An "Orthrius-group" of genera is proposed, and defined to include Aphelochroa Quedenfeldt, 1885; Caridopus Schenkling, 1908; Dozocolletus Chevrolat, 1842; Gyponyx Gorham, 1883; Languropilus Pic, 1940; Orthrius Gorham, 1876; Pieleus Pic, 1940; Xenorthrius Gorham, 1892; plus three new genera Neorthriusgen. n., Nonalatusgen. n. and Pseudoastigmusgen. n. A phylogeny of the 11 constituent Orthrius-group genera (analysis of 22 morphological characters using Clerus Geoffroy as the out-group taxon was performed with TNT v1.1) is proposed. Four genera are synonymised: Burgeonus Pic, 1950, syn. n. (with Aphelochroa Quedenfeldt, 1885); Brinckodes Winkler, 1960, syn. n. and Quasibrinckodes Winkler, 1960, syn. n. (both with Dozocolletus Chevrolat, 1842); and Dedana Fairmaire, 1888, syn. n. (with Orthrius Gorham, 1876). The genera Falsoorthrius Pic, 1940 and Mimorthrius Pic, 1940 are transferred from Clerinae to the subfamily Tillinae.  相似文献

World species of the genus Archipines are reviewed, keyed and illustrated. The following new synonyms are proposed: Archipines championi (Gorham, 1889) [=Archipines multinotata (Pic, 1929)]; Archipines exsanguis (Gerstaecker, 1858) [=Archipines quadrimaculata (Pic, 1928)]; Archipines flavida (Pic, 1928) [=Archipines grandis Strohecker, 1957]. Lectotypes are designated for Phalantha championi Gorham, Ph. intricata Gorham, Ph. pictipennis Gorham and Ph. variegata Gorham. Four new species: Archipines oberthuri (Brazil), A. unicolor (Brazil), A. macromaculata (Peru), A. peruviensis (Peru) and two new subspecies: A. exsanguis sanestebani (Venezuela), A. apicicornis fairmairei (Peru) are described. The immature stages (mature larva and pupa) of A. championi are described and illustrated. Distribution, nomenclatural history and diagnoses are provided for each species.  相似文献

I compared the type specimens of Drilus attenuatus Pic, 1914 and D. attenuatus var. subparallelus Pic, 1934 from Rhodes. Both taxa are redescribed and the latter is given the full species status based on the different external morphology and male genitalia. Altogether, four species are currently known from the island of Rhodes: Drilus attenuatus Pic, 1914, D. bleusei (Olivier, 1913), D. rufipes (Baudi di Selve, 1871), and D. subparallelus Pic, 1934 stat. rev. All species but D. rufipes are endemic to the island. An identification key to the males of Drilus species found in Rhodes is provided.  相似文献

Two new species of the genus Tillicera Spinola, 1841 from China are described and illustrated: Tillicera sensibilissp. n. from Yunnan (also from Myanmar, Thailand and Laos) and Tillicera weniisp. n. from Taiwan. Tillicera bibalteata Gorham, 1892, Tillicera hirsuta (Pic, 1926) and Tillicera michaeli Gerstmeier & Bernhard, 2010 are newly recorded from China. Tillicera auratofasciata (Pic, 1927) is newly recorded in some provinces of China. A key to species of the genus from China is provided. Relationships between species are discussed with emphasis on characters of male phallus, female internal reproductive organs and pit-like sensilla in male terminal antennomere, which is discovered in Tillicera for the first time. The present generic definition of Tillicera is discussed as well. Photos of terminalia of the previously known species are also provided for comparison.  相似文献

