首次研究了6种国产兰届植物的染色体形态和核型。果香兰(Cymbidium suavissimum)核型为2n=40=30m 10sm;碧玉兰(C.lowianum)为2n=40=26m 12sm 2st;文山红柱兰(C.wenshanense)为2n=40=28m 10sm 2st;虎头兰(C.hookerianum)为2n=40=30m 8sm 2st;独占春(C.eburneum)为2n=40=36m 4sm莎草兰(C.elegans)为2n=40=28m 8sm 4st。结合形态学特征和已有的核型资料,对兰属植物的核型进化进行了初步的讨论。  相似文献

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Many orchid flowers have glands called elaiophores and these reward pollinating insects with oil. In contrast to other reward-producing structures such as nectaries, the anatomy of the elaiophore and the process of oil secretion have not been extensively studied. In this paper, elaiophore structure is described for two members of Oncidiinae, Oncidium trulliferum Lindl. and Ornithophora radicans (Rchb.f.) Garay & Pabst. METHODS: Elaiophores of both species were examined using light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. KEY RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: In flowers of Oncidium trulliferum and Ornithophora radicans, oil is secreted by morphologically distinct elaiophores associated with the labellar callus. However, in O. trulliferum, elaiophores also occur on the lateral lobes of the labellum. In both these species, the epithelial elaiophores are composed of a single layer of palisade-like epidermal cells and a distinct subepithelial layer. Secretory elaiophore cells may contain numerous, starchless plastids, mitochondria and smooth endoplasmic reticulum profiles. In O. trulliferum, the cytoplasm contains myelin-like figures but these are absent from O. radicans. In the former species, cavities occur in the cell wall and these presumably facilitate the passage of oil onto the elaiophore surface. In O. radicans, the accumulation of oil between the outer tangential wall and the cuticle causes the latter to become distended. Since it is probable that the full discharge of oil from the elaiophores of O. radicans occurs only when the cuticle is ruptured by a visiting insect, this may contribute towards pollinator specificity. The structure of the elaiophore in these species resembles both that found in previously investigated species of Oncidiinae and that of certain members of the Malpighiaceae.  相似文献

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Pseudopollen is a whitish, mealy material produced upon the labella of a number of orchid species as labellar hairs either become detached or fragment. Since individual hair cells are rich in protein and starch, it has long been speculated that pseudopollen functions as a reward for visiting insects. Although some 90 years have passed since Beck first described pseudopollen for a small number of Eria spp. currently assigned to section Mycaranthes Rchb.f., we still know little about the character of pseudopollen in this taxon. The use of SEM and histochemistry would re-address this deficit in our knowledge whereas comparison of pseudopollen in Eria (S.E. Asia), Maxillaria (tropical and sub-tropical America), Polystachya (largely tropical Africa and Madagascar) and Dendrobium unicum (Thailand and Laos) would perhaps help us to understand better how this feature may have arisen and evolved on a number of different continents. METHODS: Pseudopollen morphology is described using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Hairs were tested for starch, lipid and protein using IKI, Sudan III and the xanthoproteic test, respectively. KEY RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: The labellar hairs of all eight representatives of section Mycaranthes examined are identical. They are unicellular, clavate with a narrow 'stalk' and contain both protein and starch but no detectable lipid droplets. The protein is distributed throughout the cytoplasm and the starch is confined to amyloplasts. The hairs become detached from the labellar surface and bear raised cuticular ridges and flaky deposits that are presumed to be wax. In that they are unicellular and appear to bear wax distally, the labellar hairs are significantly different from those observed for other orchid species. Comparative morphology indicates that they evolved independently in response to pollinator pressures similar to those experienced by other unrelated pseudopollen-forming orchids on other continents.  相似文献

利用ISSR分子标记对江西省主要山脉的21个春兰(Cymbidium goeringii(Rchb.f.)Rchb.f.)居群进行居群遗传结构研究。结果显示,利用14个筛选的引物共扩增出139条条带,其中多态性条带118条,多态性条带百分率(PPL)为84.89%。21个居群的Nei s基因多样性(He)为0.2292,Shannon指数(I)为0.3613。AMOVA分析表明,春兰居群间变异占50.79%,居群内变异占49.21%,居群间的遗传分化大于居群内的分化。STRUCTURE群体遗传结构和UPGMA聚类分析均表明,江西主要山脉的春兰居群存在地理隔离和生境片断化。推测江西春兰曾广泛分布于罗霄山脉和武夷山脉,受第四纪冰期影响,春兰群体因气候剧烈变化而骤减,仅在山脉间适宜的环境中得以保存并繁衍至今,罗霄山脉和武夷山脉是春兰最主要的两个冰期避难所。综合遗传多样性与居群遗传结构特点,建议在遗传多样性较高的石城(SC)、宜丰(YF)、贵溪(GX)居群设点进行就地保护;对资源破坏严重的大余(DY)和井冈山(JGS)居群实行迁地保护。  相似文献

