温度对番茄潜叶蛾生长发育和繁殖的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
【目的】番茄潜叶蛾Tuta absoluta是一种对番茄具有毁灭性危害的世界性入侵害虫,本研究旨在探索温度对入侵番茄潜叶蛾种群生长发育和繁殖的影响,为预测番茄潜叶蛾的分布区域、田间发生动态提供基础。【方法】在室内测定了番茄叶片上番茄潜叶蛾在15, 20, 25, 30和35℃ 5个恒定温度条件下各虫态的发育历期和存活率、繁殖力和种群增长参数,并应用不同模型分析发育速率、内禀增长率和净生殖率与温度的关系,估计发育起点温度、发育极限温度、发育最适温度、有效积温和年发生代数。【结果】在恒温15~30℃范围内,番茄潜叶蛾各虫态的发育历期随温度升高而逐渐缩短。25℃下幼虫期存活率、成虫前期存活率、雌虫总产卵量、净生殖率、内禀增长率和周限增长率均最大。在35℃下,卵的存活率骤降至11%,孵化的幼虫无法正常发育。卵期、幼虫期、蛹期、成虫前期、全世代的有效积温分别为104.17, 232.59, 129.87, 434.78和526.32日·度,该虫在新疆伊宁县和察布查尔锡伯自治县的理论发生代数为4~5代。基于发育速率与温度关系的模型与基于种群增长参数与温度关系的模型所计算的积温需求参数不同,基于内禀增长率求得的番茄潜叶蛾的发育起点温度、发育极限高温和发育最适温度分别为12.46, 30.40和27.36℃。【结论】入侵我国新疆地区的番茄潜叶蛾适温范围广泛,在我国大部分地区具有极高的扩散风险。  相似文献

【目的】明确拉萨地区西花蓟马Frankliniellaoccidentalis的生物学特性和田间动态规律。【方法】建立了该种群的两性生命表,采用黄板诱集成虫的方法调查了日光温室番茄上西花蓟马的周年发生动态。【结果】该种群西花蓟马成虫前期总发育历期为12.54 d,2龄若虫发育历期为5.62 d,占成虫前期发育历期的44.8%,卵能存活到成虫阶段的概率为0.598。雌虫的平均寿命为27.76 d,雄虫为20.2 d。该种群的内禀增长率(r)和净增殖率(R0)分别为0.153/d和22.817。在拉萨日光温室番茄上西花蓟马能够周年发生,种群增长呈"单峰"型,6月中旬至8月上旬为发生盛期。【结论】拉萨地区西花蓟马的2龄若虫期明显较长,日光温室中西花蓟马的最佳防治适期在4月初。  相似文献

为探讨温度对咖啡豆象Araecerus fasciculatus实验种群生长发育和繁殖参数的影响, 以及昆虫生命活动与环境因子之间的关系, 为其种群数量控制提供依据, 本研究在17, 20, 23, 26, 29和32℃下, 研究咖啡豆象各虫态的发育与繁殖; 用线性回归、Logistic模型及“王-兰-丁”模型对温度与咖啡豆象各虫态之间的数学关系进行拟合; 通过最小二乘法计算了咖啡豆象的发育起点温度和有效积温。结果表明: 17~29℃之间, 随着温度的升高, 咖啡豆象幼虫的发育速率逐渐增大, 至32℃, 发育速率稍微降低。温度为27.43℃时, 咖啡豆象幼虫有理论最大发育速率0.493 d-1。卵、幼虫、蛹和卵-蛹期的发育起点温度分别为9.60, 11.48, 7.60和10.55℃, 有效积温分别为135.51, 523.57, 157.09和828.63日度。温度对咖啡豆象实验种群发育和繁殖有显著影响, 发育起点温度和有效积温较低是该虫危害严重的主要原因之一。本研究拟合数学模型可为该害虫的发生危害预测及综合管理提供技术支撑。  相似文献

