Two new, closely related species of the genus Ackaeta, A. urbana sp.n. and A. microcosmi sp.n. , (Enchytraeidae, Oligochaeta) from meadow and pasture soils of Berlin and Frankfurt (Germany) are described. Both show the same form and length/width ratio of the seminal funnel and the same general shape of the spermathecal system. They are distinguishable by distributions of epidermal sacs: only dorsal (A. microcosmi) or dorsal and ventral (A. urbana) . Also the origin of the dorsal blood vessel is different. 相似文献

Three new species of Magelona are described from the Seychelles: M. conversa, M. falcifera and M. gemmata. Magelona conversa belongs to a 'M. mirabilisgroup', having a rounded prostomium and specialised chaetae on chaetiger 9, but differs from all other members in having long prechaetal neuropodial lamellae on chaetigers 1–8. Magelona falcifera bears large sickle-shaped hooded hooks in the abdomen and thus approaches the genus Meredithia, but lacks prostomial horns. Magelona gemmata belongs to a 'M. longicornis group' in having distinct prostomial frontal horns, and a thorax with lanceolate postchaetal lamellae in the notopodia and ventral neuropodial lobes. The distinctively swollen bud-like tips on the notopodial lamellae of chaetiger 9 are an unique feature. The status of MeredithiaHernández-Alcántara & Solís-Weiss, 2000 and current magelonid terminology are discussed. 相似文献

The structure of the penial bulb and male efferent duct system of Grania species may be used in addition to setal pattern and spermathecal shape to distinguish species. Six penial bulb types are distinguished: (1) a simple, small, glandular bulb surrounding the male pore; (2) a small, glandular bulb, with a large, associated, dorso-medial gland mass; (3) a small glandular bulb, medial to the male pore, with an elongate male bursa (the aglandular sac), the vas deferens exitting directly into the invaginated male pore; (4) a glandular bulb with an aglandular sac and a small, cuticular stylet embedded in the bulb, extending from the ectal end of the vas deferens; (5) a glandular bulb and an aglandular sac with a long stylet extending from the vas deferens, through the bulb into the sac; and (6) glandular bulb reduced or absent, with or without an aglandular sac; with a long stylet and other prominent modifications, usually muscular, of the vas deferens. The details of the male duct structure were consistent within specimens grouped on the basis of setal distribution and shape and detailed spermathecal structure. Diverse male duct patterns are found within the polytypic species G. macrochaeta and G. postclitellochaeta. The positions of the spermathecal and male pores in their respective segments are distinctive for some species. 相似文献

The Enchytraeidae are essentially terrestrial oligochaetes but many species have marked aquatic tendencies. Over two thirds of recorded Irish species were found in soils which were submerged or frequently flooded and 35% showed a distinct preference for these conditions. Relatively few species were living in soils subject to drought. Red blood was present in 28 species, all but one from soils with more than 55% water. Cognettia sphagnetorum and C. glandulosa developed red blood in very wet conditions. In a survey of Irish wetlands, samples were taken from bog, heath, marsh, fen, margins of lakes and rivers, and saltmarsh. The influence of various environmental parameters was determined using ordination techniques. Magnesium and pH were found to be the most important factors. A high level of magnesium distinguished coastal sites and pH 5.2 separated two clusters representing acid peat and marsh-fen-aquatic sites. Groups of indicator species characterized each of the three clusters. The ecological distribution of the indicator species is described, and their usefulness in classifying enchytraeid communities is discussed. 相似文献

Summary Spatial pattern of enchytraeids (Oligochaeta: Enchytraeidae) was studied in an experimental plot in an apple orchard near Bavorov, South Bohemia, Czechoslovakia. A total of 450 soil cores were taken in 1982, all individuals were determined (juveniles to genus, mature individuals to species) and counted. In total, 17 species of 4 genera were found. Both juveniles and mature individuals exhibited a distinctly aggregated spatial pattern. The distribution of the number of individuals in a sampling unit may be effectively fitted by the negative binomial distribution. The fit of Neyman type A distribution was considerably poorer. Comparing juveniles and mature individuals of the same genus using Lloyd's index of patchiness we found mature individuals to be slightly more aggregated than juveniles. Comparing the observed distribution of species number with that expected under the assumption of independence we may conclude that individuals appear in multispecies aggregation centres. These two conclusions support the hypothesis that aggregations are environmentally conditioned (abiotic factors and/or food availability) rather than caused by the type of reproduction. 相似文献

Santa Cruz and El Gambute, two mangrove systems with associated tidal flats, were sampled in Coiba National Park, Coiba Island, Pacific of Panama. At each site, two samplings were done at low, middle and high intertidal levels in February and November of 1997. A new orbiniid species were found: Orbinia oligopapillata n. sp. is characterized by having 15-16 thoracic chaetigers with four or five rows of uncini and up to three papilliform postchaetal processes on neuropodial lobes by the abdominal parapodia bearing flail-tipped neurochaetae, and by the presence on anterior-most abdominal chaetigers of interramal cirri and a low number of subpodial and stomach papillae. A specimen belonging to genus Leitoscoloplos Day, 1977 is described as "Leitoscoloplos sp.", characterized by the lateral pouches on its abdominal chaetigers, a unique case for the family because these brooding structures have only been previously cited in two species of Scoloplos. Naineris sp. is characterized by the number of its thoracic chaetigers, branchiae, uncini and bilobed abdominal neuropodia with protruding aciculae. 相似文献

