In the present paper, the possibility of the application of marine macroalga Ulva (Enteromorpha) prolifera, as microelemental feed supplement for livestock, was evaluated. The concept was based on two facts: the natural macroalga contains high concentrations of microelements and there is a possibility to greatly increase this content via biosorption. In order to characterize the biosorption process of metal ions by U. prolifera, preliminary experiments were conducted with Cr(III) ions. The effect of temperature, pH and the biomass concentration on the equilibrium of biosorption was investigated. For further experiments (biosorption of Mn(II), Zn(II), Cu(II), Co(II)), the following experimental conditions were chosen: pH 5, 25°C, the biomass concentration 1.0 g l−1. Equilibrium of the biosorption process could be described by the Langmuir equation. The theoretical maximum biosorption capacity was also determined by potentiometric titration of the biomass. The investigation of the external structure of the macroalga and atomic concentration of elements on the surface of the biomass was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. The content of microelements in the biomass after biosorption increased 110,555; 44,228; 21,177; 2,281 and 1,458 times for Co(II), Cr(III),Cu(II), Zn(II), Mn(II), respectively. Therefore, biomass of U. prolifera enriched with individual microelements, mixed in the proper proportion could be used as feed supplement in animal feeding to cover the nutrient requirements for microelements.  相似文献

In this paper, the effect of addition of the biomass of Spirulina maxima enriched with copper (Sm-Cu) to the animal feed is discussed. The biomass was cultivated in the photobioreactor with the capacity of 10 m3. After the biosorption process, the enriched biomass was investigated as the source of valuable nutrients. The feeding experiment was conducted for 87 days. The study was performed in individual rearing pens, with controlled microclimate, feed and water were available semi-ad libitum. Piglets (24) were divided into two groups (control and experimental). The experimental group was fed with addition of the biomass of Sm-Cu instead of inorganic salts. There were no statistically significant differences between the average daily and periodic weight gain, daily and periodic feed collection, as well as feed conversion ratio. There were no statistically significant differences between the amount of N excreted in faeces and urine, when considering the retention of N, both in relation to the consumed N, and relative N digested which was at a similar level. In the experimental group in comparison to the control group, the lower low-density lipoprotein cholesterol by 17.05 % (P?<?0.05) and total cholesterol by 9.43 % (P?<?0.05) were observed. Additionally, the increase of parameter a* of 13 % (P?<?0.05) and the reduction of the natural leakage by 34 % (P?<?0.05) were found.  相似文献

The paper discusses biosorption of Cr(III), Cu(II), Mn(II), Zn(II) and Co(II) to the biomass of Chlorella vulgaris, to produce a biologically bound, concentrated form of microelements. The kinetics of biosorption was described with a pseudo-second order equation and equilibrium with the Langmuir isotherm. The mechanism of biosorption was identified as cation-exchange with alkaline metals. Cation-exchange capacity was evaluated as 4.07 meq g−1. The effect of operation conditions, pH and temperature, on biosorption performance was investigated and the best operation conditions for biosorption were selected (pH 5, temperature 25 °C). The maximum sorption capacity of microelements was determined in single-metal system at pH 5 and 25 °C: Zn(II) 3.30 meq g−1, Cu(II) 1.77 meq g−1, Co(II) 1.75 meq g−1, Cr(III) 1.74 meq g−1, Mn(II) 0.764 meq g−1. Biosorption experiments were also carried out in multi-metal system. The biomass of C. vulgaris enriched with microelements via the process of biosorption in both single- and multi-metal system was discussed in terms of preparation of feed supplement for laying hens and piglets. The experiments showed that 1 kg of conventional feed for laying hens can be supplemented with 0.20 g of the biomass enriched with microelements and for piglets with 0.15 g of the preparation.  相似文献

