The interrelationships between two submerged macrophytes, Najas marina and Myriophyllum spicatum, were investigated. Double-reciprocal analysis was used to distinguish between the possible types of negative relationships. Results have demonstrated that interspecific inhibition was more severe than the intraspecific one. The intensity of inhibition was negatively correlated with the density of the examined species. The mutual inhibitory effect and the pattern of the obtained results suggest that competitive relationships exist between Najas marina and Myriophyllum spicatum. 相似文献

本文比较研究了不同节位和不同长度狐尾藻断枝的不定根和芽的发生时间及其形成幼苗的频率(本文中的幼苗指最终形成了不定根和芽的断枝)。结果表明:在狐尾藻顶芽以下叶已完全展开的茎段部分,不定根和芽的发生时间呈现出随着节位下降而逐渐缩短的趋势,而幼苗形成频率呈现出随着节位下降而增高的趋势;断枝的长度(用断枝所含的茎节数表示)对不定根和芽的发生时间及幼苗形成频率也有明显的影响。断枝长度增加,不定根和芽的发生时间缩短,形成幼苗的频率升高。另外与抛掷方式相比,扦插延长多节断枝的不定根和芽形成时间,但提高幼苗的形成频率。这些研究结果为制定水体生态系统中狐尾藻的恢复和管理措施提供了参考。 相似文献

The effects of geographic and environmental variables on the pattern of genetic differentiation have been thoroughly studied, whereas empirical studies on aquatic plants are rare. We examined the spatial genetic differentiation of 58 Myriophyllum spicatum populations distributed throughout China with 12 microsatellite loci, and we analyzed its association with geographic distance, geographic barriers, and environmental dissimilarity using causal modeling and multiple matrix regression with randomization (MMRR) analysis. Two genetic clusters were identified, and their geographic distribution suggested mountain ranges as a barrier to gene flow. The causal modeling revealed that both climate and geographic barriers significantly influenced genetic divergence among M. spicatum populations and that climate had the highest regression coefficient according to the MMRR analysis. This study showed that geography and environment together played roles in shaping the genetic structure of M. spicatum and that the influence of environment was greater. Our findings emphasized the potential importance of the environment in producing population genetic differentiation in aquatic plants at a large geographic scale. 相似文献

通过人工补光和遮光处理,初步研究了光周期对狐尾藻生长和开花的影响。研究发现:8h短日照条件不利于狐尾藻的生长和花序形成,导致狐尾藻不能正常开花和结实;与自然日照长度(平均日照14h)条件下相比,16h长光照条件可以增加植株的高度和分枝数,形成更大的生物量;但24h全光照条件对生长有抑制作用。长光照条件下,狐尾藻花序形成时间和开花时间均比自然条件下延迟,形成花序的数目也显著较自然条件下的少,但长光照条件下形成的种子比自然条件下形成的种子具有更高的萌发率。 相似文献

Measurement of the photorespiratory activity of the submerged aquatic plant Myriophyllum spicatum L.
Abstract The CO2 compensation concentrations (points) of leaves of the submerged vascular aquatic plant Myriophyllum spicatum L. were determined in a closed aqueous system at pH 7.0 by a gas chromatographic technique and over the range 10–30deg;C were found to range from 36 to 46 cm3m?3 in medium equilibrated with 21% O2 (0.03 kgm?3), and 25 to 35 cm3m?3 in medium equilibrated with 2% O2 (0.03 kgm?3). The rates of true (TPS) and apparent (APS) photosynthesis of leaves were measured in medium equilibrated with 21% O2 and buffered at pH 7.0, at subsaturating concentrations (12.8–18.8 mmol m?3) of dissolved inorganic carbor. (DIC) containing H14CO3, by determining the initial rates of uptake by the leaves of DIC and 14C-activity from the medium. The rate of photorespiration, the difference between TPS and APS, was 7.0–13.3% of TPS over the range of 10–25°C and rose to 29% of TPS at 35°C. The magnitude of the compensation point of this plant is therefore similar to, but is much less O2-sensitive than, those of C3 plants, and the photorespiratory rate, at DIC concentrations near the CO2 compensation point, is very low compared to that of C3 plants. 相似文献

