The absorption of insulin mixed with sodium deoxycholate (DOC) or sodium cholate from the rectal mucosa of diabetic and non-diabetic rats was measured by the effect on blood glucose levels. Blood sugar was lowere by 50% one hour after administration of 12 u soluble insulin mixed with 1–10 mg/ml DOC, or 2–20 mg/ml sodium cholate. There was a linear correlation between the reduction in blood glucose and the amount of insulin administered (1–64 units) when mixed with 5 mg/ml DOC. Radioimmuno-assay of plasma insulin showed an increase from 16.2 μu/ml to 3335 muuu/ml after rectal administration of 12 u soluble insulin. We conclude that insulin when mixed with bile salts can be absorbed by the intestine to reach the circulation in a biologically active form.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo compare glycemic outcomes in hospitalized patients with or without type 2 diabetes mellitus receiving neutral protamine Hagedorn insulin (NPH) vs glargine as basal insulin for management of glucocorticoid-associated hyperglycemia.MethodsWe conducted a retrospective review of electronic medical records in prednisone-treated adult patients with hyperglycemia in a university hospital. Consecutive patients were selected in both the NPH and glargine cohorts using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Baseline characteristics were assessed in each cohort. Glycemic outcomes were analyzed by comparing fasting blood glucose, mean daily blood glucose concentration, median daily blood glucose concentration, and the number of hypoglycemic episodes on a prespecified index day.ResultsOne hundred twenty patients were included: 60 patients in the NPH cohort and 60 patients in the glargine cohort. The weight-based insulin requirement was lower in the NPH cohort than in the glargine cohort (0.27 ± 0.2 units/kg vs 0.34 ± 0.2 units/kg [P = .04] for basal insulin and 0.26 ± 0.2 units/kg vs 0.36 ± 0.2 units/kg [P = .03] for bolus insulin). NPH and glargine cohorts were similar regarding age, sex, race, body mass index, hemoglobin A1c, serum creatinine, and prednisone dosage. Glycemic outcomes in the NPH cohort compared with outcomes in the glargine cohort were similar regarding mean fasting blood glucose concentration (134 ± 49 mg/dL vs 139 ± 54 mg/dL [P = .63]), mean daily blood glucose (167 ± 46 mg/dL vs 165 ± 52 mg/dL [P = .79]), median blood glucose (160 ± 49 mg/dL vs 159 ± 57 mg/dL [P = .90]), and number of hypoglycemic episodes per day (0.12 ± 0.3 vs 0.10 ± 0.3 [P = .77]).ConclusionsNPH and glargine appear to be equally effective as basal insulin in the management of hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients receiving prednisone. However, the total daily insulin doses used were lower in the NPH cohort. (Endocr Pract. 2012;18:712-719)  相似文献

ObjectiveTo report our preliminary experience with the revised, more conservative Yale insulin infusion protocol (IIP) that targets blood glucose concentrations of 120 to 160 mg/dL.MethodsWe prospectively tracked clinical responses to the new IIP in our medical intensive care unit (ICU) by recording data on the first 115 consecutive insulin infusions that were initiated. All blood glucose values; insulin doses; nutritional support including intravenous dextrose infusions; caloric values for enteral and parenteral nutrition; and use of vasopressors, corticosteroids, and hemodialysis or continuous venovenous hemodialysis were collected from the hospital record.ResultsThe IIP was used 115 times in 90 patients (mean age, 62 [± 14 years]; 51% male; 35% ethnic minorities; 66.1% with history of diabetes). The mean admission Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score was 24.4 (± 7.5). The median duration of insulin infusion was 59 hours. The mean baseline blood glucose concentration was 306.1 (± 89.8) mg/dL, with the blood glucose target achieved after a median of 7 hours. Once the target was reached, the mean IIP blood glucose concentration was 155.9 (± 22.9) mg/dL (median, 150 mg/dL). The median insulin infusion rate required to reach and maintain the target range was 3.5 units/h. Hypoglycemia was rare, with 0.3% of blood glucose values recorded being less than 70 mg/dL and only 0.02% being less than 40 mg/dL. In all cases, hypoglycemia was rapidly corrected using intravenous dextrose with no evident untoward outcomes.ConclusionsThe updated Yale IIP provides effective and safe targeted blood glucose control in critically ill patients, in compliance with recent national guidelines. It can be easily implemented by hospitals now using the original Yale IIP. (Endocr Pract. 2012;18:363-370)  相似文献