北京地区朱砂叶螨在蔬菜集约化栽培下的种群动态   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为了明确集约化栽培管理模式对蔬菜上朱砂叶螨Tetranychus cinnabarinus(Boisduval)的种群数量及动态的影响,2008年在中国农科院蔬菜花卉所塑料棚和露地春、秋茬5种蔬菜上,调查了该螨的种群动态。结果表明,6月中旬春棚的朱砂叶螨种群数量达到高峰期,6月下旬后则明显下降;露地春茬菜豆、茄子、甜椒和黄瓜于6月上旬始见叶螨发生,有螨株率比单株螨量增长迅速,番茄上未发现叶螨。塑料棚和露地秋茬菜豆、茄子和黄瓜上朱砂叶螨发生数量低于13.3头/株,番茄、甜椒寄主上均未发现叶螨为害。分析认为,集约化栽培措施是制约朱砂叶螨种群发生数量的关键因素,降雨和高湿等不良的气象条件也有重要影响。  相似文献

为了探明温度对扶桑绵粉蚧Phenacoccus solenopsis Tinsley发育的影响, 本研究在光周期14L∶10D, 相对湿度75%±1%及不同温度(18, 20, 24, 26, 28和30℃)的实验室条件下, 测定了以南瓜为寄主的扶桑绵粉蚧各虫态的发育历期和存活率, 组建了扶桑绵粉蚧的实验种群生命表。结果表明: 在18~30℃温度范围内, 随着温度的升高扶桑绵粉蚧的发育速率加快, 且其温度与发育速率的关系符合 Logistic模型。在18~30℃恒温条件下, 扶桑绵粉蚧的雌虫世代发育历期为40.24~80.64 d, 雄虫世代发育历期为25.21~54.31 d; 雌虫世代的发育起点温度为7.39℃, 有效积温为889.89日·度; 雄虫世代的发育起点温度为8.58℃, 有效积温为523.47日·度。在26℃时, 扶桑绵粉蚧的世代存活率最高(77.03%), 种群趋势指数也最高(22.98), 有利于种群增长; 而在18℃和30℃, 扶桑绵粉蚧的种群趋势指数分别为2.99和9.80。扶桑绵粉蚧有较强的种群发展能力, 但高温和低温都不利于其种群增长。扶桑绵粉蚧发育历期和实验种群表的研究为其控制措施的制定提供了科学依据。  相似文献

【目的】明确自然变温环境对甘蓝夜蛾Mamestra brassicae生长发育和繁殖的影响,深入研究其对环境温度的适应性。【方法】在13~25℃(日平均19℃), 16~28℃(日平均22℃), 19~31℃(日平均25℃), 22~34℃(日平均28℃)和25~37℃(日平均31℃) 5个梯度变温条件下,以大豆Glycine max植株叶片为寄主材料饲养甘蓝夜蛾卵,测定其各虫态发育历期、发育速率、成虫繁殖力及发育起点温度和有效积温。【结果】变温范围为13~25℃时甘蓝夜蛾发育历期最长,世代发育历期为65.93 d,显著长于其他变温处理。且随温度升高,其发育历期缩短,变温范围为22~34℃时,该虫发育历期最短,世代发育历期为38.46 d,显著短于其他变温处理。在变温范围为25~37℃时,该虫不能正常完成个体发育。在日平均温度(T)19~28℃范围内(最大温差12℃),甘蓝夜蛾卵、幼虫及蛹期的发育速率随温度升高而加快,且各个虫态发育速率(V)拟合方程均符合线性方程模型:V卵期=0.125+0.048T, V幼虫期=0.023+0.012T, V蛹期0.027+0.013T, V成虫=0.073+0.47T。甘蓝夜蛾雌雄成虫的寿命随着日平均温度的升高而逐渐缩短,雌雄成虫寿命在日变温范围13~25℃时最长,分别为7.91 d和8.00 d;在变温范围22~34℃时最短,分别为3.00 d和3.57 d。甘蓝夜蛾卵、幼虫、蛹、成虫发育起点温度分别为7.98, 6.54, 9.36和10.78℃,有效积温依次为87.00, 607.36, 351.51和108.52 d·℃。16~28℃的变温范围更适合甘蓝夜蛾种群的生存与繁殖,其种群趋势指数I为117.81。【结论】甘蓝夜蛾属于偏低温适应性害虫,对高温环境适应能力较低。研究结果为进一步研究甘蓝夜蛾自然种群发生规律及其发生期、发生量预测预报提供了科学依据。  相似文献

