森林可燃物是森林生态系统的基本组成部分, 是影响林火发生及火烧强度的重要因素之一, 因此, 受到国内外学者的广泛关注。该文从以下4个方面综述了国内外可燃物研究的最新进展: 森林可燃物特性, 森林可燃物类型与火行为, 森林可燃物类型、载量的调查与制图, 森林可燃物管理。同时提出了我国森林可燃物今后的研究方向: 开展多尺度可燃物研究; 可燃物类型与火行为的研究; 把以试验观测为基础的静态研究与以空间技术和生态模型为基础的动态预测相结合, 研究可燃物处理效果; 全球气候变化背景下可燃物处理与碳收支。  相似文献

The development of technologies for utilizing biomass has attracted attention because biomass can be produced sustainably worldwide. Biomass-derived 2-methyltetrahydrofuran (MTHF), which is a promising alternative to gasoline, has great market potential and a growing demand. However, in conventional biomass conversion processes, the minimum selling price (MSP) of biochemicals is not economically acceptable. Co-production of biochemicals can increase the economics of biomass utilization. Herein, we developed a process for co-producing MTHF and 1,4-pentanediol (1,4-PDO) from lignocellulosic biomass. After biomass fractionation, cellulose and hemicellulose were converted to levulinic acid (LA), and lignin was used for heat and electricity generation. LA was then converted to γ-valerolactone (GVL). As a platform material for co-production, GVL was converted into MTHF and 1,4-PDO in each subsystem. The split ratio of GVL was controlled to efficiently produce MTHF and 1,4-PDO according to market conditions. Additionally, we performed a techno-economic and life-cycle assessment (TEA and LCA, respectively) for the developed process. The MSP of MTHF was calculated based on the TEA results, and the environmental impacts were quantitatively calculated based on the LCA results. We performed heat integration using pinch analysis and then reduced the energy requirement of the proposed process. The key cost drivers and environmental factors of the proposed process were identified via sensitivity analyses. Consequently, during the processing of 2000 ton/day of corn stover (raw material of lignocellulose), the MSP of MTHF was calculated as $2.64/GGE (gasoline equivalent), and representative environmental impacts such as climate change and fossil depletion were calculated as −0.296 kg CO2 eq and − 0.056 kg oil eq, respectively. As a result, we can increase the economics of commercial production of MTHF and 1,4-PDO with environmental sustainability. The proposed process can serve as a potential solution to the growing demand for the need for more sustainable biomass utilization.  相似文献

Climate change,fuel and fire behaviour in a eucalypt forest   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
A suite of models was used to examine the links between climate, fuels and fire behaviour in dry eucalypt forests in south‐eastern Australia. Predictions from a downscaled climate model were used to drive models of fuel amount, the moisture content of fuels and two models of forest fire behaviour at a location in western Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. We found that a warming and drying climate produced lower fine fuel amounts, but greater availability of this fuel to burn due to lower moisture contents. Changing fuel load had only a small effect on fuel moisture. A warmer, drier climate increased rate of spread, an important measure of fire behaviour. Reduced fuel loads ameliorated climate‐induced changes in fire behaviour for one model. Sensitivity analysis of the other fire model showed that changes in fuel amount induced changes in fire behaviour of a similar magnitude to that caused directly by sensitivity to climate. Projection of changes in fire risk requires modelling of changes in vegetation as well as changes in climate. Better understanding of climate change effects on vegetation structure is required.  相似文献

This paper describes results obtained from CI engine performance running on dual fuel mode at fixed engine speed and four loads, varying the mixing system and pilot fuel quality, associated with fuel composition and cetane number. The experiments were carried out on a power generation diesel engine at 1500 m above sea level, with simulated biogas (60% CH4–40% CO2) as primary fuel, and diesel and palm oil biodiesel as pilot fuels. Dual fuel engine performance using a naturally aspirated mixing system and diesel as pilot fuel was compared with engine performance attained with a supercharged mixing system and biodiesel as pilot fuel. For all loads evaluated, was possible to achieve full diesel substitution using biogas and biodiesel as power sources. Using the supercharged mixing system combined with biodiesel as pilot fuel, thermal efficiency and substitution of pilot fuel were increased, whereas methane and carbon monoxide emissions were reduced.  相似文献

