The paper is devoted to study of methods for evaluation of the state of depressive patients by the parameters characterizing the rate of their speech. It is found that elongation of mean durations of pauses and decrease of mean durations of clear speech at the height of pathologic process testify to the presence of depressive affect of anguish. Short pauses with long portions of clear speech are typical for the patients with affects of alarm. In the study of psychomotor disturbances of depressive patients it was shown that the motor component was the most reflected in such characteristic of the speech rate as mean duration of clear speech and the ideatory one--in mean duration of pauses. Analysis of speech rate characteristics confirmed the significance of the ideatory inhibition in diagnostics of alarm endogenous depressions and ideatory excitation at psychogenic variants.  相似文献

The interhemispheric asymmetry of electrocortical components of the orienting reaction (the amplitude and latency of P300) were studied in the projection (occipital) and associative (central) areas in 8 subjects who were capable for adequate prediction under conditions of different information significance and 6 subjects with prediction problems. Under conditions of relevant stimulation, the amplitude asymmetry was more expressed and the latency of P300 in the central areas of both hemispheres was considerably shorter in good predictors than in bad ones. The rostrocaudal activation gradient was more expressed in good than in bad predictors, especially, under conditions of high information importance. It is suggested that the observed asymmetry in persons with prediction problems is related with nonspecific activation of subcortical structures and in good predictors it is caused by the local neocortical activation.  相似文献

Possible involvement of systemic regulation of the photosynthetic properties of young leaves by the local environments and/or photosynthate production of the mature leaves were examined using Phaseolus vulgaris plants. When primary leaves (PLs) were treated with air containing 150 microL CO2 L(-1) with the other plant parts in ambient air at a photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) of 300 micromol photon m(-2) s(-1), decreases in the photosynthetic rate measured at 360 microL CO2 L(-1) and a PPFD of 300 micromol photon m(-2) s(-1) (A360) were markedly retarded in both PLs and the first trifoliate leaves (TLs) as compared to plants treated with 400 microL CO2 L(-1). Conversely, when PLs were treated with 1000 microL CO2 L(-1), decreases in A360 were accelerated in both PLs and TLs. Shading of PLs accelerated the decrease in PL A360, and delayed the decrease in TLs. In the CO2 treatments, changes in A360 in TLs were mainly attributed to the changes in ribulose bisphosphate (RuBP) carboxylation rate, while the shading of PLs caused increases in both the RuBP carboxylation and regeneration rates in TLs. The ribulose 1.5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (Rubisco) activity on chlorophyll basis, an indicator of sun/shade acclimation, differed both among PLs and among TLs in accordance with the redox state of photosystem II (PSII) in PLs. Although carbohydrate contents of TLs were not affected by any manipulation of PLs, changes in the photosynthetic capacities of TLs acted to compensate for changes in PL photosynthesis. These results clearly indicate that the CO2 and shade treatments of PLs not only affect photosynthetic properties of the PLs themselves, but also systemically affected the photosynthetic properties of TLs. Possible roles of the redox state and photosynthate concentration in PLs in regulation of photosynthesis in PLs and TLs are discussed.  相似文献

Features of spatial organization of neocortical potentials were studied in subjects with different decision-making time during performing the task of memorizing and subsequently reproducing, on a monitor screen, a sequence of signals. The subjects with a short decision-making time differed from those with a long decision-making time in a higher level of the intra- and interhemispheric coherence in alpha EEG frequency band different neocortical areas during reproduction of a signal sequence (coherence in the frontal, central and parietal areas; coherence between the right central and the left frontal, central, parietal, occipital and temporal areas; coherence between the left occipital and both the frontal areas).  相似文献

Evoked potentials (EPs) to light were studied in groups of patients with tumours of basal-diencephalic localization (24 patients) and at the brain-stem level (24 patients), in comparison with 11 normal subjects. In the first group, a decrease of amplitude and increase of response duration were found in the frontal cortical areas, with simultaneous reduction of intrahemispheric differences due to decrease of low-frequency components in the EP spectra by amplitude in fronto-central parts, and of alpha- and beta-frequencies in the occipital parts of the hemispheres. EP changes resulting from brain-stem tumors were more expressed than in the case of cerebellar tumors. In patients with foci causing a pronounced irritation of the brain-stem, a decrease in responses amplitude was observed accompanied by an amplitude lowering of delta- and theta-frequencies in EPs-spectra in the frontal, central and temporal leads, with no changes in the occipital leads. The obtained data testify to functional inequivalence and independence of different EP frequency components suggesting that the methods of studying the EP frequency structure are informative and efficient.  相似文献

