Enclosures (17 m3) were used in the mesotrophic area of Lake Balaton to determine the impact of benthivorous bream (Abramis brama L.) on the lower trophic levels during summers of 1984–86. In enclosures with a fish biomass similar to the biomass in the eutrophic area of the lake, the number of phytoplankton species was highest. In enclosures with a low fish biomass the phytoplankton was dominated by the greens. A high biomass of bream in the mesotrophic basin caused bacterial production corresponding to that of the eutrophic part of the lake. Crustaceans were dominated by copepods and were unable to control phytoplankton peaks. Bottom-up effects of bream were more obvious than top-down effects and seem to be more important in the possible control of water quality.  相似文献

The aim of this work is to compare the composition and seasonality of the phytoplankton population in a natural oligotrophic lake (Lake Sanabria) and a mesotrophic reservoir (Valparaíso). Both ecosystems are located on the Tera river course (NW Spain), which runs along an area of ancient metamorphic and plutonic rocks. Some physical and chemical parameters, chlorophyll a and phytoplankton biovolume were studied from monthly samples collected at different depths during the periods 1987–1989 (Lake Sanabria) and 1991–1992 (Valparaíso). Phytoplankton biovolume and chlorophyll a concentration were about five times higher in Valparaíso than in Lake Sanabria. Species composition (and main phytoplankton groups) were different. Valparaíso was highly dominated by diatoms and Lake Sanabria by cryptophytes and small chlorophytes. In spite of the fact that both sites were nitrogen limited, heterocystous cyanophytes (Anabaena sp.) were detected only in Valparaíso. The relationships between phytoplankton structure and trophic level, hydrological conditions and nitrate content are discussed.  相似文献

East Sidney Lake, a small, eutrophic bottom release impoundment in NY, has undergone artificial circulation for three seasons. The artificial circulation system resulted in an overall reduction in the physical stability of the water column, making the lake subject to alternating periods of weak chemical stratification and mixing. Phytoplankton community succession exhibited a high degree of regularity from year to year, culminating in mid summer dominance by heterocystous cyanophytes in all years. Changes in the physical structure of the water column, with attendant changes in Z eu :Z mix , were not important determinants of phytoplankton community makeup in East Sidney Lake. Seasonal patterns and community characteristics were not affected by artificially induced alterations in stability, but instead were most sensitive to surface temperatures, flushing rate and TN:TP. The timing of cyanophyte blooms was not affected by artificial circulation, nor was maximum seasonal phytoplankton biomass reduced.  相似文献

Eutrophication and rising water temperature in freshwaters may increase the total production of a lake while simultaneously reducing the nutritional quality of food web components. We evaluated how cyanobacteria blooms, driven by agricultural eutrophication (in eutrophic Lake Köyliöjärvi) or global warming (in mesotrophic Lake Pyhäjärvi), influence the biomass and structure of phytoplankton, zooplankton, and fish communities. In terms of the nutritional value of food web components, we evaluated changes in the ω‐3 and ω‐6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) of phytoplankton and consumers at different trophic levels. Meanwhile, the lakes did not differ in their biomasses of phytoplankton, zooplankton, and fish communities, lake trophic status greatly influenced the community structures. The eutrophic lake, with agricultural eutrophication, had cyanobacteria bloom throughout the summer months whereas cyanobacteria were abundant only occasionally in the mesotrophic lake, mainly in early summer. Phytoplankton community differences at genus level resulted in higher arachidonic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) content of seston in the mesotrophic than in the eutrophic lake. This was also reflected in the EPA and DHA content of herbivorous zooplankton (Daphnia and Bosmina) despite more efficient trophic retention of these biomolecules in a eutrophic lake than in the mesotrophic lake zooplankton. Planktivorous juvenile fish (perch and roach) in a eutrophic lake overcame the lower availability of DHA in their prey by more efficient trophic retention and biosynthesis from the precursors. However, the most efficient trophic retention of DHA was found with benthivorous perch which prey contained only a low amount of DHA. Long‐term cyanobacterial blooming decreased the nutritional quality of piscivorous perch; however, the difference was much less than previously anticipated. Our result shows that long‐term cyanobacteria blooming impacts the structure of plankton and fish communities and lowers the nutritional quality of seston and zooplankton, which, however, is mitigated at upper trophic levels.  相似文献