In the present study, biosorption and bioaccumulation characteristics of Riccia fluitans to be use as biological mineral feed supplement, was investigated. Preliminary studies showed that R. fluitans was rich in protein (27-31%) and possessed high cation exchange capacity (14.5 mequiv g(-1)) and therefore it has the potential to find an application as biological carrier of microelements that are supplied to feed of animals, the diet of which is deficient in these components. In the present study, various processes of enrichment with microelements of crystalwort were investigated, including biosorption, bioaccumulation by non-growing and growing cells in single-(Cr(III) ions) and multi-metal system (Cr(III), Cu(II), Mn(II), Zn(II) ions). The effect of process parameters (temperature and pH) on metal ions binding efficiency was studied in single-metal system. It was found that at 20 degrees C and pH5 the biomass bound 106 mg g(-1) Cr(III) ions. The experimental results showed that the mostly advantageous process of metal ions binding was biosorption, the process that is also the mostly cost-effective.  相似文献

The aim of this article was to investigate the interactions of metal cations in aqueous solutions with the biomass of the freshwater macroalga Vaucheria sp. This problem is important when elaborating new applications of biosorption, e.g. the production of mineral feed additives for livestock from the biomass of algae enriched with microelement ions. Potentiometric titration was applied as a quick and cheap screening test to search for new efficient biosorbents. It revealed a variety of functional groups capable of cation exchange on the macroalgal surface, including carboxyl, phosphate, hydroxyl or amino groups. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy on natural and chromium‐loaded Vaucheria sp. confirmed that carboxyl groups played a dominant role in the biosorption. The study also showed that Ca(II), Na(I), K(I), and Mg(II) ions were released from the biomass after biosorption of Cu(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), and Co(II) ions, indicating that ion exchange was a key mechanism in the biosorption of metal ions by Vaucheria sp. biomass. It was noticed that the mass of the microelement cations bound by the macroalga was proportional to the total mass of light metal ions [Na(I), K(I), Ca(II), and Mg(II)] released from the biomass.  相似文献

Biosorption of heavy metals by distillery-derived biomass   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Biomass derived from the Old Bushmill's Distillery Co. Ltd., Northern Ireland was harvested and examined for its ability to function as a biosorbent for metals such as Cu, Zn, Fe, Pb and Ag. Binding studies were carried out using biosorption isotherm analysis. Although the material had previously been shown to be capable of efficient U biosorption, its affinity for Cu, Zn, Fe was lower. However, binding studies with Pb demonstrated that it had a maximum biosorption capacity for that metal of 189?mg/g dry weight of the biomass. In addition, the biomass exhibited a maximum biosorption capacity of 59?mg/g dry weight for Ag and this compared very favourably with previously quoted values for other industrial sources of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. On the basis of the biosorption isotherm analyses carried out in this study, preference for this series of metals by the biomass was found to be Pb?>?U?>?Ag?>?Zn?≥?Fe?>?Cu.  相似文献

