhan has been put into production of over 11.4 × 10⁴ hm² in Fujian Province and has been introduced and extended in other Provinces like Jiangxi, Guangdong, and Guangxi, China. The successes of breeding Jiafuzhan is a solution to the existing perennial problems in the rice industry, such as poor grain quality of big-grain rice and early indica rice, low productivity, and poor blast resistance of elite rice. __________ Translated from Journal of Xiamen University (Natural Science), 2006, 45(1): 114–119 [译自: 厦门大学学报 (自然科学版)]     

云南省凤仙花属(凤仙花科)2新记录种

报道了云南省凤仙花科(Balsaminaceae)凤仙花属(Impatiens L.)植物2新记录,即睫毛萼凤仙花(I.blepharosepala Pritz.ex Diels)和红雉凤仙花(I.oxyanthera Hook.f.),并提供了形态描述及其图片,凭证标本保存于重庆三峡学院生命科学与工程学院植物标本馆。该报道的睫毛萼凤仙花花色为白色,红雉凤仙花植株茎、叶皆被微柔毛,茎有分枝,小枝细,丰富了2个物种的形态描述。     

中国锦织蛾属一新种及二新记录种（鳞翅目：织蛾科）

报道中国锦织蛾属3种:新种柳叶锦织蛾 Promalactis saligna sp. nov.与棒锦织蛾P. clavata Du, Li & Wang, 2011外形相似,但其雄性外生殖器爪形突端部2/5分叉,阳茎基环近似柳叶状,无侧叶,阳茎约与抱器瓣等长等特征可与后者区别;首次在中国记录了三岛锦织蛾P. tamdaoella Lvovsky, 1988和斑翅锦织蛾P. vittapenna Kim & Park, 2010。通过核对P. tamdaoella Lvovsky 正模的成虫及灰斑锦织蛾P. griselocula Kim & Park 正模的雄性外生殖器和副模成虫的原始照片,发现P. griselocula Kim & Park 的成虫外形和雄性外生殖器与三岛锦织蛾P. tamdaoella Lvovsky 的一致,提出 P. griselocula Kim & Park, 2010, syn. nov.是P. tamdaoella Lvovsky 的新异名,并重新描述了三岛锦织蛾P. tamdaoella Lvovsky。文中提供了每个种的成虫及外生殖器图。研究标本保存在南开大学生命科学学院昆虫标本室。     

A new species of Melampsora on Populus yunnanensis from China

Melampsora nujiangensis, a rust fungus found on Populus yunnanensis in China, is described as a new species. Light and scanning electron microscopy with herbarium specimens of the rust fungus show that the shape of its urediniospores differs from that of other known species of Melampsora, and its urediniospore walls are thinner than the other species. Furthermore, in phylogenetic trees based on the DNA sequences (28S and ITS) the rust fungus is phylogenetically separated by high bootstrap values. These results indicate that the fungus is an isolated species among the genus Melampsora. 偶栉大蚊属一新种及世界分种检索表（双翅目：大蚊科）

记述采自安徽省的偶栉大蚊属Dictenidia Brullé,1833一新种:岳西偶栉大蚊D.yuexiensis sp.nov.,绘制了形态特征图,提供了该属世界种类名录及检索表。新种的模式标本保存于安庆师范学院生命科学学院动物标本室。
