The parasitoid community of Anophococcus abaii (Danzig, 1990) – one of the main pests of Haloxylon in Iran – was studied. Four species of Chalcidoidea, belonging to the families Aphelinidae, Encyrtidae, Pteromalidae, and Signiphoridae, were found. Metaphycus anophococcusi Lotfalizadeh, n. sp. is described in the zebratus species group and compared with closely allied species of Metaphycus.  相似文献

Summary

Over the past few decades, many records of the parasitoids parasitizing Coccinellidae have been reported from Iran. Some of them, presented in hard to access conference proceedings, theses, older books and journal articles, were then inaccurately quoted in other papers. Furthermore, some other records were subsequently considered misidentifications and the corrected identity of the parasitoids was proposed in later published papers. Due to the accumulation of that misleading information, we decided to gather and critically evaluate all available Iranian data on the parasitoids of Coccinellidae. To the review presented here we also added new data on the parasitism of Coccinella septempunctata L. by a braconid Dinocampus coccinellae (Schrank) in the Lorestan province and on the parasitism of Hyperaspis pseudopustulata Mulsant by an encyrtid Homalotylus flaminius (Dalman) in the Kermanshah province. Hyperaspis pseudopustulata is a new host for H. flaminius, and is also a species new to the fauna of Iran. Altogether, our review revealed one species of dipteran and 16 species of hymenopteran parasitoids associated with Coccinellidae in Iran. The identity of some of those species, however, seems uncertain and should be re-examined.  相似文献

Abstract

A report is presented on freshwater animals collected in 1993 in the Sefid Rud catchment area and the basin of Anzali (Gilan, Iran). Some species are recorded for the first time for Iran. There is a considerable number of species of North American origin (neophytes, neozoans), e.g. Gambusia holbrooki, Rhithropanopeus harrisii, and Azolla sp.  相似文献

Abstract

A list of the known species of Trichoptera from Iran is given. Since MALICKY (1986), Hydroptila astraia, H.asteria, Chimarra zagrosensis and Hydropsyche iokaste has been newly described from Iran. New records for the country are Ithytrichia clavata, Pseudoneureclipsis graograman, Hydropsyche bitlis, Micropterna hatatitla and Adicella hakkariensis. The species Hydroptila simulans and Hydropsyche pellucidula could not be confirmed for the fauna of Iran.  相似文献

Four new scythridid species are described: Scythris kabulella sp. nov. and S. claudiae sp. nov. from Afghanistan, S. alborzensis sp. nov. from Iran and S. bifasciella sp. nov. from Iran and Turkey. Scythris kabulella is closely related to S. bagdadiella Amsel, 1949 and is assigned to the S. bagdadiella species group because of its genital features. Scythris claudiae is also assigned to Scythris pascuella species group due to its genital features. At present, S. alborzensis and S. bifasciella could not be assigned to any known species group.  相似文献

An annotated list of species of the Folsomia heterocellata group recorded in China is given. Folsomia cephalota n. sp., F. dorsomediaseta n. sp., F. longiseta n. sp., F. manubriopilosa n. sp., F. longdeica n. sp., and F. plenosensilla n. sp. are characterized by having a simple maxillary palp, four prelabral setae and no eyes. They differentiate mainly by characteristics of the furca. We report other species of the group which are recorded for the first time in China: Folsomia tianshanica Martynova, 1969, F. pseudovtorovi Potapov & Gulgenova, 2013, and F. pseudodecemoculata Stebaeva, 1971. This excludes F. wanxianensis Ji, Ding & Chen, 2007, for which we provide morphological remarks based on the type material. The group is mainly distributed in the central part of China (Chongqing, Gansu, southern part of Inner Mongolia, Ningxia and Shaanxi provinces). A key to all blind species with a simple maxillary palp is given.  相似文献

Abstract

Members of Fusarium oxysporum species complex (FOSC) are economically most important plant pathogenic fungi. Until now, the classification of FOSC members in Iran is not well described. So, the objective of the current research was to study the phylogenetic diversity of FOSC strains recovered from agricultural soils in Iran. A total of 45 isolates belonging to the FOSC were recovered from agricultural soils in Iran. The identification of the members of F. oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum (Fov) and F. oxysporum f. sp. ciceris (Foc) was confirmed molecularly using Fov-eg-f/Fov-eg-r and Foc0-12f/Foc0-12r primers, respectively. F. redolens isolates were distinguished from other FOSC using Redolens-F/Redolens-R primers. Comparisons of DNA sequence data from a portion of the tef1 gene revealed all isolates belonged to Fov, Foc, F. commune and F. redolens. This is the first in-depth report on molecular identification of FOSC and related species isolated from agricultural soils in Iran.  相似文献