The phytoplankton of Lake Mikri Prespa was studied atmonthly or biweekly intervals during the period May1990–September 1992. Its species composition, consisting of a great number of cyanophytes and a verysmall number of chrysophytes and desmids, may reflectthe eutrophic character of the lake. Moreover, themean annual biomass values (15.0 and 3.2 g m–3 inthe two years, respectively) and the maximum biomass(38.1, 6.4 and 9.6 g m–3), classify Mikri Prespaas a eutrophic lake. A tendency towards adouble-peaked pattern of biomass distribution in timewith one peak in autumn, composed mainly ofcyanophytes, and another in spring made up of diatoms, was observed. This pattern contrasts with the standardpattern in eutrophic, stratified temperate lakes, which exhibit a third biomass maximum in summer.Cyanophytes were the most important group in terms ofbiomass and were dominated by the species Microcystis aeruginosa, Microcystis wesenbergii,Anabaena lemmermannii var. minor and Aphanocapsa elachista var. conferta. Diatomsconstituted the second most important group, with main representative the species Cyclotellaocellata. Cyanophytes, diatoms, chlorophytes anddinophytes revealed annual periodicity whereas theother algal groups did not show any seasonality atall. The nanoplankton constituted an important part ofalgal biomass (38.9 and 49.9% in the two years, respectively) and revealed annual periodicity withmaximum values in winter and spring, mainly composedof diatoms and cryptophytes. Low temperature, increased rainfall and high DIN concentrations seemedto be the main factors influencing the seasonality.Although the percentage contribution of nanoplanktondecreased with the increase in total biomass, justifying the classification of Lake Mikri Prespaamong the eutrophic lakes, the nanoplankton biomassdid not correlate significantly with totalphytoplankton biomass.  相似文献

Carbon to chlorophyll a (C:Chl) ratios, assimilation numbers (A.N.) and turnover times of natural populations of individual species and taxonomic groups were extracted from a long-term database of phytoplankton wet-weight biomass, chlorophyll a concentrations, and primary production in Lake Kinneret, Israel. From a database spanning more than a decade, we selected data for samples dominated by a single species or taxonomic group. The overall average of C:Chl was highest for cyanophytes and lowest for diatoms, while chlorophytes and dinoflagellates showed intermediate values. When converting chlorophyll a to algal cellular carbon this variability should be taken into account. The variability in C:Chl within each phylum and species (when data were available) was high and the variability at any particular sampling date tended to be greater than the temporal variability. The average chlorophyll a-normalized rate of photosynthetic activity of cyanophytes was higher and that of the dinoflagellates lower than that of other phyla. Turnover time of phytoplankton, calculated using primary productivity data at the depth of maximal photosynthetic rate, was longest in dinoflagellates and shortest in cyanophytes, with diatoms and chlorophytes showing intermediate values. The more extreme C:Chl and turnover times of dinoflagellates and cyanobacteria in comparison with chlorophytes and diatoms should be taken into consideration when employed in ecological modeling.  相似文献

Abstract

Few major groups of cyanophytes contribute significantly to the productivity of oceanic oligotrophic ecosystem: unicellular Synechococcus spp., and filamentous nitrogen-fixing Trichodesmium and Richelia species occur as abundant populations in open seas and oceans. In addition, oceanic eutrophic waters support the development of massive summer-blooms of Nodularia, Aphanizomenon and Anabaena in the Baltic Sea. The importance of the planktic cyanophytes as primary producers and their contribution to the input of new fixed nitrogen in the euphotic zone is underlined.  相似文献