森林燃烧性是森林火险评估的基础,也是制定营林防火措施的依据.以北京市八达岭林场18种主要森林类型的地表死可燃物为研究对象,分别以死可燃物负荷量、含水率及综合属性为分析依据,结合国内外最新研究成果、林场实际情况和样地调查,分别讨论并对比不同森林类型的燃烧性,并划分等级.研究得出,以地表死可燃物综合属性为分析依据,研究不同森林类型的燃烧性更符合林场实际情况,并以综合属性为依据绘制林场燃烧性等级图,同时,死可燃物负荷量和含水率的分析,可以为营林防火措施的制定提供理论依据.  相似文献

The thrifty genotype hypothesis initiated speculation that feast and famine cycling throughout history may have led to group-specific alterations of the human genome, thereby augmenting the capacity for excessive fat mass accrual when immersed in the modern-day obesogenic environment. Contemporary work, however, suggests alternative mechanisms influencing fuel utilization and subsequent tissue partitioning to be more relevant in the etiology of population-based variation in adipose storage. The objective of this study was to evaluate the independent and interactive contribution of ancestral admixture as a proxy for population-based genetic variation and diet on adipose tissue deposition and distribution in peripubertal children and to identify differences in racial/ethnic and sex groups. Two-hundred seventy-eight children (53% male) aged 7-12 years, categorized by parental self-report as African- (n = 91), European- (n = 110), or Hispanic American (n = 77), participated. Ancestral genetic admixture was estimated using 140 ancestry informative markers. Body composition was evaluated by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry; energy expenditure by indirect calorimetry and accelerometry; and diet by 24-h-recall. Admixture independently contributed to all adiposity parameters; i.e., estimates of European and Amerindian ancestries were positively associated with all adiposity parameters, whereas African genetic admixture was inversely associated with adiposity. In boys, energy intake was associated with adiposity, irrespective of macronutrient profile, whereas in girls, the relationship was mediated by carbohydrate. We also observed moderating effects of energy balance/fuel utilization of the interaction between ancestral genetic admixture and diet. Interactive effects of genetic and non-genetic factors alter metabolic pathways and underlie some of the present population-based differences in fat storage.  相似文献

Optimal avian migration: A dynamic model of fuel stores and site use   总被引:8,自引:0,他引:8  
Birds migrating between widely separated wintering and breeding grounds may choose among a number of potential stopover sites by using different itineraries. Our aim is to predict the optimal migration schedule in terms of (1) rates of fuel deposition, (2) departure fuel loads and (3) stopover site use, when only a handful of such sites are available. We assume that reproductive success depends on the date and fuel load at arrival on the breeding grounds. On migration, the birds face a trade-off between gaining fuel and avoiding predation. To allow the optimal decision at any given moment to depend on the fuel load and the location of the bird, as well as on unpredictability in conditions, we employed stochastic dynamic programming. This technique assumes that the birds know the probability distribution of conditions in all sites, but not the particular realization they will encounter. We examined the consequences of varying aspects of the model, like (1) the shape of the relationship between arrival date and fitness, (2) the presence of stochasticity in fuel deposition rates and wind conditions, and (3) the nature of predation (i.e. whether predation risk depends on the fuel load of the birds or their feeding intensity). Optimal fuel deposition rates are predicted to be constant if there are either only predation risks of maintaining stores or only risks of acquiring fuel stores. If only fuel acquisition is risky, fuel deposition rates can be below maximum, especially if there also is an intermediate best arrival time at the breeding ground. The fuel deposition rate at a site then depends not just on the site's quality but on the qualities of all visited sites. In contrast, rates of fuel deposition are not constant if both the acquisition and the maintenance of fuel stores carry risk. Optimal departure fuel loads are just enough to reach the next site if the environment is deterministic and are simply set by the energetic cost of covering the distance. As with time-minimizing models, more fuel than necessary to reach a site is only deposited under very restricted circumstances. Such overloads are more likely to be deposited if either fuel gains or expenditure are stochastic. The size of overloads is then determined by the variance in fuel gain at the target site and the worst possible conditions during flight. Site use is modified by differences in predation risk between sites and differences in fuel deposition rates. An expression derived to predict site use under time minimization provides a good approximation in state-dependent models. In some cases, the possibility of starvation may influence optimal decisions, even when the probability of starvation under the optimal policy is low. A microbial fuel cell (MFC) is a device that converts chemical energy into electricity through the catalytic activities of microorganisms. Although there is great potential of MFCs as an alternative energy source, novel wastewater treatment process, and biosensor for oxygen and pollutants, extensive optimization is required to exploit the maximum microbial potential. 随着森林防火预报精细化的需求,小时尺度可燃物湿度的准确模拟成为火险预报的关键。利用2010年8月连续无降雨天气条件下我国大兴安岭林区10h时滞可燃物湿度和相应气象因子的半小时动态观测资料,从可燃物的失水和吸水过程对目前广泛使用的Fosberg模型和Van Wagner模型进行评估,进而发展了准确模拟10h时滞可燃物失水和吸水过程的可燃物湿度模型。结果表明:Fosberg模型对10h时滞可燃物的失水过程模拟较好(R2=0.96,P<0.01),而Van Wagner模型对10h时滞可燃物的吸水过程模拟较好(R2=0.83,P<0.01),但均不能独立地准确模拟10h时滞可燃物的湿度变化。通过分析可燃物失水与吸水过程,考虑可燃物在静风条件下的水汽交换,优化了Van Wagner模型参数,建立了综合反映可燃物失水与吸水过程的10h时滞可燃物湿度模型。据比较,该模型可准确地模拟10h时滞可燃物的湿度变化(R2=0.88,P<0.01),可为精细化火险预报提供技术支撑。  相似文献

