草地生态系统服务功能是指草地生态系统及其生态过程所形成和维持的人类赖以生存的自然环境及其有效性,中国干旱半干旱地区的草地退化严重制约着生态系统服务功能的。以乌鲁木齐市山地草地为研究靶区,利用遥感图像(Landsat TM/OLI)划分出7种不同草地类型并计算其生态系统服务价值(Ecosystem Service Values, ESV)。使用空间统计方法、网格分析、空间自相关等方法进一步分析研究区山地草地退化程度和ESV变化。结果表明:21年中,乌鲁木齐市草地生态系统服务价值呈现波动性下降趋势,年均减少0.27×10~7元。生态损失主要是由山地荒漠草地(7.44%)、山地荒漠草原草地(10.71%)、山地草甸草原草地(18.32%)和高寒草甸草地(40.69%)退化造成。单项生态系统服务价值中,草地对调节服务(土壤形成)和供给服务的贡献率较高。草地ESVs Moran平均值为0.869(1994—2015年),并且草地ESV与相邻网格(2 km×2 km)具有更高的空间相关性。草地ESV具有明显的空间分布特征,高ESV区基本上分布在南山山区,低ESV区主要分布在平原草地区,博格达山草地亚区呈现随机分布格局。研究区气候变化对草地的影响十分显著,平均气温、平均地表温度、湿度、蒸散量、降水量和风速对草地ESV变化均有一定的影响,过度放牧、不合理垦荒、药用植物过度开发、城市化等人为活动仍然是驱动草地退化的主要因子,因此亟需采取措施保育乌鲁木齐市山地草原生态系统。  相似文献

内蒙古阴山北麓农牧交错区由于长期不合理的开垦造成了荒漠草地生态系统碳交换等生态功能的显著丧失。我国20世纪末开始实施的退耕还林还草工程产生了大量退耕地,随着自然恢复演替,这些退耕地的生态功能得到了有效的修复,其巨大的碳汇潜力成为了荒漠草地生态系统碳循环研究的热点。研究通过空间代替时间的方法,对内蒙古阴山北麓典型区域——武川县周边无干扰的荒漠草原以及3个退耕恢复阶段草地的生态系统CO2交换(NEE、GEP和ER)、水分利用效率(WUE)以及生物量等指标进行了实地测量。结果表明:(1)随着退耕恢复演替时间的推移,生态系统CO2交换呈显著上升趋势,演替晚期植被NEE与未受干扰的荒漠草地无明显差异;(2)生态系统水分利用效率的变化趋势与生态系统CO2交换基本一致,但已退耕17年后的退耕地WUE仍没有恢复至未受干扰荒漠草地的水平;(3)导致以上结果的原因主要与退耕地地上植被生物量的恢复以及一、二年生植物和多年生植物比例的演替变化有关。结果表明荒漠草地退耕地恢复过程中生态系统功能的恢复可能并非是同时的,而是分阶段有选择进行的。  相似文献

草地生态系统服务功能是指草地生态系统及其生态过程所形成及所维持的人类赖以生存的自然环境条件与效用。根据最新的研究成果 ,结合草地生态系统提供服务的机制 ,将草地生态系统的服务功能划分为产品提供、调节功能、文化功能和支持功能四大类 ,其中 ,产品提供功能可分为畜牧业产品和植物资源产品两类 ,调节功能则包括气候调节、土壤C累积、水资源调节、侵蚀控制、空气质量调节、废弃物降解、营养物质循环 ;文化功能主要包括民族文化多样性和休闲旅游 ;支持功能则包括固沙改土及培肥地力和生境提供。在上述服务功能机制分析的基础上 ,构建了由 13个功能指标组成的草地生态系统服务功能评价指标体系。  相似文献

地球系统的碳库和碳循环过程变化是影响气候系统的重要因素,而陆地生态系统的碳收支及其循环过程机制研究一直是全球气候变化成因分析、变化趋势预测、减缓和适应对策分析领域的科学研究热点。回顾了过去几十年区域尺度陆地生态系统碳循环和碳收支研究领域的国际前沿及其关键科学问题,并分析了我国在该研究领域的科技需求和发展方向。当前国际科学研究的热点和前沿领域主要包括:生态系统和区域碳储量和碳收支的清查、综合计量与碳汇认证,陆地生态系统碳通量的联网观测及其循环过程机制,陆地生态系统碳循环过程对气候变化响应野外控制试验,陆地生态系统水、碳、氮循环及其耦合关系机制和模拟模型研究等,同时指出在这些研究领域依然存在且急需解决的关键科学问题。我国近期的科技工作重点工作应该是努力构建天-地-空一体化的碳储量和碳收支动态监测体系、开展生态系统碳-氮-水耦合循环及其区域调控管理的前瞻性研究,定量评价中国生态系统的碳收支状况和增汇潜力,评估各种典型生态系统增汇技术的经济效益,为国家尺度的温室气体管理和碳交易机制与政策体系的建立提供可报告、可度量和可核查的科学数据和技术支持。  相似文献

