Objectives:The purpose of the present study is to assess the effects of an intense cycling training session on the stability of the lumbopelvic-hip complex through two dynamic exercise tests - the single-leg-deadlift (SLD) and a variation of the bird-modified dog (BD), via the OCTOcore application.Methods:Thirty-one elite female road cyclists were self-evaluated with their own smartphones, before and immediately after finishing their training sessions. Right, left and composite were measured for each exercise test. Results:There was a significant time effect on performance for both the SLB and BD tests (p<0.05; η2=0.137), and the SLD and BD tests were increased with respect to the pre-test at 15% and 17%, respectively. Conclusion:An intense cycling training session produced significant alterations in lumbopelvic behavior in the elite female cyclists. The OCTOcore application demonstrated that it was a sensitive tool in detecting these changes and it could easily be used by the cyclists themselves.  相似文献

Despite its growing popularity, few studies have investigated specific physiological demands for elite female futsal. The aim of this study was to determine aerobic fitness in elite female futsal players using laboratory and field testing. Fourteen female futsal players from the Venezuelan National team (age =21.2±4.0 years; body mass =58.6±5.6 kg; height =161±5.0 cm) performed a progressive maximal treadmill test under laboratory conditions. Players also performed a progressive intermittent futsal-specific field test for endurance, the Futsal Intermittent Endurance Test (FIET), until volitional fatigue. Outcome variables were exercise heart rate (HR), VO2, post-exercise blood lactate concentrations ([La]b) and running speeds (km · h-1). During the treadmill test, VO2max, maximal aerobic speed (MAS), HR and peak [La]b were 45.3±5.6 ml · kg-1 · min-1, 12.5±1.77 km · h-1, 197±8 beats · min-1 and 11.3±1.4 mmol · l-1, respectively. The FIET total distance, peak running velocity, peak HR and [La]b were 1125.0±121.0 m, 15.2±0.5 km · h-1, 199±8 beats · min-1 and 12.5±2.2 mmol · l-1, respectively. The FIET distance and peak speed were strongly associated (r= 0.85-87, p < 0.0001) with VO2max and MAS, respectively. Peak HR and [La]b were not significantly different between tests. Elite female futsal players possess moderate aerobic fitness. Furthermore, the FIET can be considered as a valid field test to determine aerobic fitness in elite level female futsal players.  相似文献

We investigated which attribute or what combination of attributes would best account for distance running performance of female runners. The subjects were 30 well-trained female distance runners, aged 19 to 23 years. Anthropometric and body composition characteristics, pulmonary function characteristics, blood properties, and cardiorespiratory function characteristics were measured at rest or during submaximal and maximal exercise. Analyses of the data showed that the relationship of oxygen uptake corresponding to lactate threshold (VO2T, ml.kg-1.min-1) with each distance running performance was substantially higher as compared with the relationship of other independent variables including maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max). Furthermore, multiple regression analysis indicated that running performances in 3,000m, 5,000m, and 10,000m are best accounted for by a combination of VO2/LT (X1), fat-free weight (X2), and/or mean corpuscular volume (X3). A multiple regression equation for predicting the 5,000m (Y, s) running performance was formulated as Y = -14.75X1-3. 03X2-5.79X3 + 2282.1. We suggest that VO2max would not stand alone as a decisive factor of distance running success in female runners, and that the distance running performance could be better accounted for by a combination of several attributes relating to lactate threshold, body composition, and/or hematological status. The linear regression of the predicted running performance on the actually measured running performance can be accepted in the range of 986-1197s.  相似文献