Arthrospira (Spirulina) platensis was tested for biosorption properties. Preliminary experiments concerning biosorption kinetics were performed on Cr(III) ions. Equilibrium of biosorption was tested for Cr(III), Mn(II) and Mg(II) ions, since these elements are crucial for animals with metabolic disorders. In our study, Spirulina was proposed as a feed additive for animals suffering from diseases characterized by insulin dysregulation, abnormal adipose distribution and a high risk for laminitis. Maximum biosorption capacity of A. platensis, determined from Langmuir equation, was 45.2 for Cr(III), 44.3 for Mn(II) and 42.0 mg/g for Mg(II) ions. Biosorption of Mg(II) ions by microalga has never been studied so far. Finally, the raw and enriched microalgal biomass was examined by ICP-OES to determine its multielamental analysis before and after biosorption, FTIR to indicate functional groups that participated in biosorption and SEM-EDX to illustrate the binding of metal ions on the surface of algal biomass. ICP-OES showed that the content of elements significantly increased in the enriched A. platensis. FTIR spectroscopy evidenced that biosorption of metal ions was mainly due to carboxylate groups present on the microalgal cell wall. SEM analysis clearly showed that biosorption occurred. Arthrospira platensis turned out to be a good biosorbent of metal ions.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of dietary copper (Cu) on mineral profile, hematological parameters, and lipid metabolism in lambs. Eighteen Zandi male lambs (approximately 3 months of age; 17.53?±?1.6 kg of body weight) were housed in individual pens and were assigned randomly to one of three treatments. Treatments consisted of (1) control (no supplemental Cu), (2) 10 mg Cu/kg dry matter (DM) from copper sulfate (CuS), and (3) 10 mg Cu/kg DM from Cu proteinate (CuP). The Cu concentration was 8.2 mg/kg DM in the basal diet. Blood was sampled from the jugular vein at the beginning of the study (enrollment, before feeding Cu supplement) and at days 25, 50, and 70 of experiment. The amounts of total serum glucose, urea nitrogen, calcium, phosphorus, iron, copper, zinc, and lipids and hematological parameters were measured. Average daily gain and feed efficiency were improved (P?<?0.05) with Cu supplementation and were better for the lambs fed diet supplemented with CuP. The concentrations of serum Ca, P, and Zn were not affected by source of Cu in the diet. However, Fe concentration was lower (P?<?0.01) in the Cu-supplemented groups. Experimental treatment had no significant effects on the hematological parameters. The serum glucose concentration was not affected by treatments. However, the urea nitrogen concentrations were significantly affected (P?<?0.05) by added Cu and was lower for CuP group as compared to the lambs in the CuS and control groups. Addition of Cu had no influence (P?>?0.05) on the serum triglyceride concentration, but lambs fed with CuP supplement had lower (P?<?0.05) serum cholesterol than the CuS and control animals. These results indicated that CuP supplemented at 10 mg/kg DM improved gain and enhanced the efficiency of nitrogen in male lambs.  相似文献

Abstract

This study evaluates the biosorption of copper by aerobic biomass that was selected from surface waters of the San Pedro River in Sonora, Mexico. Using a batch system, 73% biosorption of copper was obtained in 75 minutes. Continuous biosorption assays were carried out for 133 days in an ascending flow aerobic reactor packed with zeolite (AFAR-PZ) that was inoculated with a bacterial consortium. Strains were grown until 1g L?1 of biomass was obtained. Tests using continuous biosorption were performed as follows: (i) the addition of 50 mg Cu2+ L?1 without recirculation of biomass; (ii) the addition of 20 mg Cu2+ L?1without recirculation of biomass; and (iii) the biomass were recirculated with the addition of 20 mg Cu2+ L?1 to pH 3 to 4. The fourth and fifth assays varied pH between 4 and 5, with 20 mg Cu2+ L?1and the biomass recirculated. Biosorption capacity of the first and second assays was 96% on the first day of experimentation. During the third trial 97% of biosorption was obtained during 6 days and the process was improved by varying the pH. Copper biosorption equilibrium was investigated under the same operating conditions. Langmuir adsorption isotherms were used to fit experimental data. The biosorption capacity of aerobic biomass was 3.08 mmol g?1. It was demonstrated that this biomass is capable of biosorbing copper and this method has potential for the treatment of industrial effluents contaminated with heavy metals.  相似文献

This study focuses on the possible use of Aspergillus fumigatus to remove acid violet 49 dye (AV49) from aqueous solution. In batch biosorption experiments, the highest biosorption efficiency was achieved at pH 3.0, with biosorbent dosage of 3.0 gL?1 within about 30 min at 40 °C. The Langmuir and Freundlich models were able to describe the biosorption equilibrium of AV49 onto fungal biomass with maximum dye uptake capacity 136.98 mg g?1. Biosorption followed a pseudo-second-order kinetic model with high correlation coefficients (R 2?>?0.99), and the biosorption rate constants increased with increasing temperature. Thermodynamic parameters indicated that the biosorption process was favorable, spontaneous, and endothermic in nature, with insignificant entropy changes. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy strongly supported the presence of several functional groups responsible for dye–biosorbent interaction. Fungal biomass was regenerated with 0.1 M sodium hydroxide and could be reused a number of times without significant loss of biosorption activity. The effective decolorization of AV49 in simulated conditions indicated the potential use of biomass for the removal of color contaminants from wastewater.  相似文献

