The complexes [Cu(samen)Cu(L)] and [Cu(samen)Ni(L)2] (Lbpy, phen) have been synthesized by the reaction of sodium N,N′-ethylenedisalicylamidatocuprate(II) pentahydrate (Na2- [Cu(samen)]·5H2O), a divalent metal ion, and 2,2′- dipyridyl or 1,10-phenanthroline. Cryomagnetic data for the CuCu complexes did not fit the Bleaney- Bowers equation; but the data did fit a modified Bleaney-Bowers equation
with a large negative J and a significant negative θ, suggesting that a considerable magnetic interaction operates between essentially planar [Cu(samen)Cu(L)] molecules. The magnetisms of the CuNi complexes were well interpreted in terms of the susceptibility equation based on the Heisenberg model. An antiferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction (J= −13∼−14 cm−1) was suggested between the metal ions.  相似文献

The platinum(II) complexes of the formula [Pt(DCHEDA)X2], where DCHEDA is N,N′-dicyclohexylethylenediamine and X is CL, Br, I, 0.5C2O42− (oxalate), 0.5C3H2O42− (malonate), 0.5C9H4O62− (4-carboxyphthalate), 0.5S2O32− or 0.5SO42−, have been synthesized and characterized by UVVis, IR, and 1H NMR spectral techniques. All the above complexes are non-electrolytes in DMF/H2O, except the sulphate complex which becomes a 1:1 electrolyte after incubation for 24 h at 28 °C. The halide complexes were also studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and these data suggest that there is π-bonding from platinum to halide in these complexes. The oxalate, malonate and sulphate bind in their complexes as bidentate ligands to platinum through two oxygen atoms whereas the thiosulphate in its complex binds as a bidentate ligand to platinum through one oxygen atom and one sulphur atom.  相似文献

Copper(II) ,-dicarboxylate complexes of general formulae, [Cu(O2C(CH2)nCO2)]·xH2O, [Cu(O2C(CH2)nCO2) (phen)2xH2O and [Cu(O2C(CH2)nCO2)(bipy)yxH2O (n=1–8; y=1, 2; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline; bipy = 2,2-bipyridine) were synthesised. These copper complexes, some related manganese(II) complexes and the metal-free ligands were screened in vitro for their ability to inhibit the growth of Candida albicans. Metal-free 1,10-phenanthroline and all of the copper(II) and manganese(II) phenanthroline complexes were potent growth inhibitors, with only one bipyridine complex, [Cu(O2C(CH2)CO2)(bipy)2]·2H2O, having moderate activity. The remaining substances were effectively inactive. Complexes which were active against C. albicans also proved effective against C. glabrata, C. tropicalis and C. kreusi with the manganese complexes retaining superior activity. For the phenanthroline complexes the active drug species is thought to be the dication [M(phen)2(H2O)n]2+ (M = Cu, Mn). Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were resistant to all of the metal complexes and also to metal-free 1,10-phenanthroline. Only the copper phenanthroline complexes showed intermediate activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.  相似文献

The computational properties of the η6-toluene and η6-trifluorotoluene half-sandwich Ru(II) anticancer complexes and their respective hydrated complexes are computed using DFT method and the quantum theory of atoms in a molecule (QTAIM) analysis. The interatomic properties that are crucial in understanding the noncovalent interactions and the stability of these complexes are considered. We observed that high polarization, charge transfer (CT) and strong networks of intramolecular hydrogen bond (HB) interactions significant influenced the stability of these complexes. The trifluorotoluene and the hydrated models are characterized with higher CT, polarizability, synergistic effect of ligand fragments, stronger and higher HB interactions that support their reported experimental anticancer activities and the mechanism of their activation by hydrolysis. The complexes are predominantly characterized with metal to ligand CT.  相似文献

Two phenoxo bridged dinuclear Cu(II) complexes, [Cu2L2(NO2)2] (1) and [Cu2L2(NO3)2] (2) have been synthesized using the tridentate reduced Schiff-base ligand 2-[(2-dimethylamino-ethylamino)-methyl]-phenol (HL). The complexes have been characterized by X-ray structural analyses and variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. The structures of the two compounds are very similar having the same tridentate chelating ligand (L) and mono-dentate anionic ligand nitrite for 1 and nitrate for 2. In both complexes Cu(II) is penta-coordinated but the square pyramidal geometry of the copper ions is severely distorted (Addison parameter (τ) = 0.33) in 1 while the distortion is quite small (average τ = 0.11) in 2. These differences have marked effect on the magnetic properties of two compounds. Although both are antiferromagnetically coupled, the coupling constants (J = −140.8 and −614.7 cm−1 for 1 and 2, respectively) show that the coupling is much stronger in 2.  相似文献