Selected biochemical and physiological properties of skeletal muscle were studied in light of performance capabilities in 24 elite female track athletes. The feasibility of quantifying end point histochemistry and relating oxidative staining density (reduced nicotinomide adenine dinucleotide diaphorase: NADH-D) to whole body maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 max) was also investigated, while muscle fiber types, classified according to alkaline APTase stains, were studied and related to muscle oxidative capacity (succinate dehydrogenase: SDH), VO2 max and "in vivo" torque-velocity properties. Muscle biopsies were taken from the vastus lateralis of each subject and maximal knee extensor torques were recorded at 30 degrees from full extension at four selected velocities. While results confirm earlier reports on skeletal muscle properties and performance it was concluded that end point histochemistry could be reliably quantified and that an "oxidative" stain such as NADH-D correlates extremely well with VO2 max (r = 0.86, p less than 0.001) whereas correlations between % slow twitch fibres (Alkaline ATPase stain) and VO2 max were lower (r = 0.44, p less than 0.05). Additionally, as knee extension velocity increased from 0-1.7 rad x s-1 angle specific extensor torque production did not decline as observed in vitro and pentathletes displayed significantly larger torques at all velocities when compared to the other athletes. These data confirm that while myofibrillar ATPase staining correlates with force-velocity properties of muscle, VO2 max is better correlated with quantified oxidative staining.  相似文献

We sought to study the physical demands and match performance of women soccer players. Nineteen top-class and 15 high-level players were individually videotaped in competitive matches, and time-motion analysis were performed. The players changed locomotor activity >1,300 times in a game corresponding to every ~4 seconds and covered 9-11 km in total. The top-class players ran 28% longer (P < 0.05) at high intensities than high-level players (1.68 +/- 0.09 and 1.33 +/- 0.10 km, respectively) and sprinted 24% longer (P < 0.05). The top-class group had a decrease (P < 0.05) of 25-57% in high intensity running in the final 15 minutes compared with the first four 15-minutes intervals, whereas the high-level group performed less (P < 0.05) high-intensity running in the last 15 minutes of each half in comparison with the 2 previous 15-minute periods in the respective half. Peak distance covered by high intensity running in a 5-minute interval was 33% longer (P < 0.05) for the top-class players than the high-level players. In the following 5 minutes immediately after the peak interval top-class players covered 17% less (P < 0.05) high-intensity running than the game average. Defenders performed fewer (P < 0.05) intervals of high-intensity running than midfielders and attackers, as well as fewer (P < 0.05) sprints than the attackers. In conclusion, for women soccer players (1) top-class international players perform more intervals of high-intensity running than elite players at a lower level, (2) fatigue develops temporarily during and towards the end of a game, and (3) defenders have lower work rates than midfielders and attackers. The difference in high-intensity running between the 2 levels demonstrates the importance of intense intermittent exercise for match performance in women soccer. Thus, these aspects should be trained intensively in women soccer.  相似文献

In order to identify biomotor structures in elite female handball players, factor structures of morphological characteristics and basic motor abilities, and of variables evaluating situation motor abilities of elite female handball players (n = 53) were determined first, followed by determination of differences and relations of the morphological, motor and specific motor space according to handball performance. Factor analysis of 16 morphological measures produced three morphological factors, i.e. factor of absolute voluminosity, i.e. mesoendomorphy, factor of longitudinal skeleton dimensionality, and factor of transverse hand dimensionality. Factor analysis of 15 motor variables yielded five basic motor dimensions, i.e. factor of agility, factor of throwing explosive strength, factor of running explosive strength (sprint), factor of jumping explosive strength and factor of movement frequency rate. Factor analysis of 5 situation motor variables produced two dimensions: factor of specific agility with explosiveness and factor of specific precision with ball manipulation. Analysis of variance yielded greatest differences relative to handball performance in the factor of specific agility and throwing strength, and the factor of basic motoricity that integrates the ability of coordination (agility) with upper extremity throwing explosiveness and lower extremity sprint (30-m sprint) and jumping (standing triple jump). Considering morphological factors, the factor of voluminosity, i.e. mesoendomorphy, which is defined by muscle mass rather than adipose tissue, was found to contribute significantly to the players'performance. Results of regression analysis indicated the handball performance to be predominantly determined by the general specific motor factor based on specific agility and explosiveness, and by the morphological factor based on body mass and volume, i.e. muscle mass. Concerning basic motor abilities, the factor of movement frequency rate, which is associated with the ability of ball manipulation, was observed to predict significantly the handball players' performance.  相似文献

