The interactions between a new proline-threonine dipeptide ligand with two metallic cations were investigated in aqueous solution. The metallic cations studied were the copper(II) and the nickel(II), which are involved in many biological processes. The combination of potentiometry, UV-visible spectrophotometry, EPR, and mass spectrometry was used to determine the formation constants of the complexes and their structure in solution. The complexation sites were identified using electronic absorption and EPR spectroscopies. Copper complexes were obtained as square planar or square pyramidal mononuclear species, whereas nickel complexes were obtained as dinuclear species with an octahedral geometry.  相似文献

A series of copper(II) complexes having the formula [Cu(n-R-pyp)X] with the N,N,O-donor Schiff base system 2-N-(picolinylidene)-n-R-phenol (n-R-Hpyp) (where n = 3, 4, 5 and 6, when R = Me and n = 4 when R = Cl) and halide (X = Cl or Br) as an ancillary ligand have been synthesized. The complexes are characterized by microanalytical, magnetic and various spectroscopic measurements. They display solvatochromic behavior. Single crystal X-ray structures of all the complexes are determined. In coordinatively unsaturated species such as a square-planar complex, the metal ion can interact with a fifth atom and if this atom is metal bound, dimeric or polymeric aggregate is formed. In the present series of complexes, the metal ions are square-planar and distorted square-pyramidal when there is an intermolecular Cu···X interaction. In addition to this Cu···X interaction, presence of intermolecular weak non-covalent interactions namely O-H···O, C-H···O, C-H···X and π···π are perceived. The supramolecular architectures formed by the molecules of these complexes via these interactions are scrutinized. The observed supramolecular structural motifs can be classified as staircase, ladder, brick-wall and square-grid. Except for R = Cl the analogous chloride and bromide coordinated complexes show similar structural features.  相似文献

The interactions of three bis(amide) ligands derived from tartaric acid with copper (II) were investigated in aqueous solution by a combination of potentiometry, UV-vis spectrophotometry, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), and mass spectrometry. The formation constants of the complexes were measured and their relative structures were reported. The sites of complexation of these ligands are investigated based mostly on their electronic and EPR spectra and on the comparison with the behaviour of some analog compounds.  相似文献

Reaction of [Pd(1-3-η-allyl)Cl]2 with lithium triazenide (triazenide = p-XC6H4NN-NC6H4X-p; X = Cl, H, CH3) affords dimeric complexes of the type [Pd(1-3-η-allyl)(triazenide)]2. In the solid state the triazenido ligands are bridging two palladium atoms with their terminal nitrogen atoms, as shown by a preliminary X-ray determination of the complex with X = CH3. The allyl groups are stereochemically equivalent. 1H NMR spectra demonstrate the presence of two conformers in solution. The major component has the same configuration found in the solid. The other conformer has stereochemically non equivalent allyl groups. The concentration ratio of the two conformers is independent of the temperature, suggesting the absence of intramolecular processes and of palladium- triazenido bond breaking. This point is discussed also by comparing the (1-3-η-allyl)(triazenide)palladium (II) dimers with the closely related(1-3-η-allyl)(acetate)palladium(II) complexes.  相似文献

New ruthenium(II) complexes with cyanamide ligands, cis-[Ru(bpy)2(Ipcyd)2] (1) and [Ru(bpy)2(OHpcyd)2] (2) (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine, Ipcyd = 4-iodophenylcyanamide anion, OHpcyd = 4-(3-hydroxy-3-methylbut-1-ynil)phenylcyanamide), have been prepared and characterized by UV-Vis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopies as well as electrochemical technique (CV). The complex cis-[Ru(bpy)2(Ipcyd)2] (1) crystallized with empirical formula of C34H24I2N8Ru in a monoclinic crystal system and space group of P21/c with a = 11.769(7) Å, b = 24.188(12) Å, c = 11.623(2) Å, β = 91.63(3)°, V = 3308(3) Å3 and Z = 4.  相似文献

