Results are presented from measurements of the energy spectra and fluxes of the escaping charged fusion products and fluxes of fusion neutrons in ohmic regimes of the T-10 tokamak. The central temperature of the plasma ions is determined from the broadening of the energy spectra of thermonuclear protons and tritons. The ion temperature profile is evaluated from the dependence of the fluxes of charged fusion products on the radial plasma shift. It is proposed to use a single spectrometric detector with several collimators and slowing-down foils to measure the distribution of charged fusion products over pitch angles, which permits the determination of the ion temperature profile in a single shot. The feasibility of the method proposed is proved experimentally.  相似文献

Aiming to scale up and apply control and optimization strategies, currently is required the development of accurate plant models to forecast the process nonlinear dynamics. In this work, a mathematical model to predict the growth of the Kluyveromyces marxianus and temperature profile in a fixed-bed bioreactor for solid-state fermentation using sugarcane bagasse as substrate was built up. A parameter estimation technique was performed to fit the mathematical model to the experimental data. The estimated parameters and the model fitness were evaluated with statistical analyses. The results have shown the estimated parameters significance, with 95 % confidence intervals, and the good quality of process model to reproduce the experimental data.  相似文献

The active particle diagnostic technique is used to study the ion temperature at five spatial points along the path of a hydrogen diagnostic beam. The temperature of the main ion plasma component (deuterium ions) measured by this diagnostic technique along the beam path is compared with the temperature of carbon ions (C+5). A study is made of the following characteristic features of the behavior of the ion temperature profiles Ti in various TORE SUPRA operating modes: the formation of flat and even hollow Ti profiles in ohmic discharges with q ~3 at the plasma edge, the change in Ti profiles in ergodic divertor discharges, and the difference between the temperature of the bulk ions measured by the active particle diagnostic technique and the temperature of C+5 ions in the plasma region r/a>0.5. The features revealed are explained at a qualitative level.  相似文献

The formation of a magnetic island as a result of tearing instability can be interpreted as the bifurcation of an axisymmetric equilibrium configuration at which nested magnetic surfaces are preserved. The modification of the current density profile due to such bifurcation is studied using the Hamiltonian formalism. In the case of a long narrow island, the gradient profile changes to a profile with an extremum on the axis of the magnetic island.  相似文献

The plasma radiative loss profile in the T-11M tokamak operating with a lithium limiter was measured using a sixteen-channel absolute extreme-ultraviolet photodiode array. The field of view of the detector was set in a vertical plane tangential to the plasma column axis. The radiative loss profile was recovered by solving an inverse problem under the assumption of toroidal and poloidal symmetry of the plasma column. A stable algorithm is developed for solving the problem with this geometry, and the possible errors of the method are evaluated. The radiative loss profiles and their evolution in various tokamak regimes are derived.  相似文献

Charge-exchange recombination spectroscopy (CXRS) based on a diagnostic neutral beam has been developed at the T-10 tokamak. The diagnostics allows one to measure the ion temperature profile in the cross section of the plasma column. In T-10 experiments, the measurement technique was adjusted and the elements of the CXRS diagnostics for ITER were tested. The used spectroscopic equipment makes it possible to reliably determine the ion temperature from the Doppler broadening of impurity lines (helium, carbon), as well as of the spectral lines of the working gas. The profiles of the plasma ion temperature in deuterium and helium discharges were measured at different plasma currents and densities, including with the use of active Doppler measurements of lines of different elements. The validity and reliability of ion temperature measurements performed by means of the developed CXRS diagnostics are analyzed.  相似文献

Histonelike nucleoid structuring protein (H-NS) is an abundant prokaryotic protein participating in nucleoid structure, gene regulation, and silencing. It plays a key role in cell response to changes in temperature and osmolarity. Force-extension measurements of single, twist-relaxed lambda-DNA-H-NS complexes show that these adopt more extended configurations compared to the naked DNA substrates. Crosslinking indicates that H-NS can decorate DNA molecules at one H-NS dimer per 15-20 bp. These results suggest that H-NS polymerizes along DNA, forming a complex of higher bending rigidity. These effects are not observed above 32 degrees C or at high osmolarity, supporting the hypothesis that a direct H-NS-DNA interaction plays a key role in gene silencing. Thus, we propose that H-NS plays a unique structural role, different from that of HU and IHF, and functions as one of the environmental sensors of the cell.  相似文献