Gastric emptying is increased during running (50%-70% maximal aerobic uptake, VO2max) as compared to rest. Whether this increase varies as a function of mode (i.e. walking vs running) and intensity of treadmill exercise is unknown. To examine the gastric emptying characteristics of water during treadmill exercise performed over a wide range of intensities relative to resting conditions, 10 men ingested 400 ml of water prior to each of six 15 min exercise bouts or 15 min of seated rest. Three bouts of walking exercise (1.57 m.s-1) were performed at increasing grades eliciting approximately 28%, 41% or 56% of VO2max. On a separate day, three bouts of running (2.68 ms-1) exercise were performed at grades eliciting approximately 57%, 65% or 75% of VO2max. Gastric emptying was increased during treadmill exercise at all intensities excluding 75% VO2max as compared to rest. Gastric emptying was similar for all intensities during walking and at 57% and 65% VO2max during running. However, running at 74% VO2max decreased the volume of original drink emptied as compared to all lower exercise intensities. Stomach secretions were markedly less during running as compared to walking and rest. These data demonstrate that gastric emptying is similarly increased during both moderate intensity (approximately 28%-65% VO2max) walking or running exercise as compared to resting conditions. However, gastric emptying decreases during high intensity exercise. Increases in gastric emptying during moderate intensity treadmill exercise may be related to increases in intragastric pressure brought about by contractile activity of the abdominal muscles.  相似文献

This study examined the salivary hormone and immune responses of elite female athletes to 3 different resistance exercise schemes. Fourteen female basketball players each performed an endurance scheme (ES-4 sets of 12 reps, 60% of 1 repetition maximum (1RM) load, 1-minute rest periods), a strength-hypertrophy scheme (SHS-1 set of 5RM, 1 set of 4RM, 1 set of 3RM, 1 set of 2RM, and 1set of 1RM with 3-minute rest periods, followed by 3 sets of 10RM with 2-minute rest periods) and a power scheme (PS-3 sets of 10 reps, 50% 1RM load, 3-minute rest periods) using the same exercises (bench press, squat, and biceps curl). Saliva samples were collected at 07:30 hours, pre-exercise (Pre) at 09:30 hours, postexercise (Post), and at 17:30 hours. Matching samples were also taken on a nonexercising control day. The samples were analyzed for testosterone, cortisol (C), and immunoglobulin A concentrations. The total volume of load lifted differed among the 3 schemes (SHS > ES > PS, p < 0.05). Postexercise C concentrations increased after all schemes, compared to control values (p < 0.05). In the SHS, the postexercise C response was also greater than pre-exercise data (p < 0.05). The current findings confirm that high-volume resistance exercise schemes can stimulate greater C secretion because of higher metabolic demand. In terms of practical applications, acute changes in C may be used to evaluate the metabolic demands of different resistance exercise schemes, or as a tool for monitoring training strain.  相似文献

The effect of hypoxia on the response to interval exercise was determined in eight elite female cyclists during two interval sessions: a sustained 3 x 10-min endurance set (5-min recovery) and a repeat sprint session comprising three sets of 6 x 15-s sprints (work-to-relief ratios were 1:3, 1:2, and 1:1 for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sets, respectively, with 3 min between each set). During exercise, cyclists selected their maximum power output and breathed either atmospheric air (normoxia, 20.93% O(2)) or a hypoxic gas mix (hypoxia, 17.42% O(2)). Power output was lower in hypoxia vs. normoxia throughout the endurance set (244+/-18 vs. 226+/-17, 234+/-18 vs. 221+/-25, and 235+/-18 vs. 221+/-25 W for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd sets, respectively; P< 0.05) but was lower only in the latter stages of the second and third sets of the sprints (452+/-56 vs. 429+/-49 and 403+/-54 vs. 373+/- 43 W, respectively; P<0.05). Hypoxia lowered blood O(2) saturation during the endurance set (92.9+/-2.9 vs. 95.4+/-1.5%; P<0.05) but not during repeat sprints. We conclude that, when elite cyclists select their maximum exercise intensity, both sustained (10 min) and short-term (15 s) power are impaired during hypoxia, which simulated moderate ( approximately 2,100 m) altitude.  相似文献