In this study, a low-cost biosorbent, dead mushroom biomass (DMB) granules, was used for investigating the optimum conditions of Pb(II), Cu(II), and Ni(II) biosorption from aqueous solutions. Various physicochemical parameters, such as initial metal ion concentration, equilibrium time, pH value, agitation speed, particles diameter, and adsorbent dosage, were studied. Five mathematical models describing the biosorption equilibrium and isotherm constants were tested to find the maximum uptake capacities: Langmuir, Freundlich, Redlich-Peterson, Sips, and Khan models. The best fit to the Pb(II) and Ni(II) biosorption results was obtained by Langmuir model with maximum uptake capacities of 44.67 and 29.17 mg/g for these two ions, respectively, whereas for Cu(II), the corresponding value was 31.65 mg/g obtained with Khan model. The kinetic study demonstrated that the optimum agitation speed was 400 rpm, at which the best removal efficiency and/or minimum surface mass transfer resistance (MSMTR) was achieved. A pseudo-second-order rate kinetic model gave the best fit to the experimental data (R2 = 0.99), resulting in MSMTR values of 4.69× 10?5, 4.45× 10?6, and 1.12× 10?6 m/s for Pb(II), Cu(II), and Ni(II), respectively. The thermodynamic study showed that the biosorption process was spontaneous and exothermic in nature.  相似文献

Compared to other domestic bird species, geese exhibit the lowest reproductive efficiency (poor semen quality, low egg production, and poor fertility and hatchability rates). From an economic perspective, it is a necessity of improve these reproductive traits. Studies have demonstrated that the essential trace element—selenium—plays key roles in testicular development and the maintenance of spermatogenesis. The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of feed supplementation with organic selenium and vitamin E on ganders’ response to manual semen collection and semen quality. Sixteen 3-year-old White Koluda ganders were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was provided commercial feed while the experimental group was provided with the same commercial feed supplemented with selenium (0.3 mg/kg) and vitamin E (100 mg/kg). The response of individual ganders from both groups to manual semen collection and the quality of the semen collected were evaluated. The supplements increased (P?≤?0.05) the frequency and decreased the time interval of a complete ejaculatory response of the ganders to manual semen collections (82.7 % supplement vs. 73.5 % control). Males from the supplemented group had significantly higher (P?≤?0.01; P?≤?0.05) ejaculate volumes, sperm concentrations, and percentages of viable sperm and lower percentages of immature sperm (spermatids). Lipids peroxidation, expressed in terms of the malondialdehyde concentration, was lower (P?≤?0.01) in semen of the supplemented group (0.172 nmol/50?×?106) as compared to the controls (0.320 nmol/50?×?106). Moreover, the duration of the reproductive period of the ganders in the experimental group was 1 week longer. The results show that supplemental dietary selenium and vitamin E improved both the ganders’ response to manual semen collection and semen quality. We conclude that such feed supplementation could lead to greater economic benefits through increased reproductive efficiency within the goose production industry.  相似文献

Two species of cyanobacteria, Oscillatoria laete-virens (Crouan & Crouan) Gomont and Oscillatoria trichoides Szafer, were isolated from a polluted environment and studied for their Cr6+ removal efficiency from aqueous solutions. The parameters studied included the solution pH, contact time, initial concentration of Cr6+ and culture density. Living biomass is more efficient than dead biomass in Cr6+ removal. Removal by living biomass involves bioreduction and biosorption. Below pH 3.1, bioreduction is favored and biosorption is dominant at higher pH. The highest removal through biosorption for living biomass was achieved between pH 5 and 5.9 and for dead biomass at pH 2. The maximum removal was on the tenth day of exposure for both the species. Cr6+ removal increased from 0.2 to 0.4 g L?1 of culture biomass with a decrease with further increase in biomass. Increased Cr6+ concentration decreases growth of both the species over time. Both species tolerate a concentration as high as 30 mg L?1 Cr6+. There was no evidence of bioreduction in the case of dead biomass. Living biomass of O. laete-virens followed both Langmuir and Freundlich models with maximum sorptive capacity (q max) of 21.88 mg g?1. The results of dead biomass were well fitted only to Langmuir isotherm. O. trichoides living biomass did not follow either of the isotherms, but removed the metal to a maximum extent of 38.7mg g?1. The removal was better described by Freundlich isotherm in case of dead biomass. The pseudo-first-order model describes the kinetics better than the pseudo-second-order model in the case of living biomass. Participation of carboxylic, carbonyl, and amino groups in Cr6+ removal was confirmed by FTIR analysis. Both species seem to be promising biosorbents for Cr6+.  相似文献

