The elastic properties of the thoracic aorta are well known, but this is the first study of the inherent strength of the tunica media. The latter is crucial to understand how dissecting aneurysms occur. Pressure-volume (P-V) measurements were recorded as a dilute suspension of India ink was infused into the tunica media using a constant flow pump (0.21 or 0.88 ml min-1) attached to a 20 G needle inserted into the media. Tests done on 31 opened pig upper descending thoracic aortas showed the peak pressure to tear the media averaged 77.2 +/- 1.5 kPa (579 mm Hg). The initial slope of the P-V curve revealed the average distensibility of the media of 3.02 +/- 0.28 (MPa)-1. The work per unit area of tissue required to propagate a tear in the aorta was 15.9 +/- 0.9 mJ cm-2. These values were independent of the tear depth at the 95% confidence interval.  相似文献

Hypoplastic pits on human deciduous canine teeth are attributed to nutritionally induced thinning of the crypt wall prior to eruption, exposing ameloblasts to unspecified physical trauma through the fenestration. Traditionally known as localized hypoplasia of the primary canine (LHPC), this little‐understood condition is reported in fields ranging from public health to bioarchaeology. We propose the defect be termed a ‘crypt fenestration hypoplastic enamel defect’ (CFED) to reflect that an analogous lesion is created postnatally on maxillary molars of pigs. Pigs are accepted as a suitable proxy for many studies in human biology. We compare fenestration defects and CFEDs between 50 Sick Pen pigs, who died naturally, and 20 Controls. Observations were made of the presence, number and size of fenestrations in molar crypts. CFEDs were counted on erupted deciduous last molars and permanent first molars. Signs of being underweight and cranio‐dental infection at death were recorded. Sick pen pigs show significantly more fenestrations at death and CFEDs acquired before death. These conditions co‐occur with infection and poor growth. The deep fibers of temporalis muscle lie adjacent to the crypt wall of maxillary molars. We propose that contraction of this muscle during suckling and chewing creates large compressive forces against fenestrated bony surfaces sufficient to have physiological consequences for physically unprotected ameloblasts. While we conclude that a pig model is appropriate to study fenestration‐induced enamel defects, this naturalistic experiment leaves unresolved whether osteopenia in pigs, and by extension in human infants, is due to disease and/or malnutrition. Five healthy young men underwent two separate steady-state incremental exercise runs within the aerobic range on a treadmill with alternating periods of breathing with no load (NL) and with a discontinuous inspiratory elastic load (IEL) of approximately 10 cmH2O/l. End-tidal PCO2 was maintained constant throughout each run at the eucapnic or a constant hypercapnic level by adding 0-5% CO2 to the inspired O2. Hypercapnia caused a steepening, as well as upward shift, relative to the corresponding eucapnic ventilation-CO2 output (VE-VCO2) relationship in NL and IEL. Compared with NL, the VE-VCO2 slope was depressed by IEL, more so in hypercapnic [-28.7 +/- 7.2 (SE) %] than in eucapnic exercise (-16.0 +/- 2.8%). The steady-state hypercapnic ventilatory response at rest was also markedly depressed (-32.1 +/- 11.2%). Occlusion pressure response was augmented in response to IEL during eucapnic exercise (88.7 +/- 13.3%) but not during CO2 inhalation at rest or during exercise. Breathing pattern characteristics were similar regardless of the type of stimulus input and the level of inspiratory load. Results are consistent with the notion that the control of VE and breathing pattern may both be influenced by a balance between the prevailing chemical drive and a propensity of the controller to reduce respiratory effort.  相似文献

Metabolic rate and tissue blood flow were measured by indirect calorimetry and the radioactive microsphere technique, respectively, in anaesthetized pigs aged 10, 17, and 28 days during infusions of saline or noradrenaline. Noradrenaline produced a rise in oxygen consumption in all pigs but the magnitude of the response declined with age in Large White pigs (percent increase: 10 days old, 29.5 +/- 3.3; 17 days old, 15.3 +/- 3.2; 28 days old, 5.4 +/- 0.17) and was less in 10-day-old Minipigs (9.1 +/- 5.1). Regional blood flow per gram of tissue was similar for pigs of all ages and noradrenaline produced increases in flow to heart and skin, and small reductions in blood flow to skeletal muscle. Noradrenaline increased average blood flow to adipose tissue (four sites) by 21-fold in 10-day-old Large White pigs, but had less effect in 10-day-old Minipigs (9.5-fold) and in older Large White pigs (9-fold), where the effect on metabolic rate was diminished. It is calculated that adipose tissue could be responsible for the increase in metabolic rate during infusion of noradrenaline. Macroscopically there are no gross differences between various adipose tissue depots in the pig but those which showed the greatest response to noradrenaline correspond to areas where brown adipocytes have previously been identified by electron microscopy.  相似文献

