Two new taxa of Ardisia from Thailand, A. integra and A. corymbifera var. euryoides , are described and illustrated.     

Notes on the genus Ardisia (Myrsinaceae) from Thailand

Ardisia dawnaea is for the first time reported from Thailand; a new combination: Ardisia sanguinolenta var. paralleloneura is made; two names: Ardisia dawnensis and Ardisia undulatodentata are reduced to synonymy, and some confused or misidentified species of Ardisia are clarified.     

Two new taxa of Terminalia (Combretaceae) from Thailand

Two new taxa of Terminalia, T. pedicellata Nanakorn and T. franchetii var. tomentosa Nanakorn are described.     

New taxa ofRubiaceae-Rubieae from Iraq

New species ofCrucianella (1),Asperula (2),Galium (3), and a new subspcies (Galium), most of them endemic to Iraq, are described and their closest affinities discussed. A number of new combinations and status alterations withinCrucianella, Asperula, Galium andCruciata are also published.     

New taxa ofRubiaceae-Rubieae from Iran

Asperula sect.Oppositifoliae is validated. 2 new species ofAsperula and 7 new species and 1 variety ofGalium from Iran are described, discussed in respect to their affinities and illustrated. 2 subspecies are raised to species rank.

New taxa from the Venezuelan Guayana

Seven new taxa, mainly from the Guayana Highland of Venezuela, are described. These include four new species (Cottendorfia atrorosea, Navia emergens, Navia ovoidea, and Pitcairnia nematophora) and one new variety (Cottendorfia brachyphylla var. angustior) of Bromeliaceae, one new species (Swartzia cowanii) of Leguminosae, and one new species (Marlierea pudica) of Myrtaceae.     

New taxa of Asteraceae from southern Mexico

Fieldwork in connection with the project to document the flora of the Mixteca Alta region, northwestern Oaxaca, Mexico, has resulted in the discovery of the following taxa: Verbesina calzadae and Viguiera grammatoglossa var. huajuapana (Heliantheae); Sinclairia manriquei (Liabeae); and Psacalium schillingii (Senecioneae).     

New taxa from Cerro Marahuaca,Venezuela

Two new species,Siphocampylus tillettii (Campanulaceae: Lobelioideae) andDuidaea marahuacensis (Asteraceae), are described from the summit of Cerro Marahuaca, Venezuela. These constitute the first records of any species known from the summit of this sandstone tepui.