The objectives of this study were to determine (1) the individual ad libitum intake of mineral mix by beef cows managed under a year-long, fall-calving, forage-based production regimen and (2) if Se form in the mineral mix affected the blood Se concentrations of cows and suckling calves. Twenty-four late-gestation (6 to 8 months) Angus-cross cows (2.7?±?0.8 years; body weight [BW]?=?585?±?58 kg) were blocked by BW and randomly assigned (n?=?8) to a mineral supplement treatment (TRT) containing 35 ppm Se as either inorganic (ISe; sodium selenite), organic (OSe; Sel-Plex®), or a 1:1 combination of ISe/OSe (MIX). Cows commonly grazed a 10.1-ha predominately tall fescue pasture and had individual ad libitum access to TRT using in-pasture Calan gates. Cows calved from August to November and calves had common ad libitum access to creep feed and a mineral supplement that lacked Se. Cow jugular blood was taken at 28-day intervals (13 periods) and calf blood was taken with cows from birth through weaning. Individual cow mineral mix (mean?=?54.0?±?7.0 g/day, range?=?97.3 to 27.9?±?7.4 g/day) and Se (mean?=?1.82?±?0.25 mg/day, range?=?3.31 to 0.95?±?0.25 mg/day) intakes were affected by period (P?<?0.0001), but not by cow Se TRT (P?>?0.30). Cow blood Se (0.109 to 0.229?±?0.01 μg/mL) was affected (P?<?0.002) by period, Se form, and their interaction, with ISe?< MIX for periods 8 and 11, ISe?<?OSe for all periods except period 1, and MIX?<?OSe for periods 2 to 4, 7, 8, 10, and 12. Calf blood Se (in micrograms Se per milliliter) was correlated with cow blood Se and affected (P?<?0.0001) by cow Se TRT, with ISe (0.07 to 0.11)?<?MIX (0.10 to 0.15)?=?OSe (0.16 to 0.19). These data reveal that (1) mean supplemental ad libitum cow mineral intake was 36 % less than the typical formulation intake expectations (85 g/day) and, correspondingly, mean supplemental Se intake was 33 % less than that allowed by the FDA and (2) cow Se TRT differentially affected both cow and calf blood Se concentrations, resulting in adequate concentrations for all cows but inadequate concentrations for ISe calves.  相似文献

Abstract

The present study aims at evaluating a batch scale biosorption potential of Moringa oleifera leaves (MOL) for the removal of Pb(II) from aqueous solutions. The MOL biomass was characterized by FTIR, SEM, EDX, and BET. The impact of initial concentrations of Pb (II), adsorbent dosage, pH, contact time, coexisting inorganic ions (Ca2+, Na+, K+, Mg2+, CO32?, HCO3?, Cl?), electrical conductivity (EC) and total dissolved salts (TDS) in water was investigated. The results revealed that maximum biosorption (45.83?mg/g) was achieved with adsorbent dosage 0.15?g/100?mL while highest removal (98.6%) was obtained at adsorbent biomass 1.0?g/100?mL and pH 6. The presence of coexisting inorganic ions in water showed a decline in Pb(II) removal (8.5% and 5%) depending on the concentrations of ions. The removal of Pb(II) by MOL decreased from 97% to 89% after five biosorption/desorption cycles with 0.3?M HCl solution. Freundlich model yielded a better fit for equilibrium data and the pseudo-second-order well described the kinetics of Pb(II) biosorption. FTIR spectra showed that –OH, C–H, –C–O, –C?=?O, and –O–C functional groups were involved in the biosorption of Pb(II). The change in Gibbs free energy (ΔG = ?28.10?kJ/mol) revealed that the biosorption process was favorable and thermodynamically driven. The results suggest MOL as a low cost, environment-friendly alternative biosorbent for the remediation of Pb(II) contaminated water.  相似文献