EEG spectral power was calculated in 39 students at the age of 19-21 years in two experimental conditions: during the common educational process and immediately before an examination (stress condition). During the education process, in subjects with high anxiety (tested by Spielberger) the relative spectral power of the delta activity was higher than in the other group in the occipital, parietal, central, and right frontal brain areas, whereas the power of the EEG alpha in these areas was lower. Before examination tests, in subjects with high activity the delta power bilaterally increased in the temporal areas, whereas in subjects with low anxiety there was a decrease in the alpha rhythm power, especially in the right frontal area. In stress condition, the relative power of the delta activity in both occipital and temporal, right parietal and central areas was higher in subjects with low anxiety, whereas their alpha power was lower in both frontal and in occipital, parietal, and temporal areas of the left hemisphere.  相似文献

Kinetics of cytosolic recombinant human glyoxalase II and bovine liver mitochondrial glyoxalase II were studied in the presence of liposomes made of different phospholipids (PLs). Neutral PLs such as egg phosphatidylcholine or dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine did not affect the enzymatic activity of either enzymatic form. Liposomes made of dioleoyl phosphatidic acid or cardiolipin or phosphatidylserine also did not affect the enzymatic activity of mitochondrial glyoxalase II. Conversely, these negatively charged PLs exerted noncompetitive inhibition on cytosolic glyoxalase II only, dioleoyl phosphatidic acid and bovine brain phosphatidylserine exerting the highest and lowest inhibition, respectively. Binding studies, carried out by using a resonant mirror biosensor, revealed that liposomes made of negatively charged PLs interact specifically with both enzymatic forms of glyoxalase II, whereas interactions were not detected with neutral PLs. Once bound on glyoxalase II, negatively charged liposomes could not be removed by 3 M NaCl, suggesting that interactions between glyoxalase II and negatively charged PLs, besides ionic, may be also hydrophobic. These data suggest a possible role of negatively charged phospholipids in the regulation of level of lactoylglutathione in the cell. The data are also discussed in terms of a possible regulation of reduced glutathione supply to mitochondria.  相似文献

Prolonged cold storage of raw milks favors the growth of psychrotrophs, which produce heat-resistant exoenzymes of considerable spoilage potential; the bacterial proteases and lipases affect raw milk quality; among them phospholipases (PLs) may target the milk fat globule. More importantly, bacterial PLs are key virulence factors for numerous species. Two studies examined the use of nitrogen (N(2)) gas and examined its effect on psychrotrophs, proteases and lipase producers when the milk was stored in closed vessels; however, the effect on PLs producers is unknown. Here we show that by considering an open system the PLs producers were sooner or later excluded in raw milk (whereas the PLs producers in the non-treated controls culminated at 10(8)CFU/ml), by effective gas treatments that bring oxygen (O(2)) levels in milk lower than 0.1ppm. No increase of the PLs producers among the anaerobes was noticed during the course of the experiments. In the experiments performed at 6.0 degrees C, the delay after which the PLs producers were no longer detectable seemed independent of the initial level of PLs producers in raw milk (lower than 10(3)CFU/ml). We anticipate that flushing pure N(2) gas in raw milk tanks, considered as open systems, along the cold chain of raw milk storage and transportation, may be an additional technique to control psychrotrophs, and may also constitute an interesting perspective for limiting their spoilage and pathogenic potential in food materials in general.  相似文献

The dynamics of power of short-term (0.8 s) induced responses to facial stimuli (wavelet transform in the 15-60 Hz band) were assessed in the study of the visual cognitive set under conditions of different loads on working memory in two groups of subjects. Subjects of the first group had to react only to facial stimuli (n = 29), whereas the second group solved an additional task loading the working memory (they had to find a target stimulus in a matrix of letters, n = 35). We estimated wavelet spectra in the occipital, temporal, central and frontal areas of both hemispheres. In both groups of subjects with the plastic form of set, the power level in the gamma2 band (41-60 Hz) was significantly higher than in subject with the rigid form. In group A at the set-testing stage, the largest increase in the gamma2 band was related to the central areas of the left hemisphere. In more complex situation (group ), the increase in power in the gamma2 and gamma1 (21-40 Hz) bands was observed in the occipital and temporal areas of both hemispheres. At the same time, the EEG power of the central areas in these gamma bands was significantly lower. In the frontal areas there were no significant differences in the dynamics of power between the subjects of both groups.  相似文献