祁连山生态环境保护是建设我国西部生态安全屏障的关键环节,而核算祁连山生态系统服务价值是制定合理有效的生态环境保护措施的有力依据。然而受气候变化和人类活动的共同影响,祁连山地区生态环境问题依旧突出,亟需对该地区生态系统服务价值开展研究以服务后期生态环境建设。基于此目的,使用1990-2020年祁连山地区土地利用数据,运用土地利用动态度、土地利用转移矩阵揭示该地区土地利用变化规律。并使用生态系统服务价值评估模型测算了祁连山地区生态系统服务价值,探究了其动态变化过程,并明确了各土地利用类型与生态系统服务价值变化之间的内在联系。结果表明:(1)1990-2020年,草地和荒漠是祁连山地区最主要的土地利用类型,单一土地利用动态度分别为水域 > 湿地 > 耕地 > 荒漠 > 草地 > 林地。草地和耕地以及草地和荒漠相互转化成为该地区最主要的土地利用变化特征;(2)祁连山地区生态系统服务价值呈持续增加趋势,由1990年的7231.36亿元增加至2020年的7836.07亿元,在空间上呈现出东高西低的变化趋势。生态系统服务价值构成主体主要为水域、草地和林地,单项生态系统服务价值以水文调节和气候调节为主,反映了调节服务是祁连山地区生态系统的主要功能;(3)水域、草地和湿地这3种土地利用类型是近30年祁连山地区生态系统服务价值变化的主要贡献因子。1990-2020年,祁连山地区生态系统服务价值对土地利用的敏感性总体呈增加态势(1.48%-7.91%),土地利用变化对该地区生态系统服务价值的影响逐步增强。系统揭示了过去30年祁连山地区生态系统服务价值的演变及其与土地利用变化的内在联系,重点阐释了水域、草地、林地和湿地对该地区生态系统服务价值和生态环境保护的重要性,可为祁连山地区生态产品价值实现及生态保护管理等提供基础科技支撑。  相似文献

全面认识和理解生态系统服务的形成机制是维持其持续供给的前提。植物功能性状直接参与多种生态系统过程, 影响生态系统服务供给, 探讨植物功能性状与生态系统服务的关系是揭示生态系统服务形成机制的重要途径。该文采用系统的文献综述方法, 分析了植物功能性状与生态系统服务关系的研究特点, 总结了影响不同生态系统服务的主要植物功能性状, 阐述了可能的影响途径。结果表明: 植物功能性状与生态系统服务关系研究以草地和森林等自然生态系统为主; 大部分研究集中在生态系统供给服务和支持服务, 包括生物量、净初级生产力、土壤肥力等; 根据植物功能性状对不同生态系统服务的影响程度, 植物功能性状可以聚类为土壤保持服务相关性状、水分循环相关性状、多功能相关性状、产品提供服务与养分循环相关性状以及授粉与生物控制服务相关性状; 并阐述了植物功能性状指标影响不同的生态系统服务途径。围绕植物功能性状对生态系统服务的影响, 今后尚需进一步探讨生态系统多功能性、植物功能性状相关性、气候变化和人类活动不确定性、时空尺度差异等因素对二者关系的影响。  相似文献

近年来,全球增温对陆地生态系统的影响成为科学家研究的热点之一。草地生态系统是最重要的陆地生态系统之一,故研究草地生态系统对增温的响应尤为重要。本文通过对近10年国内外研究文献的回顾,论述了陆地生态系统增温实验的发展及其在中国草地生态系统的应用,从植物种群、群落、土壤、草地生态功能及动物等方面综合分析了增温对我国高寒草甸、亚高山草甸、羊草草甸、荒漠草原等不同草地类型的影响。结果表明,短期增温有利于草甸区禾本科植物的生长;在植物的不同生长时期增温对地上生物量的重要性存在差异;增温会改变植物的整体物候,显著降低羊草草甸土壤湿度;适度增温可以增加土壤微生物生物量碳、氮,促进高寒草甸土壤碳、磷循环。在此基础上,提出了将来应着重研究的几个科学问题。  相似文献

