A new tribe of digger wasps, Protomicroidini trib. nov. (Hymenoptera, Crabronidae), including a single known species Protomicroides sororius gen. et sp. nov. is described from the Upper Eocene Rovno amber, Ukraine. The new tribe combines features characteristic of several tribes of the Crabroninae and is a sister group of the extant tribe Oxybelini. The most distinctive characters of the new tribe include nonelongate propodeum with strongly developed lateral keel and enclosed dorsal area; semioval postscutellum with a lamellate border; absence of pygidial plate, psammophores, and digging tarsal rakes; and considerably reduced forewing venation.  相似文献

A new genus and a new species of the tenebrionine tribe Alphitobiini, Alphitopsis initialis gen. et sp. nov. is described from Yixian (Liaoning Province, China). The new genus is the oldest member of the subfamily Tenebrioninae and it is most similar to Metaclisa Jacquelin du Val, 1861, but differs from all the genera of the tribe Alphitobiini in the structure of elytral epipleura and antennae.  相似文献

Eocene forest ecosystems can be considered as rich biodiversity hotspots regarding soldier beetles (family Cantharidae). Paleogene European ambers, for instance, comprised many genera that are still extant in Europe, but also extinct forms and lineages such as the tribe established herein, or the tribe Mimoplatycini Kazantsev, 2013 that mimics the lycids. In this note, the authors describe Cacomorphocerus wiszniewskii sp. nov., and the new tribe Cacomorphocerini tri. nov. is proposed for Cacomorphocerus Schaufuss, 1892 and Sucinocantharis Ku?ka and Kania, 2010. The new tribe is characterized by antennae with 12 or 16 articles, with saucer-shaped or dilated central antennomeres and is distributed in Eocene Baltic and Rovno amber. Furthermore, Cacomorphocerus is transferred from the subfamily Dysmorphocerinae Brancucci, 1980 to Cantharinae Imhoff, 1856.  相似文献

Leaves from the tribe Banksieae of the Proteaceae are well represented in Tertiary deposits in south-eastern Australia. Four new species of Banksieaephyllum are erected, taking the total to 11, and two species are described in a new genus, with leaves with architectural similarities to the tribe Banksieae but without organic preservation. The fossil species demonstrate that the tribe was diverse by the end of the Eocene, but it is difficult to determine the ancestral type from the fossil evidence at present. The vegetation associated with some of the fossil species suggests that the tribe may have had its origins in rainforest, and became adapted to the typically dry, nutrient-poor conditions of sclerophyllous vegetation during the course of the Tertiary.  相似文献

A remarkable new rove beetle, Protodeleaster glaber gen. et sp. nov, is described and illustrated based on two well-preserved specimens from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Liaoning Province, China. The new genus is placed in the extant staphylinid subfamily Oxytelinae, and recent tribe Euphaniini, based on several characteristic features (e.g. a single pair of wide paratergites on abdominal segments; open procoxal fissures; contiguous mesocoxae; abdominal sternite II short and poorly sclerotized). This find from the Early Cretaceous documents the oldest fossil representative of the tribe Euphaniini. Morphologically, it resembles most closely the recent genus Platydeleaster Schülke, 2003, an unusual member of the extant Oxytelinae. According to the currently accepted hypothesis of the phylogenetic position of Euphaniini and the prior discovery of other taxa from the Late Jurassic, we suggest the tribe might have first appeared at least as early as the Late Jurassic.  相似文献

The 36 species of the tribe Pronophilini known from the Cordillera de Merida, the main Andean mountain range in Venezuela, are listed, together with three others probably erroneously described or labelled as from the range. The general ecological characteristics of the tribe are described, using the Merida species as examples. These include its restriction to high altitudes, endemism in mountain 'islands', species partitioning up the altitude gradient, mimicry within the tribe, and seasonality. The evolutionary relationships of the 16 endemic species are analyzed. Two new genera, six new species, two new subspecies and one new form are described. Three new synonymies are established, three new combinations made, new status is given to two taxa and the status of one taxon is revised.  相似文献