Abstract

Oochoristica novaezealandae n. sp. is described from the small intestine of a skink, Leiolopisma nigriplantare maccanni (Hardy 1977) from Birdling's Flat, Banks Peninsula, South Island, New Zealand. In having fewer than 20 testes it differs from all other species in the genus except O. chinensis Jensen, Schmidt & Kuntz, 1983; O. vacuolata Hickman, 1954; O. lygosomae Burt, 1933; and O. lygosomatis Skinker, 1935. Of these, it most resembles O. chinensis, but differs from it in the ovary, which consists of 2 rounded lobes; they are subdivided into finger-like lobules in O. chinensis. Further, O. novaezealandae has a conspicuous, encapsulated, sac-like mass of glands surrounding the genital atrium; these are not present in O. chinensis.  相似文献

The latifrons species-group (=Brachycallimerus sensu Chapin 1924, Corporaal 1950; = flavofasciatus-group sensu Kolibáč 1998) of Callimerus Gorham is redefined and revised. Five species are recognized including one new species Callimerus cacuminis Yang & Yang sp. n. (type locality: Yunnan, China). Callimerus flavofasciatus Schenkling, 1902 is newly synonymized with Callimerus latifrons Gorham, 1876. Callimerus trifasciatus Schenkling, 1899a is transferred to the genus Corynommadius Schenkling, 1899a. Callimerus gorhami Corporaal, 1949 and Callimerus pallidus Gorham, 1892 are excluded from the latifrons species-group (their assignment to a species-group will be dealt with in a subsequent paper). A key to species of the latifrons species-group is given and habitus of each type specimen, male terminalia, and other diagnostic characters are illustrated.  相似文献

Chromosomes have been studied in seven species of bruchids belonging to the subfamilies Bruchinae and Amblycerinae. The diploid number of chromosomes is twenty in Bruchidius multilineolatus (Pic.), B. aureus Arora, B. saundersi (Jek.) and Conicobruchus indicus (Pic.); Bruchus pisorum L. and Specularius maindroni (Pic.) possess a diploid number of twenty-two whereas Spermophagus latescenta Arora has a diploid number of thirty-two. The male sex chromosome mechanism, however, is uniformly Xyp in all these species. The usual diplotene and diakinesis stages are not discrete in Bruchidius multilineolatus and Specularius maindroni. Instead, a diffuse stage is observed. A sticky anaphase bridge has also been observed in some cells of Bruchidius aureus.  相似文献

The oriental species previously included in the rarely collected genus Nemotha Wood-Mason, 1884 (Mantodea: Iridopterygidae) are revised. N. coomani (Chopard, 1930) and N. mirabilis Beier, 1933 strongly differ from the type species N. metallica (Westwood, 1845) by family-level morphological features, but share a unique type of forefemoral armament with the genera Hapalopeza Stål, 1877 and Amantis Giglio-Tos, 1915, suggesting Nemotha is of a polyphyletic nature. The genus Tricondylomimus Chopard, 1930 is resurrected from synonymy to accommodate T. coomani, T. mirabilis n. comb. and the species which is newly described in this article, T. intermedius n. sp. The monotypic genus Pseudogousa Tinkham, 1937 and its species P. sinensis Tinkham, 1937 are synonymized with Tricondylomimus and T. mirabilis, respectively. The genus Tricondylomimus is placed in Iridopterygidae, while Nemotha is transferred to Hymenopodidae: Anaxarchini.  相似文献

Morphological studies of type-species of the genera Peltidocotyle Diesing, 1850 and Othinoscolex Woodland, 1933 showed that these genera are synonyms. We therefore redescribe the type and fresh material of Peltidocotyle rugosa Diesing, 1850 and P. lenha (Woodland, 1933) [= Othinoscolex lenha Woodland, 1933], which appears to constitute two distinct species. They differ in the number and number of layers of testes, the diameter of the metascolex and the field occupied by the vitelline follicles. Phylogenetic analyses based on partial DNA sequences of 16S rDNA, 5.8S-ITS2 and 28S rDNA support these results. P. lenha and Woodlandiella myzofer (Woodland, 1933) are considered conspecific following a thorough morphological examination. With regard to host-parasite relationships, P. lenha has been reported from two host species, which is unusual as South American proteocephalideans generally display an oioxenous type of host-specificity.  相似文献