This study examined the effects of a freshwater filter feeding bivalve (Corbicula leana Prime) and large zooplankton (>200 μm, mostly cladocerans and copepods) on the phytoplankton communities in two lakes with contrasting trophic conditions. A controlled experiment was conducted with four treatments (control, zooplankton addition, mussel addition, and both zooplankton and mussel addition), and each established in duplicate 10-l chambers. In both lakes there were significant effects of mussel grazing on phytoplankton density and biomass. The effects were greater in mesotrophic Lake Soyang than in hypertrophic Lake Ilgam. Effects of zooplankton grazing did not differ between these lakes, and zooplankton effects on phytoplankton were much less than the effects of mussels. Although mussels exerted a varying effect on phytoplankton according to their size, mussels reduced densities of almost all phytoplankton taxa. Total mean filtering rate (FR) of mussels in Lake Soyang was significantly greater than that in Lake Ilgam (p=0.002, n=5). Carbon fluxes from phytoplankton to mussels (977–2,379 μgC l?1d?1) and to zooplankton (76–264 μgC l?1 d?1) were always greater in Lake Ilgam due to the greater phytoplankton biomass (p<0.01, n=6). Based on the C-flux to biomass ratios, the mussels consumed 170–754% (avg. 412%) of phytoplankton standing stock in Lake Soyang, and 38–164% (avg. 106%) in Lake Ilgam per day. The C-flux to biomass ratio for mussels within each lake was much greater than for large zooplankton. Mussels reduced total phosphorus concentration by 5–34%, while increasing phosphate by 30–55% relative to the control. Total nitrogen also was reduced (by 9–25%), but there was no noticeable change in nitrate among treatments. The high consumption rate of phytoplankton by Corbicula leana even in a very eutrophic lake suggests that this mussel could affect planktonic and benthic food web structure and function by preferential feeding on small seston and by nutrient recycling. Control of mussel biomass therefore might be an effective tool for management of water quality in shallow eutrophic lakes and reservoirs in Korea.  相似文献

Enclosures, open to the bottom sediments and to the atmosphere, containing about 17 m3 of lake water in the mesotrophic area of Lake Balaton, were used to elucidate the role of the benthivorous fish bream (Ambramis brama L.) in the lake during 1984–1986.Throughout the whole period water was less transparent in the enclosure containing fish, which strongly influenced the concentrations of suspended solids and chlorophyll a.Both phytoplankton biomass and production readily responded to nutrient increase in the enclosure with fish. In 1985 diatoms were replaced by cyanobacteria whereas in 1986, at a lower fish stocking, a shift in algal structure towards chlorophytes was observed.Egested organic substances and the resuspension of sediment particles by fish increased bacterial production.  相似文献

Changes in the phytoplankton community of the hypertrophic, sharply stratified Lake Verevi have been studied over eight decades. Due to irregular discharge of urban wastewater, the trophic state of the lake has changed from moderately eutrophic to hypertrophic. We found that the trophic state in summer increased in the 1980s and remained at a hypertrophic level since then. Planktothrix agardhii was recorded first in the 1950s and became the dominant species in the 1980s, forming biomass maxima under the ice and in the metalimnion during the vegetation period. In summer 1989, P. agardhii contributed almost 100% of the phytoplankton biomass. Generally, the highest biomass values occurred in the metalimnion. In spring, when P. agardhii was less numerous, diatoms and cryptophytes prevailed. In springs 2000 and 2001 different diatoms dominated – Synedra acus var. angustissima (18.6 g m−3) and Cyclostephanos dubius (9.2 g m−3), respectively. In recent years, the spring overturn has been absent. In the conditions of strong thermal stratification sharp vertical gradients of light and nutrients caused a large number of vertically narrow niches in the water column. During a typical summer stage, the epilimnion, dominated by small flagellated chrysophytes, is nearly mesotrophic, and water transparency may reach 4 m. The lower part of the water column is hypertrophic with different species of cryptophytes and euglenophytes. A characteristic feature is the higher diversity of Chlorococcales. Often, species could form their peaks of biomass in very narrow layers, e.g. in August 2001 Ceratium hirundinella (18.6 g m−3) was found at a depth of 5 m (the lower part of the metalimnion with hypoxic conditions), Cryptomonas spp. (56 g m−3) at 6 m (with traces of oxygen and a relatively high content of dissolved organic matter) and euglenophytes (0.6 g m−3) at 7 m and deeper (without oxygen and a high content of dissolved organic matter).  相似文献

