Background: Propolis is a natural product of plant resins collected by honeybees from various plant sources. It is used as a remedy in folk medicine since ancient times because of its several biological and pharmacological properties. Recently, propolis has been used by dentist to treat various oral diseases. It was always mentioned as an anti-inflammatory agent. Cytokines are proteins that provide communication between cells and play a critical role in a wide variety of processes. It released from cells in an inflammatory process that active, mediate or potential actions of other cells or tissues. When dental pulp has inflammation, several pro-inflammatory cytokines including Interleukin-6 (IL-6) was released by innate immune cells. Objective: To analyse the expression of IL-6 on inflamed rat dental pulp tissue following application of propolis. Material and methods: Trigona sp. propolis was obtained from Luwu Regency, south Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Flavonoid and non-flavonoid extracts were purified from propolis using thin layer chromatography. The study was applied on 80 male Sprague Dawley rats, 10–12 weeks of age, divided randomly and equally into 5 groups. Group I, as negative control group was not conducted any treatment. At group II, III, IV and V. A Class I cavity (Black Classification) were made on the occlusal surface of right maxillary first molar. The dental pulp was perforated using dental explorer and allowed in the oral environment for 1 h, after that, Ethanolic Extract Propolis (EEP) (Group II), Extract Flavonoid-Propolis (EFP) (Group III), Extract Non-Flavonoid Propolis (ENFP) (Group IV), or Calcium Hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) (Group V) were applied on dental pulp. All cavities were then filled with Glass Ionomer Cement as permanent filling. The rats being sacrificed in 6 h, 2 days, 4 days and 7 days. Sample biopsy were obtained, IL-6 expression was detected by using immunohistochemistry method. Data was analyzed statistically using Freidman and Kruskal Wallis tests with significance level of P < 0.05. Results: All agent showed IL-6 expression in inflamed rat dental pulp tissue, and this expression was decreased with the longer of observation time periods. EEP more stronger to decreased IL-6 expression on inflamed rat dental pulp tissue than other agent. There is significant difference (P < 0.05) of IL-6 expression between group I and other groups in 6 h and 2 days but not in 4 and 7 days time periods. Conclusion: Trigona sp. propolis from south Sulawesi, Indonesia could suppressed the expression of IL-6 on inflamed rat dental pulp tissue.  相似文献

The wear on the occlusal surfaces of male babirusa cheek teeth was evaluated in 53 skulls of Babyrousa babyrussa from Buru and the Sula Islands and 87 skulls of B. celebensis from Sulawesi, Indonesia. Based on the comparative lengths of their continually growing maxillary canine teeth, the skulls were divided into five ‘age categories’ (A–E). Numerical and symbolic codes representing tooth wear were applied to each pillar (cusp region) of the mandibular and maxillary permanent third and fourth premolar teeth, and the first, second and third permanent molar teeth. There was no significant difference between the tooth wear patters of skulls in groups A and B, or in groups C and D, and so these were amalgamated. There was close correspondence in wear patterns between each side of the mouth in both species and in each age group. The wear patterns of the mandibular and maxillary teeth, although not identical, were very similar, as were the wear patterns of both species. In group A + B for both species tooth wear was relatively slight, with the M1 teeth experiencing most relative wear. There was almost no wear of the M3 teeth. In group C + D substantial wear of upper and lower M1 was evident. In group E more widespread wear of the cheek teeth was seen, with increased severity of M1 tooth wear, yet there was comparatively much less M2 and M3 tooth wear. The pattern of cheek tooth wear of the Babyrousa spp. was different from that shown by Sus scrofa. Differences in diet selection and processing were highlighted as potential contributing factors. The pattern of cheek tooth wear in male babirusa was not adequate for use to monitor their age.  相似文献