【目的】本研究旨在探讨不同温度下菜豆象Acanthoscelides obtectus(Say)种群生长发育和繁殖的状况。【方法】在20,23,26,29和32℃下,测定了菜豆象各虫态的发育历期,用线性回归、Logistic模型以及"王-兰-丁"模型对温度与菜豆象各虫态之间的关系进行拟合;采用最小二乘法计算出各虫态的发育起点温度和有效积温,并组建了菜豆象在不同温度下的实验种群生殖力生命表。【结果】菜豆象各虫态的发育历期随着温度的升高而缩短,而发育速率与温度之间呈正相关,Logistic和"王-兰-丁"模型比一般线性模型更能拟合菜豆象发育速率与温度之间的关系。菜豆象全世代的发育起点温度和有效积温分别为6.44℃和858.22 d·℃;菜豆象产卵量、孵化率和存活率在26℃下最高,分别为52.71粒、82.67%和75.67%;在32℃下最低,分别为33.20粒、69.33%和41.67%。在20,23,26,29和32℃下内禀增长率rm值分别为0.05,0.07,0.08,0.09和0.08;净增殖率R0值分别为25.54,33.80,39.87,34.52和13.86。【结论】温度对菜豆象种群发育和繁殖具有显著影响,表明20~29℃是菜豆象生长发育和繁殖的最适温度范围。  相似文献

【目的】 研究阐明不同光周期条件下棉花粉蚧Phenacoccus solenopsis Tinsley实验种群的发育历期、繁殖和数量动态规律,为制定该虫防治对策、研究治理措施等提供科学依据。【方法】 以扶桑为寄主,在温度27±1℃、相对湿度70%±5%、光照强度4 000 lx及不同光周期(8L∶16D, 10L∶14D, 12L∶12D, 14L∶10D和16L∶8D)条件下,观察了棉花粉蚧实验种群的生长发育特性和繁殖能力,组建了实验种群生命表。【结果】 不同光周期处理下棉花粉蚧1龄若虫和3龄若虫的发育历期及雌成虫产仔量均发生了变化,但不同龄期若虫存活率之间差异不大。随着光照时间增加,棉花粉蚧1龄若虫、3龄若虫发育速率加快,8 h光照时发育历期分别为5.43 d和6.35 d,而16 h光照时发育历期分别缩短至4.16 d和4.75 d;整个若虫发育历期也由8 h光照时的15.54 d缩短至16 h光照时的12.74 d,世代历期由27.75 d缩短至23.45 d。长光照时雌虫更早进入产仔期,也有利于雌虫繁殖后代,16 h光照时进入产仔期是18日龄,8 和10 h光照时均推迟至22日龄;16 h光照时单雌产仔量为417.06头,明显高于12 ,10 和8 h光照时的353.59,347.61和336.00头。长光照条件下实验种群趋势指数(I)明显较大,增长潜能更大,16,10 和8 h光照时种群趋势指数分别为 175.37,133.94和141.99。该虫生命表参数表明,随着光照时间加长净增值率(R0)呈逐渐增大趋势,8, 10,12,14和16 h光照时分别为88.57,86.85,100.77,124.16和126.86;内禀增长率、周限增长率表现类似的规律,8~16 h光照时内禀增长率(rm)为0.1616~0.2066,周限增长率(λ)为1.1754~1.2294;而种群倍增时间(t)则随着光照时加长而缩短,8~16 h光照时为4.29~3.36 d。【结论】 长光照有利于棉花粉蚧生长发育和繁殖,世代历期缩短,种群增长潜能变强。  相似文献

采用大樱桃叶片饲养二斑叶螨Tetranychus urticae Koch,组建其在15,20,25,30和35℃下的实验种群生命表,分析温度对二斑叶螨种群动态的影响。结果表明:在试验的温度范围内,二斑叶螨的发育速率随着温度的升高而加快,并符合Logistic模型。二斑叶螨全世代的发育起点温度和有效积温分别为11.85℃和170.39日.度。计算出在不同温度下的实验种群的内禀增长率(rm)、净增殖率(R0)、周限增长率(λ)、世代平均周期(T)和种群加倍时间(t)等种群参数。  相似文献

