The autologous plasma, isolated upon UV-irradiation of the whole blood, has an inhibitory effect on mitogen-induced, blastogenesis of human lymphocytes. Its addition to the culture medium results in a statistically significant suppression of DNA synthesis in lymphocytes in the presence of phytohemagglutinin and concanavalin A. No such effect was observed with the use of pokeweed mitogen. Our studies show that this phenomenon is associated with photoconversion of the plasma components. 相似文献

A possible mechanism of the hemopoiesis stimulation by UV and solar radiation was studied. The UV irradiation of leucocyte-enriched donor serum results in increasing the colony formation activity of the serum. The addition of such a serum but depleted of leucocytes to human bone marrow cells in semisolid agar culture stimulates its colony formation by 1.5-3 times. A serum depleted of leucocytes before the irradiation has not this property. It is supposed that cell surface glycoproteins, desorbing into the serum under UV irradiation, induce the colony formation activity of UV-irradiated blood. 相似文献

Electron microscopic studies of a rat liver blood circulatory bed at the experimentally induced 20-day cholestasis demonstrated that the biliary cirrhosis was accompanied by the development of intravascular thrombosis in the liver in a number of cases. Appearance of "pure" thrombocytic thrombi in the lumen of interlobular veins having continuous intact vascular walls was the morphologic feature of the thrombosis. These thrombi are characterized by absence of fibrin fibres. Presence of the intravascular thrombi indicated the higher aggregative ability of thrombocytes which in complex with haemostasis disorders, was one of the causes of hypertension and hemorrhage at the liver pathology. 相似文献

The UV-irradiated blood of healthy adults was supplemented with non-irradiated blood in the ratio 1:10. The phagocytic activity (PhA) of monocytes and granulocytes was seen to increase markedly in the whole mixture of blood. In this case the rise of PhA was pronounced 1.4-1.7 times as much as in the case of the non-supplemented, directly UV-irradiated blood. The enhancement of PhA depends on its initial level and may occur simultaneously with structural changes of the cell surface components. It seems reasonable to propose that PhA stimulation may be one of the earliest mechanisms in immunocorrection by UV-irradiated blood therapy. 相似文献

Wild-type and mutant (AB 1157 and K-12) strains of Escherichia coli were shown to synthesize the logarithmic growth phase, exometabolites reactivating UV-irradiated cells of producer strains. The exometabolites of the strain K-12 were of protein nature and had a molecular weight of no more than 10 kDa. The reactivating activity of these exometabolites was inversely related to bacterial survival and slightly increased under the influence of stress factors. The reactivating factor of Luteococcus casei had a cross-reactivating and protective effect on UV-irradiated cells of E. coli strain K-12. Due to activation of the reactivating factor after UV irradiation and heating, the cross-protective effect increased more than threefold. The reactivating effect remained unchanged under these conditions. The protein exometabolites of E. coli did not induce cross-stress response in L. casei. 相似文献

Experiments on mice (CBA X C57 Bl6)F1 using endo- and exogenous cloning have shown that ultraviolet irradiation of blood enhances colony stimulating properties of plasma. Stimulation of colony formation occurs both in vitro, on direct contact of UV-irradiated blood plasma with bone marrow cells, and in vivo, upon this injection to the whole organism. In the latter case, increased migration of colony forming hematopoietic cells from the bone marrow can be noted. Single intravenous injection of syngenic UV-irradiated blood prevents inhibition of hematopoietic function of the bone marrow induced by closed brain injury. 相似文献

Ultraviolet light at 254 nm induces various kinds of DNA damage. We have located and quantified the pyrimidine (6-4) pyrimidone photoproducts along three hundred and forty two nucleotides of SV40 DNA. The level of photoproduct induction varies greatly according to the position on the DNA, but unlike what happens with pyrimidine dimers, the very adjacent nucleotides do not play a major role in the frequency of formation. A new alkali-sensitive site has been found on the ACA sequence after UV irradiation. This complex lesion is insensitive to the T4 endonuclease V and the E. coli photolyase, and may be involved with mutagenesis. 相似文献

The authors analysed an incidence of performed exchange blood transfusions at the newborn babies ward prior to and after introduction of phototherapy into practice. This analysis included the causes of jaundice in newborn. The study included the causes of jaundice in newborn. The study involved 8,937 newborn babies delivered between 1981 and 1985. Prior to phototherapy (period between January, 1981 and July, 1980), 45 blood transfusions and 9 retransfusions were performed. During the period II (between July, 1983 and December, 1985), i.e. phototherapy, 30 blood transfusions and 1 retransfusion were effected despite of the higher number of delivered babies. The obtained results have shown favourable effect of the phototherapy in jaundice of perinatal period, especially in jaundice unconnected with blood Rh factor conflict and in premature babies. Phototherapy decreased the number of performed transfusions and retransfusions. 相似文献

Of 399 patients inseminated therapeutically with the semen of a donor, 303 became pregnant, the great majority of them within six months of the time inseminations were begun. The average number of inseminations was 6.2 and the average number of menstrual cycles over which they were carried out was 3.55. The greatest number of pregnancies occurred between the twelfth and the fifteenth day of the menstrual cycle. Seven patients had four pregnancies by this method, 17 had three and 59 had two. Emotional problems related to children of artificial insemination were far fewer than those associated with adoption. 相似文献