Effects of maturation and aging on collateral ventilation in sheep   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We studied collateral ventilation as a function of age by measuring the resistance (Rcoll) and time constant (Tcoll) of collateral airflow in young (2-10 mo), mature (16-24 mo), and old sheep (6-13 yr). Rcoll was 0.50 +/- 0.11 cmH2O X ml-1 X min (SE) in young sheep and decreased significantly to 0.05 +/- 0.02 and 0.02 +/- 0.01 cmH2O X ml-1 X min in mature and old sheep, respectively. Tcoll was 34.4 +/- 7.9 (SE) s in young sheep and decreased to 5.7 +/- 0.9 and 10.2 +/- 3.1 s in mature and old sheep, respectively. We conclude that a marked decrease in Rcoll and Tcoll occurs between birth and maturity but changes little with further aging. In the young an increased resistance and time constant of collateral airflow may accentuate ventilation perfusion imbalance and impair the removal of secretions in disease states.  相似文献

Copper deficiency adversely affects the extracellular matrix of the arterial wall, leading to cardiovascular lesions. To study the lesions resulting from copper deficiency, the composition of proteoglycans from aortas of copper-deficient rats was compared with proteoglycans of aortas from copper-supplemented rats. Copper deficiency in rats was verified by copper levels in adrenal glands (mean +/- SE, 0.37 +/- 0.07 vs 1.03 +/- 0.17 micrograms/g wet wt in supplemented rats). The proteoglycans were isolated from the aorta by extraction with 4 M guanidine-HCl and by digestion of the tissue with elastase. The proteoglycans were purified by CsCl isopycnic centrifugation and fractionated by gel filtration. The fractions were characterized for molecular size and glycosaminoglycan composition. Total uronate in the aortas from copper-deficient rats was 25% greater than in aortas from copper-supplemented rats, and the proteoglycans from copper-deficient rat aortas were of greater molecular size. Among the glycosaminoglycans the concentration (microgram/mg tissue) of isomeric chondroitin sulfates, particularly dermatan sulfate, was greater in copper-deficient animals than in copper-supplemented animals. These observations are similar to earlier findings in experimental atherosclerosis and to a response of cardiovascular connective tissue to injury.  相似文献