In the presence of a catalytic amount of RuHCl(CO)(PR3)n (R=iPr, n=2; R=Ph, n=3), 1,1,2,2-tetramethyl-1,2-divinyldisilane (1) undergoes unexpected and clean isomerization via the Si-Si bond cleavage to yield a mixture of 6- and 5-membered cyclic compounds, 1,1,4,4-tetramethyl-1,4-disilacyclohex-2-ene and 1,1,2,3,3,-pentamethyl-1,3-disilacyclopent-4-ene, the former being the major product.  相似文献

N-Salicyloyl-N-p-hydroxythiobenzohydrazide (H2STPH) and N-benzoyl-N-thiobenzohydrazide (H2BTBH) and their Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes were prepared and characterized by physicochemical studies. IR and NMR spectral studies imply dibasic tetradentate behaviour of the ligands bonding through `thiolato' sulfur, enolic oxygen and the two hydrazinic nitrogens in a polymeric fashion. The electronic spectra indicate [Ni(STPH)(H2O)2], [Co(STPH)(H2O)2] to be distorted octahedral while [Cu(BTBH)] has a square-planar geometry. In vitro antitumor results of the ligand and the complexes on P-815 (murine mastocytoma) and L-929 (murine fibroblast) indicate that these compounds show significant inhibition of 3H-thymidine and 3H-uridine incorporation in DNA and RNA, respectively, in these tumor cells at dose levels of 1, 2.5 and 5 g cm–3. Antitumor studies suggest that [Cu(BTBH)] has significant dose dependent inhibitory effect on DNA synthesis. In vivo administration of [Cu(BTBH)] and [Ni(STPH)(H2O)2] resulted into prolongation of life span of Dalton's Lymphoma (DL) bearing mice.  相似文献

The group IIb metal dihalide-N,N,N′-trimethylethylenediamine complexes are described. Low frequency infrared spectroscopic studies and conductance data have provided evidence for the formulation and structure of the complexes. The thermal behaviour of these complexes has been examined by thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. For cadmium and mercury complexes complete loss of ligand occurred followed eventually by sublimation of the metal halide, whereas the zinc complexes sublimed unchanged.  相似文献

Dinuclear cobalt(II) complexes Co2(bpmp)(OAc)3 (1) and Co2(bpcp)(OAc)3 (2) have been synthesized by using acyclic ligands 2,6-bis((4-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrimidin-2-ylthio)methyl)-4-methylphenol [H(bpmp)] and 2,6-bis((4-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrimidin-2-ylthio)methyl)-4-chlorophenol [H(bpcp)] with versatile coordination sites. X-ray analysis uncovered that complex 1 · 3H2O contains a μ-phenoxo-μ-acetato-bis(η2-acetato) dicobalt(II, II) core. Magnetic susceptibility was measured for 1 over the temperature range 1.8-300 K, and the best theoretical fitting parameters were g = 2.12(6), J = −3.63(9) cm−1 and D = −12(4) cm−1.  相似文献

The one pot aqueous reaction of M(ClO4)2 (M = Cu2+ or Ni2+) with N-methylbis[2-(2-pyridylethyl)]amine (MeDEPA) and N,N′-dimethyl-N,N′-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine (bpmen) and 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (cyclen) in presence of sodium dicyanamide (Nadca) yielded dicyanamido-bridged polynuclear complex {[Cu(MeDEPA)(μ-1,5-dca)]ClO4}n (1), and two dinuclear complexes [Cu2(bpmen)2(μ-1,5-dca)]2(ClO4)5dca (2) and [Ni(cyclen)(μ-1,5-dca)]2(ClO4)2 (3). These complexes were characterized by IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Room temperature single-crystal X-ray studies have confirmed that the Cu(II) centers in 1 and 2 adopt geometries that are more close to trigonal bipyramidal (TBP) in 1 and close to square pyramidal (SP) in 2, whereas in 3, the Ni(II) centers are located in octahedral environment with doubly bridged μ-1,5-dca bonding mode. The intermolecular M···M distances in these complexes are in the range of 7.3-8.6 Å. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility studies have confirmed that the dca-bridges mediate very weak antiferromagnetic interaction between the M(II) centers with J values of −0.35, −0.18 and −0.43 cm−1 for 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The results are compared and discussed in the light of other related bridged μ-1,5-dca Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes.  相似文献