AimTo compare the angular changes of the third molars relative to the occlusal plane and to the second molar long axis in extraction group and compare these changes with a non extraction group.Materials and methodsThe study included pre and post treatment panoramic radiograph records of 90 subjects treated by first premolar extractions and 90 subjects who had been treated with non extraction orthodontic therapy (n = 90). Two angular variables were measured. Firstly, the angle between the long axis of the third molar and the occlusal plane (M3–OP) and secondly, the angle between the long axis of the third molar and the long axis of the second molar (M3–M2). Data were analyzed by paired and student’s t-test.ResultThe analyzed data to assess the changes in the third molar angulation from pretreatment to post treatment did not vary significantly in both the groups (p < 0.05). Both the groups showed decreased angular values. The M3–OP angular difference was (−7.3 ± 2.45) in extraction group as compared to (−5.85 ± 1.77) in non extraction group. The M3–M2 angular difference of (−4.26 ± 3.11) in extraction group and (−2.98 ± 1.74) in non-extraction group was observed.ConclusionExtraction of premolars did not demonstrate considerable changes on the angulation of the third molars. The factors other than premolar extractions may influence the angulation of the third molars.  相似文献

PurposeThe purpose of this study was to determine local DRLs for children and adults undergoing intraoral dental examinations at the intraoral radiology units of the public hospitals in Cyprus.MethodsMeasurements were made on all the twenty intraoral X-ray units of the public hospitals in Cyprus with the intention to establish the local DRLs for all the possible intraoral X-ray examinations for children and adults. All units are film based. The measurements were made by a Dose Area Product (DAP) meter (GAMMEX RMI 841-RD) placed at the surface of the dental unit’s X-ray shaping cone (FSD 20 cm). A diagnostic radiology dosimeter (Dosimax Plus A) was also placed at an FSD of 100 cm to compare the dose reading between the two dosimeters.ResultsDRLs were established at the 3rd quartile for 7 exposure settings corresponding to 12 types of teeth (Adult and children mandibular and maxillary incisor, premolar and molar) with values of 197, 163, 128, 102, 81, 65 and 49 mGycm−2 and 7.23, 5.94, 4.75, 3.68, 3.10, 2.41 and 1.88 mGy for benchmark nominal exposure times of 1000, 800, 640, 500, 400, 320 and 250 ms respectively, at a nominal exposure voltage of 70 kVp.ConclusionsThe local DRLs of the present study compare well with other similar published DRLs.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To compare 2D and 3D radiomics features prognostic performance differences in CT images of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). METHOD: We enrolled 588 NSCLC patients from three independent cohorts. Two sets of 463 patients from two different institutes were used as the training cohort. The remaining cohort with 125 patients was set as the validation cohort. A total of 1014 radiomics features (507 2D features and 507 3D features correspondingly) were assessed. Based on the dichotomized survival data, 2D and 3D radiomics indicators were calculated for each patient by trained classifiers. We used the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) to assess the prediction performance of trained classifiers (the support vector machine and logistic regression). Kaplan–Meier and Cox hazard survival analyses were also employed. Harrell's concordance index (C-Index) and Akaike's information criteria (AIC) were applied to assess the trained models. RESULTS: Radiomics indicators were built and compared by AUCs. In the training cohort, 2D_AUC = 0.653, 3D_AUC = 0.671. In the validation cohort, 2D_AUC = 0.755, 3D_AUC = 0.663. Both 2D and 3D trained indicators achieved significant results (P < .05) in the Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox regression. In the validation cohort, 2D Cox model had a C-Index = 0.683 and AIC = 789.047; 3D Cox model obtained a C-Index = 0.632 and AIC = 799.409. CONCLUSION: Both 2D and 3D CT radiomics features have a certain prognostic ability in NSCLC, but 2D features showed better performance in our tests. Considering the cost of the radiomics features calculation, 2D features are more recommended for use in the current study.  相似文献

A study of variables and patterns in dental wear among 30 individuals in a colony of Macaca nemestrina shows that consideration of age and sex are crucial for understanding differential wear degrees on molar occlusal planes. With advanced age, this species of non-human primate undergoes obliteration of initial morphological characteristics through the gradual erosion of enamel. Wear gradients are differential from PM1-M3 in both sexes. It appears that there is a functional relationship between degrees of occlusal plane wear and the degree of wear on the canines, and that females show a greater degree of wear changes relative to males of equivalent age because of initial differences in canine length and robusticity due to sexual dimorphism. It appears that there is a direct relationship between occlusal wear plane changes and the degree of wear on the canines, with advanced differential wear showing up in individuals in whom years of maxillary canine honing, canine damage, and the normal wear of mastication has reduced dimensions of unworn permanent canines. Other considerations included in this study are the honing functions of the deciduous first mandibular molars and molar cusp height relative to canine function.  相似文献