In polyovular species, it is unclear whether the characteristics of each individual corpus luteum (CL), such as mass, progesterone concentration and receptors for luteinizing hormone (LH), are representative of those of its cohorts during the ovarian cycle. The current study was performed 1) to characterize the conditions for estimation of binding parameters for LH receptors in porcine CL, and 2) to compare LH binding sites, luteal progesterone concentrations and luteal masses among CL of ovaries within individual pigs. Gonadotropin binding sites in porcine CL were characterized via specific binding of 125I-human (h) LH to 20,000 X g particulate fractions of luteal tissue. Specific binding was directly proportional to tissue content and was detectable at the lowest content tested (0.5 mg tissue equivalents/tube). Specific uptake of 0.25 ng LH by 5.0 mg tissue equivalents was time- and temperature-dependent; steady-state binding was achieved within 20 h at 37 and 25 degrees C. Binding of LH after 20 h incubation at 37 degrees C (4718 +/- 192 cpm, means +/- SEM) and 25 degrees C (4112 +/- 340 cpm) was greater than that at 4 degrees C (1930 +/- 5 cpm, P less than 0.01). Luteal particulates from individual CL of ovaries collected from four mature nonpregnant pigs (13-23 CL/pig) were incubated with eight concentrations of 125I-hLH. Steady-state binding depended upon hormone concentration until reaching saturation at 2.5 ng 125I-hLH/tube. Scatchard analyses yielded linear plots. The average volume of isolated Kupffer cells of rat liver is 821 +/- 64 microns 3, the average surface being 423 +/- 24 microns 2 (599 microns 2, with cell processes included). The surface structure (pseudopodia, lamellipodia, filopodia, microvilli) of isolated cells is much less developed than that of Kupffer cells in situ. By morphometric characterization volume densities are 0.1264 +/- 0.0077 (SE) for mitochondria and 0.3591 +/- 0.0169 for lysosomal structures. Aminophylline has been shown to dramatically reduce the filtering capacity of the lung in dogs during venous air embolism. Similarities have been pointed out between the cardiovascular and respiratory systems of the pig and of humans. We therefore wanted to find out whether aminophylline also modifies the transpulmonary spillover of microbubbles to the arterial circulation of the pig. Twenty-eight pigs were anesthetized with pentobarbital sodium and mechanically ventilated. Aminophylline was injected intravenously into 10 of the pigs before the introduction of air bubbles into the right ventricle, while the other 18 pigs served as controls. A transesophageal echocardiographic probe was used to detect eventual air bubbles in the left atrium or in the aorta. Pigs received either air infusion, at rates varying from 0.05 to 0.20 ml.kg-1.min-1, or calibrated microbubbles, 5-300 microns diam. We found that aminophylline-treated pigs did not show any change in spillover incidence compared with controls. Furthermore, in both groups the spillover during continuous air infusion seemed to be a preterminal event, because the pigs had very low arterial pressure when arterial bubbles were observed. Finally, there was an increase in mean pulmonary arterial pressure from 18 +/- 3.4 to 26 +/- 2.2 (SD) mmHg (n = 4, P less than 0.01) in aminophylline-treated pigs after a bolus injection of microbubbles (less than or equal to 50 microns, total volume less than 0.5 ml). Our results suggest that aminophylline does not modify the transpulmonary passage of microbubbles in this porcine model. In addition, it would seem that the pulmonary circulation of the pig is sensitive to very small volumes of air, when injected as microbubbles.  相似文献

Presence of Kynurenic Acid in the Mammalian Brain   总被引:14,自引:6,他引:8  
Kynurenic acid, a tryptophan metabolite able to antagonize the actions of the excitatory amino acids, has been identified and measured for the first time in the brain of mice, rats, guinea pigs, and humans by using an HPLC method. Its content was 5.8 +/- 0.9 in mouse brain, 17.8 +/- 2.0 in rat brain, 16.2 +/- 1.5 in guinea pig brain, 26.8 +/- 2.9 in rabbit brain, and 150 +/- 30 in human cortex (pmol/g wet wt. mean +/- SE). The regional distribution of this molecule was uneven. In rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits, the brainstem was the area richest in this compound. Tryptophan administration (100-300 mg/kg, i.p.) to rats resulted in a significant increase of the brain content of kynurenic acid. Similarly, 1 h after probenecid administration (200 mg/kg, i.p.), the brain content of kynurenate increased by fourfold, thus suggesting that its turnover rate is relatively fast.  相似文献

Acute and chronic lead (Pb) exposure might cause hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of early acute exposure to Pb on the cellular morphology, apoptosis, and proliferation in rats and to elucidate the early mechanisms involved in the development of Pb-induced hypertension. Very young Sprague-Dawley rats were allowed to drink 1% Pb acetate for 12 and 40 days. Western blot analysis indicated that the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) decreased in the tissues of the abdominal and thoracic aortas and increased in the cardiac tissue after 12 and 40 days of Pb exposure, respectively. Bax was upregulated and Bcl-2 was downregulated in vascular and cardiac tissues after 40 days of Pb exposure. In addition, an increase in caspase-3 activity was observed after 40 days of exposure to Pb. In terms of morphology, we found that the internal elastic lamina (IEL) of aorta lost the original curve and the diameter of cardiac cell was enlarged after 40 days. Furthermore, the exposure led to a marked increase in acetylated histone H3 levels in the aortas and cardiac tissue after 12 and 40 days, than that in the control group. These findings indicate that Pb might increase the level of histone acetylation and induce apoptosis in vascular and cardiac tissues. However, the mechanism involved need to be further investigated.  相似文献