Myriophyllum spicatum, an exotic submersed macrophyte causing serious lake management problems throughout much of North America,
decreased markedly in biomass in Cayuga Lake, NY, USA, since the beginning of the 1990s. Over the same period, however, the
total biomass of all species of submersed macrophytes did not decline, and native macrophytes gained in abundance. The aquatic
moth larva, Acentria ephemerella, was first observed on milfoil plants in Cayuga Lake in 1991. However, due to its cryptic
habit the larva may have been present prior to that year. When the density of these grazers is high, herbivory by Acentria
causes severe damage to the apical meristem of M. spicatum. This moth larva and another milfoil herbivore, Euhrychiopsis lecontei
are widespread in 26 lakes surveyed in New York State; they are present in 25 and 24 lakes, respectively. Estimates of Acentria
larval densities in summer in Cayuga Lake are 27 to 100 m-2, and a quantitative survey of larvae hibernating in milfoil stems revealed mean densities of 500 m-2 in late fall in Seneca Lake. In laboratory experiments, Acentria larvae feed on a wide variety of macrophytes commonly found
in New York State. Although Acentria is not a specialist feeder, its life cycle is closely tied to M. spicatum through the
moth's use of apical tips and stems for summer and winter refuges; thus deleterious damage to other macrophytes is low.

Myriophyllum, among the most species‐rich genera of aquatic angiosperms with ca. 68 species, is an extensively distributed hydrophyte lineage in the cosmopolitan family Haloragaceae. The chloroplast (cp) genome is useful in the study of genetic evolution, phylogenetic analysis, and molecular dating of controversial taxa. Here, we sequenced and assembled the whole chloroplast genome of Myriophyllum spicatum L. and compared it to other species in the order Saxifragales. The complete chloroplast genome sequence of M. spicatum is 158,858 bp long and displays a quadripartite structure with two inverted repeats (IR) separating the large single copy (LSC) region from the small single copy (SSC) region. Based on sequence identification and the phylogenetic analysis, a 4‐kb phylogenetically informative inversion between trnE‐trnC in Myriophyllum was determined, and we have placed this inversion on a lineage specific to Myriophyllum and its close relatives. The divergence time estimation suggested that the trnE‐trnC inversion possibly occurred between the upper Cretaceous (72.54 MYA) and middle Eocene (47.28 MYA) before the divergence of Myriophyllum from its most recent common ancestor. The unique 4‐kb inversion might be caused by an occurrence of nonrandom recombination associated with climate changes around the K‐Pg boundary, making it interesting for future evolutionary investigations. 相似文献

水生植物之间的竞争作用在水体生态系统恢复过程中具有重要作用。本研究采用取代系列实验方法,对穗状狐尾藻(Myriophyllum spicatum L.)与不同生长期(幼苗期和成株期)苦草(Vallisneria natans(Lour.)Hara)的种间竞争进行了研究。结果显示,对于不同生长期的苦草,穗状狐尾藻均具有较强的竞争优势,成株期苦草的竞争能力强于其幼苗期;苦草成株组中的穗状狐尾藻平均株高比苦草幼苗组中的穗状狐尾藻平均株高增加了128.6%(P0.05),但苦草成株组中的穗状狐尾藻植株平均干重比苦草幼苗组中的穗状狐尾藻植株平均干重降低了62.8%(P0.05);苦草幼苗组中的穗状狐尾藻分枝较多、株丛大,对苦草幼苗形成了较大的遮光作用;苦草成株组中的穗状狐尾藻分枝少、植株较长,顶端漂浮于水面生长,表明受苦草的种间竞争压力增大,但仍小于穗状狐尾藻的种内竞争;另外,苦草幼苗组中的苦草根长比苦草成株组中的苦草根长平均长28.6%(P0.05),表明在与穗状狐尾藻竞争过程中,苦草幼苗更趋于竞争地下资源。本研究结果说明穗状狐尾藻竞争能力强于苦草,苦草幼苗受穗状狐尾藻的竞争影响较大。 相似文献

To determine the preferred elements of the benthic plant Myriophyllum verticillatum, changes in the element concentrations in the plant were investigated in laboratory condition. The reactor was fed with synthetically contaminated water consisting of 2 × 10?6 M of the heavy metals Fe, Cr, Zn, Ni, and Cu for 1060 hours. The elements that were preferentially taken up by the tested plant body were evaluated with respect to translocation factor, bio-concentration factor, and the amounts of partial elements and relative uptakes. Both the changing physical properties of the aqueous solution in the reactor during the experiment and the growth of the plant were tested using a two-sample t-test. The Zn and Cu levels in the combination of the leaves and stems were found to be significantly higher than the levels in the roots at the end of the trial. Based on the partial amount of each element, the affinity of the plant for different elements was found to follow the order of Ca > Fe > Mn. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) analyses of the plant bodies indicated that these elements were located both inside the organs and on the surface of the tissues alone or with microorganisms such as diatoms. 相似文献