利用嗜鞣管囊酵母P-01对木糖和葡萄糖共发酵生产燃料乙醇的条件进行了试验研究,结果表明,木糖和葡萄糖混合液生产燃料乙醇的最佳条件为发酵液的pH值5.5、30℃、摇床转速120 r/min、接种量10%、发酵液初始糖浓度6%、葡萄糖与木糖之比为2、发酵周期为84h。在最佳发酵条件下,发酵醪液中的燃料乙醇浓度为2.101%,糖醇转化率为35%。  相似文献

Aim The aim of this study was to determine how spatial variation in vegetation type and landscape connectivity influence fire intervals in a semi‐arid landscape with low relief and complex mosaics of woodland and shrubland vegetation. Location Our study focused on a 15,500‐km2 area of relatively undisturbed and unmanaged land in south‐western Australia, referred to as the Lake Johnston region. Methods We modelled fire‐interval data from a 67‐year (1940–2006) digital fire history database using a two‐parameter Weibull function, and tested for the effects of vegetation type and landscape connectivity on estimates of the length of fire intervals (Weibull parameter b) and the dependence of fire intervals on fuel age (Weibull parameter c). Results Vegetation type and landscape connectivity significantly influenced fire interval probability distributions. Fire intervals in shrublands (dense low shrub assemblage) were typically shorter (b = 46 years) and more dependent on fuel age (c = 2.33) than most other vegetation types, while fire intervals in open eucalypt woodlands were much longer (b = 405 years) and were less dependent on fuel age (c = 1.36) than in shrub‐dominated vegetation types. Areas adjacent to or surrounded by salt lakes burnt less frequently (b = 319 years) and fire intervals were less dependent on fuel age (c = 1.48) compared with more exposed areas (e.g. b < 101 years, c > 1.68). Fire intervals in thickets (dense tall shrub assemblage) were longer (b = 101 years) than would be expected from fuel loads, most likely because they were protected from fire by surrounding fuel‐limited woodlands. Main conclusions Fire intervals in south‐western Australia are strongly influenced by spatial variation in vegetation (fuel structure) and landscape connectivity. The importance of fuel structure as a control of fire intervals in south‐western Australia contrasts with other landscapes, where topographical gradients or climatic influences may override the effects of underlying vegetation. We found that, regardless of low relief, topographical features such as large salt lake systems limited the connectivity and spread of fire among landscape units in an analogous manner to lakes or mountainous features elsewhere.  相似文献