Some amino acid derivatives, such as R-glycine, have been synthesized together with their full spectroscopic characterization. The sodium salts of these bidentate amino acid ligands have been interacted with [M(bpy)(H2O)2](NO3)2 giving the corresponding some new complexes with formula [M(bpy)(R-gly)]NO3 (where M is Pt(II) or Pd(II), bpy is 2,2′-bipyridine and R-gly is butyl-, hexyl- and octyl-glycine). Due to less solubility of octyl derivatives, the biological activities of butyl and hexyl derivatives have been tested against chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line, K562. The interaction of these complexes with highly polymerized calf thymus DNA has been extensively studied by means of electronic absorption, fluorescence and other measurements. The experimental results suggest that these complexes positive cooperatively bind to DNA presumably via groove binding. Molecular dynamic results show that the DNA structure is largely maintained its native structure in hexylglycine derivative–water mixtures and at lower temperatures. The simulation data indicates that the more destabilizing effect of butylglycine is induced by preferential accumulation of these molecules around the DNA and due to their more negative free energy of binding via groove binding.  相似文献

Characteristic resonance Raman spectra are observed on ionization of the phenolic groups in adriamycin. On the basis of these results, vibrational assignments for the Raman bands of adriamycin are reported. Distinct Raman spectra are observed for Cu(II)-adriamycin complexes at pH approximately 5 and pH approximately 13. The data indicate that at lower pH a bis complex of Cu(II) is formed, which transforms to a polymeric Cu(II) chelate at higher pH. Upon interaction of the metal-drug complex with calf thymus DNA at pH approximately 5, a ternary complex is formed in which the Cu(II)-complexed adriamycin is intercalated into DNA.  相似文献

Synthesis, structure and spectroscopic characterization of 2-thiophenealdehyde-N(4)-napthylthiosemicarbazone and its complexes with biologically important Zn(II) and toxic Hg(II) metal ions have been reported. The crystal structure of the complexes reveals that both are distorted tetrahedral. In the Hg(II) complex the ligand is neutral and mondented where as in Zn(II) complex the ligand is bidented and anionic. Whereas conductivity measurement study shows both the complexes are molecular species. The beautiful changes in absorption spectra along with isosbestic points upon addition of respective metal salts to the ligand solution convincingly support the formation of metal complexes in solution phase. The other spectroscopic studies also show good correlation with their solid state structures.  相似文献

New, heteroleptic zinc and cobalt complexes with tri-tert-butoxysilanethiolate and imidazole co-ligands are characterized by crystal structure studies. The ligands exhibit different coordination modes to Co(II) ions: NOS2 (with methanol as O-donor ligand) in 2, NO2S2 in 2′′, N2S2 in 1, and to Zn(II) ions: N2S2 in 3 and N3S in 4. Complex 2′ is a structural analog of cobalt-substituted active site of alcohol dehydrogenase. All four-coordinate Co(II) and Zn(II) complexes have tetrahedral geometry. Solution and solid state electronic spectra of cobalt(II) complexes are discussed and compared to literature data available for the cobalt-substituted liver alcohol dehydrogenase and sorbitol dehydrogenase. The EPR spectra of all cobalt complexes exhibit at 77 K a characteristic broad signal with g ∼3.6 and 5.6, strongly indicating a high-spin state, S = 3/2, of Co(II) complexes.  相似文献

The interactions of three amphiphilic glycoligands derived from d-galacturonic acid (L1, L2 and L3) with copper (II) ions were investigated in aqueous solution and/or in aqueous-methanol media. The combination of potentiometry, UV-Vis spectrophotometry and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) was used to determine the formation constants of the complexes and their relative structures in solution. The complexation sites were identified using electronic absorption and EPR spectroscopies. Copper complexes were obtained as square planar or square pyramidal mononuclear or dinuclear species. Solid compounds were synthesized and tested as catalysts in the autooxidation of catechols in methanol and in aqueous micellar media. Mononuclear species were found to be catalytically active in both media, whereas dinuclear ones do not show any significant catecholase activity.  相似文献

Lyophilized samples of Pseudomonas sp. PG2982 grown on 13C- and 15N-labeled glyphosate have been analyzed by single and double cross-polarization 13C NMR. Both the carbon and nitrogen metabolism of glyphosate are significantly influenced by the nitrogen source used for the growth of the organism. When ammonium sulfate is the source of nitrogen, the glycyl moiety of glyphosate is utilized intact for the biosynthesis of purines and proteins. But when the organism is grown on glycine as the source of nitrogen, the carbons and nitrogen of glyphosate are scrambled, consistent with incorporation into serine and pyruvate, and hence participation in general metabolism. When both ammonium and glycine are present in the growth medium, regulation of the metabolic fluxes along each of the two major pathways appears to be determined by the intracellular glycine concentration.  相似文献

