Strain BS12T, a Gram-negative motile bacterium, was isolated from soil in South Korea and characterized to determine its taxonomic position. Phylogenetic analyses based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that the strain belonged to the family Alcaligenaceae in the class Betaproteobacteria. The highest degree of sequence similarities of strain BS12T were found with Pigmentiphaga litoralis JSM 061001T (98.3%), Pigmentiphaga daeguensis K110T (98.2%), and Pigmentiphaga kullae K24T (98.1%). Chemotaxonomic data revealed that strain BS12T possessed ubiquinone-8, which is common in the family Alcaligenaceae, and the predominant fatty acids were C16:0, C17:0 cyclo, summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω6c/ω7c), and summed feature 8 (C18:1 ω6c/ω7c). The major polar lipids of strain BS12T were phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylglycerol. Based on these data, BS12T (=KCTC 23577T =JCM 17666T =KEMB 9004-082T) should be classified as a type strain of a novel species, for which the name Pigmentiphaga soli sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

Strain DY6T, a Gram-positive endospore-forming motile rod-shaped bacterium, was isolated from soil in South Korea and characterized to determine its taxonomic position. Phylogenetic analyses based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain DY6T revealed that strain DY6T belongs to the genus Paenibacillus in the family Paenibacillaceae in the class Bacilli. The highest degree of sequence similarities of strain DY6T were found with Paenibacillus gansuensis B518T (97.9%), P. chitinolyticus IFO 15660T (95.3%), P. chinjuensis WN9T (94.7%), and P. rigui WPCB173T (94.7%). Chemotaxonomic data revealed that the predominant fatty acids were anteiso-C15:0 (38.7%) and C16:0 (18.0%). A complex polar lipid profile consisted of major amounts of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, and phosphatidylglycerol. The predominant respiratory quinone was MK-7. Based on these phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic, and phenotypic data, strain DY6T (=KCTC 33026T =JCM 18491T) should be classified as a type strain of a novel species, for which the name Paenibacillus swuensis sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

Strain BS6(T), a Gram-positive non-motile bacterium, was isolated from soil in South Korea and characterized to determine its taxonomic position. Phylogenetic analyses based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that strain BS6T belonged to the family Propionibacteriaceae in the class Actinobacteria. Strain BS6(T) showed the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Microlunatus soli CC-012602(T) (98.6%) and high sequence similarities with Microlunatus species (94.5-98.6%). Chemotaxonomic data revealed that the predominant fatty acids were anteiso-C(17:0), anteiso-C(15:0), summed feature 8 (C(18:1) ω7c/ω6c), and iso-C(16:0). The cell wall peptidoglycan contained (LL)-diaminopimelic acid, and the major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, and phosphatidylglycerol. Based on these data, BS6(T) (=KCTC 19858(T) =JCM 17661(T) =CCARM 9244(T) =KEMC 9004-079(T)) should be classified as a type strain of a novel species, for which the name Microlunatus terrae sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

A straw-yellow pigmented bacterium, strain IITR-21T was isolated from a pesticide contaminated site and characterized by using a polyphasic taxonomic approach. The organism had morphological and chemotaxonomic properties consistent with its classification in the genus Nitratireductor. Phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that the strain IITR-21T belongs to the genus Nitratireductor and was moderately related to Nitratireductor indicus C115T (97.7%) and Nitratireductor pacificus pht-3BT (97.4%), whereas sequence similarity value with the other species including the type species of the genus Nitratireductor, Nitratireductor aquibiodomus showed less than 97.0% similarity. However, the DNA–DNA relatedness values between strain IITR-21T and the moderately related taxa N. indicus (59.1%) and N. pacificus (40.4%) were well below the 70% threshold value recommended for the delineation of bacterial species. The G+C content of the DNA was 62.4 mol%. Based on physiological, biochemical tests and genotypic differences between the strain IITR-21T and the other two validly published species of the genus Nitratireductor, it is proposed that the strain be classified as a new species of Nitratireductor as Nitratireductor lucknowense sp. nov. The type strain is IITR-21T (=MTCC 8354= DSM 24322T).  相似文献

