Distribution of cadmium and lead in a stream ecosystem   总被引:1,自引:3,他引:1  
Cadmium and lead were detected in all components of the stream that were examined. Cadmium was present in similar concentrations in both fishes and sediments. Aquatic insects, however, exhibited higher concentrations of cadmium than did sediments. Lead concentrations in sediments and aquatic insects were similar, but higher than concentrations in fishes. Snails contained the highest level of lead and had noticeably greater amounts of the metal than did aquatic insects. In general, concentrations of both metals increased successively from water to fish to sediments to aquatic invertebrates.  相似文献

Fulvic, humic, acetic, N-bulyric, formic, lactic, and propionic acids were inhibitory to the survival or reproduction of Aphelenchus avenae, Aphelenchoides goodeyi, Helicotylenchus pseudorobustus, Meloidogyne hapla or Xiphinema americanum. Reproduction of H. pseudorobustus and M. hapla significantly increased with increasing amounts of muck added to sand, and with the initial amount of nematode inoculum. All acids except humic and fulvic were lethal, in vitro, to all nematode species tested. When A. goodeyi was treated with fulvic acid, reproduction was reduced significantly when compared with sodium humate or water treatments. Treatment of H. pseudorobustus with fulvic acid (pH 3.5) resulted in a greater reduction in reproduction in soil than did treatment with humic acid (pH 3.5).  相似文献

Maternal mammalian toxicity impacts prenatal development, with general systemic maternal toxicity, from reduced weight gain to morbidity, causative for reduced fetal weights/litter and increased fetal variations (especially skeletal)/litter, but not, in the author's opinion, for increased fetal malformations, reduced litter sizes or full litter losses. Increased fetal malformations are likely due to exposure to specific chemicals which alter specific maternal functions at critical point(s) in pregnancy, typically exaggerated effects from higher doses by drugs under development with known, desired pharmacological effects. Malformations can also be from genetic/epigenetic alterations, specific altered proteins, molecular pathways, etc. Full litter losses are triggered by the mother and are rare in rats. Information to inform maternal (and developmental) toxicity includes ovarian corpora lutea counts, uterine implantation profile, degree of litter reduction (if present), timing and extent of maternal toxicity relative to those of adverse embryofetal effects, etc. The view of maternal toxicity as confounding results in in vivo developmental toxicity studies, worldwide concerns about increased research animal usage, increasing time, labor, costs, and new software and hardware sophistication all drive the interest in development, validation, and performance of in vitro/in silico assays. These assays are fast, inexpensive, responsive to animal use concerns and amenable to mechanistic questions. The strength of these in vitro/in silico assays is considered by many to be the absence of the maternal organism/placenta. These assays inform mechanism and hazard, but NOT risk. The Environmental Protection Agency currently estimates that these new assays are approximately 70% accurate versus the whole animal tests.  相似文献

Studies in rodents have shown that, during pregnancy, maternal stress from restraint, noise, light, and heat among other factors may be associated with adverse effects on embryo/fetal and postnatal development. Moreover, it is also well known that exposure to certain metal levels during gestation can also cause maternal and developmental toxicity. Because potentially, pregnant women may be concurrently exposed to metals and various types of stress, the influence of maternal stress on the metal-induced adverse pre-and postnatal effects has been investigated for a number of elements. This influence is reviewed here. It is concluded that maternal stress enhances the metal-induced embryo/fetal and developmental toxicity only at doses of the metal which are also clearly toxic to the dam.  相似文献

本文参照美国国家环保局推荐的“推导保护水生生物及其用途的国家水质基准的技术指南”,根据我国水生生物区系特点,通过水生生物毒性试验研究和制定石油化工废水中重要污染物—乙腈的水生态基准。试验动物涉及到4个门、6个纲、8个科、13属和13个种。文中根据乙腈对13种水生动物的急性毒性试验,对水生动物的慢性毒性试验以及对水生植物浮萍的生长抑制试验,推导出乙腈的基准连续浓度为413mg/L,基准最大浓度为1145mg/L。  相似文献