采用光学显微镜和体视镜,对兰属5种植物(春兰、蕙兰、建兰、寒兰、墨兰)的叶结构特征(叶脉结构、叶表皮结构、解剖结构)进行了观察和测量。结果显示,兰属5种植物的叶脉结构相似,叶表皮结构和解剖结构存在较大差异,其中最主要的差异是皮下纤维束的多少和边缘角质层锯齿形态。依据叶结构特征聚类分析结果,5种兰可分为春兰组、建兰组和墨兰组3组。本研究表明叶结构特征对兰属5种植物的分类具有重要意义。  相似文献

Chen进行了描述和绘图; 丽花兰与大雪兰C. mastersii Griff. ex Lindl.有亲缘关系, 区别点在于新种叶片先端不分裂, 花序具18-22朵花, 唇瓣中裂片上有一个V型的紫红色斑块; 龙州兰(变种)与独占春(原变种)的主要区别在于唇瓣中裂片上和侧裂片顶部有较密的紫红色斑。对象牙白C. maguanense的分类问题进行了讨论, 并为其指定了新模式; 还为腋花组sect. 采用RAPD 技术对云南兰属的11 个种和3 个变种中的39 个样本进行了相似性分析。在相似系数0. 58 水平上, 大花亚属的虎头兰、西藏虎头兰、长叶兰和碧玉兰聚为一支; 建兰亚属的寒兰、墨兰、蜜蜂兰、蕙兰、春兰、豆瓣兰、春剑、莲瓣兰和送春聚为另一支, 兔耳兰与大花亚属关系更近。春剑和莲瓣兰相似性更高, 它们与春兰的关系较远, 不支持送春作为蕙兰下的变种。这些结果可为开展兰属育种提供重要参考价值。  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the labellar epidermis of 13 species of Maxillaria and one hybrid was examined using low-vacuum scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The labellum may be homogeneous and glabrous or papillose, comprising one type of cell only, or heterogeneous with papillae, uniseriate trichomes and/or glands in various combinations. The trichomes are unbranched and multicellular with pointed or truncated tips. Moreover, in some taxa, moniliform trichomes occur, and these are thought to fragment with the formation of pseudopollen. Homogeneous and heterogeneous labellar organization may represent separate evolutionary lines. Preliminary results suggest that labellar features may provide additional taxonomic characters allowing determination of intrageneric affinities.  相似文献

The morphology and anatomy of the labellar epidermal cells and the way in which they are arranged are described in an attempt to locate and characterize the osmophore in Ophrys fusca and O. lutea. The micromorphology of the labellum of these two species is similar. Four types of epidermal cells are present on the adaxial surface of the labellum. Long unicellular trichomes with straight tips cover the basal region of the labellum, whereas short unicellular trichomes with polygonal flattened bases form the reflective median speculum. The apical region of the labellum possesses a villous indumentum of long acuminate trichomes with bent or sinuate tips. Large smooth-walled, dome-shaped papillae occur on the margins and on the distal region of the abaxial surface of the labellum. These remarkable papillae have high polarity; the protoplasm at the apex of each cell contains several small vacuoles, while a prominent nucleus surrounded by numerous hypertrophied amyloplasts occurs at the opposite end of the cell. Positive reactions to Vogel's staining test and to Sudan black B enabled us to conclude that the osmophores of both species are composed of these peculiar secretory epidermal cells and by two or three subsecretory layers of parenchyma cells.  相似文献

Background and Aims Despite the number of orchid speciesthat are thought to be pollinated by hummingbirds, our knowledgeof the nectaries of these orchids is based solely on a singlespecies, Maxillaria coccinea (Jacq.) L.O. Williams ex Hodge.Nevertheless, it is predicted that such nectaries are likelyto be very diverse and the purpose of this paper is to comparethe nectary and the process of nectar secretion in Hexisea imbricata(Lindl.) Rchb.f. with that of Maxillaria coccinea so as to beginto characterize the nectaries of presumed ornithophilous Neotropicalorchids. • Methods Light microscopy, transmission electronmicroscopyand histochemistry were used to examine the histology and chemicalcomposition of nectary tissue and the process of nectar secretionin H. imbricata. • Key Results and Conclusions The nectary of H. imbricatahas a vascular supply, is bound by a single-layered epidermiswith few stomata and comprises two or three layers of subepidermalsecretory cells beneath which lie several layers of palisade-likeparenchymatous cells, some of which contain raphides or mucilage.The secretory cells are collenchymatous and their walls havenumerous pits with associated plasmodesmata. They contain thefull complement of organelles characteristic of secretory cellsas well as intravacuolar protein bodies but some of the secretoryepidermal cells, following secretion, collapse and their anticlinalwalls seem to fold. Nectar secretion is thought to be granulocrineand, following starch depletion, lipid droplets collect withinthe plastids. The nectar accumulates beneath the cuticle whichsubsequently forms swellings. Finally, nectar collects in thesaccate nectary spur formed by the fusion of the margins ofthe labellum and the base of the column-foot. Thus, althoughthe nectary of H. imbricata and M. coccinea have many featuresin common, they nevertheless display a number of important differences.  相似文献