A new fossil species from the Eocene Baltic amber of the extinct tribe Mimoplatycini Kazantsev, 2013 (Cantharidae Malthininae), is illustrated and described here. Mimoplatycis marchettii sp. nov. is characterized by a transverse but interrupted carina in the middle of pronotum. The tribe is known from Baltic and Rovno amber, and the pronotum with carinae similar to Lycidae could be interpreted as mimicry. The pronotal shape is here indicated as a diagnostic character of the species level.  相似文献

A new cicadellid tribe, Tungurahualini, is recognized to include Tungurahuala Kramer, and a related new genus, Ilyapagen. n., based on six new species. The tribe is included in subfamily Mileewinae, the concept of which is further expanded to include tribes Makilingiini Baker, and Tinteromini Godoy and Webb, taxa previously treated as separate subfamilies. Keys to tribes of Mileewinae (sensu lato) and genera of Tungurahualini are provided. A new species of Tungurahuala, Tungurahuala acuminatasp. n., is also described and keys to species of Tungurahuala and Ilyapa are provided. The new tribe is presently recorded only from cloud forests in the northern Andes Mountains of South America.  相似文献

Ennoticus mnemosynon gen. et sp. nov. is described from Upper Cretaceous (Santonian) Taimyr amber. The new genus belongs to the tribe Cryptophagini and seems similar to the extant genus Mnionomidius, but differs from it in the presence of femoral lines. The new genus is similar to the tribe Caenoscelini in the presence of femoral lines, but differs from it in the parallel-sided tibia and weakly serrated lateral border of the pronotum. The new taxon is the most ancient representative of Cryptophaginae with femoral lines, an important distinctive feature.  相似文献

Anderberg, A. A. & Karis, P. O. 1995. Psednotrichia , a genus of the tribe Senecioneae hitherto misplaced in the Astereae (Asteraceae). — Nord. J. Bot. 15: 375–379. Copenhagen. ISSN 0107–055X.
The tribal position for the little known genus Psednorrichia , is established. This monotypic genus, hitherto placed in the tribe Astereae, is a congener of Xyridopsis of the tribe Senecioneae (Asteraceae). The two species of Xyridopsis are here transferred to Psednotrichia and the new combinations P. xyridopsis and P. newtonii are made. A brief discussion of the morphology of the genus, and its systematic position within the tribe Senecioneae is provided.  相似文献

Providing accurate animals’ phylogenies rely on increasing knowledge of neglected phyla. Tardigrada diversity evaluated in broad phylogenies (among phyla) is biased towards eutardigrades. A comprehensive phylogeny is demanded to establish the representative diversity and propose a more natural classification of the phylum. So, we have performed multilocus (18S rRNA and 28S rRNA) phylogenies with Bayesian inference and maximum likelihood. We propose the creation of a new class within Tardigrada, erecting the order Apochela (Eutardigrada) as a new Tardigrada class, named Apotardigrada comb. n. Two groups of evidence support its creation: (a) morphological, presence of cephalic appendages, unique morphology for claws (separated branches) and wide‐elongated buccopharyngeal apparatus without placoids, and (b) phylogenetic support based on molecular data. Consequently, order Parachela is suppressed and its superfamilies erected as orders within Eutardigrada, maintaining their current names. We propose a new classification within the family Echiniscidae (Echiniscoidea, Heterotardigrada) with morphological and phylogenetic support: (a) subfamily Echiniscinae subfam. n., with two tribes Echiniscini tribe n. and Bryodelphaxini tribe n.; (b) subfamily Pseudechiniscinae subfam. n., with three tribes Cornechiniscini tribe n., Pseudechiniscini tribe n. and Anthechiniscini tribe n.; and (c) subfamily Parechiniscinae subfam. n., with two tribes Parechiniscini tribe n. and Novechiniscini tribe n. Reliable biodiversity selection for tardigrades in broad phylogenies is proposed due to biased analyses performed up to now. We use our comprehensive molecular phylogeny to evaluate the evolution of claws in the clawless genus Apodibius and claw reduction across the Tardigrada tree of life. Evolutionary consequences are discussed.  相似文献