The aim of this research was to determine whether creatine supplementation at a dose of 20 g · day−1, given in 4 × 6-g doses (5 g creatine monohydrate and 1 g glucose) for 5 days, was effective in improving kayak ergometer performances of different durations. Sixteen male subjects with the following characteristics [mean (SEM)]: age 21 (1.2) years, height 170.2 (1.7) cm, weight 75.3 (2.3) kg, Σ8 skinfolds 59.3 (2.6) mm, and maximal oxygen consumption 67.1 ± (4.3) ml · kg · min−1, undertook three maximal kayak ergometer tests of 90, 150 and 300 s duration on a wind-braked kayak ergometer (CON). Two groups were then randomly formed, with one group taking the supplement (SUP) while the other took a placebo (PLAC). No pre-test differences existed between the SUP and the PLAC groups in any of the variables measured. After supplementation each group then repeated the same kayak ergometer tests as performed previously and after a 4-week “washout period” the groups took either the PLAC or SUP for another 5 days and then completed the final tests. The SUP group completed significantly more work than either the CON or PLAC groups in all of the tests (90 s, P < 0.01; 150 s, P < 0.001; 300 s, P < 0.05). Body mass remained stable throughout the test period in both the CON and PLAC groups, but both were significantly less than the SUP body mass of 77.3 (1.0) kg (P < 0.01). The results of this work indicate that creatine supplementation can significantly increase the amount of work accomplished during kayak ergometer performance at durations ranging from 90 to 300 s. Stretching can lead to decreased muscle stiffness and has been associated with decreased force and power production. The purpose of this study was to investigate the acute effects of static stretching (SS) on running economy and endurance performance in trained female distance runners. Twelve long distance female (30 ± 9 years) runners were assessed for height (159.4 ± 7.4 cm), weight (54.8 ± 7.2 kg), % body fat (19.7 ± 2.8%), and maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max: 48.4 ± 5.1 ml·kg(-1)·min(-1)). Participants performed 2 sessions of 60-minute treadmill runs following a randomly assigned SS protocol or quiet sitting (QS). During the first 30 minutes (running economy), expired gases, heart rate (HR), and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) were recorded while the participant ran at 65% VO2max. During the final 30 minutes (endurance performance), distance covered, speed, HR, and RPE were recorded while the participant attempted to cover as much distance as possible. Repeated measures analyses of variance were performed on the data. Significance was accepted at p < 0.05. The SS measured by sit-and-reach increased flexibility (SS: 29.8 ± 8.3 vs. QS: 33.1 ± 8.1 cm) but had no effect on running economy (VO2: 33.7 ± 3.2 vs. 33.8 ± 2.3 ml·kg(-1)·min(-1)), calorie expenditure (270 ± 41 vs. 270 ± 41 kcal), HR (157 ± 10 vs. 160 ± 12 b·min(-1)), or endurance performance (5.5 ± 0.6 vs. 5.5 ± 0.7 km). These findings indicated that stretching did not have an adverse effect on endurance performance in trained women. This suggests that the performance decrements previously associated with stretching may not occur in trained women.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate the seasonal behaviour of the plasma free testosterone: cortisol ratio (FTCR) and to relate hormonal changes to daily training volume and performance parameters on a rowing ergometer in elite female rowers. During 9 months of training preceding the 1988 Olympic Games the resting values of the FTCR in six elite female rowers were regularly (ten times) studied. Daily training volume was analysed in terms of rowed distance (l rowad) and time (t). In addition, two performance parameters, the power at 4.0 mmol·l–1 lactate concentration in the blood and the maximal power, were determined by a test on a rowing ergometer. The results indicated that the mean FTCR test value did not differ significantly from the level of the initial test or from the mean value of the directly preceding test. A significant negative correlation (r=–0.98, P<0.01) between FTCR and l rowed was found in a period i.e. at a training camp, when there was a sudden increase in training volume. When FTCR was related to t a significant positive correlation (r=0.88, P<0.05) was found only for the period at the training camp. Our data further suggested that the FTCR alone was not an adequate indicator for the anabolic/catabolic balance in elite female rowers. This finding was contrary to previous findings in elite male rowers. However, in training practice the FTCR seems useful as an indicator of the hormonal training status of elite female rowers when complemented with data about total and free testosterone, performance parameters and knowledge concerning cyclic variations of the FTCR.Both departments co-operate in the working group Janus Jongbloed Research Centre, Utrecht, The Netherlands  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of dehydration at a controlled relative intensity on physiological responses and trail running speed. Using a randomized, controlled crossover design in a field setting, 14 male and female competitive, endurance runners aged 30 ± 10.4 years completed 2 (hydrated [HY] and dehydrated [DHY]) submaximal trail runs in a warm environment. For each trial, the subjects ran 3 laps (4 km per lap) on trails with 4-minute rests between laps. The DHY were fluid restricted 22 hours before the trial and during the run. The HY arrived euhydrated and were given water during rest breaks. The subjects ran at a moderate pace matched between trials by providing pacing feedback via heart rate (HR) throughout the second trial. Gastrointestinal temperature (T(GI)), HR, running time, and ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) were monitored. Percent body mass (BM) losses were significantly greater for DHY pretrial (-1.65 ± 1.34%) than for HY (-0.03 ± 1.28%; p < 0.001). Posttrial, DHY BM losses (-3.64 ± 1.33%) were higher than those for HY (-1.38 ± 1.43%; p < 0.001). A significant main effect of T(GI) (p = 0.009) was found with DHY having higher T(GI) postrun (DHY: 39.09 ± 0.45°C, HY: 38.71 ± 0.45°C; p = 0.030), 10 minutes post (DHY: 38.85 ± 0.48°C, HY: 38.46 ± 0.46°C; p = 0.009) and 30 minutes post (DHY: 38.18 ± 0.41°C, HY: 37.60 ± 0.25°C; p = 0.000). The DHY had slower run times after lap 2 (p = 0.019) and lap 3 (p = 0.025). The DHY subjects completed the 12-km run 99 seconds slower than the HY (p = 0.027) subjects did. The RPE in DHY was slightly higher than that in HY immediately postrun (p = 0.055). Controlling relative intensity in hypohydrated runners resulted in slower run times, greater perceived effort, and elevated T(GI), which is clinically meaningful for athletes using HR as a gauge for exercise effort and performance.  相似文献

