Three-month-old plants of Physalis alkekengi, Atropa belladonna and Hyoscyamus niger were fed via the roots with either d( + ) or l( - )-hygrine-[2′- 14C]. The feeding experiments were terminated after 7 days when the following alkaloids were isolated from the paired groups of plants: tigloidine, 3α-tigloyloxytropane and cuscohygrine from Physalis; hyoscyamine from Hyoscyamus and from Atropa. In contrast to Datura these genera appear to use both hygrine enantiomers in the biosynthesis of the tropane ring.  相似文献

Five-month-old Datura innoxia plants were fed via the roots with either d(+)-hygrine-[2′-14C] or l(?)-hygrine-[2′-14C]. After 7 days the root alkaloids 3α,6β-ditigloyloxytropane, 3α,6β-ditigloyloxytropan-7β-ol, hyoscine, hyoscyamine and cuscohygrine were isolated from both groups of plants. d(+) but not l(?)-hygrine acts as a precursor for the tropane alkaloids whereas both enantiomers appeared to serve equally well in the biosynthesis of cuscohygrine.  相似文献

Alkaloidal profiles of 21 Lupinus species indigenous to North and South America have been determined. Nineteen quinolizidine alkaloids were identified, including aphyllidine and N-methylcytisine, which have not previously been found in the genus. Two dipiperidine alkaloids were also detected. The pattern of alkaloidal distribution is related to a taxonomic classification of the genus.  相似文献

Leaf and root collections of Duboisia hopwoodii were made from Alice Springs in central and Western Australia. From D. hopwoodii collected at Alice Springs were isolated nornicotine, nicotine, myosmine and N-formylnornicotine; cotinine, N-acetylnornicotine, anabasine, anatabine, anatalline and bipyridyl were detected by GC/MS. Root material contained hyoscyamine, scopolamine, nicotine and nornicotine; N-formylnornicotine was detected by GC/MS. D. hopwoodii from Western Australia yielded nicotine, nornicotine, hyoscyamine and metanicotine. Root material contained nornicotine, hyoseyamine, myosmine and N-formylnornicotine, GC/MS detected cotinine and N-acetylnornicotine.  相似文献

Two new 4-quinazolone alkaloids have been isolated from seed husks of Zanthoxylum arborescens. Based on their spectroscopic properties they have been assigned structures, 1-methyl-3-(2′-phenylethyl)-1H,3H-quinazoline-2,4-dione and 1-methyl-3-[2′-(4″-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]-1H,3H-quinazoline-2,4-dione. These structural assignments have been confirmed by synthesis. Skimmianine has been obtained from leaf extracts of Z. dimoncillo and Z. caribaeum while skimmianine and scopeletin have been isolated from leaf extracts of Z. fagara.  相似文献

The callus tissues from 11 representative species of the Papaveraceae and the redifferentiated plantlets from four species were successfully derived and maintained. The alkaloids in the callus tissues and redifferentiated plantlets were examined in comparison with those of the original plants. All the callus tissues are similar in their alkaloid chemistry and contain benzophenanthridine, protopine and aporphine type alkaloids. By contrast, the plantlets have a more specific alkaloid pattern, being similar in content to the original plants.  相似文献

Isoorientin, isoorientin-4′-O-glucoside, gentiopicrin, xanthones with 1,3,5,8 or 1,3,7,8-oxidation pattern have been isolated from five North American Gentiana species (G. affinis, G. algida, G. calycosa, G. detonsa, G. strictiflora) and one South American species (G. cerastioides). Separations were achieved with droplet counter-current chromatography (DCCC) or centrifugally accelerated preparative TLC. The distribution of the isolated compounds within the genus is discussed.  相似文献

The chemical constituents of three Mexican Esenbeckia species have been determined. Rutaevin was the main limonoid present in the seeds of all three species, E. litoralis, E. flava and E. berlandieri. The husks, leaves, wood and bark contained a wide array of known furocoumarins and furoquinoline alkaloids. In addition, 1-hydroxy-3-methoxy-N-methylacridone was obtained from E. litoralis bark and a new natural 2-quinolone alkaloid, formulated as 3,3-diisopropyl-N-methyl-2,4-quinoldione, was obtained from E. flava wood. The structure was assigned from spectroscopic considerations and conversion to N-methylhaplofoline.  相似文献

Roots of Mandragora autumnalis and M. vernalis contain hyoscyamine, hyoscine, cuscohygrine, apoatropine 3α-tigloyloxytropane and 3,6-ditigloyloxytropane. Belladonnine is present in the dried roots but could not be detected in fresh roots. No major differences were found in the alkaloids present in the two species. This is the first time the presence of tiglic acid esters has been reported in Mandragora species and the significance of this in the chemotaxonomy of the genus is indicated.  相似文献

Thirteen South American species of Erythroxylum have been analyzed for their cocaine content. Cocaine was found only in E. coca Lam., E. novogranatense (Morris) Hieron. and E. novogranatense var. truxillense (Rusby) Machado. Argemone fruticosa Thurber ex Gray was analyzed and found to contain hunnemanine as the major alkaloid along with allocryptopine. A. echinata G. B. Ownb. was found to contain cryptopine and berberine as major alkaloids. These analyses indicate that these two species belong among the more specialized species of the genus.  相似文献

Zanthoxylum williamsii (Rutaceae) was found to contain (+)-asaranin, (+)-sesamin, esculetin dimethyl ether, nitidine, chelerythrine, magnoflorine, laurifoline, skimmianine and edulinine. The quaternary alkaloid fraction of Z. monophyllum contained berberine, magnoflorine, chelerythrine and a 1,2,9,10-substituted dihydroxydimethoxy-N,N-dimethylaporphinium salt. Leaves of Z. fagara were found to contain synephrine. Leaves of each species were examined for the presence of bishordeninyl terpene alkaloids, but none was found. Some chemotaxonomic relationships among Zanthoxylum species are discussed.  相似文献