The growth of the maxillary canine teeth of the babirusa (genus Babyrousa) was studied on a sample of 149 adult male babirusa skulls from twenty-two international museum and private collections. Skulls from Buru, Sulawesi and the Togian Islands were represented. The continuous growth process was summarised into five stages (‘A’–‘E’) according to the position of the tip of the tooth over the bones of the skull. The supracutaneous portion of the tooth grew in a curve-linear fashion dorso-caudally, and was orientated such that the tips grew towards the midline of the cranium. The teeth of Sulawesi and Togian babirusa grew more dorsally over the nasal and frontal bones. Measurements were made on a subset of 45 teeth from Sulawesi babirusa skulls. The subcutaneous portion of the maxillary canine tooth (n = 22) increased in size from 37.3 mm (95% CI: 29.9–44.4 mm) in growth stage ‘B’ to 54.3 mm (49.4–59.2 mm) in growth stage ‘E’ as the erupted portion of the tooth (n = 19) lengthened from 81.3 mm (43.8–118.9 mm) in growth stage ‘A’ to 215.3 mm (177.8–252.9 mm) in growth stage ‘E’. The apical end of the tooth was open and thin-walled. The lumen of the tooth was filled with a cone of well vascularised dental pulp that extended almost to the tip of the tooth. The angle of curvature of the tooth within the alveolus (n = 22) decreased from 19.8 (17.3–22.3) degrees in growth stage ‘B’ to 7.4 (5.7–9.0) degrees in growth stage ‘E’. The corresponding supracutaneous angle of curvature (n = 25) reduced from 36.8 (33.6–40.1) degrees in growth stage ‘A’ to 10.7 (8.6–12.8) degrees in growth stage ‘E’.  相似文献

We aimed to develop a method of gathering complete information on the system of bite forces acting on the dental arches during clenching with the teeth in maximum intercuspation. Further, we attempted to reduce this system into an equivalent wrench—a force–couple system comprising a single force and a single couple acting along a unique line of action. We investigated the normative distribution of the bite forces and the location and orientation of their resultant wrench in 30 young adults (18–23 yr) with natural dentitions. The number of detected occlusal contacts varied from 12 to 46 (mean: 26.1; SD: 8.4), and was significantly greater for the molars than the premolar and anterior teeth, as were the bite-force magnitudes at individual occlusal contacts (1.2–218.4 N); those resulted in the antero-posteriorly slanted bite-force distribution. The magnitude of the bite-force resultants varied from 246.9 to 2091.9 N, and the points at which the resultant wrench axes intersected the mandibular occlusal plane were located 21.3–37.6 mm posterior to the incisal point and less than 8.9 mm from the midline bilaterally. The bite-force resultant was slightly inclined anteriorly from the perpendicular direction to the mandibular occlusal plane. Our method of using pressure-sensitive films to obtain information on all parameters needed to mechanically define a force (such as magnitude, direction, and point of application) is novel. To our knowledge, this is the first study investigating the system of bite forces during forceful intercuspal clenching in six degrees-of-freedom.  相似文献

ProjectTo measure the levels of heavy metals (Hg, Sn) in the dental pulp and blood samples of patients with long-term amalgam restorations.Procedure12 amalgam restored and 12 non-restored, sound teeth were chosen and access cavity preparation to the pulp chamber was made. The contents were transferred and dissolved in 5 mL of concentrated nitric acid followed by placement in an oven at 180 °C for tissue digestion. After cooling the tubes each digested sample was transferred to an atomic absorption system to measure the levels of heavy metals. The blood samples of five patients in each group were randomly analyzed to determine the levels of these heavy metals in the blood and if there were a correlation between these levels in blood and pulp. Data were analyzed by t-test at a P < 0.05 level of significance.ResultsNo significant difference was seen between the levels of Hg and Sn in pulp tissues (P > 0.05); however, the blood analysis showed higher level of Hg amalgam group (P = 0.009). The analysis between the pulp and blood samples showed positive correlations for both Hg and Sn elements in dental pulp and the blood (P = 1.000) (P = 0.900).ConclusionsThe long-term presence of dental amalgam (at least 5 years) did not result in any remarkable changes in the levels of mercury and tin in the pulp tissue; however, there were increases in the level of mercury in the blood circulation even five years following the placement of the restoration.  相似文献