The influence of four isolated periods of dietary manipulation upon high intensity exercise capacity was investigated in six healthy male subjects. Subjects consumed their 'normal' (N) diet (45 +/- 2% carbohydrate (CHO), 41 +/- 3% fat, 14 +/- 3% protein) for four days after which they exercised to voluntary exhaustion at a workload equivalent to 100% VO2max. Three further four-day periods of dietary manipulation took place; these were assigned in a randomised manner and each was followed by a high intensity exercise test. The dietary treatments were: a low CHO (3 +/- 1%), high fat (71 +/- 5%), high protein (26 +/- 3%) diet (HFHP); a high CHO (73 +/- 2%), low fat (12 +/- 2%), normal protein (15 +/- 1%) diet (HCLF); and a normal CHO (47 +/- 3%), low fat (27 +/- 2%), high protein (26 +/- 2%) diet (LFHP). Acid-base status and blood lactate concentration were measured on arterialised-venous blood at rest prior to dietary manipulation on each day of the different diets, immediately prior to exercise and at 2, 4, 6, 10 and 15 min post-exercise. Other metabolite concentrations were measured in the blood samples obtained prior to dietary manipulation and immediately prior to exercise. Exercise time to exhaustion after the HFHP diet (179 +/- 63 s) was shorter when compared with the N (210 +/- 65 s; p less than 0.01) and HCLF (219 +/- 69 s; p less than 0.05) diets.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

