NEW SPECIES AND NEW RECORD OF DIPSOCOROMORPHA (HEMIPTERA:HETEROPTERA) FROM CHINA

Three species of Dipsocoromorpha found from China are reported in this paper.The type material of new species is preserved in the Shanghai Institute of Entomology,Shanhai, China excepting a part of the paratypes in collection of Nankai University,Tianjin, China.

THE BITING MIDGES OF CAMBODIA,WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF TWO NEW SPECIES(DIPTERA:CERATOPOGONIDAE)

A lot of biting midges collected from Cambodia (Phnom-penh, Komp- ong Som, Suong) in Ⅱ-Ⅳ, 1976 were studied. A total of 16 species belong-ing to 2 genera——Leptoconops and Culicoides are obtained. Among them, 2species are described as new to ecience and 10 species are new records forCambodian fauna. A new revised list of biting midges containing 20 speciesare known from Cambodia up to date. It shows that the record of Culicoidesinnoxius Sen et Das Gupta, 1959 from Cambodia is the new synonym ofCulicoides malagae Macfie, 1937. All type specimens are deposited in theDepartment of Parasitology, Second Military Madical College, Shanghai,China.     

STUDIES ON THE TAXONOMY AND ZOOGEOGRAPHY OF THE CHINESE ORETINAE (LEPIDOPTERA: DREPANIDAE)

NEW GENUS AND SPECIES OF CALYPTERATE FLIES FROM XINJIANG CHINA

In this paper, one new genus and six new species of Anthomyiidae, one new species each of families Muscidae, Calliphoridae and Sarcophagidae are reported. All of them were collected from Xinjiang District. Holotypes are preserved in Shanghai Institute of Entomology, Academia Sinica.     

ON THE CHINESE CROESIA HUBNER (LEPIDOPTERA: TORTRICIDAE) WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF FIVE NEW SPECIES

NINE NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS STYLOTERMES FROM CHINA (Isoptera)

The present paper deals with nineteen species of the genus Styloter mes from China, in which some species are revised. They are summarized in the following key, in which nine species are described as new to science. Stylotermes choui is named in honour of Professor Chou Io, Chief Editor of Entomotaxonomia. All type specimens are kept in Guangdong Institute of Entomology.     

NEW SPECIES AND SUBSPECIES OF CHINESE PLATYCORYNUS (COLEOPTERA: EUMOLPIDAE)

Six species and one subspecies of Chinese Platycorynus Chevr. are here describedas new. All the type specimens of new species are deposited in the Institute of Zoology,Academia Sinica, those of the new subspecies are deposited in the Kunming Institute ofZoology, Academia Sinica.     

SPECIES DIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY STRUCTURE OF SUCKING LICE IN YUNNAN, CHINA

On the basis of investigating 9 counties (towns) in Yunnan Province of China, the species diversity and community structure of sucking lice on the body surface of small mammal hosts are studied in the paper. Species richness (S) is used to stand for the species diversity. The calculation of community diversity index and evenness are based on Shannon-Wiener‘s method. 2745 small mammals captured from the investigated sites belong to 10 families, 25 genera and 41 species in 5 orders (Rodentia, Insectivora, Scandentia, Logomorpha and Carnivora) while 18165 individuals of sucking lice collected from the body surface of the small mammal hosts are identified into 4 families, 6 genera and 22 species. The species of sucking lice are much less than the species of their hosts. Most species of small mammals have their fixed sucking lice on their body surface. One species of small mammals usually have few species of sucking lice (1 to 4 species). The close species of the hosts in the taxonomy are found to have the same or similar dominant species of sucking lice on their body surface. The results reveal that the species diversity of sucking lice on small mammals is very low with a very simple community structure. The results also imply there may be a close co-evolution relationship between the lice and the hosts.

NOTES ON THE GENUS RETICULITERMES HOLMGREN FROM GUIZHOU PROVINCE,CHINA(ISOPTERA:RHINOTERMITIDAE)

FURTHER STUDY ON OSTRACODES FROM THE TAIYUAN FORMATION OF XINGYANG, GONGXIAN AREA, HENAN

The ostracodes were collected from the Taiyuan Formation of Xingyang, Gongxian area ,Henan. They comprise 35 species in 24 genera, of which 13 species in 7 genera are reported for the first time from China and 8 species in 2 genera are identified as planktonic elements.