Dental CT dose evaluations are commonly performed using thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLD) inside anthropomorphic phantoms. Radiochromic films with good sensitivity in the X-ray diagnostic field have recently been developed and are commercially available as GAFCHROMIC XR-QA. There are potential advantages in the use of radiochromic films such as a more comprehensive dosimetry thanks to the adjustable size of the film samples. The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of using radiochromic films for dental CT dose evaluations.Film samples were cut with a width of 5 mm and a length of 25 mm (strips), the same size as the Alderson Rando anthropomorphic phantom holes used in this study. Dental CT dose measurements were performed using simultaneously both TLD and radiochromic strips in the same phantom sites. Two equipment types were considered for dental CT examinations: a 16 slice CT and a cone beam CT. Organ equivalent doses were then obtained averaging the measurements from the sites of the same organ and effective doses were calculated using ICRP 103 weighting factors. The entire procedure was repeated four times for each CT in order to compare also the repeatability of the two dosimeter types.A linear correlation was found between the absorbed dose evaluated with radiochromic films and with TLD, with slopes of 0.930 and 0.944 (correlation r > 0.99). The maximum difference between the two dosimeter’s measurements was 25%, whereas the average difference was 7%. The measurement repeatability was comparable for the two dosimeters at cumulative doses above 15 mGy (estimated uncertainty at 1 sigma level of about 5%), whereas below this threshold radiochromic films show a greater dispersion of data, of about 10% at 1 sigma level. We obtained, using respectively Gafchromic and TLD measurements, effective dose values of 107 μSv and 117 μSv (i.e. difference of 8.6%) for the cone beam CT and of 523 μSv and 562 μSv (i.e. difference of 7%) for the multislice CT.This study demonstrates the feasibility of radiochromic films for dental CT dosimetry, pointing out a good agreement with the results obtained using TLD, with potential advantages and the chance of a more extensive dose investigation.  相似文献

Atta bisphaerica is a species of grass-cutting ants commonly found in the Cerrado biome. The Brazilian Cerrado (savanna) biome covers 2 million km representing 23% of the area of the country. It is an ancient biome with rich biodiversity, estimated at 160,000 species of plants, fungi and animals. However, little is known about their nest architecture development. This study investigated the architecture of fourteen A. bisphaerica nests from Botucatu, São Paulo, Brazil. Molds were made of the nests by filling them with cement to allow better visualization of internal structures such as chambers and tunnels. After excavation, the depth and dimensions (length, width, and height) of the chambers were measured. As expected, there was a lateral development in the nests and increase in the number of chambers over time. Results showed that in nests with an estimated age of 14 months, the average depth was 1.6 ± 0.4 m; for those with 18 months it was 2.2 ± 0.7 m and at 28 months it was 2.5 ± 0.7 m. The number of chambers varied from 4 to 7 in 28-month nests, 2 to 4 in 18-month nests, and from 2 to 3 in 14-month nests. With respect to the dimensions of the internal tunnels, there were variations in their average width, increasing with time. The fungus chambers were located beneath the largest mound of loose soil. This study contributes to a better understanding of the so far unknown nest architecture development of A. bisphaerica grass-cutting ants.  相似文献

Climate change and human impacts are often implicated in Quaternary megafaunal extinctions. The discovery of associated remains of extinct giant short-faced bears (Arctodus simus) and invading brown bears (Ursus arctos) raises the possibility of competition as another potential factor. We describe fossil remains of both genera from Pellucidar Cave, Vancouver Island, Canada. Analyses of ancient mitochondrial DNA support the identifications of post-cranial brown bear specimens and assign these bears to Clade 4. Our results are consistent with the migration of brown bears from Eastern Beringia to the contiguous United States before the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) and to Vancouver Island as environmental conditions became favorable after the LGM. Radiocarbon age estimates on these specimens indicate the presence of giant short-faced bears approximately 13.5 thousand calibrated years before present (cal. ka BP; uncalibrated 11,775 ± 30, 11,720 ± 50, and 11,615 ± 30 BP) and of brown bears immediately preceding (~14.5 cal. ka BP; 12,440 ± 35, 12,425 ± 30 BP) and following this time (~13 cal. ka BP; uncal. 11,100 ± 30 BP), suggesting niche partitioning to reduce competition among these species. We suggest that shifts in food availability or quality due to post-glacial vegetation and faunal changes were probably of primary importance in the arrival and the disappearance of giant short-faced bears on Vancouver Island. This study focuses on a key time period and geographic location that is useful in understanding Pleistocene extinctions in North America.  相似文献

