Perianth parts, in particular, tepals of Echinocereus triglochidiatus var. gurneyi yielded a complex mixture of dihydroflavonols and dihydroflavonol 7-O-glucosides. Dihydroquercetin and its 7-O-glucoside were the predominant compounds while dihydrokaempferol and dihydromyricetin and their 7-O-glycosides were present in lesser amounts. Quercetin 7-O-glucoside was the principal flavonol glycoside: others present were quercetin and kaempferol 3-O-glucosides and 3-O-rhamnosylglucosides. The epidermis and spines yielded only traces of presumed flavonols as determined by two-dimensional TLC. No flavonoids were detected in the cortex tissue. This is the first report of dihydroflavonol derivatives from the Cactaceae and constitutes the first record of flavonoids from Echinocereus.  相似文献

Mayaca is an aquatic monocot of the monogeneric family Mayacaceae. The flavonol glycosides quercetin 3-O-glucoside, quercetin 3-O-rutinoside, and kaempferol 3-O-glucoside, and the flavone luteolin 5-O-glucoside were found in methanolic leaf extracts. The presence of flavonol and flavone O-glycosides sets the Mayacaceae apart from the Commelinaceae, which accumulates predominantly flavone C-glycosides.  相似文献

Eleven O-methylated derivatives of kaempferol, quercetin and quercetagetin were isolated from the dichloromethane leaf-wash of Balsamorhiza deltoidea. Four of these compounds represent new reports from either Balsamorhiza or Wyethia: 6-hydroxykaempferol 7-O-methyl ether, quercetin 3′,4′-O-dimethylether, quercetagetin 7-O-methyl ether, and quercetagetin 3,6,7-O-trimethyl ether. We also confirmed the presence of two isoflavones, santal and orobol 3′-O-methyl ether, in W. mollis. The 8-C-prenylated derivatives of naringenin, eriodictyol, and dihydroisorhamnetin were also identified as constituents of W. mollis. The vacuolar flavonoid fraction of Balsamorhiza deltoidea and Wyethia helenioides was shown to consist of simple mono and diglycosides of kaempferol and quercetin.  相似文献

Blue flowers of six Bhutani Meconopsis species, M. bhutanica, M. bella, M. horridula, M. simplicifolia, M. primulina and M. polygonoides, were surveyed for anthocyanins and other flavonoids. Four anthocyanins were isolated and identified as cyanidin 3-O-sambubioside-7-O-glucoside (1), cyanidin 3-O-[xylosyl-(1 → 2)-(6″-malonylglucoside)]-7-O-glucoside (2), cyanidin 3-O-sambubioside (4) and cyanidin 3-O-[xylosyl-(1 → 2)-(6″-malonylglucoside)] (5). On the other hand, 12 flavonols were isolated from their Meconopsis species with various combination and characterized as kaempferol 3-O-glycosides (812), kaempferol 3,7-O-glycosides (1316), quercetin 3-O-glycosides (17 and 18) and isorhamnetin 3-O-glycoside (19). Of six Meconopsis species which were surveyed in this experiment, anthocyanin and flavonol composition of five species except for M. horridula was clarified for the first time. Their Meconopsis species showed the different flavonoid profiles, respectively, and flavonoid diversity within the glycosylation level of Meconopsis flowers were indicated.  相似文献

From the aerial parts of Helichrysum chasmolycicum P.H Davis, which is an endemic species in Turkey, the flavonoids apigenin, luteolin, kaempferol, 3,5-dihydroxy-6,7,8-trimethoxyflavone, 3,5-dihydroxy-6,7,8,4′-tetramethoxyflavone, apigenin 7-O-glucoside, apigenin 4′-O-glucoside, luteolin 4′-O-glucoside, luteolin 4′,7-O-diglucoside, kaempferol 3-O-glucoside, kaempferol 7-O-glucoside and quercetin 3-O-glucoside were isolated. The methanol extract of the aerial parts of H. chasmolycicum showed antioxidant activity by DPPH method (IC50 0.92 mg/mL). Antimicrobial activity test was performed on the B, D, E extracts and also 3,5-dihydroxy-6,7,8-trimethoxyflavone and kaempferol 3-O-glucoside which were the major flavonoid compounds obtained from aerial parts of H. chasmolycicum by microbroth dilutions technique. The E (ethanol-ethyl acetate) extract showed moderate antimicrobial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, B (petroleum ether-60% ethanol-chloroform) extract and 3,5-dihydroxy-6,7,8-trimethoxyflavone showed moderate antifungal activity against Candida albicans.  相似文献