A novel bacterium, designated Z-25 T, was isolated from a rice paddy rhizosphere soil sample from Wuchang County, China. The Z-25 T strain is gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming, aerobic, motile by unipolar flagella and straw white in color. A phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that strain Z-25 belongs to the genus Shinella, and the closest members are Shinella zoogloeoides ATCC 19623 T with 98.58% similarity, S. kummerowiae CCBAU 25,048 T (98.03%) and S. granuli Ch06 T (97.37%). The average nucleotide identity and in silico DNA-DNA hybridization values between strain Z-25 T and the closest members were less than 85.29% and 28.70%, respectively. The predominant fatty acids were the sums of features comprising C18:1 ω7c and/or C18:1 ω6c (34.62%), C18:1 ω7c -11-methyl (20.48%), and C19:0 cyclo ω8c (18.19%). The only respiratory quinone was ubiquinone-10, and the major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylethanolamine. Additionally, a genome analysis showed that Z-25 T presented potential functional genes related to the degradation of zearalenone (ZEN). An HPLC analysis indicated that Z-25 T could remove 74.13% of 10 mg/L ZEN after 144 h at 30 °C. Therefore, based on phenotypic, chemotaxonomic, phylogenetic and genotypic analyses, strain Z-25 T represents a novel species in the genus Shinella, for which the name Shinella oryzae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is Z-25 T (=?GDMCC 1.2424 T?=?KCTC 82660 T).

Strain DY59T, a Gram-positive non-motile bacterium, was isolated from soil in South Korea, and was characterized to determine its taxonomic position. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain DY59T revealed that the strain DY59T belonged to the family Deinococcaceae in the class Deinococci. The highest degree of sequence similarities of strain DY59T were found with Deinococcus radiopugnans KACC 11999T (99.0%), Deinococcus marmoris KACC 12218T (97.9%), Deinococcus saxicola KACC 12240T (97.0%), Deinococcus aerolatus KACC 12745T (96.2%), and Deinococcus frigens KACC 12220T (96.1%). Chemotaxonomic data revealed that the predominant fatty acids were iso-C15:0 (19.0%), C16:1 ω7c (17.7%), C15:1 ω6c (12.6%), iso-C17:0 (10.3%), and iso-C17:1 ω9c (10.3%). A complex polar lipid profile consisted of a major unknown phosphoglycolipid. The predominant respiratory quinone is MK-8. The cell wall peptidoglycan contained D-alanine, L-glutamic acid, glycine, and L-ornithine (di-amino acid). The novel strain showed resistance to gamma radiation, with a D10 value (i.e. the dose required to reduce the bacterial population by 10-fold) in excess of 5 kGy. Based on the phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic, and phenotypic data, strain DY59T (=KCTC 33033T =JCM 18581T) should be classified as a type strain of a novel species, for which the name Deinococcus swuensis sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

Strain SR-1T, a Gram-positive, strictly-aerobic, short-rod shaped, non-motile bacterium, was isolated from a mountain soil collected in Seoul Women’s University in South Korea. Growth occurred between 15 and 37 °C (optimum, 30 °C), at pH 6.0–9.0 (optimum, pH 7.0) and with 0–2 % NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain SR-1T belongs to the genus Nocardioides and is closely related to Nocardioides simplex KCTC 9106T (96.8 %), Nocardioides caeni MN8T (96.7 %), Nocardioides aromaticivorans H-1T (96.6 %), and Nocardioides kongijuensis A2-4T (96.6 %). Chemotaxonomic data revealed that strain SR-1T possesses MK-8(H4) as predominant menaquinone, ll-2,6-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid, phosphatidylglycerol and diphosphatidylglycerol as predominant polar lipids and iso-C16:0, 10-methyl-C18:0, and C18:1 ω9c are major fatty acids. The DNA G+C content of the strain SR-1T was 72.4 mol%. Based on polyphasic evidence, strain SR-1T (= KEMC 9004-134T = JCM 19684T) should be classified as the type strain of a novel Nocardioides species, for which the name Nocardioides soli sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