PurposeTo calculate organ doses and estimate the effective dose for justification purposes in patients undergoing orthognathic treatment planning purposes and temporal bone imaging in dental cone beam CT (CBCT) and Multidetector CT (MDCT) scanners.MethodsThe radiation dose to the ICRP reference male voxel phantom was calculated for dedicated orthognathic treatment planning acquisitions via Monte Carlo simulations in two dental CBCT scanners, Promax 3D Max (Planmeca, FI) and NewTom VGi evo (QR s.r.l, IT) and in Somatom Definition Flash (Siemens, DE) MDCT scanner. For temporal bone imaging, radiation doses were calculated via MC simulations for a CBCT protocol in NewTom 5G (QR s.r.l, IT) and with the use of a software tool (CT-expo) for Somatom Force (Siemens, DE). All procedures had been optimized at the acceptance tests of the devices.ResultsFor orthognathic protocols, dental CBCT scanners deliver lower doses compared to MDCT scanners. The estimated effective dose (ED) was 0.32 mSv for a normal resolution operation mode in Promax 3D Max, 0.27 mSv in VGi-evo and 1.18 mSv in the Somatom Definition Flash. For temporal bone protocols, the Somatom Force resulted in an estimated ED of 0.28 mSv while for NewTom 5G the ED was 0.31 and 0.22 mSv for monolateral and bilateral imaging respectively.ConclusionsTwo clinical exams which are carried out with both a CBCT or a MDCT scanner were compared in terms of radiation dose. Dental CBCT scanners deliver lower doses for orthognathic patients whereas for temporal bone procedures the doses were similar.  相似文献

ObjectiveSaliva may become a potential source of contamination through vertical and horizontal transmissions as well as cross-infections. This study aims to use saliva as a screening tool to detect putative periodontal pathogens in a young population with fairly good oral hygiene.Materials and methodsStimulated saliva samples were obtained from 134 dental students (20.5 ± 1 years, range 18–22 years). Among those, 77 subjects also completed a periodontal examination including attachment loss, modified dental, gingival and plaque indices (AL, mDI, GI and PI). The test bacteria were identified using a 16S rRNA-based PCR detection method.ResultsOne or more of the test bacteria was found in 67% of the subjects. Prevotella nigrescens was detected as single bacterium in 16% of the subjects followed by Treponema denticola (4%), Porphyromonas gingivalis (2%), Aggregatibacter (formerly Actinobacillus) actinomycetemcomitans (1%) and Tannerella forsythia (1%). Two or more pathogens were detected in 42% of the subjects. Clinical examination revealed health with no attachment loss (AL) in 84% of the students. In no AL group, 38% of the students were pathogen free while this was 25% for students in localized AL group (p > 0.05). There was a statistically significant association between the detection of salivary periodontal pathogen in general and higher PI (p = 0.018) and GI (p = 0.043).ConclusionWithin the limits of this study, it is possible to detect all six periodontal pathogens in the saliva of dental students. Although a correlation can be observed between the presence of salivary periodontal pathogen and clinical signs of inflammation such as plaque accumulation and gingival bleeding, detection of specific bacteria in saliva is not related to the presence of localized AL based on the presented study population.  相似文献