Event-related potentials (ERP) in response to complex target stimuli, which consisted of a central recognizable picture and a lateral masked image (analyzed at the unconscious level) were recorded in adult subjects and seven-year-old children. ERP components N200, N300, and P400/N400 had different topography and were differently pronounced in adults and children. In adult subjects, the N200 component that reflects the processing of a sensory stimulus was recorded in the temporo-parieto-occipital and occipital areas. In children, N200 was recorded in the caudal regions and the frontal areas of the cortex. Analysis of different waveforms obtained by subtraction of the ERP to the central stimulus from the ERP to the complex stimulus showed that unconscious stimulus processing in adult subjects is not reflected in the ERP structure. In children, an unconsciously processed image incorporated into a complex stimulus evokes processing negativity in the occipital and frontal cortical areas. Comparison of ERP in groups of children divided by their reflectivity/impulsivity showed that, predominantly, the left frontal area is involved in image analysis at the unconscious level in reflective children and, predominantly, the right frontal area participates in unconscious image analysis in impulsive children. It is suggested that the perfection of the visual recognition of a target stimulus, which contains additional unconsciously processed information, consists in growth of the involvement of the left-hemispheric mechanisms (with respective growth of significance of the left-hemispheric mechanisms) and in a decrease in the role of the frontal areas in analysis of sensory information.  相似文献

Algal and plant production of nonphosphorus lipids in place of phospholipids is a physiological response to low phosphorus (P) availability. This response has been shown in culture and in marine plankton studies, but examples from freshwater algae remain minimal. Herein, we analyzed the nutrient contents and lipid composition of periphyton communities across the Florida Everglades ecosystem. We hypothesized that in phosphate‐poor areas, periphyton in high‐ and low‐sulfate waters would vary the proportion of sulfolipids (SLs) and betaine lipids (BLs), respectively. In phosphate‐enriched areas, periphyton would produce more phospholipids (PLs). We observed that at low‐P sites, PLs were a minor lipid component. In cyanobacteria‐dominated periphyton where sulfate was abundant, BLs were only slightly more abundant than SLs. However, in the low‐P, low‐sulfate area, periphyton were comprised to a greater degree green algae and diatoms, and BLs represented the majority of the total lipids. Even in a P‐rich area, PLs were a small component of periphyton lipid profiles. Despite the phosphorus limitations of the Everglades, periphyton can develop tremendous biomass. Our results suggest a physiological response by periphyton to oligotrophic conditions whereby periphyton increase abundances of nonphosphorus lipids and have reduced proportions of PLs.  相似文献

We studied the characteristics of evoked potentials recorded during the recognition test based on four types of series of images subjected to the wavelet filtration: images of living objects containing either low frequency or high frequency portion of the spatial frequency spectrum, and imaging of non-living objects in the same two spatial frequency bands. Each subject had to classify the image either by its semantic feature (living–non-living), or by its physical feature (low frequency–high frequency). The purpose of this study was to compare the time characteristics of evoked potentials in these two types of tasks, which provides information on the time characteristics of categorization mechanisms of visual images. Analysis of the latent periods and amplitudes of the components of evoked potentials allowed us to detect the occipital areas of the leads where the early components (up to 170 ms) are associated with spatial and frequency characteristics of the image, the frontal and temporal areas where the components of 170–200 ms correspond to the process of categorization, and the later frontal, central, and parietal areas (300–500 ms) correspond to the process of error detection and the organization of motor response.  相似文献

Human multidrug resistance (hu MDR 1) cDNA was fused to a P. shermanii transcarboxylase biotin acceptor domain (TCBD), and the fusion protein was heterologously overexpressed at high yield in K(+)-uptake deficient Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast strain 9.3, purified by avidin-biotin chromatography, and reconstituted into proteoliposomes (PLs) formed with Escherichia coli lipid. As measured by pH- dependent ATPase activity, purified, reconstituted, biotinylated MDR-TCBD protein is fully functional. Dodecyl maltoside proved to be the most effective detergent for the membrane solubilization of MDR-TCBD, and various salts were found to significantly affect reconstitution into PLs. After extensive analysis, we find that purified reconstituted MDR-TCBD protein does not catalyze measurable H(+) pumping in the presence of ATP. In the presence of physiologic [ATP], K(+)/Na(+) diffusion potentials monitored by either anionic oxonol or cationic carbocyanine are easily established upon addition of valinomycin to either control or MDR-TCBD PLs. However, in the absence of ATP, although control PLs still maintain easily measurable K(+)/Na(+) diffusion potentials upon addition of valinomycin, MDR-TCBD PLs do not. Dissipation of potential by MDR-TCBD is clearly [ATP] dependent and also appears to be Cl(-) dependent, since replacing Cl(-) with equimolar glutamate restores the ability of MDR-TCBD PLs to form a membrane potential in the absence of physiologic [ATP]. The data are difficult to reconcile with models that might propose ATP-catalyzed "pumping" of the fluorescent probes we use and are more consistent with electrically passive anion transport via MDR-TCBD protein, but only at low [ATP]. These observations may help to resolve the confusing array of data related to putative ion transport by hu MDR 1 protein.  相似文献