The Persian dwarf snake Eirenis (Pseudocyclophis) persicus (Anderson, 1872) has a wide distribution range in south‐western Asia. This species group was comprehensively studied here using traditional biometry, geometric morphometrics, ecological niche modelling, and genetics. Our analyses revealed that E. persicus is split into two clades. A western clade, bearing at least two different species: E. persicus, distributed in south‐western Iran, and an undescribed species from south‐eastern Turkey and western Iran. The eastern clade consists of at least three species: Eirenis nigrofasciatus, distributed across north‐eastern Iraq, and western and southern Iran; Eirenis walteri, distributed across eastern Iran, southern Turkmenistan, and western and southern Pakistan, and Eirenis angusticeps, distributed in north‐eastern Pakistan. Ecological niche modelling revealed that the distribution of the species in the western clade are mainly affected by winter precipitation, and those in the eastern clade are mainly affected by the minimum temperature of the coldest month. A molecular clock analysis revealed that the divergence and diversification of the E. persicus species group mainly correspond to Eocene to Pliocene orogeny events subsequent to the Arabia–Eurasia collision. This study confirms that specimens with the unique morphology of having 13 dorsal scale rows on the anterior dorsum, occurring in the Suleiman Mountains in central Pakistan, can be referred to Eirenis mcmahoni (Wall, 1911). However, at this moment we have insufficient data to evaluate the taxonomy of this species.  相似文献

Abstract

This study was conducted to identify areas of endemism for Acantholimon species using parsimony analysis of endemicity (PAE) and to detect endemic species richness of the genus in the region. The results obtained from the two methods used in this study were used in determining the priorities for the conservation of Acantholimon species in Iran. The distribution database of 62 endemic species belonging to this genus was formed by 1250 georeferenced observations in Iran. The study area was divided into 1?×1? grids of operative geographical units (OGUs) and the species?×?area matrix including presence/absence data was created. The endemic species richness was calculated using circular neighborhood with a radius of 50?km in 10?×?10?km2 raster cells using DIVA-GIS software. The results of PAE analysis have shown four areas of endemism (AOEs) in Iran. AOE1: including Alborz and Zagros mountains, the mountains of central Iran. AOE2 and AOE3 are located in Khorassan subregion and AOE4 contains parts of western Iran. The map of endemic species richness indicated that the highest number of endemic species occurs in central Alborz region as well as Kerman, Chahar-Mahal and Bakhtiari, and Isfahan provinces.  相似文献

Astragalus sect. Incani, one of the most species‐rich sections of Astragalus with ca 140 species, is well known for its taxonomic complexity resulting from overlapping morphological characters and high phenotypic plasticity. Its main centers of diversity are in Iran and Turkey with about 120 species. Using nrDNA ITS and plastid rpl32‐trnL(UAG) markers, we reconstructed the phylogeny of members of the section by means of maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood, Bayesian, Beast and S‐DIVA analyses. This is the first comprehensive work on the section Incani covering its full geographic range. All members of the section (including A. subsecundus) except A. platyphyllus formed a well‐supported clade (Incani s.s.). Within the section, two major groups with different geographic distribution were detected. One group includes nine examined species restricted to eastern Iran and Central Asia and the other group comprises a majority of the species from west and northwestern Iran, Turkey and southern Europe. The Divergence time analysis suggests that Incani s.s. originated in the late Pliocene and a majority of the speciation events dates to the last 1–1.5 Myr. This indicates that the recent diversification of Incani s.s. coincided with climatic changes during the Pliocene and Pleistocene and was followed by complex biogeographical processes in which dispersal have been vital for shaping the current distribution pattern . The S‐DIVA suggested a predominantly east–west route of dispersal from an origin in the east, and a major phylogenetic split between eastern and western lineages. However, the geographical distribution of A. monspessulanus/A. incanus and A. ackerbergensis/A. gueldenstaedtiae does not correspond to their phylogenetic positions. The former species are restricted to southern Europe/North Africa, but belong in two distinct subclades. The latter, restricted to northeastern Iran are phylogenetically close to species of western and northwestern Iran and Turkey. Astragalus sykesiae is resurrected as a distinct species separated from a broadly defined A. mercklinii.  相似文献

A hitherto unknown species of the dipteran family Ulidiidae is described from Iran and Turkey: Herina rajabii n. sp. is similar to H. gyrans (Loew) and H. tristis (Meigen), differing from them by the yellowish-brown scutellum and presence of a very strong subcercal prensiseta on the surstylus. Nine species and four genera of Philodromidae are identified and recorded from various parts of Iran including Pulchellodromus medius (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1872) (genus and species new to Iran) and Thanatus setiger (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1872) (new to Iran). The male of Rhysodromus hierosolymitanus (Levy, 1977), which was previously known only from females, is described and diagnosed here.  相似文献
