The ant-parasitic genus Rhipipalloidea Girault (Hymenoptera: Eucharitidae), with a description of a new species

The genus Rhipipalloidea Girault (1934 ), from the Australian region is revised. Rhipipalloidea gruberi Girault (1940 ) is synonymised with R. mira Girault 1934 . A new species, R. madangensis , is described from Papua New Guinea. This species is separated from R. mira from Australia by the distinct striation on the head, and ramose, 12-segmented antennae of the females. Males and a host for the genus are described for the first time.     

The genus Arhaconotus Belokobylskij (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Doryctinae) from China, with description of a new species

The genus Arhaconotus Belokobylskij (Hymenoptera: Braconidae, Doryctinae) is recorded for the first time from China. A new species of this genus, Arhaconotus hainanensis Tang & Chen, sp. n., is described and illustrated. A key to the species of this genus is updated to include the new species.     

Three new species and two new records of the genus Psen from China (Hymenoptera: Apoidea: Crabronidae)

Three new species of the genus Psen Latreille from China are described: Psen yunnanensis Ma et Li, sp. nov., from Yunnan Province; Psen lacuniventris Ma et Li, sp. nov., from Zhejiang and Sichuan Provinces; and Psen spinitibialis Ma et Li, sp. nov., from Zhejiang Province. Two species of the genus Psen are recorded from China for the first time. Modifications to the key to species of the genus Psen, as developed by van Lith in 1968, are presented.

Comparative aspects of the biology of five Auplopus species (Hymenoptera; Pompilidae; Pepsinae) from Brazil

This study was carried out at the Parque Municipal das Araucárias, in the municipality of Guarapuava, state of Paraná, southern Brazil, from December 2001 to December 2004. Sixty nests belonging to five Auplopus species were collected using trap-nests. The nest cells of all species were built with mud and shaped like a barrel or cylinder, mostly in linear arrangement. Differences between species lie in the colour of the mud and the way in which they organize the mud pellets during the construction of the cells. Few vestibular and intercalary cells were built. The number of cells varied according to the species, never surpassing six cells per nest. We observed a great variation between the five species related to sex ratio and the number of generations per year. Some species presented a delayed life cycle with juveniles entering diapause, others presented an additional short life cycle with no diapause.

中国绒茧蜂属Apanteles Foerster一新种(膜翅目:茧蜂科)

本文报道采自中国福建的茧蜂科Braconidae小腹茧蜂亚科Microgastrinae绒茧蜂属Apanteles Foerster一新种,即透翅绒茧蜂Apanteles pellucipterus Song et Chen,sp.nov.。模式标本存放于福建农林大学植保学院益虫室。     

中国印度茧蜂属Indiopius Fischer一新种(膜翅目:茧蜂科)

本文记述了茧蜂科Braconidae潜蝇茧蜂亚科Opiinae印度茧蜂属Indiopius的1个新种：Indiopius alutacius Weng et Chen sp.nov.。这是该属在中国分布的首次记录。建立了世界已知3种的分种检索表。本新种与矮茧蜂I.humillimus Fischer相似,但新种可以由下列特征予以区别：1.并胸腹节革质纹,后缘具短纵脊;2.第1腹节背板长为宽的1.2-1.3倍;3.腹板侧泡明显具齿。模式标本保存于福建农林大学益虫研究室。     

中国新记录属——树矛茧蜂属(Dendrosotinus)记述及一新种描述(膜翅目:茧蜂科:矛茧蜂亚科)

首次发现了树矛茧蜂属(DendrosotinusTelenga,1941)在中国的分布,并记述了该属1新种———武夷树矛茧蜂(D.wuyiensissp.nov.)。模式标本保存于福建农林大学植保学院益虫研究室。     

Taxonomic study of the genus Deltonotus Hancock (Orthoptera: Cladonotidae) with description of a new species

The genus Deltonotus Hancock, 1904 was reviewed, including one new species, D. wuzhishanensis sp. nov. A key to species of the genus Deltonotus Hancock, 1904 is given. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University.     

Revision of the Indo–Australian parasitic wasp genus Macrobracon with the description of two new species (Hymenoptera: Braconidae)

Illustrated keys to males and females of the 13 known species of the Indo-Australian braconine genus Macrobracon Szépligeti are provided. Principal components analysis has been conducted to aid in the recognition. All known species are redescribed. Two new species are described: M. flavus from Malaysia and Indonesia and M. unicolor from Taiwan.     

First record of the genus Brachygaster Leach (Hymenoptera: Evaniidae) from Australia with the description of a new species

Abstract  Brachygaster murrayorum sp. n., a new species of evaniid ensign wasp, is described from northern Queensland. This is the first record of Brachygaster Leach in Australia and represents a significant range extension from Singapore, its previous closest occurrence.     

Second species in the Australian ant genus Peronomyrmex Viehmeyer (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)

A second species of the rare Australian ant genus Peronomyrmex is described from Victoria. This new species, P. bartoni , represents only the third time the genus has been collected, the previous records being the holotype of P. overbecki Viehmeyer from north-eastern New South Wales and a collection, subsequently lost, from northern Queensland.

中国革腹茧蜂属Ascogaster一新种(膜翅目:茧蜂科:甲腹茧蜂亚科)

本记述了中国革腹茧蜂属Ascogaster一新种皱纹革腹茧蜂Ascogaster retis Ji et Chen,sp,nov.,新种主要特征是：体黑色;触角中部稍膨大,头顶具横向网状皱;背面观,上颊约与复眼等长,额与复眼缘之间具纵向网状皱;脸具粗糙网状皱;唇基具中度密集的刻点,端缘中央具一钝突,盾纵沟甚浅,中胸侧板具孔穴状刻点,无基节前沟,并胸腹节具明显的四齿,侧齿大,中齿小;甲壳末端具与体平行的短棘,产卵器鞘较短,不超出腹末,本新种与Ascogaster fullawayi(Baker)相似,但新种额两侧边缘中间与复眼缘之间无角状齿,脸下部的网状皱不形成弱纵脊,脸部毛短且稀疏,宙末端棘短而钝,该新种模式标本保存于福建农林大学益虫研究室。     

脊颜茎蜂属评述暨一新种(膜翅目:茎蜂科)

基于模式标本和新材料研究了茎蜂科脊颜茎蜂属,修订了该属属征和主要鉴别特征.该属唇基上区具锐利中脊,下唇须第4节短,明显宽于下颚须第4节,左上额粗短,中部显著弯折,雄虫多数鞭分节腹侧钝齿状突出,雌虫部分锯刃具多列亚基齿等特征,与茎蜂科其余各属均不相同.描述了脊颜茎蜂属1新种,采集自江西和湖南南部山区.编制了种检索表.