本文采用换水式试验研究了五氨酚溞(PCP)对大型(Daphniamagna)的急性、亚慢性和慢性毒性,稀释水硬度为80─100mg/L(以CaCO3计)。急性和慢性试验均使用小于一日龄的幼溞,试验温度为25─26℃,慢性试验进行了20d。用小于一日龄幼溞进行的亚慢性试验暴露了19d,而用四日龄幼溞的亚慢性试验则进行了16d,水温均保持在19─20℃。PCP对大型溞的24h和48hEC50分别是489和245μg/L。依据第1胎所产幼溞数求得的最低可观察效应浓度(LOEC)和无可观察效应浓度(NOEC),在慢性试验中分别是160和80μg/L,在19d亚慢性试验中分别为200和100μg/L,二者相近。试验结果表明,第1胎所产幼溞数是敏感的指标。  相似文献

目的 研究放线菌属产生的阿凡曼菌素 B1 的衍生物伊维菌素( Iverm ectin) 搽剂皮肤用药的急性和长期毒性作用。方法 观察给予正常皮肤和破损皮肤动物一次性或长期经皮给药产生的毒性反应。结果 以267m g/kg 大剂量的伊维菌素经皮给药 24h 后出现震颤、运动失调等中毒症状, 72h 后症状消失; 以100m g/kg 经皮给药 45 天后无明显的毒性。结论 大剂量 (267 m g/kg) 的伊维菌素经破损皮肤给药可致动物急性中毒, 较大剂量 (100 m g/kg) 长期皮肤用药无明显的毒性作用。  相似文献

Although monomeric Al species are often toxic in acidic soils, the effects of the aluminate ion (Al(OH) 4 ) on roots grown in alkaline media are still unclear. Dilute, alkaline (pH 9.5) nutrient solutions were used to investigate the effects of Al(OH) 4 on root growth of mungbean (Vigna radiata L.). Root growth was reduced by 13% after 3 d growth in solutions with an Al(OH) 4 activity of 16 μM and no detectable polycationic Al (Al13). This decrease in root growth was associated with the formation of lesions on the root tips (due to the rupturing of the epidermal and outer cortical cells) and a slight limitation to root hair growth (particularly on the lateral roots). When roots displaying these symptoms were transferred to fresh Al(OH) 4 solutions for a further 12 h, no root tip lesions were observed and root hair growth on the lateral roots improved. The symptoms were similar to those induced by Al13 at concentrations as low as 0.50 μM Al which are below the detection limit of the ferron method. Thus, Al(OH) 4 is considered to be non-toxic, with the observed reduction in root growth in solutions containing Al(OH) 4 due to the gradual formation of toxic Al13 in the bulk nutrient solution resulting from the acidification of the alkaline nutrient solution by the plant roots.  相似文献