Combined pH-metric, UV-Vis, 1H NMR and EPR spectral investigations on the complex formation of M(II) ions (M=Co, Ni, Cu and Zn) with N-(2-benzimidazolyl)methyliminodiacetic acid (H2bzimida, hereafter H2L) in aqueous solution at a fixed ionic strength, I=10−1 mol dm−3, at 25 ± 1 °C indicate the formation of M(L), M(H−1L) and M2(H−1L)+ complexes. Proton-ligand and metal-ligand constants and the complex formation equilibria have been elucidated. Solid complexes, [M(L)(H2O)2] · nH2O (n=1 for M = Co and Zn, n=2 for M = Ni) and {Cu (μ-L) · 4H2O}n, have been isolated and characterized by elemental analysis, spectral, conductance and magnetic measurements and thermal studies. Structures of [Ni(L)(H2O)2] · 2H2O and {Cu(μ-L) · 4H2O}n have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The nickel(II) complex exists in a distorted octahedral environment in which the metal ion is coordinated by the two carboxylate O atoms, the amino-N atom of the iminodiacetate moiety and the pyridine type N-atom of the benzimidazole moiety. Two aqua O atoms function as fifth and sixth donor atoms. The copper(II) complex is made up of interpenetrating polymeric chains of antiferromagnetically coupled Cu(II) ions linked by carboxylato bridges in syn-anti (apical-equatorial) bonding mode and stabilized via interchain hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions.  相似文献

Potentiometric and Spectroscopic studies of Ni(II) complexes with L-cysteine-containing ligands showed that the sulfhydryl group is a very effective donor in binding this metal ion. Very stable planar complexes are usually formed with a high tendency to polymerize. The complexes studied may also be used as Spectroscopic models of a metalloprotein site containing a Ni(II)-thiol bond.  相似文献

We have carried out the synthesis of the cadmium coordination compounds [Cd(NO3)2(PyTT)(H2O)] (1) and [CdCl2{(μ-Cl)2CdCl(μ-Cl)(μ-PyTT)Cd}2]n (2), together with their structural determination by means of X-ray diffraction. The compounds were also characterized through elemental analysis and infrared spectroscopy. The first complex presents a distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometry with the axial positions occupied by one oxygen atom from a water molecule and a second one from a nitrate ion which acts as a monodentate ligand, whereas the equatorial plane contains three nitrogen atoms from the organic moiety and two oxygen atoms coming from the other nitrate group, which is bidentate. The structure of the second complex consists of parallel sheets linked by van der Waals forces, each one made up of structural units [CdCl2{(μ-Cl)2CdCl(μ-Cl)(μ-PyTT)Cd}2], which possesses two PyTT ligands, 10 bridging chloro ligands and 5 cadmium(II) centres belonging to three environment types: octahedral CdN2Cl4, octahedral CdCl6, on which a centre of symmetry is located, and tetrahedral CdNCl3, present in a 2:1:2 ratio.  相似文献

The reactions of cis-[PtCl2L2] [L = PPh3, PMe2Ph or L2 = Ph2P(CH2)2PPh2 (dppe)] with endo-8-camphanylphosphonic acid (CamPO3H2) and Ag2O in refluxing dichloromethane gave platinum(II) phosphonate complexes [Pt(O3PCam)L2]. The X-ray crystal structure of [Pt(O3PCam)(PPh3)2]·2CHCl3 shows that the bulky camphanyl group, rather than being directed away from the platinum, is instead directed into a pocket formed by the Pt and the two PPh3 ligands. This allows the O3P-CH2 group to have a preferred staggered conformation. The complexes were studied in detail by NMR spectroscopy, which demonstrates non-fluxional behaviour for the sterically bulky PPh3 and dppe derivatives, which contain inequivalent phosphine ligands in their 31P NMR spectra. These findings are backed up by theoretical calculations on the PPh3 and PPhMe2 derivatives, which show, respectively, high and low energy barriers to rotation of the camphanyl group in the PPh3 and PPhMe2 complexes. The X-ray crystal structure of CamPO3H2 is also reported, and consists of hydrogen-bonded hexameric aggregates, which assemble to form a columnar structure containing hydrophilic phosphonic acid channels surrounded by a sheath of bulky, hydrophobic camphanyl groups.  相似文献