The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of coniferous forest cover in the catchment basin and relative catchment area (catchment area to lake volume ratio) on phytoplankton composition in humic lakes. The study was carried out in 11 small and shallow lakes situated in the West Polesie region (Eastern Poland). The lakes were divided with respect to forest cover in their catchment basins into two groups: high forest cover — HFC (more than 60%) and low forest cover — LFC (less than 60%). The study showed that both, land use in the catchments (proportion of forests) and the relative catchment area determined physicochemical and biological parameters in the lakes. The high relative catchment area affects their high productivity expressed by high chlorophyll a concentration and low water visibility. The lakes of the LFC group had low water colour as well as high concentration of total phosphorus (Ptot), reaction (pH), and conductivity of water and a large number of cyanophytes and chlorophytes. The dominant species, e.g., Planktolyngbya limnetica, Limnothrix planctonica, Planktothrix agardhii, Coenococcus planctonicus, were characteristic of high trophic status. In the lakes of the HFC group, Ptot, pH, conductivity of water and the contribution of cyanophytes and chlorophytes was considerably lower, whereas the water colour and the number of raphidophytes represented by Gonyostomum semen was high. The large number of raphidophytes and the small amount of chlorophytes and cyanophytes in the lakes of the HFC group indicated the lake naturalness.  相似文献

1. We investigated the effect of trophic status on the organic matter budget in freshwater ecosystems. During leaf litter breakdown, the relative contribution of the functional groups and the quantity/quality of organic matter available to higher trophic levels are expected to be modified by the anthropogenic release of nutrients. 2. Carbon budgets were established during the breakdown of alder leaves enclosed in coarse mesh bags and submerged in six streams: two oligotrophic, one mesotrophic, two eutrophic and one hypertrophic streams. Nitrate concentrations were 4.5–6.7 mg L−1 and the trophic status of each stream was defined by the soluble reactive phosphorus concentration ranging from 3.4 (oligotrophic) to 89 μg L−1 (hypertrophic). An ammonium gradient paralleled the phosphate gradient with mean concentrations ranging from 1.4 to 560 μg L−1 NH4‐N. The corresponding unionised ammonia concentrations ranged from 0.08 to 19 μg L−1 NH3‐N over the six streams. 3. The dominant shredder taxa were different in the oligo‐, meso‐ and eutrophic streams. No shredders were observed in the hypertrophic stream. These changes may be accounted for by the gradual increase in the concentration of ammonia over the six streams. The shredder biomass dramatically decreased in eu‐ and hypertrophic streams compared with oligo‐ and mesotrophic. 4. Fungal biomass increased threefold from the most oligotrophic to the less eutrophic stream and decreased in the most eutrophic and the hypertrophic. Bacterial biomass increased twofold from the most oligotrophic to the hypertrophic stream. Along the trophic gradient, the microbial CO2 production followed that of microbial biomass whereas the microbial fine particulate organic matter and net dissolved organic carbon (DOC) did not consistently vary. These results indicate that the microorganisms utilised the substrate and the DOC differently in streams of various trophic statuses. 5. In streams receiving various anthropogenic inputs, the relative contribution of the functional groups to leaf mass loss varied extensively as a result of stimulation and the deleterious effects of dissolved inorganic compounds. The quality/quantity of the organic matter produced by microorganisms slightly varied, as they use DOC from stream water instead of the substrate they decompose in streams of higher trophic status.  相似文献

The seasonal abundance and composition of photosynthetic picoplankton (0.2-2 μm) was compared among five oligotrophic to mesotrophic lakes in Ontario. Epilimnetic picocyanobacteria abundance followed a similar pattern in all lakes; maximum abundance (2-4 × 105 cells · ml−1) occurred in late summer following a period of rapid, often exponential increase after epilimnetic temperatures reached 20 °C. In half of the lakes picocyanobacteria abundance was significantly correlated with temperature, while in other lakes the presence of a small spring peak resulted in a poor correlation with temperature. In all lakes there was a significant correlation between epilimnetic abundance and day of the year. Correlations with water chemistry parameters (soluble reactive phosphorus, total phosphorus, particulate C: P and C: N) were generally weaker or insignificant. However, in the three lakes with the highest spring nitrate concentrations, a significant negative correlation with nitrate was observed. During summer stratification, picocyanobacteria abundance reached a maximum within the metalimnion and at or above the euphotic zone (1% of incident light) in all lakes. These peaks were not related to nutrient gradients. The average total phytoplankton biomass ranged from 0.5 g m−3 (wet weight) in the most oligotrophic lake to 1.4 g m−3 for the most mesotrophic with picoplankton biomass ranging from 0.01 g m−3 to 0.3 g m−3. Picocyanobacteria biomass comprised 1 to 9 % of total phytoplankton biomass in late summer, but in one year for one lake represented a maximum of 56%. Other photosynthetic picoplankton (unidentified eukaryotes, Chlorella spp. Nannochloris spp.), although less abundant (103 cells · ml−1) than picocyanobacteria, represented biomass equal or greater than that of the picocyanobacteria in spring and early summer. On average, half of the photosynthetic picoplankton biomass was eukaryotic in the more coloured lakes, while in the clear lakes less than 20% was eukaryotic. Among the lakes there was a significant positive correlation between the average light extinction coefficient and the proportion of eukaryotic biomass of the picoplankton. In mesotrophic Jack's Lake, the contribution of picoplankton to the maximum photosynthetic rate ranged from 10 to 47% with the highest values in the spring (47%) and late summer (33%), as a result of eukaryotic picoplankton and picocyanobacteria respectively. Picocyanobacteria cell specific growth rates were high during July (0.6-0.8 day−1) and losses were close to 80% of the growth rate. Thus, despite low biomass, photosynthetic picoplankton populations appeared to turn over rapidly and potentially contributed significantly to planktonic food webs in early spring and late summer.  相似文献