ObjectiveTo determine whether once-daily insulin glargine could provide better glycemic control after an abdominal surgical procedure than the traditional use of sliding scale regular insulin (SSRI).MethodsBecause 20% to 30% of patients undergoing gastric bypass have a history of overt diabetes and another 5% to 10% are estimated to have impaired glucose tolerance, we chose to study these patients. We treated 81 patients with postoperative blood glucose levels of more than 144 mg/dL after a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgical procedure. They were randomized to receive either SSRI or insulin glargine either directly or after initial intravenous insulin infusion in the intensive care unit (ICU).ResultsOverall, the mean blood glucose level after SSRI therapy was 154 ± 33 mg/dL, and the mean blood glucose value after insulin glargine treatment was 134 ± 30 mg/dL (P < 0.01). The mean blood glucose level for patients first treated with intravenous insulin infusion in the ICU was 125 mg/dL, in comparison with 145 mg/dL in the non-ICU patients whose treatment began directly with 0.3 U/kg of insulin glargine. Of 926 blood glucose measurements, only 3 were less than 60 mg/dL.ConclusionIn this study, control of postoperative hyperglycemia was significantly better with use of insulin glargine in comparison with SSRI therapy, and hypo-glycemia was very infrequent. The purpose of this research was to enhance the bioactivity of insulin by the pulmonary route using a combination of absorption promoters. Aliquots (100 μL) containing 1.0 IU/kg to 7.0 IU/kg doses of porcine insulin solutions with different classes of absorption promoters and combinations of these at 3 concentration levels were instilled intratracheally to the anesthetized rats. Blood concentrations of glucose were measured at specific time points. Out of 3 concentration levels of each of the absorption promoters used, the formulations having the leastconcentration with the maximum percentage of blood glucose reduction were selected for combining absorption promoters, and their pharmacodynamic parameters related to insulin absorption were determined. The pharmacodynamics of porcine insulin following subcutaneous administration of increasing doses were also determined. The relative pulmonary bioactivity of insulin in phosphate buffer pH 7.4 and citrate buffer pH 3.5 was 11.36%±1.27% and 43.20% ±2.48%, respectively, compared to subcutaneous administration. Relative pulmonary bioactivity of 155.60%±5.19% was obtained when oleic acid sodium salt, sodium tauroglycocholate, bestatin, and chymostatin were coadministered in citrate buffer pH 3.5 solution. However, only 61.91%±3.21, 67.09%±3.23%, 67.24%±2.11%, and 69.84%±3.02% were obtained, respectively, upon incorporation of these absorption promoters individually. Absorption promoters in combination have significant potential for increasing the pulmonary bioactivity of insulin. These studies support the argument that pulmonary administration of insulin is a viable alternative to subcutaneous administration for diabetic patients.  相似文献