OBJECT: Thyroid cancer represents the most frequent malignancy of the endocrine system with an increasing incidence worldwide. Novel imaging techniques are able to further characterize tumors and even predict histopathology features. Texture analysis is an emergent imaging technique to extract extensive data from an radiology images. The present study was therefore conducted to identify possible associations between texture analysis and histopathology parameters in thyroid cancer. METHODS: The radiological database was retrospectively reviewed for thyroid carcinoma. Overall, 13 patients (3 females, 23.1%) with a mean age of 61.6 years were identified. The MaZda program was used for texture analysis. The T1-precontrast and T2-weighted images were analyzed and overall 279 texture feature for each sequence was investigated. For every patient cell count, Ki67-index and p53 count were investigated. RESULTS: Several significant correlations between texture features and histopathology were identified. Regarding T1-weighted images, S(0;1)Sum Averg correlated the most with cell count (r = 0.82). An inverse correlations with S(5;0)AngScMom, S(5;0)DifVarnc S(5;0), DiffEntrp and GrNonZeros (r = ?0.69, ?0.66, ?0.69 and ?0.63, respectively) was also identified. For T2-weighted images, Variance with r = 0.63 was the highest coefficient, WavEnLL_S3 correlated inversely with cell count (r = ?0.57). WavEnLL_S2 derived from T1-weighted images was the highest coefficient r = ?0.80, S(0;5)SumVarnc was positively with r = 0.74. Regarding T2-weighted images WavEnHL_s-1 was inverse correlated with Ki67 index (r = ?0.77). S(1;0)Correlat was with r = 0.75 the best correlation with Ki67 index. For T1-weighed images S(5;0)SumofSqs was the best with r = 0.65 with p53 count. For T2-weighted images S(1;?1)SumEntrp was the inverse correlation with r = ?0.72, whereas S(0;4)AngScMom correlated positively with r = 0.63. CONCLUSIONS: MRI texture analysis derived from conventional sequences reflects histopathology features in thyroid cancer. This technique might be a novel noninvasive modality to further characterize thyroid cancer in clinical oncology.  相似文献

Delamination of the veneering composite is frequently encountered with fibre-reinforced composite (FRC) fixed dental prosthesis (FDPs). The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of framework design on the load-bearing capacity of laboratory-made three-unit inlay-retained FRC-FDPs. Inlay-retained FRC-FDPs replacing a lower first molar were constructed. Seven framework designs were evaluated: PFC, made of particulate filler composite (PFC) without fibre-reinforcement; FRC1, one bundle of unidirectional FRC; FRC2, two bundles of unidirectional FRC; FRC3, two bundles of unidirectional FRC covered by two pieces of short unidirectional FRC placed perpendicular to the main framework; SFRC1, two bundles of unidirectional FRC covered by new experimental short random-orientated FRC (S-FRC) and veneered with 1.5 mm of PFC; SFRC2, completely made of S-FRC; SFRC3, two bundles of unidirectional FRC covered by S-FRC. Load-bearing capacity was determined for two loading conditions (n=6): central fossa loading and buccal cusp loading. FRC-FDPs with a modified framework design made of unidirectional FRC and S-FRC exhibited a significant higher load-bearing capacity (p<0.05) (927±74 N) than FRC-FDPs with a conventional framework design (609±119 N) and PFC-FDPs (702±86 N). Central fossa loading allowed significant higher load-bearing capacities than buccal cusp loading. This study revealed that all S-FRC frameworks exhibited comparable or higher load-bearing capacity in comparison to an already established improved framework design. So S-FRC seems to be a viable material for improving the framework of FRC-FDPs. Highest load-bearing capacity was observed with FRC frameworks made of a combination of unidirectional FRC and S-FRC.  相似文献

To examine the standard Mn and Cu concentrations in mixed saliva from children and the relationship between these levels and dental caries, resting mixed saliva samples obtained from 527 children of an elementary school in Kitakyushu City were collected at 10:00–11:30 a.m. during December 2004. The Mn and Cu concentrations were determined using simultaneous multi-element atomic absorption spectrometry. The standard Mn and Cu levels were 22.0±15.2 and 3.8±4.1 ng/mL, respectively, in the sound teeth group. Mn levels were significantly higher in boys (25.4±17.4 ng/mL) than girls (19.1±12.3 ng/mL) and also higher in upper (25.5±16.4 ng/mL) than lower (19.0±13.5 ng/mL) grades. The Cu level was unaffected by sex and age in the sound teeth group. The Cu level in children with caries experience (5.7±5.3 ng/mL) was significantly higher than that of the sound teeth group. Moreover, the Cu levels in children with untreated caries were significantly higher than that of the sound teeth group, and increased with the number of untreated teeth. No significant difference was found in the Cu concentrations between the group in which all decayed teeth were treated and the sound teeth group. The Mn levels were similar with or without caries and treatment. These findings indicate that the Mn level in mixed saliva depended on sex and age, and suggest the possibility of Cu dissolving into mixed saliva by demineralization due to dental caries.  相似文献
