Linaria arabiniana sp. nov. is described from coastal sand dunes of a very reduced area in Alicante Province (south-eastern part of the Iberian Peninsula). It is a perennial herb characterized by its 3–4-verticillate leaves, glabrous stems, large violet or rarely yellow flowers, and bicoloured usually flat seeds. Morphological characteristics and taxonomic affinities of this taxon are discussed, as are data on its ecology, phytosociology, and eventual conservation features.  相似文献

An investigation of species of the Antirrhineae (Scrophulariaceae), primarily from the point of view of seed morphology, has indicated that the inclusion of Linaria chalepensis and L. armeniaca in section Versicolores is unsatisfactory. Several unusual features of both the seeds and other parts of the plants provide a basis for recognizing a distinct section to include these two species. An overlooked infrageneric taxon of Linaria has been reinstated as section Macrocentrum (C. Koch) D. Sutton. All taxa included in this section are described and illustrated. The significance of the unusual seed morphology is discussed in relation to the affinities of the genus.  相似文献

Misopates pontiense sp. nov. is described from one population located in the north-west of the Iberian Peninsula. It is an annual, living on charred soils. Its distinguishing characteristics include its seeds, which have a carinate dorsal face and an encircling rounded ridge with cylindrical papillae, but lack a median ridge on the ventral face. Morphological characters and taxonomic affinities are discussed.  相似文献

Linaria qartobensis, from southern Iberian Peninsula, is here newly described, illustrated and compared with its morphologically closest relatives from L. sect. Supinae: L. ricardoi and L. orbensis. The new species is characterized by longer calyx lobes, corolla and spur, violet corolla with yellow‐orangish palate, big and globose capsule, and seeds with black and prominently white‐tuberculate disc and subentire wing. Linaria qartobensis is an endemic species growing on marly deposits from the Guadalquivir river basin, in the Córdoba province (Andalusia, Spain).  相似文献

Linaria azerbaijanensis and Linaria shahroudensis are described as new species from the Azerbaijan and Semnan provinces of Iran, respectively, belong to section Linaria.The new species are compared to their closest relative Linaria lineolata. Linaria azerbaijanensis differs from L. lineolata in having shorter bracts, a shorter corolla, shorter spur and smaller capsules and a different microsculpturing pattern of the testa cells. A new species of the section Lepidoseris (Rchb.) Benth. of the genus Crepis L. (Asteraceae) is described. The new species is restricted to a single known locality on near-vertical coastal cliffs of the Ria de Cedeira in northern Galicia (northwest Iberian Peninsula). Morphometric characters permitting discrimination from the most similar taxa are detailed, and possible phylogenetic relationships with other species of the section Lepidoseris (particularly those of the C. vesicaria complex) are discussed.  相似文献

Typification of the names Antirrhinum barrelieri Boreau, A. controversum Pau and A. litigiosum Pau (Antirrhineae, Plantaginaceae) is needed to clarify the use and concept of these three names. The origin of a misinterpretation of the name A. barrelieri, which conditioned the subsequent use of these three names, is discussed. The previous ‘lectotype’ of A. barrelieri designated by Rothmaler from a Barrelier's illustration is shown to be ineffective, being contrary to Art. 9.12 of the ICN, and therefore a lectotype is designated from a syntype preserved in the herbarium of the Muséum des sciences naturelles d'Angers (France) at ANG. The Pau's names A. controversum and A. litigiosum have not been typified before, and lectotypes are here designated from specimens preserved at P and MA, respectively. As a consequence, the name A. litigiosum should be treated as a later heterotypic synonym of A. barrelieri.  相似文献

As part of a recent revision of the genus Crambe , based on the morphological study of herbarium and cultivated material, the systematics of section Dendrocrambe DC. are reviewed here. Section Dendrocrambe (including monospecific section Rhipocrambe Svent.) is considered to comprise 14 species, all endemic to Macaronesian archipelagoes: 13 in the Canary Islands and one in the Madeira Islands. Crambe feuilleei A. We describe a species of Odontites, O. bolligeri E.Rico, L.Delgado & Herrero, endemic to the south‐eastern Iberian Peninsula and north Africa, from Morocco to Tunisia. This species belongs to the O. purpureus group and corresponds to the taxon that the monographer Markus Bolliger called O. squarrosus subsp. squarrosus. However, according to the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (ICBN), this is an invalid name, and hence we propose a new name for these plants here. Drawings of the new species are also supplied. The taxonomy of South-East Asian mouse-deer ( Tragulus ) is complex, and after some 120 years of considerable taxonomic revisions of the genus a clear key is still lacking for the determination of species and subspecies. Through craniometrical analysis of 338 skulls of Tragulus and some study of coat coloration patterns we have come to a better understanding of mouse-deer taxonomy. Our results show that there are three species groups: the T. javanicus -group, the T. napu -group, and T. versicolor . Within the T. javanicus -group we recognize three species: T. javanicus (from Java), T. williamsoni (from northern Thailand and possibly southern China), and T. kanchil (from the rest of the range), and within these species we provisionally recognize 16 subspecies. Within the T. napu -group we recognize two species: T. nigricans (from Balabac), and T. napu (from the rest of the range); within these species we provisionally recognize eight subspecies. Summary

We analyse the fruiting phase of the life cycleof Digitalis thapsi L. We studied the production and size of seeds and capsules, and the interpopulational variability and inter-relationships of these parameters. The capsule volume, number of seeds per capsule, of seeds per individual, and of capsules per individual were inter-related and fairly affected by the medium, whereas seed weight was found to bea more independent character. A germination study showed that the species has agreat germinative capacity and has positive photoblasty. It is non-dormant especially if incubated under experimental conditions close to the climatic conditions of the site of provenance of the samples. An increase in temperature speeds up the process without increasing germinability. The morphological and biometric characteristics of the first stages of development of the species following germination were analysed. It was found that seed weight is not positively correlated with cotyledon length nor with any of the other parameters con-sidered, and that the length of the fifth leaf is a useful parameter to express inter-populational genetic variability. Seedling production in spring seems to be influenced more by physical than by chemical factors.  相似文献
