The present study reports a cyclopeptide alkaloid, scutianine M, isolated from the methanolic root bark extract of Scutia buxifolia Reiss (Rhamnaceae) along with six known compounds, scutianines-B, -C, -D, -E, -F, and scutianene D. Its structure was established on the basis of spectroscopic analyses, including application of 2D NMR spectroscopic techniques. As part of a study of the bioactive compounds of medicinal plants from southern Brazil, we also compared the antimicrobial activity of the isolated compounds towards Gram (+), Gram (-) bacteria, and yeasts.  相似文献

Scutianene E (1), 3,4,28-tris-epi-scutiaene E (2), 28-epi-scutianene E (3) and scutianene L (4), four neutral cyclopeptide alkaloids, were isolated from Scutia buxifolia Reiss, together with four known cyclopeptide alkaloids, scutianines B, C, D and E. Scutianenes 1-3 are diastereoisomeric compounds, with 3-hydroxyleucine as a β-hydroxy amino acid unit, which is connected to the styryl fragment via an ether bridge, β-phenylserine, as a common ring-bonded amino acid residue. Attached to the amino group of β-hydroxyamino acid is a side chain [trans-CH = CH-Ph]. The structures of the peptides were elucidated by means of spectroscopic analysis, including extensive 2D NMR studies. The stereochemistry for the diastereomeric 3,4,28-tris-epi-scutiaene E and 28-epi-scutianene E was confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis of their O-acetyl derivatives.  相似文献

Investigation of the MeOH extract obtained from the root of the Ziziphus mauritiana grown in Thailand resulted in the isolation of two 14- and 13-membered cyclic alkaloids, mauritine L (1) and mauritine M (2), and three known cyclopeptide alkaloids, nummularines H (3), B (4) and hemsine A (5). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive NMR spectroscopic analysis. The first single crystal X-ray diffraction study of the 13-membered ring cyclopeptide, nummularine B methiodide (4′), revealed all S configurations on the amino acid residues. The isolated alkaloids exhibited potent antiplasmodial activity against the parasite Plasmodium falciparum with the inhibitory concentration (IC50) ranging from 3.7 to 10.3 μM. Compounds 2 and 3 also demonstrated antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis with the MIC of 72.8 and 4.5 μM, respectively.  相似文献

The isolation and structure determination of cyclic peptide alkaloids, discarine-M and discarine-N, along with seven known cyclic peptide alkaloids, adouetine-Y', franganine, frangulanine, discarines-A, -B, -C, and -D from the root bark of Discaria americana are described. Structures were determined spectroscopically, especially using 2D NMR spectroscopic analysis. The crude methanol extract, the basic ether extract, and the alkaloids 6 and 7 also weakly inhibited growth of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.  相似文献

From the bark of Zizyphus sativa, previously undescribed cyclopeptide alkaloid, sativanine-F has been isolated. The structure was deduced by spectroscopic methods and chemical degradation. It is a 13-membered cyclopeptide alkaloid and provides the first example of such a naturally occurring N-formyl cyclopeptide alkaloid.  相似文献

From the bark of Zizyphus sativa, in addition to already described cyclopeptide alkaloids, two new compounds of this class, sativanine-A(1) and sativanine-B(2), were isolated. Both alkaloids contain 14-membered ring systems. 1 belongs to the integerrine type, while 2 is similar to nummularine-G, with an additional ring in the side chain.  相似文献

Acridone alkaloids, cycloatalaphylline-A (1), N-methylcyclo-atalaphylline-A (2) and N-methylbuxifoliadine-E (3), were isolated from the dichloromethane and acetone extracts of the root of Atalantia monophylla along with eight known acridone alkaloids: buxifoliadine-A (4), buxifoliadine-E (5), N-methylatalaphylline (6), atalaphylline (7), citrusinine-I (8), N-methylataphyllinine (9), yukocitrine (10) and junosine (11) and two known coumarins: auraptene (12) and 7-O-geranylscopoletin (13). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. Compounds 2, 5 and 8 possessed appreciable anti-allergic activity in RBL-2H3 cells model with IC(50) values of 40.1, 6.1 and 18.7 microM, respectively.  相似文献

Two new indole alkaloids, bisnicalaterine D (1), consisting of an eburnane and a corynanthe type of skeletons, and nicalaterine A (2) were isolated from the bark of Hunteria zeylanica. Their structures were elucidated by various spectroscopic data such as NMR and CD spectra. A phytochemical investigation of the stems of Waltheria douradinha resulted in isolation of two 4-quinolone alkaloids, waltherione B and vanessine, along with three known alkaloids, waltherione A, antidesmone and O-methyltembamide. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of their 2D NMR spectroscopic analyses, and from X-ray crystallographic analysis of waltherione A and the O-methyl derivative of waltherione B. Additionally, waltherione B and vanessine, and the O- and N-methyl derivatives of waltherione A and waltherione B, were evaluated for their antimicrobial activities; only vanessine displayed any (weak) antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

In the course of our search for new antiplasmodial alkaloids from Strychnos icaja, we have isolated five alkaloids: three monomers, protostrychnine and genostrychnine, previously described in Strychnos nux-vomica, pseudostrychnine, already found in the leaves of the plant, a new bisindolic alkaloid, named strychnogucine C, and the first naturally occurring trimeric indolomonoterpenic alkaloid: strychnohexamine. This latter trimeric alkaloid presented an antiplasmodial activity against the FCA Plasmodium falciparum line near 1 microM.  相似文献