The venom of V. cincta contains acetylcholine (ACh), histamine and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT). Blockers of these agonists did not block completely the hypotensive and smooth muscle contractile activity of venom. On smooth muscle, there was a residual slow contraction. The active substance which produced this slow contraction was separated by solvent extraction, gel filtration and TLC. The purified material (which has been provisionally designated "Vecikinin") lowered cat, rat and guinea pig blood pressure, increased amplitude of cardiac contraction, and increased capillary permeability. Vecikinin contracted several smooth muscle preparations (rat uterus, rat ascending colon, guinea pig ileum, guinea pig colon and rat ileum), while relaxing rat duodenum. Its contractile activity was not lost on boiling, but acid or alkali-boiling reduced its contractile activity. It was inactivated on incubation with chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase but not with trypsin, pepsin or leucine aminopeptidase. It is a peptide, appears to be of low molecular weight, and could be distinguished from substance P, angiotensin, bradykinin and hornet or wasp kinin.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo test the hypothesis that subcutaneous administration of basal insulin begun immediately after cardiac surgery can decrease the need for insulin infusion in patients without diabetes and save nursing time.MethodsAfter cardiac surgery, 36 adult patients without diabetes were randomly assigned to receive either standard treatment (control group) or insulin glargine once daily in addition to standard treatment (basal insulin group). Standard treatment included blood glucose measurements every 1 to 4 hours and intermittent insulin infusion to maintain blood glucose levels between 100 and 150 mg/dL. The study period lasted up to 72 hours.ResultsThere were no differences in demographics or baseline laboratory characteristics of the 2 study groups. Mean daily blood glucose levels were lower in the basal insulin group in comparison with the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (129.3 ± 9.4 mg/ dL versus 132.6 ± 7.3 mg/dL; P = .25). The mean duration of insulin infusion was significantly shorter in the basal insulin group than in the control group (16.3 ± 10.7 hours versus 26.6 ± 17.3 hours; P = .04). Nurses tested blood glucose a mean of 8.3 ± 3.5 times per patient per day in the basal insulin group and 12.0 ± 4.7 times per patient per day in the control group (P = .01). There was no occurrence of hypoglycemia (blood glucose level < 60 mg/dL) in either group.ConclusionOnce-daily insulin glargine is safe and may decrease the duration of insulin infusion and reduce nursing time in patients without diabetes who have hyperglycemia after cardiac surgery. Macrophage stimulating protein (MSP) is secreted as 78-kDa single chain pro-MSP, which is converted to biologically active, disulfide-linked alphabeta chain MSP by cleavage at Arg(483)-Val(484). Murine resident peritoneal macrophages have two cell surface proteolytic activities that cleave pro-MSP. One is a pro-MSP convertase, which cleaves pro-MSP to active MSP; the other degrades pro-MSP. The degrading protease is inhibited by soybean trypsin inhibitor or by low concentrations of blood plasma, which allows the convertase to cleave pro-MSP to MSP. Using pro-MSP cleavage as the assay, we purified the inhibitor from human plasma. The bulk of the plasma protein was removed by salting out and by isoelectric precipitation of albumin. Highly purified inhibitor was then obtained in three steps: dye-ligand binding and elution, ion exchange chromatography, and high performance liquid chromatography gel filtration. After SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and transfer to a polyvinylidene membrane, N-terminal sequencing of the product identified it as alpha(1)-antichymotrypsin. The mean concentration of alpha(1)-antichymotrypsin in human plasma is 7 micrometer. At this concentration, alpha(1)-antichymotrypsin inhibits both macrophage enzymes. A concentration of 0.4 micrometer, which is in the expected concentration range in extracellular fluid, preferentially inhibits the degrading enzyme, which allows for cleavage to active MSP by the pro-MSP convertase.  相似文献

Intravenous glucose tolerance tests (IVGTT) were performed on 30 anesthetized, captive Sumatran (Pongo pygmaeus abeli), Bornean (P. p. pygmaeus), and hybrid (P. p. ablie x P. p. pygmaeus) orangutans, and fasted blood samples were taken from two additional juvenile orangutans in 11 U.S. zoos from 1989 to 1997. The age range of animals was 3.5 to 40.5 years. Plasma and serum samples were assayed for glucose and insulin concentrations. Glucose disappearance rate (KG), an index of glucose tolerance, was calculated, as were the early (acute) and second phase insulin responses to administered glucose. The mean ± SE (and median) fasting glucose and insulin concentrations were 113 ± 16 mg/dL (90 mg/dL) and 45 ± 7 μU/mL (27 μU/mL), respectively. Two animals previously suspected to be diabetic were easily identified by their markedly elevated fasting glucose concentrations (380 and 562 mg/dL) and relatively low fasted insulin concentrations (21 and 14 μU/mL); their insulin responses during the IVGTTs were also low or non‐detectable. Without these diabetics, the mean ± SE (median) fasting glucose concentration was 92 ± 18 mg/dL (89 mg/dL). Two animals, ages 18 and 40, were identified as potentially pre‐diabetic based on age, adiposity, elevated fasted glucose (116 and 137 mg/dL, respectively), and elevated fasted insulin concentrations (114 and 217 μU/mL, respectively). In addition, nearly half of the animals of varying ages, all sub‐species and both sexes exhibited delayed or attenuated acute insulin responses during the IVGTTs, resulting in lower KG (P < 0.04) and suggesting propensity for glucose intolerance in captive orangutans. Glucose and insulin concentrations and insulin responses to glucose did not differ between females on hormonal contraception regimes and those not receiving treatment. The effect of the Finnish sauna on insulin absorption from a subcutaneous injection site was examined in eight insulin-dependent diabetic patients by measuring externally the disappearance rate of 125I-labelled rapid-acting insulin. The sauna (twice for 25 minutes at 85 degrees C) accelerated insulin absorption by 110% as compared with room temperature (p < 0.01). After the sauna blood glucose concentrations were 3.0-3.3 mmol/1 (54.1-59.5 mg/100 ml) lower than on the control day (p < 0.05). The fall in blood glucose values was proportional to the increased rate of insulin absorption (r = 0.30; p < 0.01). The hypoglycaemic effect of a sauna in insulin-treated diabetics is clearly at least partly due to enhanced insulin absorption from the injection site. Such an effect might be prevented by taking a snack or reducing the insulin dose.  相似文献