The reactions of [Ru(PPh3)3Cl2], N-(benzoyl)-N′-(5-R-salicylidene)hydrazines (H2bhsR, R = H, OCH3, Cl, Br and NO2) and triethylamine (1:1:2 mole ratio) in methanol afford mononuclear ruthenium(III) complexes having the general formula trans-[Ru(bhsR)(PPh3)2Cl]. In the case of R = H, a dinuclear ruthenium(III) complex of formula [Ru2(μ-OCH3)2(bhsH)2(PPh3)2] has been isolated as a minor product. The complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic, spectroscopic and electrochemical measurements. The crystal structures of the dinuclear complex and two mononuclear complexes have been determined. In the dinuclear complex, each metal centre is in distorted octahedral NO4P coordination sphere constituted by the two bridging methoxide groups, one PPh3 molecule and the meridionally spanning phenolate-O, imine-N and amide-O donor bhsH2−. The terminal PPh3 ligands are trans to each other. In the mononuclear complexes, bhsR2− and the chlorine atom form an NO2Cl square-plane around the metal centre and the P-atoms of the two PPh3 molecules occupy the remaining two axial sites to complete a distorted octahedral NO2ClP2 coordination sphere. All the complexes display ligand-to-metal charge transfer bands in the visible region of the electronic spectra. The cryomagnetic measurements reveal the antiferromagnetic character of the diruthenium(III) complex. The low-spin mononuclear ruthenium(III) complexes as well as the diruthenium(III) complex display rhombic EPR spectra in frozen solutions. All the complexes are redox active in CH2Cl2 solutions. Two successive metal centred oxidations at 0.69 and 1.20 V (versus Ag/AgCl) are observed for the dinuclear complex. The mononuclear complexes display a metal centred reduction in the potential range −0.53 to −0.27 V. The trend in these potential values reflects the polar effect of the substituents on the salicylidene moiety of the tridentate ligand.  相似文献

Cadmium(II) complex with quinaldic acid (quinH), [Cd(quin)2(H2O)2] (1), was prepared by the reaction of cadmium(II) acetate and quinaldic acid in water-ethanol mixture, while another cadmium(II) complex, [Cd(quin)2(DMSO)2] (2), was prepared by the recrystallization of 1 in DMSO. Both complexes were characterized by IR spectroscopy and TGA/DTA methods. The crystal structure of 2 was determined by X-ray structure diffraction analysis. Cadmium(II) ion is octahedrally coordinated by two N,O-bidentate quinaldate ligands in equatorial and by two DMSO molecules in axial positions. Only weak intermolecular C-H···O hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions as packing forces are present in the crystal structure of 2. The theoretical investigations included geometry optimizations of both complexes at DFT level (B3LYP and mPW1PW91 functionals) and calculations of vibrational frequencies. Calculated and experimental IR spectra were compared and characteristic bands assigned. The electronic properties of the complexes were investigated by the NBO analysis. Thermogravimetric studies showed the initial loss of two coordinated water molecules in 1 and of DMSO in 2 and then complete decomposition of quinaldate ligands for both 1 and 2.  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes of di-, tri- and tetra-peptides built up from Asp and/or Glu residues were studied by potentiometric and various spectroscopic techniques including UV-visible, circular dichroism and electron paramagnetic resonance measurements. The ligands contain two to five carboxylate functions and it generally results in the enhanced metal binding ability of the ligands, which is especially true for the oligopeptides of aspartic acid. In the case of peptides containing aspartyl residue in the N-terminal position the stability enhancement is reflected in the equilibrium data of the species [CuL] containing the (NH(2),beta-COO(-))-coordination mode in a 6-membered chelate. In the case of AspAsp and AspAspAsp the (NH(2),N(-),beta-COO(-)) and (NH(2),N(-),N(-),beta-COO(-))-coordination modes will be favoured, which contain (5,6) and (5,5,6)-joined chelate ring systems, respectively. The outstanding stability of the latter binding mode and the high negative charge of the corresponding species suppresses the metal ion coordination of the third amide function of AspAspAspAsp. It is also important to note that the presence of side chain carboxylate functions results in the formation of carboxylato-bridged polynuclear complexes in medium pH range. The extent of oligomerisation can be significantly enhanced by the increase of concentration and by the decrease of temperature.  相似文献