In this study, histopathological and biochemical changes due to chronic usage of morphine or tramadol in liver and kidney were assessed in rats. Thirty male Wistar rats (180–220 g) were included and divided into three groups. Normal saline (1 ml) was given intraperitoneally as placebo in the control group (n = 10). Morphine group (n = 10) received morphine intraperitoneally at a dose of 4, 8, 10 mg/kg/day in the first, second and the third ten days of the study, respectively. Tramadol group (n = 10), received the drug intraperitoneally at doses of 20, 40 and 80 mg/kg/day in the first, second and the third ten days of the study, respectively. Aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), creatinin, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were measured in the serum. Liver and kidney specimens were evaluated by light microscopy. Serum ALT, AST, LDH, BUN and creatinin levels were significantly higher in morphine group compared to the control group. Serum LDH, BUN and creatinin levels were significantly increased in the morphine group compared to the tramadol group. The mean MDA level was significantly higher in morphine group compared to the tramadol and control groups (P<0.05). Light microscopy revealed severe centrolobular congestion and focal necrosis in the liver of morphine and tramadol groups, but perivenular necrosis was present only in the morphine group. The main histopathologic finding was vacuolization in tubular cells in morphine and tramadol groups. Our findings pointed out the risk of increased lipid peroxidation, hepatic and renal damage due to long term use of opioids, especially morphine. 目的 研究眼镜蛇神经毒素 ( Cobra neurotoxin, N T) 的急性毒性和蓄积毒性。方法 测 N T 对小鼠的 L D50 ; 对大鼠、狗的1 次性最小中毒剂量和最大安全剂量; 计算 N T 在小鼠、狗体内的24h 蓄积率。结果  N T 经静注、肌注、腹腔、皮下 4 种途径给药对小鼠的 L D50 分别是 (195±95) μg/kg、(156±85) μg/kg、(151±19) μg/kg、(184±85) μg/kg, 对小鼠的最小致死剂量为975μg/kg。 N T 对大鼠、狗的1 次性中毒剂量分别为54μg/kg 和34μg/kg。对小鼠、大鼠和狗的安全剂量分别为815μg/kg、42μg/kg和30μg/kg, 分别约为人临床用剂量 (70μg/50kg·d- 1 ) 的582、30 和21 倍。 N T 在小鼠、狗体内的24h蓄积率分别为 57% 和30% 以上。结论  N T 在使动物中毒的剂量下有广泛的安全范围; N T 在动物体内存在弱蓄积毒性。  相似文献

Ironcadmium interactions are important in cadmium toxicity. Dietary iron supplements may decrease cadmium retention after oral cadmium exposure but the underlying mechanism is not known. Using a CdS/AgS ion selective electrode to measure [Cd2+] in physiological saline solution at pH 7.4, we show that Fe2+ promotes Cd2+ binding to citrate thereby decreasing the availability of free Cd2+. This suggests the formation of high molecular weight Cd2+Fe2+citrate complexes. We confirm this suggestion by showing that 109Cd2+ is retained by 1 kDa cut off filters when present with total 50 M Fe2+ plus 1 mM citrate but not when present with citrate alone. The formation of high molecular weight complexes may prevent Cd2+ absorption. As citrate is part of the diet, we suggest that these ironcadmium interactions may contribute to the protective effect of iron against cadmium toxicity.  相似文献

由于工业活动的影响,墨西哥水体环境中的重金属浓度在上升.浮游动物,尤其是轮虫类,由于对环境变化十分敏感而且是淡水中的常见组成部分,因此被广泛用于生态毒理试验以确定水质标准.在不同的胁迫途径下(如通过培养基或食料),重金属的毒性是不同的.在本研究中,通过在轮虫Brachionus rubens的培养基和食料中添加重金属这两种途径,我们评估了镉和铅的效应.对于这两种重金属,均采用将轮虫置于含0.5×106个/ml绿藻的培养基中或每天喂食经5倍于LC50值的金属处理(1,2和4h)的绿藻.对于在培养基中添加镉,使用了三个毒性水平(0.1,0.2和0.4 mg/L),铅的浓度分别为0.005,0.010 和0.015 mg/L.基于LC50的数据,B.rubens对铅的敏感性要比镉高24倍.镉浓度为0.4 mg/L时,培养基中加入镉造成B.rubens的生长趋缓.而喂食经不同时间处理的绿藻后,轮虫的密度随着食料在重金属中处理时间的延长而减小.培养基中或食料中添加铅时,轮虫种群生长的的趋势与在镉处理下的情况类似.随着培养基中重金属浓度的增加,每天种群增长率(r值)会减小.在培养基和食料处理两种不同途径下,r值会在0.33(对照)到0.02 d-1(经重金属处理)间变化[动物学报 51(1)46-52,2005].  相似文献