This publication is based on recent studies of Lower Cretaceous leaf beetles from the Yixian Formation (Liaoning, China), which are represented by five new species of one new genus Mesolpinus gen. nov. (M. antenattus sp. nov. [type species], M. adapertilis sp. nov., M. angusticollis sp. nov., M. basicollis sp. nov., and M. trapezicollis sp. nov.) assigned to a new tribe, Mesolpinini trib. nov. of the subfamily Chrysomelinae. This tribe, which includes only species from the Jehol biota, is the oldest known group of the family in the fossil record. A key to species of the genus Mesolpinus gen. nov. is provided and the position of the new tribe is discussed. A brief overview of the Mesozoic data on the subfamily Chrysomeloidea is given.  相似文献

A new genus and species of comb-clawed beetles, Calcarocistela kirejtshuki gen. et sp. nov., from the Lower Cretaceous of Yixian (China) is described. The new genus is assigned to the tribe Gonoderini of the subfamily Alleculinae (family Tenebrionidae) based on the following characters: five visible abdominal ventrites, nonwidened tarsomeres without a membranous ventral lobes, and serrate antennae. The new genus differs from other members of the tribe Gonoderini in the long spurs of metatibia reaching a half of the first metatarsomere and the lamellate prosternal process. Calcarocistela kirejtshuki is the first member of Alleculinae from the Lower Cretaceous.  相似文献

SUMMARY. The author proposes a new systematic division of the suborder Schizogregarina on the basis of the comparative morphology of the different stages of the life-cycle of the different genera. Two families, Dischizae and Monoschizae, are divided into a total of 6 tribes: The Dischizae into Ophryocystinae with the genera Ophryocystis, Mattesia, Menzbieria, Lipocystis and Sawayella , and Machadoellinae with the genera Machadoella and Farinocystis; Monoschizae into the tribe Caulleryellinae with genera Caulleryella, Tipulocystis and Merogregarina , the tribe Syncystinae with the genera Syncystis and Lipotropha , the tribe Schizocystinae with the genera Schizocystis and Siedleckia and the tribe Selenidiinae with the genera Selenidium and Meroselenidium.  相似文献

The Asiatic genus Decaschistia has traditionally been placed in the tribe Hibisceae, but it is shown that this genus has a combination of characters that does not permit it to be accommodated either in the Hibisceae or in any other tribe of the Malvaceae. A new tribe, the Decaschistieae Fryx., is therefore described and distinguished from the other four tribes currently accepted in the Malvaceae.  相似文献

Taxonomic studies on chironomids of the tribe Tanytarsini recorded in Eocene Baltic amber from the Rovno region have revealed two new species: Archistempellina perkovskyi and Stempellinella ivanovae. Both species display interesting characters supporting evolutionary trends in the tribe. A. perkovskyi nov. sp. combines plesiomorphic characters, thus consolidating the hypothesis that the genus Archistempellina is one of the basal lineages of the tribe Tanytarsini. The antennal flagellum composed of 13 discernible segments found in S. ivanovae nov. sp. is defined as a plesiomorphic character state opposite to a reduced number of flagellomeres in extant species; the nipple-like process on the apex of the gonostylus is recognised as a unique character in the Tanytarsini and a possible homologue of the horn-like tip of the gonostylus known from several extant species of the genus Stempellinella Brundin. A key to determination of all genera and species of the Tanytarsini recorded in the Eocene is presented. Notes on evolutionary trends in the tribe are also provided.  相似文献