近年来,生态系统服务的形成及其机制已成为生态学的研究热点之一.在2005年举行的千年生态系统评估之后,生态系统服务的衍生研究,如生态系统服务分类、评估、权衡与协同、传递和生态系统服务流等也迅速增加,使生态系统服务的研究步入崭新阶段.为更好地了解生态系统服务并加深对其的研究,及时梳理生态系统服务的形成机制很有必要,然而目前对这方面的研究仍未形成一个恰当的研究范式.本文在查阅大量中、英文文献的基础上,主要总结了近10余年与生态系统服务形成机制相关的研究;并从“内因”和“外因”两个方面出发,重点对生物多样性及人类参与活动在生态系统服务形成过程中所起到的作用进行分析和梳理,并提出了研究展望.  相似文献

功能性状通过影响生态系统的属性和过程及其维持来影响生态系统服务。功能多样性-生态系统功能关系的研究有助于深入探讨生态系统服务形成机制, 也为生态系统服务研究提供了一个切入点。该文对目前的功能性状和生态系统服务研究框架进行了介绍, 回顾了功能多样性-生态系统功能关系的研究现状, 总结了目前功能性状在生态系统服务研究中的应用, 提出了基于功能性状的生态系统服务研究框架。在这个研究框架中, 首先选取对生态系统功能影响显著的非生物因子和功能多样性指数, 然后量化非生物因子和功能多样性与生态系统功能, 以及生态系统功能-生态系统服务之间的关系, 进而构建功能多样性与生态系统服务的数量关系。与此同时, 利用群落构建理论和物种共存机制分析功能多样性-生态系统功能变化的机制联系, 以研究生态系统服务形成和变化机制, 为生态系统服务管理决策提供科学依据。  相似文献

Understanding the responses of biodiversity to drivers of change and the effects of biodiversity on ecosystem properties and ecosystem services is a key challenge in the context of global environmental change. We performed a systematic review and meta‐analysis of the scientific literature linking direct drivers of change and ecosystem services via functional traits of three taxonomic groups (vegetation, invertebrates, and vertebrates) to: (1) uncover trends and research biases in this field; and (2) synthesize existing empirical evidence. Our results show the existence of important biases in published studies related to ecosystem types, taxonomic groups, direct drivers of change, ecosystem services, geographical range, and the spatial scale of analysis. We found multiple evidence of links between drivers and services mediated by functional traits, particularly between land‐use changes and regulating services in vegetation and invertebrates. Seventy‐five functional traits were recorded in our sample. However, few of these functional traits were repeatedly found to be associated with both the species responses to direct drivers of change (response traits) and the species effects on the provision of ecosystem services (effect traits). Our results highlight the existence of potential “key functional traits,” understood as those that have the capacity to influence the provision of multiple ecosystem services, while responding to specific drivers of change, across a variety of systems and organisms. Identifying “key functional traits” would help to develop robust indicator systems to monitor changes in biodiversity and their effects on ecosystem functioning and ecosystem services supply.  相似文献

Most ecosystems provide multiple services, thus the impact of biodiversity losses on ecosystem functions may be considerably underestimated by studies that only address single functions. We propose a multivariate modelling framework for quantifying the relationship between biodiversity and multiple ecosystem functions (multifunctionality). Our framework consolidates the strengths of previous approaches to analysing ecosystem multifunctionality and contributes several advances. It simultaneously assesses the drivers of multifunctionality, such as species relative abundances, richness, evenness and other manipulated treatments. It also tests the relative importance of these drivers across functions, incorporates correlations among functions and identifies conditions where all functions perform well and where trade‐offs occur among functions. We illustrate our framework using data from three ecosystem functions (sown biomass, weed suppression and nitrogen yield) in a four‐species grassland experiment. We found high variability in performance across the functions in monocultures, but as community diversity increased, performance increased and variability across functions decreased.  相似文献