Phospholipase A2 activity has been measured in membrane and cytosolic fractions from non-pregnant and pregnant guinea pig myometrium has been studied. Enzyme activity was measured with 1-stearoyl-2- [3H]arachidonoyl-phosphatidylcholine exhibiting Michaelis-Menton kinetics with Km of 83.8 +/- 21.6 and 53.2 +/- 14.1 for membrane and cytosolic enzymes respectively. Fractionation of the myometrium from non-pregnant guinea pigs suggested that 35% of the activity was membrane associated compared with 20% (P < 0.01) in tissue from pregnant animals. In the presence of 1 mM calcium total activity rose from 3.03 +/- 0.41 to 1737 +/- 368 nmol/h per uterus between non-pregnant and late pregnancy. Calcium activated the membrane enzyme, but the effect was greater late in pregnancy with almost a 6-fold increase in activity at 1 mM calcium compared with a doubling in membrane from non-pregnant guinea pigs. The K0.5 for calcium activation was about 150 microM. Immunoblotting with anti-human-110 KDa phospholipase A2 showed in guinea pig uterus a 34 KDa form of the enzyme that, consistent with changes in activity, showed a fifteen-fold increase in quantity between non-pregnant and late pregnancy. The data are consistent with dramatic increases in the capacity for arachidonic acid release and prostaglandin production in the guinea pig myometrium late in pregnancy.  相似文献

2-5A synthetase and binding protein activities in peritoneal macrophages have been compared between young (6 month) and old (22-24 month) guinea pigs. Enzyme activities are lower in aged animals with a 17% and a 31% reduction in synthetase and binding protein activities, respectively. In addition, the response to the addition of mouse fibroblast interferon by macrophages from these two age groups is also substantially different. Whereas addition of interferon to young guinea pig macrophages elicits a 3.8- and a 1.7-fold increase in the synthetase and binding protein activities, only a marginal elevation in these two enzyme activities is found with interferon-treated old guinea pig macrophages. Analysis by thin layer chromatography demonstrates a marked difference in the relative distribution of the various oligomeric forms of 2-5A synthesized by young or old guinea pig macrophages. The binding protein in old animals appears to be significantly more thermolabile than the corresponding activity from young animals. The altered response to interferon and the difference in enzymatic properties in aged animals may represent part of the mechanisms involved in the progressive loss of the adaptative ability of an organism to environmental changes during senescence.  相似文献

Prolactin (PRL) and alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH) are the only two pituitary hormones whose basal secretion is under tonic dopaminergic inhibition exerted by the hypothalamus. In the female rat, continuous exposure to estrogens is believed to depress hypothalamic dopaminergic activity and lead to the appearance of PRL-secreting pituitary adenomas during aging. Since there is no information about the impact of aging on circulating alpha-MSH levels, it was of interest to assess and compare the serum levels of PRL and alpha-MSH in male and female rats of different ages. Young (3-4 months) and old (24-25 months) male and female Sprague-Dawley rats as well as senescent (33-35 months) females were killed by decapitation between 10 AM and 1 PM, and pituitaries were immediately removed and dissected. Hormones were measured in unextracted trunk serum by radioimmunoassay. Serum PRL levels were (mean +/- SE), 18.4 +/- 2.0, 26.8 +/- 3.8, 19.8 +/- 2.5, 43.0 +/- 7.5, and 193.5 +/- 47.6 ng/ml for young and old males, and young, old, and senescent females, respectively. Serum alpha-MSH levels were 243.2 +/- 15.2, 252.9 +/- 24.8, 320.0 +/- 31.3, 234.7 +/- 19.1, and 374.0 +/- 29.7 pg/ml for young and old males, and young, old and senescent females, respectively. Anterior pituitary and neurointermediate lobe weights increased significantly with age in both sexes, although the change was particularly conspicuous in the females. We conclude that aging does not have a major impact on circulating alpha-MSH levels in rats and that melanotrophs probably have a greater ability than prolactotrophs to withstand age-associated alterations in central regulatory mechanisms.  相似文献