Background

Recent studies show that bile acids are involved in glucose and energy homeostasis through activation of G protein coupled membrane receptor (TGR5) and farnesoid X receptor (FXR). A few researches have explored changes of TGR5 and FXR in animals with impaired glucose regulation. This study aimed to observe changes of plasma total bile acids (TBA), glucagon-like-peptide 1 (GLP-1), fibroblast growth factor 15 (FGF15), intestinal expressions of TGR5 and FXR, and correlations between them in rats with glucose intolerance.

Methods

Besides plasma fasting glucose, lipid, TBAs, alanine transaminase (ALT), active GLP-1(GLP-1A) and FGF15, a postprandial meal test was used to compare responses in glucose, insulin and GLP-1A among groups. The expressions of TGR5 and FXR in distal ileum and ascending colon were quantified by real-time PCR and western blot.

Results

TGR5 expression was significantly decreased in distal ileum in DM group compared to other groups, and TGR5 and FXR expressions in ascending colon were also decreased in DM group compared to other groups. Correlation analysis showed correlations between TBA and GLP-1A or FGF15. GLP-1A was correlated with TGR5 mRNA expression in colon, and FGF15 was correlated with FXR mRNA expression in colon.

Conclusions

These results indicates that bile acid-TGR5/FXR axis contributes to glucose homeostasis.

We have previously demonstrated that D-chiroinositol, administered intravenously to insulin-resistant monkeys, increases the rate of disappearance of plasma glucose and insulin. The purpose of the present study was to determine whether orally administered D-chiroinositol might also similarly improve the postprandial plasma glucose profile of hyperinsulinemic insulin-resistant monkeys. A complete liquid diet meal (15 ml/kg body weight) was ingested by each of six monkeys on two occasions separated by 10 days, with conditions identical except D-chiroinositol (500 mg/kg body weight) was added to the second meal. At 110 minutes following each meal, the monkeys were anesthetized and blood samples obtained at 120, 150, 180, 210, 240, 270 and 300 minutes. Plasma glucose and insulin concentrations were determined. The mean plasma glucose concentration (120 ? 300 minutes) was significantly lower after the meal containing D-chiroinositol compared to the control meal (7.1 ± 1.2 vs. 7.8 ± 1.2 mM) (p<0.05). Plasma insulin concentrations tended to be lower after the meal containing D-chiroinositol compared to the control meal (3930 ± 1068 vs. 4518 ± 1200 pM) (p<0.15, ns). We conclude that in hyperinsulinemic monkeys, D-chiroinositol added to a meal lowers postprandial plasma glucose without an increase in plasma insulin, and therefore may be a useful agent for reducing meal-induced hyperglycemia without inducing hyperinsulinemia.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of intravenous chromium on serum glucose and insulin infusion rates in hospitalized patients with severe insulin resistance.MethodsIn this retrospective study, we reviewed hospital records from January 1, 2008, to December 1, 2008, to identify patients for whom intravenous chromium was ordered at our academic medical center. To be included, patients were required to demonstrate profound insulin resistance and uncontrolled hyperglycemia (defined as the inability to achieve a blood glucose value less than 200 mg/ dL during the 12 hours before chromium was given despite administration of continuous insulin infusion at a rate of 20 or more units/h) and to have received a continuous infusion of chromium chloride at 20 mcg/h for 10 to 15 hours for a total dose of 200 to 240 mcg.ResultsFourteen patients met our inclusion criteria. Over the hour preceding intravenous chromium infusion, the mean ± standard deviation rate of insulin infusion was 31 ± 15 units/h, and blood glucose was 326 ± 86 mg/dL. Twelve hours after the initiation of chromium, these values were 16 ± 16 units/h and 162 ± 76 mg/dL, respectively (P = .011 for difference in mean insulin rate from baseline, P <.001 for difference in mean blood glucose from baseline) and 24 hours after, these values were 12 ± 15 units/h and 144 ± 48 mg/dL, respectively (P <.001 for both).ConclusionsIntravenous chromium decreases insulin needs and improves glucose control at 12 and 24 hours compared with baseline values. Chromium appears to improve hyperglycemia and insulin resistance in acutely ill patients and represents a potential new therapy. Future prospective randomized controlled trials are needed to confirm these results. (Endocr Pract. 2012;18:394-398)  相似文献