The genus Cymbidium comprises three subgenera with ca. 50 species. Interactions between pollinators and plants have been studied in the two subgenera Cymbidium and Cyperorchis, but only a few studies in the subgenus Jensoa have been reported. Here we report on the reproductive characteristics of C. goeringii (in sub-genus Jensoa) in three populations in the southwest of Hunan Province, China, during the winter from December 2005 to March 2006. Floral phenological and morphological features, behavior of visitors, the breeding system, and fruit sets under natural conditions were studied. The flowers of C. goeringii were strongly fragrant, but did not present any rewards to the visitors. The flowering period of C. goeringii in the studied populations lasted about 40 days, and most flowers (about 60%) opened within 30 days. Flowers opened immediately when temperature increased obviously and reached to about 16 ℃. The flowering time of the pollinated flowers, unpollinated flow-ers and the flowers with pollinarium removed were similar. Two bees of Apidae, Apis cerana cerana (honeybee) and Anthophora melanognatha, were observed visiting flowers of C. goeringii, but only the honeybees performed as pollinators. The honeybees mostly visited the orchid flowers at 10:00–17:00 on sunny days with temperature above 10 ℃. A total of only thirteen visits were observed during 20 days of observation, indicating pollinators were rare. Honeybees directly landed on the upper surface of the labellum and inserted their heads into the flowers between column and labellum, while the hind legs trod on the surface of the curved downward mid-lobe of label-lum. When a honeybee landed on the labellum of a flower, the labellum moved up and down slightly. After the honeybee entered the flower further, its head might touch the foot of the column. At this time, the body of the honeybee was parallel with the upper surface of the labellum. Then the honeybee used its front legs to scratch on the callus ridges on the upper surface of the labellum, and its hind legs hooked the edges of the side lobe of label-lum, trying to exit forcibly from the flower. During exiting process, sometimes the honeybee’s body was arched owing to tension. In this case, the surface of the scutellum came into close contact with the viscidium and then pollinaria, together with the anther cap, were removed. When this honeybee visited next flower, the pollinaria would be adhered to the stigma when it arched its body during the exiting process. Three plant species flowered synchronously with C. goeringii in the studied areas, but their flowers were different with C. goeringii in color or shape. Because C. goeringii is rewardless to pollinators, the flowers probably attract visitors by olfactory stimu-lus. Breeding system experiments showed no spontaneous autogamy and pollination success relying on pollinators in C. goeringii. Artificial pollination resulted in 90% fruit set by induced autogamy, 100% by pollinating within clone, and 100% by xenogamous pollination, respectively. These results indicate that C. goeringii is highly self-compatible and the fruit production is pollen limited. Because pollinators are essential for fruit set of C. goeringii in natural habitats, protection of wild honeybee populations or apiculture is likely a simple but effective strategy to maintain the orchid populations.  相似文献

BACKGROUND AND AIMS: The labellar papillae and trichomes of Maxillaria Ruiz & Pav. show great diversity. Although papillae also occur upon other parts of the flower (e.g. column and anther cap), these have not yet been studied. Labellar trichomes of Maxillaria are useful in taxonomy, but hitherto the taxonomic value of floral papillae has not been assessed. The aim of this paper is to describe the range of floral papillae found in Maxillaria and to determine whether papillae are useful as taxonomic characters. METHODS: Light microscopy, histochemistry, low-vacuum scanning and transmission electron microscopy. KEY RESULTS: A total of 75 taxa were studied. Conical papillae with rounded or pointed tips were the most common. The column and anther cap usually bear conical, obpyriform or villiform papillae, whereas those around the stigmatic surface and at the base of the anther are often larger and swollen. Labellar papillae show greater diversity, and may be conical, obpyriform, villiform, fusiform or clavate. Papillae may also occur on multiseriate trichomes that perhaps function as pseudostamens. Labellar papillae contain protein but most lack lipid. The occurrence of starch, however, is more variable. Many papillae contain pigment or act as osmophores, thereby attracting insects. Rewards such as nectar or a protein-rich, wax-like, lipoidal substance may be secreted by papillae onto the labellar surface. Some papillae may have a protective role in preventing desiccation. Species of diverse vegetative morphology may have identical floral papillae, whereas others of similar vegetative morphology may not. CONCLUSIONS: Generally, floral papillae in Maxillaria have little taxonomic value. Nevertheless, the absence of papillae from members of the M. cucullata alliance, the occurrence of clavate papillae with distended apices in the M. rufescens alliance and the presence of papillose trichomes in some species may yet prove to be useful.  相似文献