The lamina cribrosa in the eyes of rats, hamsters, gerbils and guinea pigs   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The scleral lamina cribrosa in the eyes of adult rats, hamsters, gerbils and guinea pigs was examined by ordinary histology and by scanning electron microscopy after soft tissue digestion. The complexity of the lamina, when mounted for scanning electron microscopy, was graded on a scale of 0 to 4.5 by three independent observers under X 60 magnification in a stereo microscope. The observers were unaware of the species and were offered the 44 specimens twice in random order. The average variance attributable to an observer was 22 +/- 3% (SE) of the total variance of the gradings. The rat eyes had the least developed lamina cribrosa, with only 1-2 layers of sparse connective tissue. The mean complexity grading of 12 rat eyes was 1.6 +/- 0.15. The lamina cribrosa of the eyes of gerbils and guinea pigs was much more developed with at least 3 layers of abundant connective tissue, the mean grades of complexity being 3.4 +/- 0.09 and 3.5 +/- 0.15, respectively, in 12 eyes of each species. The lamina cribrosa in the hamster eyes was somewhat more developed than that of the rat, but much less than that of the gerbil and guinea pig. The mean grade of complexity was 2.4 +/- 0.14 in 8 eyes. In 6 pairs of rat eyes there was no correlation in grade of laminar complexity between the two eyes of the same animal. The present study makes the rat eye a candidate for experiments where a possible influence of the lamina cribrosa as such is undesired.  相似文献

The effect of a progressive increase in right ventricular (RV) afterload was studied in pigs less than 24 h (group I) and 3-5 days old (group III). RV load was applied to increase mean pulmonary arterial pressure (Ppa) until right to left shunt was observed. Initially, pigs in group I had a significantly lower systemic arterial pressure (Psa = 63 +/- 2 vs. 82 +/- 5 mmHg) and higher Ppa (30 +/- 1 vs. 23 +/- 2 mmHg) even though the RV stroke work (RVSW) was similar (54.3 +/- 10.8 vs. 32.4 +/- 2.1 mmHg/ml) to group II. After a progressive rise in afterload, pigs in group I could maintain a higher RV stroke volume than those in group II (1.3 +/- 0.3 vs. 0.4 +/- 0.1 ml; P less than 0.05). At shunt condition, the RVSW was increased by 21 +/- 14% of the initial value in group I vs. a 32 +/- 8% decrease in group II (P less than 0.05). The ductus arteriosus was constricted and right-to-left shunt was observed in all animals at the foramen ovale level even though Ppa exceeded Psa before the rise in the right atrial pressure in group I. Thus, as RV afterload is increased in the pig, the older animals' right ventricle is progressively less capable of maintaining pulmonary blood flow than animals within 24 h of birth.  相似文献

The response of the epidermis was compared in two strains of pig, the English Large White and the G?ttinger Miniature, after irradiation with 90Sr beta rays. The effects of two types of anesthesia were also tested in pigs of each strain, a volatile gas mixture of approximately 70% oxygen, approximately 30% nitrous oxide, and 2% halothane, and an intravenously administered narcotic azaperon/etimodat with the animals breathing air. Strain- and anesthetic-related changes were compared on the basis of dose-effect curves for the incidence of moist desquamation from which ED50 values (+/- SE) were determined, i.e., the dose required to produce this effect in 50% of the fields irradiated. For English Large White pigs anesthetized with the volatile gas mixture, an ED50 of 27.32 +/- 0.52 Gy was obtained for moist desquamation. Irradiation with the azaperon/etomidat anesthesia in this strain of pig produced a significantly higher ED50 of 33.36 +/- 0.76 Gy (P less than 0.001). This appeared to be related to the fact that the animals were breathing air, i.e., a lower oxygen concentration (approximately 21%), at the time of irradiation. For the G?ttinger Miniature pig the ED50 values for moist desquamation were 38.93 +/- 3.12 Gy and 43.36 +/- 1.34 Gy while using the gaseous anesthetic mixture and the azaperon/etomidat anesthesia with the animals breathing air, respectively. These ED50 values are 10-11 Gy higher than those obtained for the English Large White pig under identical conditions of anesthesia, which resulted in a strain difference ratio of approximately 1.35. Radiation under the volatile gas mixture anesthesia resulted in a uniform irradiation response over the skin of the flank in both strains of pig. Radiation under azaperon/etomidat anesthesia resulted in a nonuniform skin response over the flank. The ED50 for moist desquamation was significantly higher in dorsal sites on the flank compared with the ventral area of English Large White pigs; a similar trend was seen in G?ttinger Miniature pigs. This difference in the radiosensitivity over the flank skin while the animals are under azaperon/etomidat anesthesia at the time of irradiation was associated with the animals breathing air and is in agreement with findings published previously for animals under halothane anesthesia and breathing air.  相似文献