Polyphasic analysis of ten isolates of the red-pigmented bacteria isolated from ten Arthrospira cultures originating from different parts of the world is described. The 16S rRNA analysis showed <95 % identity with the known bacteria on public databases, therefore, additional analyses of fatty acids profiles, MALDI-TOF/MS, genome sequencing of the chosen isolate and following phylogenomic analyses were performed. Gram-stain-negative, strictly aerobic rods were positive for catalase, negative for oxidase, proteolytic and urease activity. Major fatty acids were 15 : 0 iso, 17:0 iso 3 OH and 17:1 iso w9c/16:0 10-methyl. The whole phylogenomic analyses revealed that the genomic sequence of newly isolated strain DPMB0001 was most closely related to members of Cyclobacteriaceae family and clearly indicated distinctiveness of newly isolated bacteria. The average nucleotide identity and in silico DNA–DNA hybridisation values were calculated between representative of the novel strains DPMB0001 and its phylogenetically closest species, Indibacter alkaliphilus CCUG57479 (LW1)T (ANI 69.2 % is DDH 17.2 %) and Mariniradius saccharolyticus AK6T (ANI 80.02 % isDDH 26.1 %), and were significantly below the established cut-off <94 % (ANI) and <70 % (isDDH) for species and genus delineation. The obtained results showed that the analysed isolates represent novel genus and species, for which names Arthrospiribacter gen nov. and Arthrospiribacter ruber sp. nov. (type strain DPMB0001 = LMG 31078 = PCM 3008) is proposed.  相似文献

A novel protein-deamidating enzyme, which has potential for industrial applications, was purified from the culture supernatant of Chryseobacterium proteolyticum strain 9670(T) isolated from rice field soil in Tsukuba, Japan. The deamidating activities on carboxybenzoxy (Cbz)-Gln-Gly and caseins and protease activity were produced synchronously by the isolate. Both deamidating activities were eluted as identical peaks separated from several proteases by phenyl-Sepharose chromatography of the culture supernatant. The enzyme catalyzed the deamidation of native caseins with no protease and transglutaminase activities. Phenotypic characterization and DNA analyses of the isolate were performed to determine its taxonomy. Physiological and biochemical characteristics, 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, and DNA-DNA relatedness data indicated that the isolate should be placed as a new species belonging to the genus Chryseobacterium. The isolate showed no growth on MacConkey agar and produced acid from sucrose. The levels of DNA-DNA relatedness between the isolate and other related strains were less than 17%. The name Chryseobacterium proteolyticum is proposed for the new species; strain 9670 is the type strain (=FERM P-17664).  相似文献

Two Pseudomonas-like yellow-orange-pigmented non-fluorescent denitrifying strains KMM 235 and KMM 1447T were isolated from marine ascidian specimens and investigated by a polyphasic approach to clarify their taxonomic status. On the basis of 16S rDNA gene sequence data the new isolates clustered with the Pseudomonas stutzeri species group with sequence similarities of >98%. The results of DNA-DNA hybridization and biochemical characterization showed genetic and phenotypic distinction between strains KMM 235 and KMM 1447T and from the other validly described Pseudomonas species. Strain KMM 235 was found to be closely related to the type strain of Pseudomonas stutzeri in their phenotypic and genetic characteristics and represented, probably, a new P. stutzeri genomovar. It is proposed that strain KMM 1447T be classified as a new species of the genus Pseudomonas, Pseudomonas xanthomarina sp. nov., with the type strain KMM 1447T (=JCM 12468T=NRIC 0617T=CCUG 46543T).  相似文献