Six C-peptide deficient diabetics receiving twice daily mixtures of short and intermediate acting insulins were selected for study because of persistently raised blood glucose concentrations before and after breakfast. They were investigated to assess the effect of moving their evening injection of intermediate acting insulin to bedtime. The patients'' usual twice daily insulin treatment was optimised and compared with the bedtime regimen during inpatient metabolic studies and an outpatient crossover study. With the conventional injection regimen blood glucose concentration rose sharply from 0500 to reach a fasting mean value of 10 +/- SE 1 . 6 mmol/l (180 +/- 29 mg/100 ml) and 16 . 8 +/- 2 . 2 mmol/l (303 +/- 40 mg/100 ml) after breakfast. By contrast, when the evening dose of intermediate acting insulin was delayed until bedtime the nocturnal rise in blood glucose concentration started later and was significantly lower both fasting (7 . 5 +/- 1 . 1 mmol/l (135 +/- 20 mg/100 ml); p less than 0 . 02) and after breakfast (13 . 2 +/- 1 . 4 mmol/l(238 +/- 25 mg/100 ml); p less than 0 . 02). Fasting blood concentrations of ketone bodies (3-hydroxybutyrate) were also significantly decreased. Plasma free insulin concentrations showed the predicted changes in five of the six patients. Blood glucose profiles collected over four months during the outpatient study confirmed the beneficial effect of giving intermediate acting insulin at bedtime.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo determine the dose-response and time course of action of a single dose of dexamethasone on plasma glucose and insulin dynamics in healthy adults.MethodsParticipants included healthy adults who met the following inclusion criteria: 18 to 65 years of age, body mass index of 18 to 25 kg/m2, no family history of diabetes mellitus, not taking any medication known to affect glucose tolerance, and nonpregnant state for female participants. Each participant underwent 3 sequential blocks of 75-g oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTTs) on days 1, 2, and 3; this sequence was repeated on 3 different occasions separated by more than 2 weeks. On the first day of each block, participants reported to the research center after a 10- to 12-hour overnight fast, and fasting baseline blood samples for glucose, insulin, and C-peptide were obtained. Baseline (0 mg) OGTT was then performed with a 75-g glucose load, and blood samples were collected at 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes for measurements of glucose, insulin, and C-peptide. After the baseline OGTT on day 1, a single dose of either 2-, 4- or 8-mg of dexamethasone was administered orally. Twenty-four and 48 hours later, participants returned for additional OGTTs.ResultsTen healthy volunteers (4 male and 6 female) were enrolled. The effect of dexamethasone was maximal 24 hours after 8-mg dexamethasone compared with the effect observed after no dexamethasone administration. At 60 minutes during the OGTT (following 8-mg dexamethasone), blood glucose increased from 127 ± 7.1 mg/dL (6.35 ± 0.36 mmol/L) to 176 ± 19 mg/dL (8.8 ± 0.95 mmol/L), insulin increased from 49.3 ± 3.2 μIU/mL (342 ± 22 pmol/L) to 119.7 ± 10.1 μIU/mL (831 ± 70 pmol/L), and C-peptide increased from 6376 ± 510 pg/L (1913 ± 153 pmol/L) to 10 143 ± 1016 pg/L (3043 ± 305 pmol/L); the 60-minute levels returned towards baseline at 48 hours. Smaller changes were observed with 2- and 4-mg dexamethasone. Twenty-four hours after 8-mg dexamethasone, there was a 2.2- and 1.5-fold increase in homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance and homeostasis model assessment of β cell, respectively, and a 2.5-fold decrease in the Matsuda sensitivity index.ConclusionsA single oral dose of 8-mg dexamethasone increases blood glucose, insulin, and C-peptide levels maximally at 24 hours, 1 hour following 75-g OGTT. A dexamethasone stress test might identify persons at increased risk for type 2 diabetes. (Endocr Pract. 2010:16:770-777)  相似文献