More than 50 collections of 12 species forming the A. ptarmica group have been analysed for their leaf flavonoids. C-Glycosylflavones (iso-orientin and derivatives, vicenins and lucenins) were found to be the main components, whereas flavonol 3-O-glycosides (based on quercetin and kaempferol) and flavone 7-O-glycosides (based on luteolin and diosmetin) were of restricted distribution. Infraspecific variability regarding C-glycosylflavones was observed in most of the taxa investigated. By contrast, flavonol 3-O-glycosides appeared to be stable characters and were sometimes accumulated instead of C-glycosylflavones. In addition to the flavonoids, the geographical distribution patterns and the possible origin of the A. sibirica in Eastern Asia are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Kaempferol and quercetin 3-O-glycosides were found in the closely related species, Parthenium hysterophorus, P. bipinnatifidum and P. glomeratum; the major aglycone flavonols in P. hypterophorus are quercetagetin 3,7-dimethyl ether and a new flavonoid, 6-hydroxykaempferol 3,7-dimethyl ether. The North-South American species-pair P. glomeratum (Argentina) and P. bipinnatifidum (Mexico) yielded quercetagetin 3,7,3′-trimethyl ether as the major aglycone. The desert species P. rollinsianum yielded five methylated flavonols: quercetin 3,3′-dimethyl ether, penduletin, quercetagetin 3,6,7-trimethyl ether, polycladin and artemetin.  相似文献

Thirty-one accessions of nine species belonging to three subgenera of Ocimum (basil, family Lamiaceae) were surveyed for flavonoid glycosides. Substantial infraspecific differences in flavonoid profiles of the leaves were found only in O. americanum, where var. pilosum accumulated the flavone C-glycoside, vicenin-2, which only occurred in trace amounts in var. americanum and was not detected in cv. Sacred. The major flavonoids in var. americanum and cv. Sacred, and also in all other species investigated for subgenus Ocimum, were flavonol 3-O-glucosides and 3-O-rutinosides. Many species in subgenus Ocimum also produced the more unusual compound, quercetin 3-O-(6″-O-malonyl)glucoside, and small amounts of flavone O-glycosides. The level of flavonol glycosides produced was reduced significantly in glasshouse-grown plants, but levels of flavone glycosides were unaffected. A single species investigated from subgenus Nautochilus, O. lamiifolium, had a different flavonoid glycoside profile, although the major compound was also a flavonol O-glycoside. This was identified as quercetin 3-O-xylosyl(1‴→2″)galactoside, using NMR spectroscopy. The species investigated from subgenus Gymnocimum, O. tenuiflorum (=O. sanctum), was characterised by the accumulation of flavone O-glycosides. These were isolated, and identified as the 7-O-glucuronides of luteolin and apigenin. Luteolin 5-O-glucoside was found in all nine species of Ocimum studied, and is considered to be a key character for the genus.  相似文献

The European dewberry (Rubus caesius) is a perennial shrub that is widely distributed in Europe but can also be found in North America. In folk medicine, the European dewberry is used to treat hyperglycaemia, diarrhoea and inflammation. LC-MS analysis of the European dewberry confirmed the presence of 35 compounds, mostly flavonoids, phenolic acids and derivatives of ellagic acid. Phytochemical analysis of R. caesius leaves led to the isolation of nine phenolics, namely: quercetin 3-O-β-D-rutinoside (1), kaempferol 3-O-β-D-glucuronide (2), quercetin 3-O-β-D-glucuronide (3), methyl brevifolincarboxylate (4), kaempferol 3-O-β-D-(6″-O-(E)-p-coumaroyl)-glucoside (5), kaempferol (6), quercetin (7), pedunculagin (8), and ellagic acid (9). Compounds 18 were isolated from this species for the first time. The chemophenetic significance was discussed.  相似文献

The flavonoid pattern of the monotypic Turkish genus Leucocyclus consists of C-glycosylflavones (isovitexin; isoorientin and derivatives; several di-C-glycosylapigenins; schaftoside, isoschaftoside and vicenin-3; lucenin-2), of flavonol 3-O-glycosides (quercetin and kaempferol 3-O-rhamnoglucoside) and trace amounts of luteolin 7-O-rhamnoglucoside. The systematic significance of the flavonoid diversification within Leucocyclus as well as possible relationships to other genera of the Anthemideae are discussed.  相似文献

During a survey of 6 Eurasian and 10 South American Briza species for leaf flavonoids, 27 components were found. Twelve of these were identified: tricin 5-glucoside, tricin 7-glucoside, quercetin 3-glucoside, kaempferol 3-glucoside, vitexin, isovitexin, orientin, iso-orientin, and the 4′-O-glucoside of all 4 glycoflavones, 3 of which are reported for the first time. The Eurasian species, with the exception of Briza maxima, are remarkably uniform in their flavonoid pattern, accumulating mainly vitexin and isovitexin; whereas the South American species are characterized by the presence of orientin, iso-orientin and 9 unidentified flavonoids. In Briza media and the South American species, ploidy level is shown to play a large part in flavonoid variation. Examination of 12 diploid and 8 autotetraploid plants of B. media revealed that diploids accumulate vitexin and isovitexin, whereas tetraploids accumulate orientin and iso-orientin, autotetraploidy having apparently upset regulatory genes in the formation of the flavone C-glycosides. Mild alkaline treatment of both isovitexin and iso-orientin was found to give 100% conversion to the corresponding 8-C-glucoside.  相似文献