蜂巢小甲虫Aethina tumida是一种新入侵为害蜜蜂蜂巢的危险性害虫,筛选出具有较高毒力水平的化学药剂防治该虫迫在眉睫。本文采用浸渍法测定了10种杀虫剂对蜂巢小甲虫幼虫的毒力。试验结果表明,10 mg/L高效氯氰菊酯、啶虫脒和功夫菊酯在24 h内对蜂巢小甲虫幼虫的致死率达到36.67%、33.33%和29.39%,而10 mg/L高效氯氰菊酯和功夫菊酯在48 h对蜂巢小甲虫幼虫的致死率均达到100%。啶虫脒、高效氯氰菊酯和功夫菊酯在24 h的LC_(50)分别为10.47 mg/L、16.94 mg/L和19.1 mg/L。其它受试的杀虫剂如多杀菌素、氟虫腈、氟啶脲、虫酰肼、敌百虫、阿维菌素和甲维盐的触杀致死率相对较低。筛选结果显示,啶虫脒、高效氯氰菊酯和功夫菊酯可作为目前防治蜂巢小甲虫的的重要参考防治药剂。  相似文献

采用发光细菌法对蔗渣浆CEH三段漂白废水进行了毒性研究 ,其中C段废水的毒性最大 ,其EC50 为 2 8.83% ,属于强毒级别 ;E段、H段废水的EC50 分别为 6 8.92 %、2 6 7.9% ,分别属于毒、无毒级别 ;其中C段的毒性排放负荷约占总废水毒性排放负荷的 6 7.5 %左右 ;结果表明 ,漂白废水的毒性排放负荷较大 ,约为 4 2 3.92 (TU·m3 吨浆 ) ,相当于 4 2 .93(gHgCl2 吨浆 ) ,对其治理不容忽视  相似文献

为明确生物杀虫剂多杀霉素及其3种混剂对蜜蜂和赤眼蜂Trichogrammatid spp的毒性,采用摄入法、接触法和药膜法分别测定4种制剂对意大利工蜂Apis mellifera L成蜂和玉米螟赤眼蜂Trichogramma ostriniae成峰的毒性。结果表明:摄入法测定,25 g/L多杀霉素悬浮剂、4%阿维菌素·多杀霉素水乳剂、3%甲阿维·多杀霉素悬浮剂、6%甲阿维·多杀霉素水分散粒剂,对蜜蜂半致死浓度LC50(48 h)分别为593、145×10-1、304×10-1、466×10-1 aimg/L。25 g/L多杀霉素悬浮剂对蜜蜂摄入毒性为高毒,其余为剧毒;接触法测定,4种制剂半致死剂量LD50(48 h)分别为00887、0289、00046、00053 aiμg/蜂,对蜜蜂的接触毒性均为高毒;药膜法测定,4种制剂对玉米螟赤眼蜂成蜂的半致死浓度LC50(24 h)分别为012、0097、022、033 aimg/L,安全性评价结果表明,4种制剂对玉米螟赤眼蜂成蜂均为极高风险性。  相似文献