This study examined the evacuation response of groups of Reticulitermes flavipes (Kollar) workers after disturbance in laboratory arenas across a range of temperatures (16, 21, and 27 degrees C) and soldier proportions (1, 3, and 5%). Groups of workers and soldiers were disturbed in a central chamber and then monitored during a 5-d period to examine the percentage that initially evacuated, percentage of evacuees that returned, time to evacuate, time to return, and rates (percentage per hour) of evacuation and return between different temperatures and between soldier levels. Disturbance response patterns were observed that generally consisted of partial evacuation followed by movement back into disturbed areas. General alarm responses were observed and initiated specific alarm responses that resulted in more termites eventually returning to disturbed areas than originally evacuated. The typical evacuation response was not observed in groups with 5% soldiers. Instead, clustering in disturbed areas replaced evacuation. Regression revealed significant correlations between temperature and evacuation time, return time, evacuation rate, and return rate, indicating that R. flavipes alarm behaviors are influenced by temperature. There was a significant correlation between soldier proportions and the percentage of evacuees returning to disturbed areas. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) revealed significant differences between temperatures in the time to evacuate, evacuation rate, time to return, and return rate. ANOVA also showed significant differences between soldier proportions in the mean percentage of evacuees from and the rate of return to disturbed areas. Our results demonstrate that temperature influences the rate, but not the magnitude, of alarm response, whereas the influence of soldiers may not be as important in the context of general alarm as specific alarm.  相似文献

The structural components essential for activity of the aphid alarm pheromone, (E)-β-farnesene were determined through the synthesis of related farnesene and nor-farnesene analogs. Biological activity was determined with three aphid species belonging to the subfamily Aphidinae. Structural requirements determined to be important for alarm pheromone activity are: The presence of a π-bond (1.34 to 1.39 Å) adjacent to a special free rotational single bond, a (E)-configurational double bond in the central position of the molecule, and a third double bond in the terminal isoprene end of the compound.  相似文献

Evoked activity of the human brain was studied in 19 right-handed men during the perception of illusory images in Go/NoGo tasks. It was found that the recognition of illusory images was associated with changes in the amplitudes of both early (P1 and P2) and late (P3a and P3b) components of the evoked potentials and with an increase in the latencies of the late components recorded from the occipital, central, and frontal cortical areas, which could be explained by the necessity to store a template in the memory, compare a perceived image with the template, and prepare and execute (or inhibit) a motor response. At the same time, the operation of the brain was more differentiated during the NoGo task compared to the Go task.  相似文献

A study was made of the influence of stimuli with different informational specificity (a checkerboard pattern, the image of a house, the word "house") on respective EPs recorded in the occipital zone (OZ) and symmetrical postero-temporal areas (T5 and T6) of the cerebral cortex. Paired comparisons were carried out of distribution histograms of the maxima of negative and positive EP components. A statistical control of heterogeneity of such distributions by the Brand--Snedecker formula allowed to detect the histogram fragments, where the differences were most pronounced. All the fragments were included in the period from 0 to 250 ms. Estimation of discrimination indices testified to the influence of stimulus informational specificity on the respective EPs of the occipital and temporal areas of the left hemisphere.  相似文献

The model of mathematical logic tasks was developed at which decision there was a value coherence in delta-range raised. In low-frequency ranges (delta, theta, and alpha) a coherence of potentials of frontal cortex were increased. In high-frequency ranges (beta1, beta2, gamma) in frontal cortex coherence was decreased, and its increasing in central, parietal, temporal, and occipital areas with prevalence in the left hemisphere. Most changes of quantity of positive connections observed in value diagonal coherence. Analysis of spectral power EEG has shown, that at the decision of tasks there is a generalised raising on a cortex in delta-range. Theta-activity increased in a frontal cortex, and gamma band was raised in occipital areas. A spectral power in an alpha range mainly decreased.  相似文献

An investigation was made into the statistical interconnection between the latency of human conditioned motor reaction to a flash and the spatial distribution of EEG correlation coefficients of eight cerebral areas in 10-second epoch preceding the stimuli. The greatest similarity of latency variations was observed with changes in the correlation relationships between EEG of the occipital, frontal and central areas of the hemisphere, contralateral to the reacting hand. Analysis of the structure of the brain biopotential field has shown that the probability of a more rapid reaction is greater if in the pre-stimulatory period there is a spatially coherent alpha-rhythm with nearly contraphasic correlations of oscillations in the frontal and occipital brain areas.  相似文献

Performance of cognitive tests and EEG spectral power were evaluated in 39 students aged from 19-21 years in two conditions: during common educational process and immediately before examination (stress condition). Before examination, the performance was better in subjects with low level of spectral density in the delta band (in the occipital, parietal, central and frontal cortical areas) and high level of the alpha-rhythm spectral density in all the cortical areas, A decrease in performance scores before examination was correlated with an increase in the delta activity (in the right frontal and temporal cortical areas) and rise of the anxiety level (tested by Spielberger).  相似文献