Background and Aims

Until recently, there was no consensus regarding the phylogenetic relationships of the Neotropical orchid genera Scuticaria Lindl. and Dichaea Lindl. However, recent evidence derived from both gross morphological and molecular studies supports the inclusion of Scuticaria and Dichaea in sub-tribes Maxillariinae and Zygopetalinae, respectively. The present paper describes the labellar micromorphology of both genera and seeks to establish whether labellar characters support the assignment of Scuticaria and Dichaea to these sub-tribes.

Methods

The labella of four species of Scuticaria and 14 species of Dichaea were examined using light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and their micromorphology was compared with that of representative species of Maxillariinae sensu lato and Zygopetalinae (Huntleya clade).

Key Results and Conclusions

In most specimens of Scuticaria examined, the papillose labella bear uniseriate, multicellular, unbranched trichomes. However, in S. steelii (Lindl.) Lindl., branched hairs may also be present and some trichomes may fragment and form pseudopollen. Multicellular, leaf-like scales were also present in one species of Scuticaria. Similar, unbranched hairs are present in certain species of Maxillaria Ruiz & Pav. (Maxillariinae sensu stricto) and Chaubardia Rchb.f. (Huntleya clade). As yet, moniliform, pseudopollen-forming hairs have not been observed for Zygopetalinae, but their presence in Scuticaria steelii, Maxillaria and Heterotaxis Lindl. supports the placing of Scuticaria in Maxillariinae. As other genera are sampled, the presence of branched hairs, hitherto unknown for Maxillariinae sensu lato, may prove to be a useful character in taxonomy and phylogenetic studies. Euglossophily occurs in Dichaea, as well as Chondrorhyncha Lindl. and Pescatorea Rchb.f. (Huntleya clade), and all three genera tend to lack distinctive labellar features. Instead, lip micromorphology is relatively simple and glabrous or papillose. However, two of the Dichaea species examined bear unicellular, labellar trichomes very similar to those found in Bifrenaria Lindl. 探讨5种不同栽培基质对碧玉兰光合指标日变化的影响。结果表明:5种基质栽培的碧玉兰,其净光合速率、蒸腾速率、胞间CO2浓度及气孔导度的日变化趋势基本呈“双峰”曲线。在基质Ⅳ(1/4树皮+1/4泥炭+1/4水苔+1/4陶粒)中栽培的碧玉兰净光合速率、胞间CO2浓度及气孔导度变化值相对较大,其次是基质Ⅲ(1/2树皮+1/4泥炭+1/4水苔),两者与对照差异显著(p<0.05)。综合来看,基质Ⅳ最适宜碧玉兰的生长。  相似文献

在大花蕙兰茎尖培养中结合病毒唑处理,探讨对建兰花叶病毒(CyMV)和齿兰环斑病毒(ORSV)的脱除效果。结果表明,病毒唑添加到培养基中,处理茎尖2周,脱毒效果低于经病毒唑处理3个月后的幼苗,经病毒唑处理幼苗再结合茎尖培养脱毒效果最好。病毒唑处理对大花蕙兰CyMV的脱除效果优于对ORSV的脱除效果。  相似文献

为了探索兰花舌瓣形成的分子机制,本研究利用消减抑制杂交技术构建了莲瓣王(Cymbidium lianpan Tang et Wang)捧瓣与舌瓣间的cDNA文库。对正向文库中随机挑选的147个阳性克隆测序,组装、拼接,找到37个唯一序列,其中包含25个单一序列和12个拼接序列。经同源性比对,这些EST分别归类于蛋白质折叠,结合、未知功能、应激反应、光合作用、转录调控、信号传导、生物合成、新陈代谢、MADS等10类。通过对MADS-box基因的系统进化树分析,可初步推测MADS-Contig1和MADS-Contig2属于A类基因中的SQUA-like亚家族基因。  相似文献

报道了中国兰科植物一新记录种:高褶石仙桃[Pholidota advena(Par. & Rchb. f.) Hook. f.],并提供了描述与图片。该种与石仙桃(P. chinensis Lindl.)相似,但下唇具3~5个明显隆起的片状脊以及上唇有3个波浪状龙骨一直向顶端延伸汇合。  相似文献