通过对栽培于3个不同程度的富营养化水体(富营养化程度为水体1<水体2<水体3)中的穗花狐尾藻(MyriophyllumspicatumL.)进行研究,测定了不同时期植物体各个器官的氮磷含量及生物量分配,探讨了富营养化水对其营养积累及分配格局的影响。结果表明,重度富营养化的水体3中穗花狐尾藻组织中的氮含量显著高于其它两个水体;而由于水体1和水体2的氨态氮含量无显著差异,植物组织中的氮含量在水体1和水体2间无显著差异。富营养化程度高的水体2中植物磷的含量显著低于富营养化程度低的水体1中的植物,但在重度富营养化的水体3中,叶子的磷含量却远高于其它两个水体,这是由植物不同部位吸收的磷在各器官间分配不同所造成的。由于底泥的营养含量丰富,在3个不同程度的富营养化水体中,穗花狐尾藻的根冠比并未表现出明显差异。 相似文献

Exotic species can invade and establish new habitats both as a result of their own traits, and as a result of the characteristics
of the environment they invade. Here, we show that the abundance of the invasive submerged aquatic plant, Myriophyllum spicatum (Eurasian watermilfoil) is highly dependent on the conditions of the environment in a mesocosm experiment. M. spicatum is allelopathic towards epiphytic algae, and in the absence of algivorous snails, we found that the abundance of both algae
and M. spicatum significantly increased with experimentally increased nutrient loading, while the abundance of native submerged macrophytes
declined. However, when snails were present, snail biomass increased with increasing nutrient loading, and M. spicatum biomass was consistently low while native submerged macrophyte biomass was consistently high. Our results stress the importance
of the interaction between species traits and environmental conditions when considering the invasiveness of certain exotic

The response of Ceratophyllum demersum and Myriophyllum spicatum to three levels of UV-B radiation – reduced (ca. 50% reduction), ambient and enhanced UV-B radiation, simulating 17% ozone depletion – is discussed. The research revealed
that UV-B stimulated the production of UV-B absorbing compounds in C. demersum, but not in M. spicatum. The relative amount of UV-B absorbing compounds was about four times lower in C. demersum. Enhanced UV-B also affected respiratory potential in C. demersum (on average 3.7 mg O2/gDM/h), but no effect on M. spicatum (on average 5.5 mg O2/gDM/h) was detected. Increased need for energy revealed that UV-B radiation exerted stress in C. demersum. No changes in chlorophyll a and no disturbance to photochemical efficiency due to UV-B were observed in either species. 相似文献

These experimental studies have shown that this plant will grow successfully at pressures encountered in water at depths as great as 17 m. When there were suitable levels of light, temperature, nutrients and aeration, the plants grown under constant hydrostatic pressure for three weeks showed variations in the measured amounts of new growth but no measure could be associated with the constant increased hydrostatic pressure. Myriophyllum verticillatum L. is the single most obstructive aquatic plant in Irish canals. Because of the importance of these canals as national amenities,
considerable resource has been directed towards the long-term control of this aggressive plant. A combination of mechanical
harvesting and chemical treatment has traditionally been employed to control Myriophyllum growth but these methods have only provided short-term control. Myriophyllum verticillatum reproduces by producing turions between September and November each year. These over-wintering propagules sink to the canal
bed where they remain dormant until February. At a trial site on the Royal Canal turions were harvested in November 1994 and
1995, significantly reducing the number of propagules present. Biomass and plant cover with M. verticillatum throughout the 1995 and subsequent growing seasons was dramatically reduced. The implications for weed control programmes,

Myriophyllum ussuriense has been described as dioecious but monoecious plants were newly found from some populations in south-western Japan. Sex
expression of monoecious plants proved labile and they sometimes bore male or female flowers alone. On the other hand, sex
expression of dioecious plants was stable and seemed to be fixed genetically. M. ussuriense may be still in the course of differentiation from monoecy to dioecy.

A contribution towards resolving the nomenclature of Citharexylum (Verbenaceae): typification of names linked to South American taxa 下载免费PDF全文
During ongoing taxonomic studies in the genus Citharexylum (Verbenaceae), twenty names were found in need of typification or typification clarifications. Fourteen names (C. andinum, C. herrerae, C. ilicifolium, C. kunthianum, C. laetum, C. myrianthum var. acuminatum, C. myrianthum var. rigidum, C. pernambucense, C. poeppigii, C. quercifolium, C. solanaceum, C. solanaceum var. macrocalyx, C. surrectum and C. weberbaueri) are here lectotypified, and epitypes are selected for three names (C. herrerae, C. kunthianum and C. pernambucense). Neotypes are designated for the names C. berteroi, C. broadwayi and C. coriaceum. Furthermore, updates and supporting information for three names already typified by Harold Moldenke (C. macrochlamys, C. punctatum and C. subthyrsoideum) are provided. 相似文献
