Sensitivity of the tularemia causative agent of different geographical races to antibiotics such as streptomycin, tetracycline, gentamicin, rifampicin (20 strains), ampicillin, polymyxin M, erythromycin, oleandomycin (361 strains) and lincomycin (294 strains) was studied. High sensitivity of the tularemi a microbe to streptomycin, tetracycline, rifampicin (MIC of 10 gamma/ml), gentamicin (MIC of 1 gamma/ml) and resistance to 50 gamma of ampicillin and 1000 gamma/ml of polymyxin M were found. Combined use of 50 gamma of ampicillin and 100 gamma/ml of polymyxin M added to the nutrient medium for growth inhibition of the foreign flora on isolation of the tularemia causative agent from the infected material including stable laboratory animal carcases was recommended. Marked differences in sensitivity of the strains of different geographical races to the macrolides and lincomycin were observed. The strains of the non-Arctic and Central Asiatic races were of low resistance to the above drugs (the MIC of erythromycin, oleandomycin and lincomycin were 10--50, 50--400 and 25--100 gamma/ml respectively. Within the holarctic race 40 per cent were low resistant and 60 per cent were highly resistant to these drugs. The above drugs should not be used for treatment of tularemia cases.  相似文献

Reaction of the strains of the tularemia causative agent to erythromycin (100 gamma/ml) or oleandomycin (400 gamma/ml) is one of the taxonomic tests. The study of 82 strains of the holarctic race and 63 strains of the Central Asiatic race according to this test showed that the strains of the holarctic race were divided with respect to these macrolides into sensitive (biotype I) and resistant (biotype II). The strains of the both races were isolated at the territory of the Kazakh SSR. Such a reaction of the strains of the holarctic race is a stable feature and is not connected with virulence, the isolation source and the biochemical properties of the strains. Division of the holarctic race into the biotypes (I and II) with respect to erythromycin and oleandomycin may be of definite significance in epidemiological and epizootological examination for tularemia with a purpose of determining the source of the infection, as well as in defining the borders of the infection focus area with circulation of this or that biotype of the holarctic race of the tularemia causative agent.  相似文献

The wine yeasts Cheres were not sensitive to high concentration (500 gamma/ml) of benzylpenicillin, streptomycin, tetracycline, oxytetracycline, chlortetracycline, morphocycline, erythromycin, oleandomycin, monomycin, neomycin, kanamycin, polymyxin, ampicillin, oxacillin, methicillin, ceporin, ristomycin, levomycetin, furadonin and furazolidone. In concentrations of 50 to 500 gamma-ml oleadomycin, chlortetracycline, oxytetracycline, kanamycin and ristomycin inhibited synthesis of the Cheres yeast biomass. Benzylpenicillin, polymyxin, neomycin and ampicillin in concentrations of 50 to 100 gamma/ml had a stimulating effect on the yeast biomass synthesis.  相似文献

By the sensitivity levels of the gas infection causative agents, i. e. pathogenic Clostridia to antibiotics, the latter were conditionally divided into 4 groups. The 1st group included the most active antibiotics, such as tetracyclines,, penicillins, cephalosporins, rifampicin, 7-chlor-7-desoxylincomycin. Their minimum inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations did not usually exceed 2 gamma/ml. For most of the strains the inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations amounted to the tenth and hundredth fractions of gamma/ml. The antibiotics of the 2nd group, i. e. erythromycin, lincomycin, ristomycin and levomycetin inhibited multiplication and viability of pathogenic Clostridia in concentrations of 20 gamma/ml. Erythromycin was most active among them The 3rd group consisted of oleandomycin, novobiocin, geliomycin and azalomycin, the minimum inhibitory concentrations of them being 20 to 50 gamma/ml. The antibiotics of the 4th group, i. e. neomycin, monomycin, kanamycin, streptomycin, polymyxin and others affected pathogenic Clostridia at very high concentrations, amounting to the hundrenth and thousandth of gamma/ml.  相似文献

Bacteriological analysis of sputum of 598 children with acute pneumonia was performed. Sensivity of 1348 cultures belonging to 8 bacterial species with respect to benzylpenicillin, streptomycin, chloramphenicol, tetracycline, oxytetracycline, chlortetracycline, erythromycin, oleandomycin, neomycin and monomycin was determined. It was shown that the sputum microflora was often resistant to the antibiotics widely used in the medical practice for prolonged periods of time, such as benzylpenicillin, streptomycin, chloramphenicol, tetracyclines. However, it usually remained sunsitive to neomycin, monomycin, erythromycin and oleandomycin. It was found that antibioticogrammes defining the antibiotic choice were of great significance for therapy of acute pneumonia.  相似文献