Vasoactive intestinal polypeptide is a transmitter at the neuroepithelial junction of the small intestine in cholera toxin-induced secretion. We investigated whether the secretory effect in vitro of vasoactive intestinal polypeptide in porcine jejunum was changed with age. Stripped tissue preparations from three age groups, neonatal (7-11 days), young (6-8 weeks) and adult (13-15 weeks) pigs, were mounted in Ussing chambers and short-circuited. Vasoactive intestinal polypeptide produced concentration dependent increases in short-circuit current in all three age groups with EC50 values (in nM) of 14.5 +/- 1.9, 16.2 +/- 2.0 and 147 +/- 0 in neonatal, young and adult pigs, respectively. The peak increases in short-circuit current in adult pigs were significantly decreased compared with the other two age groups. To evaluate the secretory capacity, theophylline was added to tissue preparations in which baseline short-circuit current again was established. Theophylline caused a significantly lesser increase in short-circuit current in adult pigs (25.4 +/- 2.0 microA.cm-2) than neonatal (57.1 +/- 3.6 microA.cm-2) and young pigs (63.1 +/- 2.9 microA.cm-2). In conclusion, vasoactive intestinal polypeptide showed a marked decrease in the secretory response with age in porcine jejunum, at least partly caused by a reduced secretory capacity of the enterocytes.  相似文献

One-hundred-twenty prepubertal crossbred gilts (Hampshire x Duroc) x (Yorkshire x Landrace) were removed from the nursery at 68.7+/-0.4 days of age and 23.6+/-0.9 kg body weight and relocated to a conventional grower-finisher unit. In addition, 60 barrows of similar genetics were relocated from the nursery at 71.0+/-0.5 days of age and 27.4+/-0.5 kg body weight to the same building. Twelve mature anestrous ewes that weighed 77.0+/-2.4 kg were assigned randomly to one of four pens of equal dimensions among the pens containing pigs. Ewes were included in this study to serve as positive controls since their secretory profiles of melatonin are well characterized. All pigs were bled by jugular venipuncture at approximately 3, 4, 5 and 6 months of age. At each age in the pigs and the mature ewes, a single sample was obtained during photophase and scotophase. Illumination intensity during the period of incandescent lighting averaged 220 1x. Blood collection was initiated approximately 4 h after sunrise and 3.5-4 h after sunset. The proportion of animals that exhibited a nocturnal rise in melatonin (MEL) was similar (P > 0.05) between gilts and barrows, but was higher (P < 0.002) in ewes than in pigs at each age examined. A greater proportion (P = 0.007) of 3 month old barrows had a nocturnal rise of MEL than any other age of barrow. Similarly, there was a tendency (P = 0.06) for more 3 month old gilts to exhibit a nocturnal increase in serum MEL than 4, 5 or 6 month old gilts.  相似文献

In the present study, we measured fiber types and fiber diameters in canine respiratory muscles and examined regional variation within the diaphragm. Samples of eight diaphragm regions, internal intercostals, external intercostals, transversus abdominis, and triceps brachii were removed from eight adult mongrel dogs, frozen, and histochemically processed for standard fiber type and fiber diameter determinations. The respiratory muscles were composed of types I and IIa fibers; no IIb fibers were identified. Fiber composition differed between muscles (P less than 0.0001). Normal type I percent (+/- SE) were: diaphragm 46 +/- 2, external intercostal 85 +/- 6, internal intercostals 48 +/- 3, transversus abdominis 53 +/- 1, and triceps 33 +/- 7. The diaphragm also contained a type I subtype [6 +/- 1% (SE)] previously thought only to occur in developing muscle. Fiber composition varied between diaphragm regions (P less than 0.01). Most notably, left medial crus contained 64% type I fibers. Fiber size also varied systematically among muscles (P less than 0.025) and diaphragm regions (P less than 0.0005). External intercostal fiber diameter was largest (47-50 microns) and diaphragm was smallest (34 microns). Within diaphragm, crural fibers were larger than costal (P less than 0.05). We conclude that there are systematic differences in fiber composition and fiber diameter of the canine respiratory muscles.  相似文献