Relationship between the intensity of running exercise on a treadmill and the changes in the concentrations of beta-endorphin + beta-lipotropin (beta-E + beta-LPH) and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) in plasma were studied in 10 experienced male endurance athletes. At random order, the subjects run on a treadmill six exercises which required on an average (mean +/- S.E.) 50 +/- 0.8%, 58 +/- 0.8%, 69 +/- 1.1%, 80 +/- 0.7%, 92 +/- 1.0% and 98 +/- 0.5% of their maximal oxygen consumption. Plasma levels of beta-E + beta-LPH and ACTH did not show any significant changes during the 50-80%-tests. During the 92% test, the mean levels (+/- S.E.) of beta-E + beta-LPH and ACTH increased significantly (p less than 0.001), from 3.0 +/- 0.4 to 8.0 +/- 1.2 pmol/l and from 3.1 +/- 0.5 to 8.9 +/- 1.3 pmol/l, respectively, and during the 98% test, from 3.7 +/- 0.6 pmol/l to 20.4 +/- 1.5 pmol/l, and from 3.6 +/- 0.6 to 21.8 +/- 1.5 pmol/l, respectively. Increases in the plasma levels of beta-E + beta-LPH and ACTH were always accompanied by an increase in the blood lactate level. We conclude that intensive running with an anaerobic response causes an increase in the concentrations of beta-endorphin and ACTH in plasma in endurance athletes, whereas slight aerobic exercise did not elicit any response.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the prematch and short-term postmatch biochemical and endocrine responses to the intensity, number, and distribution of impacts associated with collisions during elite Rugby League match play. Seventeen elite male Rugby League players each provided blood and saliva samples 24 hours prematch, 30 minutes prematch, 30 minutes postmatch, and then at 24-hour intervals for a period of 5 days postmatch to determine plasma creatine kinase concentration ([CK]) and salivary cortisol concentration ([sCort]). The intensity, number, and distribution of impact forces experienced by players during match play were recorded using portable global positioning systems (GPSs). The change in the dependent variables at each sample collection time was compared to 24 hours prematch and 30-minute prematch measures. The [CK] and [sCort] increased significantly (p < 0.05) during match play. Significant correlations (p < 0.05) were observed between the number of hit-ups and peak [CK] 24 hours postmatch, 48 hours postmatch, and 72 hours postmatch (p < 0.05). The number of impacts recorded in zone 5 (8.1-10.0G) and zone 6 (>10.1G) during match play was significantly correlated (p < 0.05) to [CK] 30 minutes postmatch, 24 hours post, 48 hours post, and 72 hours postmatch. The GPS was able to provide data on the intensity, number, and distribution of impacts resulting from collisions during match play. Elite Rugby League match play resulted in significant skeletal muscle damage and was highly dependent on the number of heavy collisions >8.1G. [CK] remained elevated 120 hours postmatch identifying that at least 5 days modified activity is required to achieve full recovery after elite Rugby League match play.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The effect of prolonged strenuous exercise (PSE) on left ventricular (LV) systolic function has not been well studied in younger female triathletes. This study examined LV systolic function prior to, during and immediately following PSE (i.e., 40 km bicycle time trial followed by a 10 km run) in 13 younger (29 PlusMinus; 6 years) female triathletes. METHODS: Two-dimensional echocardiographic images were obtained prior to, at 30-minute intervals during and immediately following PSE. Heart rate, systolic blood pressure, end-diastolic and end-systolic cavity areas were measured at each time point. Echocardiographic and hemodynamic measures were also combined to obtain LV end-systolic wall stress and myocardial contractility (i.e., systolic blood pressure - end-systolic cavity area relation). RESULTS: Subjects exercised at an intensity equivalent to 90 PlusMinus; 3% of maximal heart rate. Heart rate, systolic blood pressure, systolic blood pressure - end-systolic cavity area relation and fractional area change increased while end-diastolic and end-systolic cavity areas decreased during exertion. CONCLUSIONS: PSE is associated with enhanced LV systolic function secondary to an increase in myocardial contractility in younger female triathletes.  相似文献