The activity of erythromycin, azithromycin, clarithromycin, dirithromycin, oleandomycin, roxithromycin, spiramycin and josamycin against 21 and 34 B. pertussis strains and against 6 and 8 B. parapertussis strains isolated respectively in the years 1968 and 1997-99 was examined. The antibiotic agar dilution method was used. The minimum concentration of macrolides which inhibited growth of B. pertussis and B. parapertussis was calculated for 50% (MIC50) and 90% (MIC90) of isolates. The susceptibility to macrolides of B. pertussis and B. parapertussis strains isolated in the years 1968 and 1997-99 did not differ significantly. The MIC90 values of erythromycin were the same for B. pertussis (MIC90 = 0.125 mg/l) and B. parapertussis strains (MIC90 = 0.25 mg/l) recovered in 1968 as for those recovered in the years 1997-99. The most active antibiotic against all strains was azithromycin (MIC90 = 0.06 mg/l). The least active antibiotics were oleandomycin (MIC90 = 2-4 mg/l) and spiramycin (MIC90 = 8 mg/l). The study showed that erythromycin remains the antibiotic of choice for treatment of whooping cough and in case of emergence of B. pertussis and/or B. parapertussis strains erythromycin resistant, can be replaced by azithromycin.  相似文献

Influence of pH, temperature and oleandomycin concentration on distribution of the antibiotic in the methylene chloride-aqueous medium system was studied. It was shown that the oleandomycin distribution coefficient did not depend on the antibiotic concentration within the ranges of 2000 to 20,000 micrograms/ml. An equation defining relationship between the oleandomycin distribution coefficient and pH of the aqueous phase is presented.  相似文献

Sensitivity of L-forms of group A streptococci to 5 antibiotics such as erythromycin, lincomycin, tetracycline, gentamicin and chloramphenicol was studied in an artificial nutrient medium and cell cultures i.e. human fibroblast diploid cells and transplantable human heart cells (Girardi). In vitro investigation of the antibiotic effect on the streptococcal L-forms revealed their sensitivity to erythromycin (MIC, 0.4 micrograms/ml), lincomycin (MIC, 0.08 microgram/ml) and tetracycline (MIC, 2 micrograms/ml). The streptococcal L-forms were slightly sensitive to gentamicin (MIC, 6 micrograms/ml) and chloramphenicol (MIC, 30 micrograms/ml). Complete inhibition of the growth of the L-forms in the Girardi cells on the 1st day of the experiment after the antibiotics administration in single doses was induced by lincomycin, 5 micrograms/ml, erythromycin, 10 micrograms/ml, and tetracycline, 100 micrograms/ml. In the diploid cells, the respective figures were 50, 100 and 200 micrograms/ml. Chloramphenicol and gentamicin had an inhibitory effect on the growth of the L-forms but produced no sanative effect.  相似文献

According to an epidemiological survey of drug resistance in Staphylococcus aureus, it was found that there are three types of cross-resistance to macrolide antibiotics (EM, erythromycin: OM, oleandomycin: LM, leucomycin: SP, spiramycin), i.e., resistance to EM, OM, LM, and SP, to EM and OM, and inducible resistance to “EM, OM”. In the inducible strains of S. aureus, EM and OM are active inducers, and the optimal concentrations of the inducers are 0.1 μg/ml and 1.0 μg/ml, respectively. The induction of high resistance (800 μg/ml or more) to both EM and OM occurred within 10 min exposure to 0.1 μg/ml of EM, and the resistance of induced cells was lost after overnight growth in the absence of inducer. After 1 to 3 hr exposure to 1.0 μg/ml of OM, the inducible strains acquired high resistance (100 μg/ml or more) to EM and to a lesser extent, resistance to OM, and the acquired resistance was lost when grown in antibiotic free media. When a known concentration of EM was mixed with the induced cells or with a crude extract from induced cells which had acquired high resistance to EM and OM, the antibiotic activity of EM was still retained in the mixture, indicating that the induced mixture or the extract from the induced cells was incapable of antibiotic (EM) inactivation under the test conditions.  相似文献

The possibility of using available dry nutrient media Nos. 5 to 12 in assays of antibiotic biological activity with the agar diffusions method was studied with respect to benzylpenicillin, gramicidin S, kanamycin sulfate, kanamycin B, oleandomycin, novobiocin, tetracycline and erythromycin. The dry media were used instead of the respective media prepared with meat hydrolyzate. Optimal conditions of the assays on such media were determined.  相似文献

Cell extracts of Streptomyces antibioticus, an oleandomycin producer, can inactivate oleandomycin in the presence of UDP-glucose. The inactivation can be detected through the loss of biological activity or by alteration in the chromatographic mobility of the antibiotic. This enzyme activity also inactivates other macrolides (rosaramicin, methymycin, and lankamycin) which contain a free 2'-OH group in a monosaccharide linked to the lactone ring (with the exception of erythromycin), but not those which contain a disaccharide (tylosin, spiramycin, carbomycin, josamycin, niddamycin, and relomycin). Interestingly, the culture supernatant contains another enzyme activity capable of reactivating the glycosylated oleandomycin and regenerating the biological activity through the release of a glucose molecule. It is proposed that these two enzyme activities could be an integral part of the oleandomycin biosynthetic pathway.  相似文献