In the egg production industry, trace elements are required as additional dietary supplements to play vital roles in performance and egg quality. Compared to inorganic microelements (ITs), appropriate dose of organic trace microelements (OTs) are environmentally friendly and sufficient to satisfy the needs of hens. In order to evaluate the extent to which low-dose OTs replace whole ITs, the effects of organic copper, zinc, manganese, and iron compound on the performance, eggshell quality, antioxidant capacity, immune function, and mineral deposition of old laying hens were investigated. A total of 1 080 57-week-old Jing Hong laying hens were assigned to five groups with six replicates of 36 layers each for an 8-week experimental period. The birds were fed either a basal diet (control treatment (CT)) or the basal diet supplemented with commercial levels of inorganic trace elements (IT 100%) or the equivalent organic trace elements at 20%, 30%, and 50% of the inorganic elements (OT 20%, OT 30%, and OT 50%, respectively). Results showed that compared with those in the CT treatment, feeding hens with inorganic or organic microelement diet had significant effects on the eggshell quality, antioxidant capacity, immune function, and mineral deposition of old laying hens (P < 0.05). The eggshell strength and ratio between OT 30%, OT 50%, and IT 100% were similar at weeks 4 and 8, and the eggshell thickness of these groups was also similar at weeks 6 and 8. At week 8, the eggshell colour in OT 50% was darker than that in IT 100%. The mineral content in the eggshells of OT 50% and IT 100% significantly increased (P < 0.001), with no significant difference in effective thickness, mammillary thickness, and mammillary knob width between groups. There were no differences in the malondialdehyde content, total antioxidant capacity, and total superoxide dismutase activity in serum between OT 30%, OT 50%, and IT100%. While the catalase activities, the interleukin-1β, interleukin-10, immunoglobulin G, and immunoglobulin M concentrations in serum were not significantly different between OT 50% and IT 100%. The mineral contents in the faeces of the organic groups were considerably reduced compared with those in IT 100% (P < 0.001). In conclusion, dietary supplementation with 30–50% organic compound microelements has the potential to replace 100% inorganic microelements in the hen industry for improving eggshell quality, mineral deposition in the eggshell, antioxidant capacity, and immune function, and reducing emissions to the environment without negative effects on laying performance.  相似文献

This study aimed to compare the effects of organic (proteinate) and inorganic (sulphate) copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) supplements, in presence or absence of a mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) supplement, on mineral solubility and digestibility in pigs. Twenty-eight barrows (25 ± 4 kg) assigned randomly to four treatment groups were fed a corn-wheat-soya bean meal diet with 10 mg/kg of Cu and 100 mg/kg of Zn supplied as organic or inorganic supplement, and supplemented or not with 0.1% MOS. After an adaptation period, total faeces and urine were collected for a period of 6–7 days. Pigs were then euthanatised and digesta from ileum and caecum were collected. Apparent digestibility was calculated in ileum and caecum using titanium dioxide. The organic mineral supplement improved total (faecal) digestibility and retained/ingested ratio of Cu (p < 0.05) while reducing apparent digestibility of Zn in the ileum (p < 0.05) without effect on total digestibility of Zn. Solubilities of Cu and Zn in liquid fraction of ileum and caecum were not affected by mineral sources. Although MOS supplement increased Cu solubility in the ileum (< 0.05), it had no effect on digestibility of Zn and Cu in ileum, caecum and faeces, retained/ingested ratio of Zn and Cu, or pH and volatile fatty acid concentration in ileal and caecal digesta. In conclusion, organic mineral supplement improved total digestibility and retained/ingested ratio of Cu in pigs but this cannot be attributed to its solubility in ileal and caecal digesta. The MOS supplement did not interfere with digestibility or dietary utilisation of Zn and Cu in pigs fed above the Zn and Cu requirements.  相似文献