通过对新疆阿克苏3类主栽模式核桃园系统调查发现:核桃黑斑蚜的天敌主要有草蛉、黑食蚜盲蝽、食蚜蝇、多异瓢虫和蜘蛛;间作作物对核桃黑斑蚜及其天敌的发生均有一定的影响;在核桃黑斑蚜发生初期,在核-麦-玉式核桃园中益害比最大,草蛉和蜘蛛发生量最多,种群数量分别为6.60头/百叶、0.20头/百叶,间作小麦最有利于增益控害,其次是间作棉花;在中后期,草蛉、多异瓢虫在核-棉式核桃园发生量较多,种群数量分别为6.01头/百叶、0.64头/百叶;黑食蚜盲蝽在核-麦-玉式核桃园中发生量较多,种群数量为1.08头/百叶;食蚜蝇和蜘蛛在无间作核桃园中的发生量较多,种群数量分别为0.51头/百叶、0.91头/百叶;但天敌不能阻止核桃黑斑蚜的大量发生,其种群数量在7月中旬达到高峰,平均种群数量达3000头/百叶以上。  相似文献

美洲斑潜蝇LiriomyzasativaeBlanchard和南美斑潜蝇Liriomyzahuidobrensis(Blanchard)是我国的2种重要入侵性害虫。本实验室在标准化流程下饲养了48(L.huidobrensis)-160(L.sativae)个世代的稳定实验种群。美洲斑潜蝇的实验种群需要较大的繁殖规模(>100对)才能保持群体的稳定性。2种斑潜蝇4个发育阶段的形态特征和幼虫为害特征差别明显。南美斑潜蝇的发育历期比美洲斑潜蝇长,总产卵量低于美洲斑潜蝇,但产卵历期明显长于美洲斑潜蝇。这可能是南美斑潜蝇较之容易繁殖的重要原因。该实验种群的建立为物种驯化、寄主选择性、抗性筛选及其它生理学、生态学等诸多研究打下基础。  相似文献

Increases in total dry-matter yield during bulb growth in well-irrigatedonion crops were correlated with the total solar radiation interceptedby the leaf canopy. The mean efficiency of conversion of interceptedradiation to dry-matter was 1.58 g MJ–1. However, efficiencieswere significantly different between seasons and in two yearsout of three they were lower for spring-sown crops than forautumn-sown crops. The lower efficiencies coincided with periodsof high mean temperature and irradiance. The percentage of thetotal irradiance intercepted by the canopy during bulbing (1%)was increased by higher plant densities, earlier sowing andin later-maturing cultivars. It was higher in spring-sown thanin autumn-sown crops especially at low plant densities. Theduration of bulb growth was negatively correlated with 1% andwith the mean air temperature during bulb growth. Consequentlyautumn-sown crops had a longer duration of bulb growth thanspring-sown crops and produced exceptionally high bulb yieldsat high plant densities. Non-irrigated crops had a lower 1%and a shorter duration of bulb growth than irrigated crops,and a lower conversion efficiency in a season of high mean temperatureand irradiance. Effects of artificial warming on phenology, individual leaf traits, vegetative growth, and reproduction of five alpine species (two deciduous and three evergreen shrubs) were investigated during three years in the mid-latitude alpine, northern Japan. Eleven open-top chambers (OTCs) were set up on a fellfield (1680 m a. s. l.) in the Taisetsu Mountains by which air temperature at plant height was increased by ca 2°C. Vaccinium uliginosum (deciduous shrub) showed earlier leaf emergence in every season and earlier flowering only in the first season in the OTCs. By contrast, acceleration of leaf emergence in the OTCs was not clear for other species, i.e. Arctous alpinus (deciduous shrub). Ledum palustre. V. vitis-idaea , and Empetrum nigrum (evergreen shrub). Both deciduous species showed longer leaf life-span in the OTCs every season. All evergreen species had higher leaf survival rates in the OTCs. indicating extension of leaf life-span. Leaf nitrogen concentration and leaf mass per unit leaf area (mg cm −2) generally tended to decrease in the OTCs. Relationships between the individual leaf traits and cumulative air temperature during the leaf developing period were not clear. Total leaf production during the three seasons increased in the OTCs in A. alpinus. L. palustre. V. vitis-idaea , and E. nigrum. All evergreen shrubs showed larger shoot growth in the OTCs but both deciduous shrubs did not show significant changes. In contrast to the vegetative growth, deciduous shrubs produced more flowers in the OTCs. Fruit production was not influenced by the OTCs for all species. The extension of photosynthetic period in the OTCs may contribute to the larger vegetative growth or flower production.  相似文献