Results are presented from studies of the time evolution of the ion temperature in the T-10 tokamak in the course of injection of several (up to five) deuterium pellets into a deuterium plasma the electron component of which is heated at the second harmonic of the electron gyrofrequency. It is shown that, at an electron cyclotron heating power of 900 kW, the injection of five pellets is accompanied by an increase in the ion temperature to 1200 keV, which is a record value for T-10. It is noted that energy exchange between the electron and ion components in these experiments is a purely classical, Coulomb process.  相似文献

Abstract-the formation of transport barriers under electron cyclotron resonance heating and current drive in the t-10 tokamak is studied. in regimes with off-axis co-eccd and q L <4 at the limiter, a spontaneous transition to improved confinement accompanied by the formation of two electron transport barriers is observed. the improvement resembles an L-H transition. It manifests itself as density growth, a decrease in the Dα emission intensity, and an increase in the central electron and ion temperatures. Two deep wells on the potential profile (the first one at r/a L ≈0.6, where a L is the limiter radius, and the second one near the edge) arise during the transition. the internal barrier is formed when dq/dr~0 with q≈1 in the barrier region.  相似文献

Bifurcation of solutions to the Grad–Shafranov-type equation for helically symmetric plasma near the threshold for tearing instability are analyzed. Quadratic and cubic nonlinearities were added to the linear dependence of the current density on the helical flux. Depending on the character of nonlinearity, two types of bifurcation can be observed, the “small” and the “large” ones. The small bifurcation is typical of cubic nonlinearity and reveals itself in the growth of the magnetic island from zero as the profile parameter increases above the instability threshold. The large bifurcation is typical of quadratic nonlinearity and causes jumplike formation of a large-scale magnetic island upon exceeding the instability threshold. As the profile parameter decreases below the instability threshold, the large-scale island continues to persist for some time (the hysteresis effect) and then suddenly disappears.  相似文献

The diatom Odontella aurita has now been industrially cultured and commercialized as a dietary supplement rich in omega-3 fatty acids for several years. In this study, we investigated the effect of three temperatures (8, 16, and 24 °C) on the growth and fatty acid composition of cells harvested during the exponential and stationary growth phases. These temperatures were selected on the basis of photosynthesis responses previously obtained at different temperatures using a modulated fluorometer. Our results confirm that both growth and lipid composition were sensitive to culture temperature. Growth was reduced when O. aurita was cultured at low temperature (8 °C) compared to when it was cultured at high temperatures (16 and 24 °C), but the proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs, 20:5 n-3 and 22:6 n-3) increased while the level of saturated fatty acids (SFAs, 14:0 and 16:0) decreased in the cells harvested during both the exponential and stationary growth phases. On the other hand, the cells grown at 24 °C displayed a marked decrease in PUFA and an increase in SFA levels. Harvesting time is also a critical parameter in achieving optimum n-3 PUFA productivity during batch cultivation. Indeed, changes in fatty acid composition with growth phase seem to be dependent on the culture temperature, with the most marked effects being observed at 24 °C. PUFA levels (i.e., levels of 20:5 n-3 and 22:6 n-3) increased during the stationary growth phase, while the proportion of SFAs and monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) fell with time. As this species is currently grown in outdoor ponds with seasonal temperature variations (minimal and maximal average temperatures in winter and summer, from 3 to 9 °C and from 13 to 26 °C, respectively), this factor can be expected to have a strong influence on the fatty acid content and composition of the algal biomass harvested and commercialized.  相似文献