The data on antibiotic sensitivity of 38 strains of S. pneumoniae isolated from children and 46 strains isolated from carriers are presented. The isolates from the carriers had significantly higher sensitivity to benzylpenicillin, ampicillin, methicillin, oxacillin, cefazolin, erythromycin, oleandomycin and lincomycin. Resistance to gentamicin was more frequent in the strains isolated from the carriers. Among the strains of S. pneumoniae isolated from the patients and carriers representatives of serovar K19 were more frequent. There were no statistically reliable difference in them by sensitivity to benzylpenicillin, ampicillin, cefazolin, lincomycin and rifampicin. Still, the isolates from the carriers were much more sensitive to methicillin, oxacillin, oleandomycin and erythromycin.  相似文献

The effect of antibiotics was estimated by inhibition of the protein increase in the broth culture of Staph, aureus during incubation at a temperature of 37 degrees for 18 hours. In some experiments preincubation of the antibiotic solutions with the vitamins for 2 hours at light and in dark was used. The antibiotic concentrations in gamma per 1 ml were equal to those of the vitamins. In the experiments with tetracycline and 2-hour preincubation at light the antibiotic in a concentration of 0.1gamma ml inhibited for certain the protein increase by 58.9%, in combination with thiamin it inhibited the protein by 60 per cent and in combination with ascorbic acid by 59%. Riboflavin lowered the activity of tetracycline to a value not differing for certain from the control one. In the experiments with preincubation in dark tetracycline inhibited the protein increase by 55.2%, in combination with thiamin it inhibited the protein increase by 50.5%, in combination with riboflavin by 53% and in combination with ascorbic acid by 57.2%. Erythromycin in a concentration of 0.03gamma/ml when preincubated at light inhibited the protein increase by 48.8% and in combinations with thiamin, riboflavin or ascorbic acid by 23, 27, 47.2% respectively. When preincubated in the darkness erythromycin alone inhibited the protein increase by 47.8% and in combinations with thiamin, riboflavin or ascorbic acid by 32.5, 51.1 or 49.8% respectively. The above vitamins has no effect on levomycetin activity.  相似文献

Furacillin in combination with such antibiotics as tetracycline, levomycetin or neomycin inhibited the synthesis of proteins in the cells of NAG-vibrios. Combination of 8 gamma/ml of furacillin and 0.125 gamma/ml of tetracycline inhibited the protein synthesis by 58.8 per cent, 8 gamma/ml of furacillin and 0.5 gamma/ml of levomycetin inhibited the synthesis by 61 per cent, 8 gamma/ml of furacillin and 4 gamma/ml of neomycin inhibited it by 59.5 per cent. At the same time furacillin alone in concentrations of 16 and 8 gamma/ml inhibited the protein synthesis by 69.1 and 37 per cent respectively, tetracycline alone in doses of 0.25 and 0.125 gamma/ml inhibited it by 51.3 and 34.7 per cent respectively, levomycetin alone in doses of 1 and 0.5 gamma/ml inhibited it by 54.4 and 33.2 per cent, enomycin in doses of 8 and 4 gamma/ml inhibited it by 54.4 and 22.6 per cent respectively. Therefore, when the above antibiotics were used in combination with furacillin the inhibitory effect of the drugs on the protein synthesis was summarized. When furacillin was combined with tetracycline or levomycetin in the above concentrations, the inhibitory effect on RNA synthesis (42 or 32 per cent respectively) was lower than that of furacillin alone (50.5 per cent). When furacillin was used in combination with neomycin, the inhibition of RNA synthesis increased up to 69 per cent. The increase in the inhibitory effect was also noted with respect to the synthesis of DNA. Combination of furacillin with tetracycline, levomycetin or neomhcin decreased the synthesis of DNA by 79.7, 85 or 85.8 per cent respectively as compared to the inhibitory effect of 8 gamma/ml of furacillin equal to 61 per cent.  相似文献

Pharmacokinetics of polymyxin B sulfate of Soviet production was studied in various species of animals with the use of different administration routes and dosage. After a single intramuscular administration of the drug to dogs in doses of 1.1 and 2.2 mg/kg the antibiotic was detected within 5 hours at the maximum level during the 1st hour. A two-fold increase of the dose was accompanied by 1.5 times increase in the antibiotic level. Repeated administrations of polymyxin B sulfate in a dose of 4.5 mg/kg did not result in an increase in the blood level as compared to a single use of the drug. When polymyxin B sulfate was administered intravenously, the concentration peak was observed in 15 minutes independent of the dosage. Later the antibiotic level decreased. The maximum level of the drug in the mice was observed 1 hour after its intramuscular administration in a dose of 8 mg/kg, the highest levels being registered in the kidney tissues and urine.  相似文献

The effects of increasing doses of diazepam on striatal dopamine (DA) and homovanillic acid (HVA) levels were studied in rats pretreated with -hydroxybutyric acid (GHB). A dose of 750 mg/kg of GHB causes a rise of both DA and HVA striatal levels in rats. Diazepam, administered to animals pretreated with GHB, induces a further increase of striatal DA and HVA levels.  相似文献

The critical concentrations of the mycella formation of novobiocin, mithramycin, variamycin, erythromycin, oleandomycin and lincomycin were determined with two methods by changes in the isotherms of the surface tension and in the maximum absorption of rodamine due to the antibiotic concentrations. The results obtained with the two methods were comparable.  相似文献