The non-indigenous pest leaf miner Liriomyza huidobrensis and its close relatives L. bryoniae and L. strigata belong to a natural group. These species can be separated from one another by means of protein electrophoresis on a cellulose acetate membrane. The protocol for this diagnostic assay involves staining for two enzymes, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) and leucine-glycine peptidase (PEP). Other leaf miner species that might also be found under glass, Chromatomyia syngenesiae, C. horticola and the non-indigenous L. trifolii and L. sativae , are clearly distinguishable from the L. huidobrensis group of species by this assay. The effect of parasitism on L. huidobrensis by Dacnusa sibirica was investigated and shown unlikely to cause misidentification of the leaf miner host. Results obtained from practical use of the assay to identify unknown specimens from ports and nurseries are compared with those obtained from flies kept in laboratory culture and used during development of the assay. No new variation was found for G6PDH. New PEP variation was found for both L. huidobrensis and L. bryoniae but this did not affect the integrity of the assay. A biochemical key to these agromyzid leaf miners is presented.  相似文献

The pea leafminer, Liriomyza huidobrensis, is one of the most important economic insect pests around the world. Its population fluctuates greatly with seasonal change in China, and temperature was thought to be one of the important reasons. In attempt to further explore the impact of disadvantageous temperature on L. huidobrensis, 1-day-old adults were shocked at various temperatures (10, 25, 32, and 35 degrees C, respectively) for 4h, and the effects on thermotolerance, feeding, and fecundity were studied. Meanwhile the expression of five heat shock genes (hsp90, 70, 60, 40, and 20) was examined by real-time quantitative PCR. Our results showed that both 32 and 35 degrees C hardenings remarkably increased adult heat resistance, whereas cold tolerance was not improved accordingly. No cross resistance in response to cold and heat stresses was observed. Both adult feeding and fecundity were dramatically reduced, but no effect was observed on egg hatching, larval survival, pupal eclosion, or sex ratio. The results indicate that the deleterious effect on fecundity is the result of direct cessation of oviposition during the period of stress. Simultaneously, the mRNA levels of hsp70 and hsp20 significantly increased upon thermal hardening. Taken together, our results suggest that mild heat hardening improves thermotolerance of L. huidobrensis at the cost of impairment on fecundity, and the induced expression of hsp70 and hsp20 may play an important role in balancing the functional tradeoff.  相似文献

Enhanced influenza surveillance was implemented to analyze transmission dynamics particularly driving force of influenza transmission in a community during 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons in Odate City, Japan. In these two consecutive seasons, influenza A(H3N2) was the predominant influenza A subtype. Suspected influenza cases were tested by commercial rapid test kits. Demographic and epidemiological information of influenza positive cases were recorded using a standardized questionnaire, which included age or age group, date of visit, date of fever onset, and the result of rapid test kit. Epidemiological parameters including epidemic midpoint (EM) and growth rate (GR) were analyzed. In 2012/13 season, numbers of influenza A positive cases were significantly lower among preschool (212 cases) and primary school (224 cases) children than in 2011/12 season (461 and 538 cases, respectively). Simultaneously, total influenza A cases were also reduced from 2,092 in 2011/12 season to 1,846 in 2012/13 season. The EMs in preschool and primary school children were earlier than EMs for adult and all age group in both 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. The GR in 2012/13 season was significantly lower than that in 2011/12 season (0.11 and 0.18, respectively, p = 0.003). Multiple linear regression analysis by school districts revealed that GRs in both seasons were significantly correlated with the incidence of school age children. Our findings suggest that preschool and primary school children played an important role as a driving force of epidemics in the community in both 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. The reduction of total influenza A cases in 2012/13 season can be explained by decreased susceptible population in these age groups due to immunity acquired by infections in 2011/12 season. Further investigations are needed to investigate the effect of pre-existing immunity on influenza transmission in the community.  相似文献

The population dynamics of the cassava green mite Mononychellus tanajoa was studied on cassava during 35 weeks (early March to first of November 1989) in an experimental field near Lake Victoria in Western Kenya. The mite population peaked at the onset of the long dry season with 1,100 mites/leaf, declined sharply to a level of about 300 individuals/leaf, not to increase again until the next rainy season commenced. An indigenous phytoseiid predator Iphiseius degenerans was abundant during the dry spell with a maximum about 9 predators/leaf.A nonlinear regression analysis revealed that food depletion in combination with I. degenerans predation limited the population growth of the mites, whereas rain intensity had no effect. The predator exhibited no aggregative response to high densities of M. tanajoa and stayed mainly in the lower part of the canopy while the spider mites preferred the top, indicating that I. degenerans is a generalist predator without capacity to control M. tanajoa alone. However, in combination with another density dependent factor, such as food depletion, the predator may have prevented the spider mites from causing complete defoliation during the dry season.  相似文献

