Erysimum damirliense, a new species of Brassicaceae from Zanjan and Ardebil provinces (northwest Iran) is described and illustrated. The new species resembles E. uncinatifolium and E. elbrusense, but is easily recognized by its life form, basal leaf margin, indumentum of cauline leaves, number of flowers in the main raceme, fruit width and style length. Phylogenetic analysis of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) DNA sequences confirm that the new species is distinct from morphologically similar species.  相似文献

Draba streptobrachia Price is an alpine species endemic to Colorado, U.S.A. It was treated byHitchcock (1941) asDraba spectabilis var.dasycarpa (Schulz) C. L. Hitchc., but is distinct fromD. spectabilis Greene in morphology, habitat, and chromosome number (g = ca 32 inD. streptobrachia, versusg = 10 and 16 inD. spectabilis) and therefore has been raised to the rank of species. Pollen fertility inD. streptobrachia is at or near zero and anthers consistently fail to dehisce, but fertile seeds are still produced, suggesting that the taxon reproduces by agamospermy.  相似文献

A new species of Arabis L., A. erikii Mutlu sp. nov. , is described and illustrated. The species is restricted to inner Anatolia, south-west of Sivas. It grows on steppes. Diagnostic morphological characters are given for discrimination from the most similar taxa.  © 2004 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2004, 145 , 251–256.  相似文献

Two new species ofSisymbrium are described from the Department of Arequipa in south-western Peru. Both are annuals from the loma vegetation.Sisymbrium lactucoides has glabrous leaves with clasping bases and is very distinct.Sisymbrium ferreyrae is probably closest toS. llatasii, but it is a much smaller plant with petals and sepals of subequal length (vs. petals longer than sepals inS. llatasii).  相似文献

Physaria pulvinata is described from isolated, grayish, argillaceous shale outcrops in Dolores and San Miguel Counties of southwestern Colorado. It may be distinguished from the relatedP. intermedia by its caespitose, mound-forming habit, and fromP. navajoensis in that its fruits are pubescent. The new species keys toP. rectipes in available floras and monographs, and differs from that species in being mound-forming from a manybranched caudex.  相似文献

Based on DNA-fingerprinting, ITS-DNA sequencing and physiological characteristics, a new species of Schizonella, Sch. caricis-atratae, is described. Sch. caricis-atratae is a so-called cryptic species, i.e. morphologically it is identical to Sch. melanogramma, but differs in physiological and molecular phylogenetic characters. Sch. caricis-atratae can be distinguished by the following tests: growth on myo-inositol, D,L-lactate, salicine, maltose, αmethyl-D-glucoside, butane-2,3-diol, and D-turanose, at 30°C; no growth on galactose. Sch. caricis-atratae can be isolated from Carex atrata. The type strain is HB 3, CBS 123477.  相似文献

A new diploid species, Biscutella ebusitana is described from coastal cliffs of the western Balearic islands. It is related to B. sempervirens L. and B. montana Cav. from which it can be distinguished by a combination of vegetative (shape, size, petiole and hairs of leaves, petiolatc leaves) and reproductive features (shape of inflorescence, calyx indument). Earlier Balearic records of B. frutescens Coss. should be referred to B. ebusitana.  相似文献

A new species,Boechera glareosa, is described and a key is provided to separate it from its apparent closest relative,B. gunnisoniana (Rollins) W. A. Weber. Twelve transfers are made fromArabis toBoechera to bring the nomenclature of Rocky Mountain region taxa in line with current DNA data.  相似文献

Aethionema rhodopaeum D. Pavlova is described as a new species from the eastern Rhodope Mountains. The plant was found growing only on serpentines, in two localities, at an altitude of approximately 400 m. The localities are typical open habitats with sparsely colonized debris. The plant communities, composed mainly of xerophytes with a mosaic distribution, contain a large number of rare and endemic species for the Bulgarian flora. The new species belongs to the Aethionema saxatile group and is quite close to the species A. saxatile (L.) R. Br., in particular to ssp. creticum and ssp. graecum . The following diagnostic features are given for the new species: inner filament length always greater than half the petal length, lack of teeth of the filaments, longer [2–3(3.5) mm] style than that of A. saxatile subspecies, and dark purple petals. All leaves are broadly elliptical to suborbicular, obtuse, and fleshy. The chromosome number of the new species is 2 n  = 24. The differences between the new species and related taxa are also discussed.  © 2007 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2007, 155 , 533–540.  相似文献

Noccaea camlikensis sp. nov. (Brassicaceae) is described and illustrated from a localized serpentine range in southern Turkey. Its close relationship to N. cariensis , from which it differs in leaf and carpological characters, is discussed. The protologue of this fairly unknown species can now be amended to cover better the morphological variability of this taxon. A comparative study of seed-coat anatomy advocates its move from Thlaspi to Noccaea ; the relevant combination N. cariensis (Carlström) Parolly, Nordt & Aytaç is made. The ecology of both vicarious species is discussed and their distribution mapped.  © 2006 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2006, 150 , 409–416.  相似文献

Among the suffruticose cabbages of Brassica sect. Brassica, a new species from Sicily, named B. raimondoi, is described and illustrated. It is a chasmophyte restricted to some steep limestone cliffs near Taormina (NE Sicily) and is morphologically related to B. incana, with which it shares densely hairy, broad, amplexicaul leaves and winged petioles, but differs principally in its white corolla, larger floral pieces, more developed stigmatic papillae, shorter siliquae with keeled valves and a smaller, seedless beak, smaller seeds differing in testa microsculpture. A key for the identification of the currently known Sicilian taxa of the section is provided.  相似文献

Dryopteris katangaensis , a new species endemic to the Katango–Zambian centre of endemism (Congo-Zambezi watershed) in Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo is described and illustrated. The morphological differences between the new species and D. schimperiana are discussed, and the ferns endemic to the Katango–Zambian Centre are reviewed.  © 2003 The Linnean Society of London, Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society , 2003, 142 , 237–242.  相似文献