Distribution of soft and rigid substructures within a protein molecule has been implicated in several occasions and most recently from the imaging and indentation experiments using an atomic force microscope. In this paper, previously reported result of mechanical extension experiments on the recombinant bovine carbonic anhydrase II, Q253C, is re-analyzed to estimate the distribution of Young's modulus, Y, in this protein. The force vs. extension curve of the enzymatically active, type I conformer gave an estimate of Y increasing from 40 to 220 MPa as the polypeptide chain was extended from 10 to 75 nm indicating the presence of a rigid core structure. The enzymatically inactive type II, in contrast, gave an almost constant modulus of 55+/-15 MPa in the same extension range in agreement with the previous proposal that it lacked a core structure.  相似文献

Tmax, the maximum temperature for growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, decreased linearly with increasing concentrations of cycloheximide added to the medium, to about 20 degrees C at 2.5 microgram ml-1. In this concentration range thermal death was not enhanced. The Arrhenius plot of growth was shifted to lower temperatures as a function of the cycloheximide concentration and became dissociated from the Arrhenius plot of thermal death. It was concluded that the target site of cycloheximide, the cytoplasmic ribosome, is not identical with the physiological Tmax site of S. cerevisiae and that the binding of cycloheximide to its target sites is strongly enhanced by the temperature.  相似文献

Results are presented from numerical calculations of the near fields of ICRH antennas in the quasisteady current approximation in two-dimensional geometry. The distributions of the vacuum electric and magnetic fields as well as of the surface current density in the antenna elements and inside the tokamak chamber are obtained. The electrotechnical characteristics of the antennas are analyzed numerically as functions of their geometric parameters.  相似文献

The possibility of feedback suppression of the external kink modes in a tokamak with a resistive wall is studied theoretically, assuming that the stabilizing conductors are located at a certain distance from the wall and without making any assumptions regarding the locations of the magnetic sensors that close the feedback circuit and the parameters (i.e., the particular components of the perturbed magnetic field or magnetic fluxes) measured by the sensors. It is shown that the efficiency of the stabilizing system can generally be analyzed within a two-parameter model. The parameters of the problem are the jump in the logarithmic derivative of the radial magnetic field in the region where the stabilizing conductors are positioned and the ratio of the minor radius of the torus on which the conductors are wound to the radius of the wall. However, specific calculations should be carried out with at least a three-parameter model: the final results should depend on the currents in the conductors and the locations of the conductors and magnetic sensors. The relation between the magnetic parameter in the criterion for the suppression of the resistive wall modes and the currents in the stabilizing conductors is clarified, and the current magnitudes required for the suppression are estimated.  相似文献

The problem of feedback stabilization of the resistive wall modes (RWMs) in a tokamak is discussed. An equilibrium configuration with the parameters accepted for the stationary ITER scenario 4A is considered as the main scenario. The effect of the vacuum chamber's shape on the plasma stability is studied. Ideal MHD stability is analyzed numerically by using the KINX code. It is shown that, in a tokamak with the parameters of the designed T-15M tokamak, RWMs can be stabilized by a conventional stabilizing system made of framelike coils. However, the maximum possible gain in β in such a tokamak is found to be smaller than that in ITER. It is shown that, in this case, a reduction in the plasma—wall gap width by 10 cm allows one to substantially increase the β limit, provided that RWMs are stabilized by active feedback.  相似文献

The phenomenon of the internal transport barrier in a tokamak plasma is interpreted as a bifurcation of the plasma equilibrium. An expression describing the change in the plasma pressure due to the buildup of the barrier is derived as a functional dependent on the parameters of the original plasma equilibrium and the plasma rotation velocity within the barrier. This expression is applied to a circular cross section tokamak, specifically, the T-10 device.  相似文献

Using a straight-column model to describe tokamak plasma with a noncircular cross section, it is shown how to (i) find the boundary of tearing instability from the condition of existence of a magnetohydrodynamic plasma equilibrium different from that of a straight cylinder by solving a two-dimensional linear boundary-value problem with a second-order equation with respect to the flux coordinate and (ii) find the spatial structure of the tearing mode and the corresponding effective Δ' when there is only one resonance magnetic surface in the plasma for a given axial wavenumber by solving some kind of a boundary-value problem for the perturbation. The proposed approach is illustrated by numerical calculations for the case of an elliptical cross section as an example.  相似文献