Abstract

Chemical speciation of Mg(II) and Ca(II) complexes of L-histidine in the presence of water–surfactant mixtures in the concentration range 0.0–2.5% w/v CTAB and SDS, 0.0–5.0% v/v TX-100 maintaining an ionic strength of 0.16 mol dm?3 at 303 K has been studied pH metrically. The active forms of the ligand are LH32+, LH2+, LH and L?. The models containing different numbers of species were refined by using the computer program, MINIQUAD75. The predominant species detected were ML2H44+, ML2H33+, ML2H22+, and ML2. The best fit chemical models were arrived at based on statistical parameters. The trend in variation of complex stability constants with change in the composition of the medium is explained on the basis of electrostatic and non-electrostatic forces. The effect of errors in the stability constants was also studied. Chemical speciation was also discussed based on the distribution diagrams.  相似文献

The interactions of five bis(bipyridyl) Ru(II) complexes of pteridinyl-phenanthroline ligands with calf thymus DNA have been studied. The pteridinyl extensions were selected to provide hydrogen-bonding patterns complementary to the purine and pyrimidine bases of DNA and RNA. The study includes three new complexes [Ru(bpy)(2)(L-pterin)](2+), [Ru(bpy)(2)(L-amino)](2+), and [Ru(bpy)(2)(L-diamino)](2+) (bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine and L-pterin, L-amino, and L-diamino are phenanthroline fused to pterin, 4-aminopteridine, and 2,4-diaminopteridine), two previously reported complexes [Ru(bpy)(2)(L-allox)](2+) and [Ru(bpy)(2)(L-Me(2)allox)](2+) (L-allox and L-Me(2)allox are phenanthroline fused to alloxazine and 1,3-dimethyalloxazine), the well-known DNA intercalator [Ru(bpy)(2)(dppz)](2+) (dppz is dipyridophenazine), and the negative control [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+). Reported are the syntheses of the three new Ru-pteridinyl complexes and the results of calf thymus DNA binding experiments as probed by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, viscometry, and thermal denaturation titrations. All Ru-pteridine complexes bind to DNA via an intercalative mode of comparable strength. Two of these four complexes-[Ru(bpy)(2)(L-pterin)](2+) and [Ru(bpy)(2)(L-allox)](2+)-exhibit biphasic DNA melting curves interpreted as reflecting exceptionally stable surface binding. Three new complexes-[Ru(bpy)(2)(L-diamino)](2+), [Ru(bpy)(2)(L-amino)](2) and [Ru(bpy)(2)(L-pterin)](2+)-behave as DNA molecular "light switches."  相似文献

A phenylthiophenyl-bearing Ru(II) complex of [Ru(bpy)2(Hbptip)](PF6)2 {bpy?=?2,2′-bipyridine, Hbptip?=?2-(4-phenylthiophen-2-yl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline} was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR spectroscopy, and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. The ground- and excited-state acid–base properties of the complex were studied by UV–visible absorption and photoluminescence spectrophotometric pH titrations and the negative logarithm values of the ground-state acid ionization constants were derived to be pK a1?=?1.31?±?0.09 and pK a2?=?5.71?±?0.11 with the pK a2 associated deprotonation/protonation process occurring over 3 pK a units more acidic than thiophenyl-free parent complex of [Ru(bpy)2(Hpip)]2+ {Hpip?=?2-phenyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline}. The calf thymus DNA-binding properties of [Ru(bpy)2(Hbptip)]2+ in Tris–HCl buffer (pH 7.1 and 50?mM NaCl) were investigated by DNA viscosities and density functional theoretical calculations as well as UV–visible and emission spectroscopy techniques of UV–visible and luminescence titrations, steady-state emission quenching by [Fe(CN)6]4?, DNA competitive binding with ethidium bromide, DNA melting experiments, and reverse salt effects. The complex was evidenced to bind to the DNA intercalatively with binding affinity being greater than those for previously reported analogs of [Ru(bpy)2(Hip)]2+, [Ru(bpy)2(Htip)]2+, and [Ru(bpy)2(Haptip)]2+ {Hip?=?1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline, Htip?=?2-thiophenimidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline, Haptip?=?2-(5-phenylthiophen-2-yl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline}.  相似文献