Flavonoid pigments have been identified in the swallowtail butterfly Eurytides marcellus and its larval foodplant Asimina triloba (Annonaceae). Although quercetin 3-glycoside, quercetin 3-rutinoside and quercetin 3-rutinoside-7-glucoside are present in the plant, only quercetin 3-glucoside is sequestered by the insect. Flavonoids have also been found in 10 out of 27 other papilionid species examined. These were mainly 3- and 7-glycosides of the flavonols quercetin and kaempferol. The sequestration of flavonoids by papilionid butterflies appears to be related both to the phylogeny of the Papilionidae and to the choice of larval foodplants by the various phylogenetic groups.  相似文献

Heterogaura is a monotypic genus of the tribe Onagreae of the Onagraceae. It is endemic to south western Oregon and California. Four flavonol glycosides, kaempferol 3-O-rhamnoside, quercetin 3-O-glucoside, quercetin 3-O-rhamnoglucoside and myricetin 3-O-glucoside, were found to occur in methanolic leaf extracts of each of the populations sampled. The presence of only flavonols is consistent with flavonoid analyses from other genera of the Onagreae, including Clarkia, the closest relative of Heterogaura.  相似文献

Kaempferol and quercetin 3-O-glucosides and 3-O-rhamnoglucosides are common to both Loxsoma cunninghamii and Loxsomopsis costaricensis, but in the former the new flavonoid glycosides, kaempferol and quercetin 3-O-glucoside-7-O-arabinoside have also been identified. The data are consistent with the proposed taxonomic relationship between these geographically isolated genera. Comparative flavonoid chemistry indicates that the Loxsomaceae may be a primitive family, not closely related to the Hymenophyllaceae or the Cyatheaceae.  相似文献

Documentation of amentoflavone O-glucosides as the predominant flavonoid glycosides in both genera of the Psilotaceae clearly distinguishes this family from all other families of vascular plants. Psilotum and Tmesipteris also possess apigenin C- and O-glycosides as common flavonoid types. Apigenin 7-O-rhamnoglucoside occurs in both genera and the previously undocumented apigenin 7-O-rhamnoglucoside-4′-O-glucoside, although identified only in Tmesipteris, may also be present in Psilotum. The existence of flavone C-glycosides in both genera may provide a phytochemical relationship between the Psilotaceae and some ferns. The phylogenetic significance of these results is discussed.  相似文献

5,2′,5′-Trihydroxy-3,7,4′-trimethoxyflavone-2′-O-glucoside, a major flavonoid constituent of Chrysosplenium americanum Schwein. ex Hooker was conjugated to bovine serum albumin (BSA) by the diazo reaction in good yield and with a molar ratio of 11.5:1. Antibody raised against the latter conjugate had a titer value of 1:1600 and was found to be specific for the 2′-O-glucosides of tri- and tetramethoxyflavones. Some cross reactivity (about 55%) was observed against the pentamethoxyflavone-5′-O-glucoside; but almost none with the parent hydroxyflavone, quercetin, or any of its partially methylated (3,7,4′-tri- or 3,7,3′,4′-tetramethyl-) derivatives. The specificity of antibodies raised against the 2′-O-glucosides of Chrysosplenium makes them useful for the intracellular localization of these natural constituents.  相似文献

Five flavonols, four flavones and one C-glycosylflavone were isolated from the leaves of Cathcartia villosa which is growing in the Himalayan Mountains. They were characterized as quercetin 3-O-vicianoside (1), quercetin 7,4′-di-O-glucoside (3), quercetin 3-O-rutinoside (4), quercetin 3-O-glucoside (5), quercetin 3-O-arabinosylarabinosylglucoside (6) (flavonols), luteolin (7), luteolin 7-O-glucoside (8), apigenin (9), chrysoeriol (10) (flavones), and vicenin-2 (11) (C-glycosylflavone) by UV, LC-MS, acid hydrolysis, NMR and/or HPLC and TLC comparisons with authentic samples. On the other hand, two flavonols 1 and kaempferol 3-O-vicianoside (2) were isolated and identified from the flowers of the species. Flavonoids were reported from the genus Cathcartia in this survey for the first time. Their chemical characters were chemotaxonomically compared with those of related Papaveraceous genera, Meconopsis and Papaver.  相似文献