Spatial and temporal fluctuations in rotifer abundance have been monitored along a trophic gradient in the northern Baltic. The most common rotifer was Synchaeta spp., which had one abundance peak in June and one in September–October. Only during the latter period was the abundance significantly higher in the eutrophic basin compared to the reference area. The annual production of Synchaeta spp. was about double in the eutrophic basin. A positive correlation between Synchaeta spp. biomass and phytoplankton biomass was obtained during the autumn, but not during the early summer peak, although the phytoplankton community was dominated by the same species. Keratella quadrata, K. cochlearis and K. cruciformis were most abundant in August–September, and all three species had increased abundance in the eutrophic basin.  相似文献

Seasonal Variation of Virioplankton in a Eutrophic Shallow Lake   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5
Lake Donghu is a typical eutrophic freshwater lake in which high abundance of planktonic viruses was recently revealed. In this study, seasonal variation of planktonic viruses were observed at three different trophic sites, hypertrophic, eutrophic, and mesotrophic regions, and the correlation between their abundances and other aquatic environmental components, such as bacterioplankton, chlorophyll a, burst size, pH, dissolved oxygen, and temperature, was analyzed for the period of an year. Virioplankton abundance detected by transmission electron microscope (TEM) ranged from 5.48 × 108 to 2.04 × 109 ml−1 in all the sites throughout the study, and the high abundances and seasonal variations of planktonic viruses were related to the trophic status at the sampled sites in Lake Donghu. Their annual mean abundances were, the highest at the hypertrophic site (1.23×109 ml−1), medium at the eutrophic site (1.19×109 ml−1), and the lowest at the mesotrophic site (1.02×109 ml−1). The VBR (virus-to-bacteria ratio) values were high, ranging from 49 to 56 on average at the three sampled sites. The data suggested that the high viral abundance and high VBR values might be associated with high density of phytoplankton including algae and cyanobacteria in this eutrophic shallow lake, and that planktonic viruses are important members of freshwater ecosystems.  相似文献

We report here the results of an experimental study designed to compare algal responses to short-term manipulations of zooplankton in three California lakes which encompass a broad range of productivity (ultra-oligotrophic Lake Tahoe, mesotrophic Castle Lake, and strongly eutrophic Clear Lake). To assess the potential strength of grazing in each lake, we evaluated algal responses to a 16-fold range of zooplankton biomass. To better compare algal responses among lakes, we determined algal responses to grazing by a common grazer (Daphnia sp.) over a range ofDaphnia densities from 1 to 16 animals per liter. Effects of both ambient grazers andDaphnia were strong in Castle Lake. However, neither ambient zooplankton norDaphnia had much impact on phytoplankton in Clear Lake. In Lake Tahoe, no grazing impacts could be demonstrated for the ambient zooplankton butDaphnia grazing had dramatic effects. These results indicate weak coupling between phytoplankton and zooplankton in Clear Lake and Lake Tahoe, two lakes which lie near opposite extremes of lake trophic status for most lakes. These observations, along with work reported by other researchers, suggest that linkages between zooplankton and phytoplankton may be weak in lakes with either extremely low or high productivity. Biomanipulation approaches to recover hypereutrophic lakes which aim only to alter zooplankton size structure may be less effective if algal communities are dominated by large, inedible phytoplankton taxa.  相似文献