Synthesis of complexes cis,cis-WVOXL (X=Cl, NCS), cis,trans-WVOXL (X=Cl, OPh, SPh) and cis,trans-WVIE2L (E2=O2, OS, S2) of the title ligand LH2 are reported. cis,cis-WVOCIL crystallises in space group P21/c with a=13.6541(9) Å, b=7.1555(11) Å, c=18.198(2) Å, β=95.294(6)°, V=1770.4(3) Å3 and Z=4 while the cis, trans isomer crystallises in space group P21/n with a=10.361(3) Å, b=14.141(4) Å, c=12.213(5) Å, β=102.56(3)°, V=1747(2) Å3 and Z=4. cis,trans-WVIS2L crystallises in space group P21/n with a=10.645(2) Å, b=13.929(2) Å, c=12.189(2) Å, β=103.14(2)°, V=1760(1) Å3 and Z=4. A short CH3···Cl distance of 3.067(7) Å and an acute OWCl angle of 94.1(2)° are seen in cis,cis-WVOClL, which converts to the cis, trans form on heating in MeCN. The latter isomer features a CH3···Cl distance of 3.38(2) Å and an OWCl angle of 105.1(8)°. Electrochemical and EPR data are reported. In particular, cis,trans-WVIE2L may be reduced to [WVE2L]. EPR properties of these anions and those of complexes WVOXL are discussed in the context of WV centres in tungsten enzymes.  相似文献

Synthesis of a series of cationic “wrap-around” complexes, η3-, η2- (CH2-CH-CHR-CH2-CH2-CHCHX) Pd(II)L+ (R = H, CH3; X = H, Cl, CO2Me; L = PPh3, P(C4H4N)3), is described. These chelate complexes were prepared by exposure of π-allyl chloride dimers, (η3-(CH2-CX-CH2)PdCl)2, to either 1,3-butadiene or isoprene to yield π-allyl chloride dimers of the type (η3-CH2CHCRCH2CH2CH = CH(X)PdCl)2 which result from insertion of the diene into each π-allyl unit. Abstraction of chloride with either AgSbF6 or NaB(ArF)4 in the presence of L gives the cationic wrap-around complexes in high yields. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies of 8a (R = -CH3, X = -Cl, L = PPh3) and 9a (R = -H, X = -Cl, L = PPh3) show that Pd(II) adopts essentially a square planar geometry and the chelate arm occupies a syn orientation with respect to the allyl unit. Exposure of these wrap-around complexes to nitriles of differing basicities displaces the chelated alkene to varying extents and allows assessment of the relative strengths of chelation as a function of substituents, X and R. Initial rapid displacement of the chelated alkene yields a syn-π-allyl isomer which equilibrates with the anti-π-allyl isomer which cannot close to form a chelate. Treatment of 8b with 1,3-butadiene gives not polybutadiene but 2-chloro-4-methyl-1,E-4,6-heptatriene and 2-chloro-4-methyl-1,Z-4,6-heptatriene. Formation of these trienes is first-order in butadiene. This reaction serves as a model for chain-transfer in the polymerization of butadiene.  相似文献

Abstract

Chemical speciation of binary complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with L-valine in 0.0-60.0% v/v acetonitrile-water mixtures was studied pH-metrically at an ionic strength of 0.16 mol L-1 at 303.0 K. The existence of different binary complexes was established from the modelling studies, using the computer program MINIQUAD75. The appropriateness of the model was ascertained by studying the effect of errors in concentrations of the reagents. The trend in variation of stability constants with change in the permittivity of the medium is explained on the basis of electrostatic and non-electrostatic forces. The species distribution diagrams and the plausible equilibria for the formation of the species are also presented.  相似文献

New 3,5-bis(2-pyridyl)pyrazolato (bpypz) bridged heterometal dinuclear complexes [(nta)Cr(μ-bpypz)MII(picen)]+ (M = Mn(II), Ni(II)) and [(acac)2Cr(μ-bpypz)NiII(picen)]2+ (nta = nitrilotriacetate, picen = N,N′-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine, acac = acetylacetate) were synthesized and characterized by the X-ray analysis, ESI-MS and the magnetic measurements, and/or 2H NMR spectra. The molecular structures were compared from a viewpoint of the conformation of the picen depending on MII ionic radii or different modes of hydrogen bonds. The picen in [(nta)Cr(μ-bpypz)MnII(picen)]BF4 takes an abnormal conformation with intramolecular bifurcated three-center hydrogen bonds between two carboxylate oxygens of nta and an amine proton of the picen as found for the previously reported corresponding Fe(II) complex [K. Ni-iya, A. Fuyuhiro, T. Yagi, S. Nasu, K. Kuzushita, S. Morimoto, S. Kaizaki, Bull. Chem. Soc. Jpn. 74 (2001) 1891]. On the other hand, for both Ni(II)-nta and Ni(II)-acac complexes, the picen takes a normal conformation with only a two-center hydrogen bond between non-bridging ligands. The magneto-structural relation is discussed for the Cr(III)–Ni(II) complexes in connection with the orthogonality or orbital overlap arising from the difference in distortion around Cr(III) moiety.  相似文献
