No longer a circumtropical species: revision of the lizardfishes in the Trachinocephalus myops species complex,with description of a new species from the Marquesas Islands

Trachinocephalus, a formerly monotypic and nearly circumtropical genus of lizardfishes, is split into three valid species. Trachinocephalus gauguini n. sp. is described from the Marquesas Islands and is distinguished from the two other species in the genus by having a shorter snout, a narrower interorbital space, larger eye and modally fewer anal‐fin and pectoral‐fin rays. The distribution of Trachinocephalus myops (type species) is restricted to the Atlantic Ocean and the name Trachinocephalus trachinus is resurrected for populations from the Indo‐West Pacific Ocean. Principal component analyses and bivariate plots based on the morphometric data differentiated T. gauguini from the other two species, but a substantial overlap between T. myops and T. trachinus exists. Phylogenetic evidence based on mtDNA COI sequences unambiguously supports the recognition of at least three species in Trachinocephalus, revealing deep divergences between the Atlantic Ocean, Indo‐West Pacific Ocean and Marquesas entities. Additional analyses of species delimitations using the generalized mixed Yule coalescent model and the Poisson tree processes model provide a more liberal assessment of species in Trachinocephalus, indicating that many more cryptic species may exist. Finally, a taxonomic key to identify the three species recognized here is provided.

Six new species of the genus Dicranosepsis Duda (Diptera, Sepsidae) from Vietnam, with a revised key to the species

The flies of the genus Dicranosepsis from Vietnam were investigated and classified taxonomically. Six new species (D. longa sp. nov., D. kurahashii sp. nov., D. monoseta sp. nov., D. sinuosa sp. nov., D. barbata sp. nov., and D. vietnamensis sp. nov.) are described and illustrated. Dicranosepsis is redefined and a revised key to the species is also provided.     

A new species of Selaginella from Hainan Island, China, with a key to the Hainan species

Selaginella hainanensis X.C.Zhang & Noot. sp. nov. , a new species from Hainan Island, South China, is described and illustrated. 云南百合科球子草属一新种———粗穗球子草

对中国云南百合科一新种———粗穗球子草Peliosanthes pachystachya W.H.Chen&Y.M.Shui进行了描述和绘图。该新种的匍匐茎具长约18cm的节间,与匍匐球子草P.sinica Wang&Tang接近,但因叶具9-13条叶脉,花梗长9-10mm,无小苞片,花被片卵状三角形而明显不同。该新种因花被片卵状三角形,苞片披针形,也近似于长苞球子草P.ophiopogonoides Wang&Tang,但匍匐茎长,叶具9-13条叶脉,花梗长9-10mm,花葶和花序均较短而不同。     

贵州卷柏属(卷柏科)一新种——习水卷柏

描述了贵州卷柏属一新种,即习水卷柏Selaginella xishuiensis G. Q. Gou &; P. S. Wang。新种与蔓出卷柏S. davidii Franch.在体态和大小方面相近,但叶缘具睫状毛而不同;新种在体态上也与地卷柏S. prostrata H. S. Kung相似,但孢子叶一型而不同。     

四川无心菜属（石竹科）一新种

描述了四川无心菜属（石竹科）一新种——道孚无心菜Arenaria dawuensis A. J. Li&Q. Ban。该种具纺锤形根,聚伞花序,花柱2,线形而与纟遂瓣无心菜A. fimbriata（E. Pritz. ）Mattf. 相近,但叶匙形,萼片边缘具长缘毛,花瓣短于萼片,顶端细流苏状而不同。

Caryophyllene derivatives and a heliangolide from Lychnophora species

The investigation of three Lychnophora species afforded three new caryophyllenic acids and a new heliangolide closely related to 15-desoxygoyazensiolide. All three species contain lupeol, lupeyl acetate and eremanthine. The chemotaxonomic situation is discussed briefly.     

Sesquiterpenoids of fourteen Plagiochila species

The distribution of ent-2,3-secoaromadendrane-, ent-aromadendrane-, ent-bicyclogermacrane- and ent-maaliane-type sesquiterpenoids in fourteen Plagiochila species is described. These sesquiterpenes are the significant chemosystematic markers of Plagiochila. The intense pungent substance of some Plagiochila species is due to an ent-2,3-secoaromadendrane-type sesquiterpene hemiacetal, plagiochiline A.

对中国兰科植物新种云南巾唇兰Pennilabium yunnanense S.C.Chen&Y.B.Luo作了 描述和绘图。该新种与P.acuminatum（Ridley）Holttum较为接近,区别点在于具较小的花朵 ,直径仅3cm;花瓣白色且上面有深紫色斑点,以及唇瓣侧裂片顶端有流苏。     

Meiothermus timidus sp. nov., a new slightly thermophilic yellow-pigmented species

Several yellow-pigmented isolates, with optimum growth temperatures between 55 and 60 degrees C, were recovered from hot springs in Central Portugal and the Azores. Phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rDNA showed that these organisms represented a new species of the genus Meiothermus. The new isolates could be distinguished from other strains of the species of the genus Meiothermus by biochemical characteristics and the fatty acid composition because they had very high levels of iso C15:0 and iso C17:0 and very low levels of anteiso C17:0 and iso C16:0. On the basis of the results presented here we propose the name Meiothermus timidus for the new species represented by strains SPS-243(T) (=LMG 22897(T)=CIP 108604(T)), RQ-10 and RQ-12.     

湖北无心菜属(石竹科)一新种——神农架无心菜

描述了湖北省神农架地区发现的石竹科一新种——神农架无心菜Arenaria shennongjiaensis Z. E. Zhao &; Z. H. Shen,并绘出了线图。该种与秦岭无心菜A. giraldii (Diels) Mattf.相近,为柔弱草本,具纺锤形块根,花瓣顶端齿裂;不同之处在于其茎有1列腺毛,花瓣顶端具4齿裂,裂片又2浅裂。     

Veronica fridericae,a new species from eastern Turkey

Veronica fridericae spec. nova, described from the type locality in the S.E. Turkish province Van, is related toV. acrotheca andV. farinosa, both endemic to W. Iran. All 8 perennial species with pinnatifid leaves in S.W. Asia are presented in a key.     

银缕梅物种濒危度的定量分析

采用二级模糊综合评判法进一步分析现存个体和居群数均极少的中国金缕梅科一新属种──银缕梅的物种濒危度。首先挑选对小种群绝灭有影响的随机干扰因素,建立了包括２０个评价指标在内的因素集。然后通过对评价指标定量化和权分配一系列处理,并通过最初一、二层的综合评判,求得濒危度和保护等级,进而确定物种的濒危状态及其在省级和国家级的保护序次。研究结果表明,二级模糊综合评判的方法十分灵敏,可操作性强,它能比较准确地反映植物物种实际濒危状况。     

陕西鸟巢兰属一新种--太白山鸟巢兰

对中国陕西产的兰科新种太白山鸟巢兰Neottia taibaishanensis P H．Yang ＆ K．Y．Lang作了描述和绘图。本新种与尖唇鸟巢兰N acuminata相似,但整个植株为灰黑色,花序轴被贴伏银灰色长柔毛,萼片、花瓣和唇瓣灰黑色而边缘为灰白色,唇瓣宽倒卵形或近圆形,先端具短尖而不同。