Ecosystems provide multiple services upon which humans depend. Understanding the drivers of the ecosystem functions that support these services is therefore important. Much research has investigated how species richness influences functioning, but we lack knowledge of how other community attributes affect ecosystem functioning. Species evenness, species spatial arrangement, and the identity of dominant species are three attributes that could affect ecosystem functioning, by altering the relative abundance of functional traits and the probability of synergistic species interactions such as facilitation and complementary resource use. We tested the effect of these three community attributes and their interactions on ecosystem functions over a growing season, using model grassland communities consisting of three plant species from three functional groups: a grass (Anthoxanthum odoratum), a forb (Plantago lanceolata), and a N-fixing forb (Lotus corniculatus). We measured multiple ecosystem functions that support ecosystem services, including ecosystem gas exchange, water retention, C and N loss in leachates, and plant biomass production. Species evenness and dominant species identity strongly influenced the ecosystem functions measured, but spatial arrangement had few effects. By the end of the growing season, evenness consistently enhanced ecosystem functioning and this effect occurred regardless of dominant species identity. The identity of the dominant species under which the highest level of functioning was attained varied across the growing season. Spatial arrangement had the weakest effect on functioning, but interacted with dominant species identity to affect some functions. Our results highlight the importance of understanding the role of multiple community attributes in driving ecosystem functioning.  相似文献

生态功能分区是生态系统管理的重要环节,有助于维持生态可持续性.目前生态功能分区的框架复杂多样,但对多重生态系统服务之间关系的理解还不够深刻.生态系统服务簇可以识别多重生态系统服务间的交互作用,并依据簇的特征对区域进行生态功能分区,从而更好地进行社会-生态系统管理.本文以内蒙古自治区为例,定量评估了供给服务、调节服务和支持服务,以旗县(区)为基本空间单元,运用自组织特征映射网络(SOFM)得到生态系统服务簇、划分生态功能区.结果表明: 研究区各项生态系统服务分布整体上呈现从东北向西南递减的格局;供给服务和调节服务存在权衡关系,支持服务和调节服务存在协同关系;依据聚类结果将内蒙古自治区划分为4个生态功能区,分别为西部荒漠生态脆弱区、中部草原水土保持区、东部草原牧业盈余区、东部森林生态均衡区.本研究基于生态系统服务簇的概念,分析了内蒙古自治区多重生态系统服务的权衡与协同关系,为生态功能分区提供了新的视角和方法.  相似文献

Ecosystem management that attempts to maximize the production of one ecosystem service often results in substantial declines in the provision of other ecosystem services. For this reason, recent studies have called for increased attention to development of a theoretical understanding behind the relationships among ecosystem services. Here, we review the literature on ecosystem services and propose a typology of relationships between ecosystem services based on the role of drivers and the interactions between services. We use this typology to develop three propositions to help drive ecological science towards a better understanding of the relationships among multiple ecosystem services. Research which aims to understand the relationships among multiple ecosystem services and the mechanisms behind these relationships will improve our ability to sustainably manage landscapes to provide multiple ecosystem services.  相似文献

Concern about human modification of Earth's ecosystems has recently motivated ecologists to address how global change drivers will impact the simultaneous provisioning of multiple functions, termed ecosystem multifunctionality (EMF). However, metrics of EMF have often been applied in global change studies with little consideration of the information they provide beyond single functions, or how and why EMF may respond to global change drivers. Here, we critically review the current state of this rapidly expanding field and provide a conceptual framework to guide the effective incorporation of EMF in global change research. In particular, we emphasize the need for a priori identification and explicit testing of the biotic and abiotic mechanisms through which global change drivers impact EMF, as well as assessing correlations among multiple single functions because these patterns underlie shifts in EMF. While the role of biodiversity in mediating global change effects on EMF has justifiably received much attention, empirical support for effects via other biotic and physicochemical mechanisms are also needed. Studies also frequently stated the importance of measuring EMF responses to global change drivers to understand the potential consequences for multiple ecosystem services, but explicit links between measured functions and ecosystem services were missing from many such studies. While there is clear potential for EMF to provide novel insights to global change research, predictive understanding will be greatly improved by insuring future research is strongly hypothesis‐driven, is designed to explicitly test multiple abiotic and biotic mechanisms, and assesses how single functions and their covariation drive emergent EMF responses to global change drivers.  相似文献