Epoxiconazole, a triazole‐based fungicide, was tested in toxicokinetic, prenatal and pre‐postnatal toxicity studies in guinea pigs, following oral (gavage) administration at several dose levels (high dose: 90 mg/kg body weight per day). Maternal toxicity was evidenced by slightly increased abortion rates and by histopathological changes in adrenal glands, suggesting maternal stress. No compound‐related increase in the incidence of malformations or variations was observed in the prenatal study. In the pre‐postnatal study, epoxiconazole did not adversely affect gestation length, parturition, or postnatal growth and development. Administration of epoxiconazole did not alter circulating estradiol levels. Histopathological examination of the placentas did not reveal compound‐related effects. The results in guinea pigs are strikingly different to those observed in pregnant rats, in which maternal estrogen depletion, pathological alteration of placentas, increased gestation length, late fetal death, and dystocia were observed after administration of epoxiconazole. In the studies reported here, analysis of maternal plasma concentrations and metabolism after administration of radiolabeled epoxiconazole demonstrated that the different results in rats and guinea pigs were not due to different exposures of the animals. A comprehensive comparison of hormonal regulation of pregnancy and birth in murid rodents and primates indicates that the effects on pregnancy and parturition observed in rats are not applicable to humans. In contrast, the pregnant guinea pig shares many similarities to pregnant humans regarding hormonal regulation and is therefore considered to be a suitable species for extrapolation of related effects to humans. Eleven monoterpenes, phenylpropenes and sesquiterpenes were evaluated for their insecticidal and growth inhibitory activities against the second and fourth larval instars of Spodoptera littoralis. Among the tested compounds, 1,8-cineole revealed the highest fumigant toxicity against the 2nd and 4th larval instars with LC50 values of 2.32 and 3.13 mg/L air, respectively. The monoterpenes, p-cymene, α-terpinene, (−)α-pinene and (−)-carvone were highly toxic to both larval stages as their LC50 values ranged between 7.35 and 13.79 mg/L air against 2nd larval instar and between 14.66 and 32.02 mg/L air against 4th larval instar. In topical application assay against the 4th larval instar, (−)-carvone (LD50 = 0.15 mg/larva) and cuminaldehyde (LD50 = 0.27 mg/larva) were the most potent contact toxicants. In residual film assay, trans-cinnamaldehyde, (−)-citronellal and p-cymene showed the highest insecticidal activity against the 2nd larval instar, while α-terpinene and (−)-carvone were most effective compounds against the 4th larval instar. Moreover, the tested compounds caused strong growth reduction of both larval stages with growth inhibition higher than 80% in the 2nd larval instar and higher than 70% in the 4th larval instar. On the other hand, (−)-carvone, cuminaldehyde and (Z,E)-nerolidol showed pronounced inhibitory effects on acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and adenosine triphosphatases (ATPases) activity of S. littoralis larvae. Cuminaldehyde (IC50 = 1.04 mM) and (Z,E)-nerolidol (IC50 = 0.02 mM) caused the highest inhibition of AChE and ATPases, respectively. Taken together, the results indicate that monoterpenes, phenylpropenes and phenylpropenes could be used to develop new botanical insecticides for S. littoralis management.  相似文献

Bean plants (Phaseolus vulgaris) were very sensitive to moderate concentrations of NaCl, showing a dramatic decrease in their K+ content in the presence of this salt. Increasing the KCl content of the nutrient medium released the inhibitory effect of NaCl by increasing the K+ content of the plants. Likewise moderate concentrations of KCl were toxic for bean plants because they produced a large K+ loading. NaCl partially released this toxicity by inhibiting the K+ loading. When compared to the moderately salt tolerant sunflower plants (Helianthus annuus), bean plants showed a lower capacity to discriminate between K+ and Na+, at high Na+ levels, and an uncontrolled K+ uptake at moderate concentrations of K+. It is concluded that this low capacity of discrimination of the K+ uptake system of bean plants in presence of Na+ can account for by the NaCl sensitivity of bean plants.  相似文献

清镇市化工厂是贵州省东门桥河汞污染的重要来源。为了评估这条河流的汞污染程度,本研究调查了东门桥河环境样品中的汞含量和分布情况。河流水体总汞(THg)和甲基汞(MeHg)的平均含量分别为(135.79±47.40)和(0.64±0.58)ng·L-1;生物膜中THg和MeHg的平均含量分别为(3.38±1.91)mg·kg-1和(10.47±0.40)μg·kg^-1;沉积物中THg和MeHg的平均含量分别为(23.21±20.22)mg·kg-1和(32.74±10.96)μg·kg^-1。为了进一步了解这条河流中汞对水生生物的风险,将青鳉鱼胚胎和仔鱼分别暴露于从河中收集的被汞污染的河水、生物膜和沉积物中。青鳉鱼胚胎经15 d暴露后,孵化时间延长、孵化率显著降低,死亡率显著升高,实验暴露还导致胚胎无法破膜、卵黄囊水肿等畸形效应,以及初孵仔鱼不同程度的畸形。青鳉鱼仔鱼经24、48、96 h和21 d暴露后,各暴露组的死亡率和畸形率随着暴露时间的延长而显著升高,且表现出一系列以脊柱弯曲为主的畸形效应。研究表明,东门桥河的汞污染会严重影响青鳉鱼的早期生长发育。  相似文献