In order to determine the influence of an extensive history of participation in high intensity activity on muscle fiber type, fiber size, and metabolic profile, elite ice hockey players were selected for investigation from three different leagues. Biopsy samples from the vastus lateralis muscle were obtained from different groups of players prior to and following the season and compared with control subjects. No significant differences were found in the percentage (49.6 vs. 43.8%) or the size of the ST fibers between the elite athletes and the control group, nor was there any significant alteration following the season of play in these variables. For the FT fiber subgroups, a reduction in the FTb (12.2 vs. 3.9%) and an increase in FTa (38.0 to 45.2%) fiber populations occurred over the season. Similarly, increases in fiber area were observed for both FT subgroups pre to post season. Of the enzymes studied only 3-hydroxyacyl CoA dehydrogenase was elevated in the post season measures, while total phosphorylase and phosphofructokinase were significantly lower. The metabolic pattern exhibited does not appear to be substantially different from what would be expected from an untrained group of similar fiber distribution.  相似文献

We examined voluntary wheel running and forced treadmill running exercise performance of wild-type mice and mice null for the desmin gene. When given access to a cage wheel, desmin null mice spent less time running and ran less far than wild-type mice. Wild-type mice showed a significant training effect with prolonged voluntary wheel running, as evidenced by an increase in mean running speed across the 3-wk exercise period, whereas desmin null mice did not. Desmin null mice also performed less well in acute treadmill stress and endurance tests compared with wild-type mice. We also evaluated serum creatine kinase (CK) activity in wild-type and desmin null mice in response to running. Voluntary running did not result in elevated CK activity in either wild-type or desmin null mice, whereas downhill treadmill running caused significant increases in serum CK activity in both wild-type and desmin null mice. However, the increase in serum CK was significantly less in desmin null mice than in wild-type mice. These results suggest that the lack of desmin adversely affects the ability of mice to engage in both chronic and acute bouts of endurance running exercise but that this decrement in performance is not associated with an increase in serum CK activity.  相似文献

In order to identify biomotor structures in elite female handball players, factor structures of morphological characteristics and basic motor abilities of elite female handball players (N = 53) were determined first, followed by determination of relations between the morphological-motor space factors obtained and the set of criterion variables evaluating situation motor abilities in handball. Factor analysis of 14 morphological measures produced three morphological factors, i.e. factor of absolute voluminosity (mesoendomorph), factor of longitudinal skeleton dimensionality, and factor of transverse hand dimensionality. Factor analysis of 15 motor variables yielded five basic motor dimensions, i.e. factor of agility, factor of jumping explosive strength, factor of throwing explosive strength, factor of movement frequency rate, and factor of running explosive strength (sprint). Four significant canonic correlations, i.e. linear combinations, explained the correlation between the set of eight latent variables of the morphological and basic motor space and five variables of situation motoricity. First canonic linear combination is based on the positive effect of the factors of agility/coordination on the ability of fast movement without ball. Second linear combination is based on the effect of jumping explosive strength and transverse hand dimensionality on ball manipulation, throw precision, and speed of movement with ball. Third linear combination is based on the running explosive strength determination by the speed of movement with ball, whereas fourth combination is determined by throwing and jumping explosive strength, and agility on ball pass. The results obtained were consistent with the model of selection in female handball proposed (Srhoj et al., 2006), showing the speed of movement without ball and the ability of ball manipulation to be the predominant specific abilities, as indicated by the first and second linear combination.  相似文献