The accelerating loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services worldwide has accentuated a long-standing debate on the role of diversity in stabilizing ecological communities and has given rise to a field of research on biodiversity and ecosystem functioning (BEF). Although broad consensus has been reached regarding the positive BEF relationship, a number of important challenges remain unanswered. These primarily concern the underlying mechanisms by which diversity increases resilience and community stability, particularly the relative importance of statistical averaging and functional complementarity. Our understanding of these mechanisms relies heavily on theoretical and experimental studies, yet the degree to which theory adequately explains the dynamics and stability of natural ecosystems is largely unknown, especially in marine ecosystems. Using modelling and a unique 60-year dataset covering multiple trophic levels, we show that the pronounced multi-decadal variability of the Southern California Current System (SCCS) does not represent fundamental changes in ecosystem functioning, but a linear response to key environmental drivers channelled through bottom-up and physical control. Furthermore, we show strong temporal asynchrony between key species or functional groups within multiple trophic levels caused by opposite responses to these drivers. We argue that functional complementarity is the primary mechanism reducing community variability and promoting resilience and stability in the SCCS.  相似文献

Climate change is having a significant impact on ecosystem services and is likely to become increasingly important as this phenomenon intensifies. Future impacts can be difficult to assess as they often involve long timescales, dynamic systems with high uncertainties, and are typically confounded by other drivers of change. Despite a growing literature on climate change impacts on ecosystem services, no quantitative syntheses exist. Hence, we lack an overarching understanding of the impacts of climate change, how they are being assessed, and the extent to which other drivers, uncertainties, and decision making are incorporated. To address this, we systematically reviewed the peer‐reviewed literature that assesses climate change impacts on ecosystem services at subglobal scales. We found that the impact of climate change on most types of services was predominantly negative (59% negative, 24% mixed, 4% neutral, 13% positive), but varied across services, drivers, and assessment methods. Although uncertainty was usually incorporated, there were substantial gaps in the sources of uncertainty included, along with the methods used to incorporate them. We found that relatively few studies integrated decision making, and even fewer studies aimed to identify solutions that were robust to uncertainty. For management or policy to ensure the delivery of ecosystem services, integrated approaches that incorporate multiple drivers of change and account for multiple sources of uncertainty are needed. This is undoubtedly a challenging task, but ignoring these complexities can result in misleading assessments of the impacts of climate change, suboptimal management outcomes, and the inefficient allocation of resources for climate adaptation.  相似文献

植物多样性对维持生态功能的稳定发挥具有重要作用。以黄土高原不同植被带草地为研究对象,基于野外调查和实验分析,探究黄土高原不同植被带草地植物多样性与群落稳定性特征和二者之间的关系以及影响因素。结果表明:黄土高原草地群落结构特征(地上生物量、地下生物量)与植物多样性具有明显的纬度分布格局,草地植物多样性和生物量均表现出自东南向西北沿森林草原带—森林带—草原带—草原荒漠带逐渐递减趋势。森林草原带草地植物多样性和群落稳定性显著高于森林带、草原带和草原荒漠带;植物多样性与群落稳定性之间存在显著正相关关系,可以作为衡量群落稳定性的指标,其稳定性大小表现为森林草原带>森林带>草原带>草原荒漠带。降雨量是影响植物多样性和群落稳定性的主要因素,并通过改变土壤含水量影响群落稳定性。研究结果揭示了草地植物多样性与群落稳定性之间的关系及驱动机制,为维持黄土高原草地生态系统的群落稳定性提供了科学依据。  相似文献

Marine ecosystems can experience regime shifts, in which they shift from being organized around one set of mutually reinforcing structures and processes to another. Anthropogenic global change has broadly increased a wide variety of processes that can drive regime shifts. To assess the vulnerability of marine ecosystems to such shifts and their potential consequences, we reviewed the scientific literature for 13 types of marine regime shifts and used networks to conduct an analysis of co-occurrence of drivers and ecosystem service impacts. We found that regime shifts are caused by multiple drivers and have multiple consequences that co-occur in a non-random pattern. Drivers related to food production, climate change and coastal development are the most common co-occurring causes of regime shifts, while cultural services, biodiversity and primary production are the most common cluster of ecosystem services affected. These clusters prioritize sets of drivers for management and highlight the need for coordinated actions across multiple drivers and scales to reduce the risk of marine regime shifts. Managerial strategies are likely to fail if they only address well-understood or data-rich variables, and international cooperation and polycentric institutions will be critical to implement and coordinate action across the scales at which different drivers operate. By better understanding these underlying patterns, we hope to inform the development of managerial strategies to reduce the risk of high-impact marine regime shifts, especially for areas of the world where data are not available or monitoring programmes are not in place.  相似文献