We describe three enchytraeid species, including two new species, from Mt. Changbaishan, Jilin Province, northeastern China. Oconnorella cheni sp. nov. is characterized by a simple spermatheca; absence of the oesophageal appendages and seminal vesicle; and nephridia from 6/7, with a distinct funnel and the efferent duct arising from the anterior part of the postseptale. Oconnorella globula sp. nov. is distinguished by a spermatheca with two diverticula; lack of oesophageal appendages and seminal vesicle; and nephridia from 6/7, with distinct funnel and the efferent duct arising from the mid-ventral or posteroventral part of the postseptale. We redescribe Oconnorella changbaishanensis (Xie et al., 2000) from type and live specimens, and amend some characters that cannot be investigated clearly from mounted specimens. Two mountain streams north and northeast of Vladivostok were studied in 1983–1984. In the Komarovka Stream, a great variety of Mesenchytraeus occurred in the spring zone, among them M. crenobius sp. n. with giant setae in the ventral bundles of VI–VIII and M. vshivkovae sp. n. with numerous spermathecal diverticula. In the stream zone of the Frolovka Stream Cernosvitoviella pensau sp. n., characterized by a complicated penial bulb and a very long spermathecal ampulla, was the dominant oligochaete. Propappus arhynchotus Sokolskaya was the second most abundant oligochaete in this stream. It proved to be a true member of this genus and not synonymous with any other species. These are the first records of aquatic enchytraeids for the Primorski Region of Russia. 相似文献

The taxonomy of Chamaedrilus
glandulosus (Michaelsen, 1888) s. l., most commonly known previously as Cognettia
glandulosa, is revised. A recent molecular systematic study has shown that this taxon harbours two cryptic, but genetically well separated lineages, each warranting species status. In this study these two lineages are scrutinized morphologically, on the basis of Michaelsen’s type material as well as newly collected specimens from Central and Northern Europe. Chamaedrilus

sp. n. is recognized as new to science. The two species are morphologically very similar, differing mainly in size, but seem to prefer different habitats, with Chamaedrilus

New species in the genus Fabriciola Friedrich are described. Fabriciola is defined by a single synapomorphy, the presence of non-vascularized, ventral filamentous appendages. Otherwise the genus is variable, with differences among species in chaetae, eyes, and peristomial organization. The new species, Fabriciola flammula, F. liguronis and F. parvus , reflect this heterogeneity. Fabriciola liguronis has spermathecae in the radiolar crown of females, the first record of these structures in Fabriciola , but F. flammula and F. parvus lack spermathecae. Sperm ultrastructure in all three species share apomorphies with other fabriciins, but vary in other respects. Fabriciola may be paraphyletic, but material of the type species F. spongicola (Southern, 1921) has been unobtainable so far, and detailed study of this species is required to define the genus Fabriciola adequately. 相似文献

Trichaptum imbricatum, T. perenne and T. podocarpi are three new species from China. They are described, illustrated and compared in this paper with similar species. Trichaptum imbricatum is unique in its imbricate basidiocarps, white to cream hymenophores, small and regular pores, and scattered and thin-walled
cystidia. Trichaptum perenne differs from other species in the genus in its perennial and pileate habit, its large pores and entire dissepiments, and
oblong, ellipsoid basidiospores. Trichaptum podocarpi is distinguished in having totally resupinate basidiocarps, distinctly long cystidia, and in its habitat on Podocarpus. A key to species of Trichaptum occurring in China is provided; statistical variations of spore dimensions for each species are included in the key. 相似文献

Cernosvitoviella ampullax sp.n. is characterized by the long ampulla of the spermatheca (usually 5–7 times longer than the ectal duct), the funnel-shaped sperm funnel and the dorsal vessel which originates in segment XI. A wide range of habitats, both terrestrial and marine littoral, were sampled in an area between Pensacola and Tallahassee. Enchytraeids were present in all moist or wet soils and in marine habitats enriched by organic matter but were absent or rare in very dry soils, saturated or flooded substrates and clean intertidal sand. Between 70 and 75 species were distinguished of which 50–55 are new to North America and about 25 are probably new to science. The genera represented are the same as those occurring in Western Europe but their relative importance differs and there are some tropical elements. The number of species occurring in terrestrial sites was greater than recorded in similar surveys in southwestern France and Ireland (approximately the same-sized area, number of sites and size of sample), but the number of species per sample was lower than in either of the other countries. It is concluded that species distribution in western Florida is very patchy. Possible reasons for this patchiness are discussed. 相似文献

A review of the earthworm fauna of the Carpathian Basin recorded a total of 97 earthworm species of which three: Dendrobaena vladeasa, Octodriloides izanus and Octodrilus parvivesiculatus spp. nov. are new to science. A biogeographic analysis of the earthworm fauna revealed an extraordinarily high rate of endemism (40.21%) which is explained by the special Quaternary and tectonic history of the region. 相似文献