This study was undertaken to determine the current population size, structure and habitat preference of Soemmerring's gazelle [Nanger soemmerringii (Cretzschmar 1828)] in the Alledeghi Wildlife Reserve, NE Ethiopia. Animals were counted, both during dry and wet seasons, along 12 line transects each in three habitat types (grassland, tree‐scattered grassland and bushland) in 2015/16. Habitat type had nonsignificant effect on mean population density of Soemmerring's gazelle, but wet season mean density was significantly higher than dry season mean density. Estimated weighted mean (±95% CI) population density of the species in the reserve was 1.90 (±0.17) and 5.99 (±0.370) individuals/km2 during the dry and wet seasons, respectively. Total population size of the species in the Alledeghi Wildlife Reserve was estimated at 826 ± 77 and 2,562 ± 158 individuals during the dry and wet seasons, respectively. Over half of the total population of Soemmerring's gazelle was represented by adult females during both seasons. Seasonal habitat preference of Soemmerring's gazelle was statistically significant, with greater preference for grassland habitat during wet season and for bushland habitat during dry season. In conclusion, this study has provided valuable data that will be used as a baseline for future population monitoring.  相似文献

Effects of age and season on the developmental capacity of oocytes from unstimulated and FSH-stimulated rhesus monkeys were examined. Immature cumulus-oocyte complexes were matured in vitro in modified CMRL-1066 medium containing 20% bovine calf serum and subjected to in vitro fertilization followed by embryo culture. After fertilization, ova from unstimulated prepubertal monkeys displayed lower development to morula (4%) than those from unstimulated adult females (18% in breeding season and 22% in nonbreeding season). No developmental difference was found between ova from unstimulated adult monkeys in breeding and nonbreeding seasons. However, ova from FSH-primed prepubertal monkeys displayed greater development to blastocyst stage (54%) than those from adult monkeys in the breeding season (16%) and nonbreeding season (0%); and ova from FSH-primed adult females in the breeding season had significantly (P < 0.05) greater developmental competence than those obtained in the nonbreeding season (> or = morula stage, 54% vs. 3%; blastocyst stage, 16% vs. 0%). These data indicate that 1) rhesus monkey oocytes acquire developmental competence in a donor age-dependent manner, and 2) animal age and breeding season modulate the effect of FSH on oocyte developmental competence in the rhesus monkey.  相似文献

Growth, density, survival, and reproduction were examined for the population of the ghost shrimp, Callianassa japonica Ortmann, inhabiting an intertidal sandflat in western Kyushu, Japan, based on samples collected from May, 1989 to April, 1991. During the breeding season (June–October) each year, there were two discrete periods of egg production by females. The post-larval settlement, with a time-lag of 1–1.5 months (brooding plus larval developmental periods), generated two major recruitment cohorts, occurring in July–August (1st cohort) and September–November (2nd cohort). The higher growth rate of individuals after recruitment in the 1st cohort enhanced the separation of the two cohorts. Between sexes, the subsequent life history patterns and population characteristics were, for the most part, similar. In females, the majority of individuals of each of the two cohorts matured after approximately one year, respectively, at around a 20-mm total body length, and a portion of these cohorts survived as a fused cohort until June of the second year, breeding again prior to dying off by the end of September. The pattern of growth was an indeterminate type. For each of the two cohorts, the growth rates changed at two transition points of their life history, at around the beginning of their two breeding seasons. The growth rate for the 1st cohort slowed down at the first transition point, while that for the 2nd cohort speeded up there. This led to the approach and fusion of the two cohorts near the second transition point, when growth stopped. During periods other than the breeding seasons, high survival rates were exhibited by the two cohorts. During the first breeding season, a significantly low survival rate was observed for the 1st cohort, but not for the 2nd cohort. The degree of participation in breeding activity may be responsible for the above differences between cohorts. In the two male cohorts, while the cost of reproduction did not reduce the growth rates during the first breeding season, it lowered their survival rates more severely compared to those of females. This may be responsible for the slightly female-biased sex ratio in the population (1.06:1). The density of the population as a whole was stable throughout the study period, with the mean ± SD being 901 ± 157/m2 (n = 27); the adult population declines during the breeding seasons were effectively replenished by recruitment each year.  相似文献