Recent evidence indicates that soybean, which is widely used in animal nutrition, could directly alter intestinal ion and nutrient transport. However, the mechanisms involved are still unknown. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of three differently treated soybean products on the glucose and Cl- transport capacity in porcine small intestine by the Ussing chamber technique. Jejunal and ileal piglet epithelial tissues were pre-incubated with extracts of raw soybean flour (RSF), heated soybean flour (HSF), or ethanol heat-treated soybean protein concentrate (SPC). The Na(+)-dependent glucose co-absorption capacity was then measured as an increase in the short-circuit current (ISC) after luminal addition of D-glucose. The effect of the soybean products on cAMP-dependent Cl- secretion was measured as the increase in ISC after the addition of the phosphodiesterase inhibitor, theophylline, while nervous regulation of Cl- secretion was investigated by the addition of the enteric neurotransmitters; 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), substance P and vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP). Incubation with RSF and HSF induced a 30% decrease of the Na(+)-dependent glucose absorption capacity in the jejunum. The effect was similar for RSF in the ileum. Theophylline-induced secretion was decreased by 30% after incubation with RSF, HSF and SPC but only in the jejunum. 5-HT-, substance P- and VIP-induced secretion were not altered by incubation with soybean extracts except in the HSF-incubated where the substance P-induced secretion was significantly reduced. In conclusion, soybean contains ethanol-sensitive heat-insensitive compounds impairing Na(+)-dependent glucose absorption in the jejunum and ileum, and ethanol- and heat-insensitive compounds causing an acute impairment of cAMP-dependent jejunal secretion.  相似文献

Morphological and functional changes of rat pancreatic islets caused by administration of streptozotocin (STZ) and the bioavailability of insulin formulations administered to STZ-induced diabetic rats with fasting (12 h) or non-fasting were investigated. Islets isolated from normal rats maintained a good three-dimensional structure and the islet yield was 962.5±86.5 islet equivalent number (IEQ, islets converted to an average diameter of 150 μm). In the diabetic group (>500 mg/ml blood glucose), the islet yield was only 44.4±8.3 IEQ and the islet was severely damaged. The minimum reduction of blood glucose of each formulation, such as insulin solution, microcrystal, and insulin microcrystal capsule, was shown to be 11.3, 11.0, and 16.3 mg/dl, respectively, at 6 h in fasting with diabetic rats. These results indicated that the administration of insulin formulations to the fasting groups increased the severe hypoglycemic effect of insulin action more than in non-fasting diabetic rats. The diabetic rat with fasting has a regulatory disorder in maintaining the blood glucose level. Accordingly, the validity of pharmacological availability as an optimal modeling of insulin formulations is best in non-fasting STZ-induced diabetic rats.  相似文献

Specific binding of [3H]aldosterone to the cytosolic fraction of epithelial cells was studied in the human colon and terminal ileum. Analysis of [3H]aldosterone binding to the epithelial cells of ascending colon, caecum and ileum as a function of [3H]aldosterone concentration revealed only one class of specific receptors with an affinity constant of about 2 nmol/l. [3H]aldosterone binding was approximately the same in the sigmoid, descending and transverse colon and in the caecum, but slightly lower in the ascending colon and ileum. The specificity of the [3H]aldosterone binding was the same along the colon. The relative order of potency in inhibiting [3H]aldosterone binding was: aldosterone = SC 26304 = dexamethasone much greater than dihydrotestosterone greater than estradiol = RU 26988.  相似文献

In the first phase after on oral glucose load or after sham-feeding of glucose in conscious intact or on the oesophagus fistulated dogs respectively, the peripheral venous plasma insulin concentration increases independently of any blood glucose alteration. After previous intravenous atropin injection, this reflectoric insulin secretion cannot be observed. The N. vagus is involved in the afferent and/or efferent side of the reinforcing mechanism of insulin secretion basing on the entero-insular axis. Additionally the enteral glucose absorption is inhibited.  相似文献