A new one-compartment fuel cell was composed of a rubber bunged bottle with a center-inserted anode and a window-mounted cathode containing an internal, proton-permeable porcelain layer. This fuel cell design was less expensive and more practical than the conventional two-compartment system, which requires aeration and a ferricyanide solution in the cathode compartment. Three new electrodes containing bound electron mediators including a Mn(4+)-graphite anode, a neutral red (NR) covalently linked woven graphite anode, and an Fe(3+)-graphite cathode were developed that greatly enhanced electrical energy production (i.e., microbial electron transfer) over conventional graphite electrodes. The potentials of these electrodes measured by cyclic voltametry at pH 7.0 were (in volts): +0.493 (Fe(3+)-graphite); +0.15 (Mn(4+)-graphite); and -0.53 (NR-woven graphite). The maximal electrical productivities obtained with sewage sludge as the biocatalyst and using a Mn(4+)-graphite anode and a Fe(3+)-graphite cathode were 14 mA current, 0.45 V potential, 1,750 mA/m(2) current density, and 788 mW/m(2) of power density. With Escherichia coli as the biocatalyst and using a Mn(4+)-graphite anode and a Fe(3+)-graphite cathode, the maximal electrical productivities obtained were 2.6 mA current, 0.28 V potential, 325 mA/m(2) current density, and 91 mW/m(2) of power density. These results show that the amount of electrical energy produced by microbial fuel cells can be increased 1,000-fold by incorporating electron mediators into graphite electrodes. These results also imply that sewage sludge may contain unique electrophilic microbes that transfer electrons more readily than E. coli and that microbial fuel cells using the new Mn(4+)-graphite anode and Fe(3+)-graphite cathode may have commercial utility for producing low amounts of electrical power needed in remote locations.  相似文献

从潜在林火行为的角度出发,依据可燃物的关键参数,利用系统聚类方法在丰林自然保护区建立标准森林可燃物模型.结果表明:丰林自然保护区可建立3个标准可燃物模型,代表性植被类型分别为阔叶红松林(模型FL-Ⅰ)、云冷杉林(模型FL-Ⅱ)和杨桦林(模型FL-Ⅲ).依据可燃物的林分结构与组成、地表覆盖类型、水平与垂直连续性等,本研究建立的FL-Ⅰ、FL-Ⅱ和FL-Ⅲ模型与加拿大CFBPS可燃物分类系统中的C-5、C-2和D-1模型相似.3个标准可燃物模型的地表和垂直结构特征,可为野外工作者判定可燃物模型提供帮助.  相似文献

Symmetrical solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) have attracted increasing attention due to their potential for improved thermomechanical compatibility of the electrolyte and the electrodes, reduced fabrication cost, and enhanced immunity to coking and sulfur poisoning. While the electrode materials of symmetrical SOFCs are initially limited to those with stable phase structures under both reducing and oxidizing atmospheres, many novel electrode materials are currently being developed and investigated that may undergo a beneficial phase transition or reduction in a reducing atmosphere, although the same material may be used initially for the construction of both anode and cathode. Here, the advances made in the development of electrode materials and structures for symmetrical SOFCs are summarized, including single‐phase electrodes, multi‐phase (composite) electrodes, and those that are reducible upon exposure to a reducing atmosphere. The electrical conductivity, thermomechanical properties, and redox behavior of these electrode materials, together with their performance and stability in different SOFCs, are discussed and analyzed. The problems associated with different types of symmetrical SOFCs are outlined and the materials that show promise as symmetrical electrodes are highlighted, offering critical insights and useful guidelines for knowledge‐based rational design of better electrodes for commercially viable symmetrical SOFCs.  相似文献

High internal resistance is a key problem limiting the power output of the microbial fuel cell (MFC). Therefore, more knowledge about the internal resistance is essential to enhance the performance of the MFC. However, different methods are used to determine the internal resistance, which makes the comparison difficult. In this study, three different types of MFCs were constructed to study the composition and distribution of internal resistance. The internal resistance (R i) is partitioned into anodic resistance (R a), cathodic resistance (R c), and ohmic resistance () according to their origin and the design of the MFCs. These three resistances were then evaluated by the “current interrupt” method and the “steady discharging” method based on the proposed equivalent circuits for MFCs. In MFC-A, MFC-B, and MFC-C, the R i values were 3.17, 0.35, and 0.076 Ω m2, the values were 2.65, 0.085, and 0.008 Ω m2, the R a values were 0.055, 0.115, and 0.034 Ω m2, and the R c values were 0.466, 0.15, and 0.033 Ω m2, respectively. For MFC-B and MFC-C, the remarkable decrease in R i compared with the two-chamber MFC was mainly ascribed to the decline in and R c. In MFC-C, the membrane electrodes’ assembly lowered the ohmic resistance and facilitated the mass transport through the anode and cathode electrodes, resulting in the lowest R i among the three types.  相似文献
