A new species of Phylloscopus warbler from Hainan Island, China

Phylloscopus hainanus is a distinctive new species in the family Sylviidae. The species is endemic to Hainan Island, China, where it is restricted to tropical forest in mountains above 600 m. The most distinctive plumage features are the rather deep yellow underparts and the mainly white outer rectrices.

Selaginella hainanensis X.C.Zhang & Noot. sp. nov. , a new species from Hainan Island, South China, is described and illustrated. Three new species of Solicorynespora from Hainan, China

Three previously undescribed Solicorynespora species were collected from tropical forests in Hainan Province, China. S. melicopes sp. nov., S. linderae sp. nov. and S. fici sp. nov. are described and illustrated from specimens collected on dead branches of Melicope triphylla, Lindera communis and Ficus auriculata, respectively. They are compared with closely related taxa. A dichotomous key and a synoptic table to Solicorynespora species are provided.     

海南产齿裂菌属（斑痣盘菌目）一新种

报道源自中国海南省尖峰岭国家森林公园山铜材落叶上的齿裂菌属一新种,即山铜材齿裂菌Coccomyces chuniae。对该种进行了描述、图解和讨论。模式标本保藏于安徽农业大学森林菌物标本室（AAUF）。     

A new species of Cryptolepis (Periplocoideae, Apocynaceae) from Arabia

A new species of Cryptolepis from Yemen, Arabian Peninsula, C. yemenensis is described and figured. It is recognized by the glabrous appearance of the plant, oblong-elliptic to narrowly obovate leaves, small flowers, small follicles and ridged seed. The new species resembles Cryptolepis gillettii Hutch. & E.A. Bruce and C. volubilis (Balf f.) Schwartz to some extent. Their flowers are die, except for size and different corona shapes. However, they differ with regard to the shape and size of the follicles, the texture of the seed coat and the absence or presence of vesture on the plants.     

A new species of Rhytidocaulon (Apocynaceae) from Somalia

Rhytidocaulon baricum, sp. nov., from open rocky limestone slopes in northeastern Somalia, is described and illustrated.     

Three new species of Neosporidesmium from Hainan, China

Three species of the anamorphic fungus Neosporidesmium were collected from tropical forests in Hainan province, China. N. malloti sp. nov., N. xanthophylli sp. nov. and N. antidesmae sp. nov., and occurring, respectively, on dead branches of Mallotus hookerianus, Xanthophyllum hainanense and Antidesma ghaesembilla, are described and illustrated. A key to Neosporidesmium species is provided.

A new species of Aspidosperma Mart. (Apocynaceae) from Bahia, Brazil

A new species,Aspidosperma thomasii, collected in the vicinity of Uruçuca is described. It belongs to subgenusAspidosperma sectionAspidosperma and is closely related to theA. parvifolium A. DC. group.     

A new species of Maytenus section Gymnosporia (Celastraceae) from Hainan Island,China

Maytenus dongfangensis , a new species of Maytenus section Gymnosporia from Hainan Island, China, is described and illustrated. It is most similar to M. longlinensis, from which it differs in its glabrous rachis, deltoid sepals, 2 stigmas, and obconical capsules. A key to the species of Maytenus section Gymnosporia in China is provided. No claim to original Chinese Government works. 中国海南内生拟盘多毛孢

2004 至 2005 年期间,从我国海南地区 95 种植物中分离鉴定了 43 种内生拟盘多毛孢,包括 5 个新组合,16 个内生拟盘多毛孢新记录种。5 个原归在盘多毛孢属 Pestalotia 的种重组到拟盘多毛孢属Pestalotiopsis 中,它们是二色拟盘多毛孢 P. bicolor,金鸡纳树拟盘多毛孢 P. cinchonae,密花拟盘多毛孢P. lambertiae,草原拟盘多毛孢 P. pampeana 和露兜树拟盘多毛孢 P. pandani。对 5 个新组合进行了重新描述和图解,其它 16 个内生拟盘多毛孢新记录种列出名录。     

Bulbophyllum wuzhishanensis (Orchidaceae), a new species from Hainan, China

Bulbophyllum wuzhishanensis, a new species from Hainan, China, is described and illustrated. The new species is probably related toBulbophyllum ledungense, but differs from it by having a long inflorescence, a column without stelids, and a longer lip.

A new species of Cryptolepis is described from Kenya and Tanzania. 海南皱鞘天牛属一新种（鞘翅目：天牛科，沟胫天牛亚科）

记述采自海南的沟胫天牛亚科皱鞘天牛属Parapolytrechus Breuning一新种：黄跗皱鞘天牛P. flavotarsus Wang et Zheng, sp.nov.。模式标本保存于南开大学生物系昆虫标本室。     

Gymnemopsis phuwuaensis (Apocynaceae,Asclepiadoideae), a new species from northeastern Thailand

A new species, Gymnemopsis phuwuaensis A. Kidyoo, has been discovered in northeastern Thailand and is here described and illustrated. An identification key to all species of the genus is provided. Photographs and a diagnostic comparison with the morphologically similar species G. calcicola Kerr, are also provided. Gymnemopsis phuwuaensis displays clear differences in form and color of the corolla as well as in size of bract and flower. A lectotype for Gymnemopsis pierrei is also designated.