Phytoplankton samples were collected from three mesotrophic lakes: Piaseczno, Rogóźno and Krasne during winter seasons (from January to March). The samples were analyzed for species analysis and abundance of planktonic algae in relation to different depths of water column (0–7 m). Selected water physical-chemical parameters were also measured. Abundance of phytoplankton depended strongly on the thickness of snow and ice cover or mixing conditions. The maximal phytoplankton total number reached about 5 × 106 ind. L−1 beneath the clear ice in the Krasne Lake, minimal numbers were recorded under the thick snow and ice layers in the Piaseczno Lake (2 × 103 ind. L−1). The winter phytoplankton communities were dominated by flagellates principally cryptomonads (Cryptomonas spp. Rhodomonas minuta), euglenophytes (Trachelomonas volvocina, T. volvocinopsis), dinoflagellates (Peridinium bipes, Gymnodinium helveticum) and chrysophytes (Mallomonas elongata, M. akrokomos, Dinobryon sociale) or non-motile small species of blue-green algae (e.g. Rhabdoderma lineare, Limnothrix redekei), diatoms (Stephanodiscus spp., Asterionella formosa), and green algae (e.g. Scenedesmus spp., Monoraphidium spp.). Phytoplankton abundance and structure showed differentiation during the winter season and along the water column as well.  相似文献

This paper studied the sources of food and the trophic levels of silver and bighead carps using stable isotopes (δ13C and δ15N) analysis in Lake Qiandao and Lake Taihu. The δ13C values of POM and phytoplankton indicated that Particulate Organic Matter (POM) is of terrestrial origin in LQ and phytoplankton origin in LT. The different signature of δ15N of phytoplankton and POM also showed the different extent of anthropogenic impacts on the two lakes, with higher impacts in LT than in LQ. In LQ the trophic levels of silver and bighead carps were significantly different (2.48 ± 0.19 and 2.66 ± 0.19, respectively), while in LT the difference was not significant (2.15 ± 1.54 and 2.36 ± 0.38, respectively). Using a mixing model, we found that silver and bighead carps consumed a major proportion on phytoplankton and/or POM in both lakes with higher contribution of phytoplankton in more eutrophic lake. Silver and bighead carps had clear differentiation in food resources with silver carp more on POM and bighead more on zooplankton in deep and mesotrophic lakes. Contrary to this, both carps fed primarily on phytoplankton (and POM) and may have more niche overlaps in shallow and eutrophic lakes.  相似文献

The effects of reservoir aging on the phytoplankton community of amidwestern U.S. reservoir constructed in 1965 (Pawnee Reservoir) werestudied by comparing algal biovolume and species composition from April 1992through November 1992 to surveys conducted in 1968–73 and 1990. Meansummer total phosphorus, nitrate-nitrogen, Secchi disk depth, totalsuspended solids, chlorophyll a, and phytoplankton species composition datacharacterized Pawnee Reservoir during 1968–69 as a high nutrient, relatively clear water environment. Phytoplankton biomass was relativelylow, consisting mainly of cyanophytes and non-flagellated chlorophytes.During 1970–73, water clarity was poor, total suspended solids werehigh, and total phosphorus was lower, but was still greater than 100 µgl–1. The 1970–73 phytoplankton biomass was high and wasdominated by cyanophytes. Mean summer total phosphorus remained >100µg l–1, water clarity remained poor, but phytoplanktonbiomass decreased significantly during 1990–92. The dramatic drop inchlorophyll a and low mean volatile suspended solids indicated thatinorganic suspended sediments, rather than phytoplankton, accounted for themajority of the turbidity in 1990-92. In addition to lower phytoplanktonbiomass, community composition shifted away from buoyancy-regulatingcyanophytes toward flagellated chlorophytes. These data suggest that asreservoirs located in agricultural watersheds age, (1) inorganic suspendedsediments have a significant effect on the light environment as well asphytoplankton biomass and species composition, (2) the control ofphytoplankton biomass and species composition shifts away from nutrients tolight and suspended sediments, and (3) there is a 1–2 year lag in theresponse of phytoplankton biomass to maximum nutrient loading during thetrophic upsurge period. Thus, sedimentation has been shown to be a primarydeterminant of plankton and benthic macroinvertebrate community compositionas Pawnee Reservoir aged.  相似文献