Oscillatoria anguistissima showed a very high capacity for Zn2+ biosorption (641 mg g−1 dry biomass at a residual concentration of 129·2 ppm) from solution and was comparable to the commmercial ion-exchange resin IRA-400C. Zn2+ biosorption was rapid, pH dependent and temperature independent phenomenon. Zn2+ adsorption followed both Langmuir and Freundlich models. The specific uptake (mg g−1 dry biomass) of metal decreased with increase in biomass concentration. Pretreatment of biomass did not significantly affect the biosorption capacity of O. anguistissima. The biosorption of zinc by O. anguistissima was an ion-exchange phenomenon as a large concentration of magnesium ions were released during zinc adsorption. The zinc bound to the biomass could be effectively stripped using EDTA (10 mM) and the biomass was effectively used for multiple sorption–desorption cycles with in-between charging of the biomass with tap water washings. The native biomass could also efficiently remove zinc from effluents obtained from Indian mining industries.  相似文献

This study investigates the equilibrium, kinetics and thermodynamics of Nickel(II) biosorption from aqueous solution by the fungal mat of Trametes versicolor (rainbow) biomass. The optimum biosorption conditions like pH, contact time, biomass dosage, initial metal ion concentration and temperaturewere determined in the batch method. The biosorbent was characterized by FTIR, SEM and BET surface area analysis. The experimental data were analyzed in terms of pseudo-first-order, pseudo-secondorder and intraparticle diffusion kinetic models, further it was observed that the biosorption process of Ni(II) ions closely followed pseudo-second-order kinetics. The equilibrium data of Ni(II) ions at 303, 313, and 323 K were fitted to the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Langmuir isotherm provided a better fit to the equilibrium data andthe maximum monolayer biosorption capacity of the T. versicolor(rainbow) biomass for Ni(II) was 212.5 mg/g at pH 4.0. The calculated thermodynamic parameters, ΔG, ΔH, and ΔS, demonstrated that the biosorption of Ni(II) ions onto the T. versicolor (rainbow) biomass was feasible, spontaneous and endothermic at 303 ~ 323 K. The performance of the proposed fungal biosorbent was also compared with that of many other reported sorbents for Nickel(II) removal and it was observed that the proposed biosorbent is effective in terms of its high sorption capacity.  相似文献

An experiment was conducted in a 3?×?3?+?1 factorial experiment based on a completely randomized design to evaluate the effects of different sources of copper on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and elemental balance in young female mink on a corn–fishmeal-based diet. Animals in the control group were fed a basal diet (containing 8.05 mg Cu/kg DM; control), which mainly consisted of corn, fish meal, meat bone meal, and soybean oil, with no copper supplementation. Minks in other nine treatments were fed basal diets supplemented with Cu from reagent-grade copper sulfate, tribasic copper chloride (TBCC) and copper methionate. Cu concentrations of experiment diets were 10, 25, and 40 mg/kg copper. A metabolism trial of 4 days was conducted during the last week of experimental feeding. Final body weight and average daily gain increased (linear and quadratic, P?<?0.05) as Cu increased in the diet; maximal growth was seen in the Cu25 group. Cu supplementation slightly improved the feed conversion rate (P?=?0.095). Apparent fat digestibility was increased by copper level (P?=?0.020). Retention nitrogen was increased by copper level (linear, P?=?0.003). Copper source had a significant effect on copper retention with Cu-Met and copper sulfate treatments retention more than TBCC treatments (P?<?0.05). Our results indicate that mink can efficiently utilize added dietary fat and that Cu plays an important role in the digestion of dietary fat in mink, and mink can efficiently utilize Cu-Met and CuSO4.  相似文献
