本文记了分别采自云南高黎贡山的栅蛛科栅蛛属Hahnia 2新种:垭口栅蛛,新种S.yakouensis sp.nov.和肾形栅蛛,新种S.reniformis sp.nov..垭口栅蛛后眼列前曲,交媾腔大,扁圆形,交媾孔1个,位于交媾腔下缘,交媾管粗,呈"人"字形下行分成2支再向两侧扭曲.纳精囊有一肓管斜向上伸出,鉴于上述特征而与Hahnia mridulae Tikader,1970不同.肾形栅蛛交媾孔2个,位于生殖厣腹面中央,纳精囊1对,大,肾形,插入器始于生殖球左下方,鉴于上述特征而与Hahnia xinjiangensis Wang et Liang,1989不同. One and half centuries ago, Charles Darwin (1859) presented overwhelming evidence and argued that all life on the earth shared common descent, and "from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being evolved". Ernst Haeckel (1886) and several of his contemporaries attempted to trace the pattern of descent among all extant and extinct forms in what Darwin referred to as "the great Tree of Life". Ever since then, systematists and evolutionary biologists have been exploring morphological, cytogenetic, chemical, developmental and molecular characters, and actively developing theories and methods to infer phylogenetic relationships among organisms from these characters. This endeavor has been especially stimulated by the rise of molecular biology and the emergence of computer science over the past 50 years. At the beginning of the 21st century, we are presented with an unprecedented opportunity to reconstruct the entire Tree of Life, and further, to study evolutionary processes and mechanisms in the context of a robust phylogenetic framework.  相似文献

高黎贡山北段的东西坡由于在降雨量和热量分配等方面存在着显著的差异,致使东西坡在植物的种类、组成及区系特征等方面表现出明显的差异.东坡记载野生种子植物152科,580属,1475种及192变种(亚种),西坡记载野生种子植物162科,659属,1804种及186变种(亚种).东西坡种子植物科、属、种的对比分析表明:1)东西坡现代种子植物区系具有相同的历史渊源,但其区系联系减弱了,东西坡区系相似性程度,依科、属、种的顺序依次递减;2)西坡现代种子植物区系比东坡具有更为深刻的热带起源烙印.就科、属、种三个水平来说,东坡的热带成分低于西坡,温带成分高于西坡.许多典型的泛热带大科在西坡比东坡有着更为丰富的种类,其中有些泛热带科分子在东坡缺乏分布,而在西坡找到了合适的驻留之地;3)西坡现代种子植物区系与东喜马拉雅植物区系的联系比东坡紧密,而东坡与高黎贡山以东的区系联系比西坡密切,由于高黎贡山山脉的阻隔,近代植物物种的东西坡交流发生了障碍;4)西坡生态地理环境比东坡更有利于物种的生存、繁衍和分化,它既是古老成分的避难所,又是孕育新生成分的摇篮.  相似文献

Sequences of the chloroplast ndhF gene and the nuclear ribosomal ITS regions are employed to reconstruct the phylogeny of Prunus (Rosaceae), and evaluate the classification schemes of this genus. The two data sets are congruent in that the genera Prunus s.l. and Maddenia form a monophyletic group, with Maddenia nested within Prunus. However, the ndhF data set is incongruent with the ITS data supporting two major groups within Prunus one consisting of subgenera Laurocerasus (including Pygeum) and Padus as well as the genus Maddenia and another of subgenera Amygdalus, Cerasus, and Prunus. The ITS data, on the other hand, support a clade composed of subgenera Amygdalus and Prunus and Prunus sect. Microcerasus in addition to a paraphyletic grade of subgenera Laurocerasus and Padus (and the genus Maddenia) taxa. In general, the subgeneric classifications of Prunus s.l. are not supported. The ITS and ndhF phylogenies differ mainly in interspecific relationships and the relative position of the Padus/Laurocerasus group. Both ITS and ndhF data sets suggest that the formerly recognized genus Pygeum is polyphyletic and that the distinction of the subgenera Padus and Laurocerasus is not supported. The biogeographic interactions of the temperate and tropical members in the Padus/Laurocera- sus/Maddenia alliance including Pygeum are shown to be highly dynamic and complex.  相似文献

瞬膜(nictitating membrane),又称第三眼睑,是一种保护眼球、防止灰尘的结构.鸟类的瞬膜位于眼眶的前眼角,为半透明的膜,其内缘具有一种羽毛上皮,借以刷洗角膜上的灰尘.在飞行时能遮覆眼球,以避免干燥气流和灰尘对眼球的伤害.由于瞬膜在鸟类睁眼的一瞬间迅速缩回前眼角,很难拍摄到.最近费了好大的周折,终于拍到了理想的鸡瞬膜照片,现予以发表供生物学界的同行共享(友情提示:如引用请注明原作者).  相似文献

Information regarding the genetic diversity and genetic relationships among elite inbred lines is necessary to improve new cultivars in maize breeding programs. In this study, genetic diversity and genetic relationships were investigated among 84 waxy maize inbred lines using 50 SSR markers. A total of 269 alleles were identified at all the loci with an average of 5.38 and a range between 2 and 13 alleles per locus. The gene diversity values varied from 0.383 to 0.923 with an average of 0.641. The cluster tree generated using the described SSR markers recognized two major groups at 32% genetic similarity. Group I included 33 inbred lines while group II included 51 inbred lines. The clustering patterns of most of the waxy maize inbred lines did not clearly agree with their source, pedigree or geographic location. The average GS among all inbred lines was 35.7 ± 10.8. Analysis of waxy maize inbred lines collected from Korea and China at 50 SSR loci revealed higher values of average number of alleles (4.9) and gene diversity (0.638) in Korean inbred lines as compared to Chinese inbred lines (3.5 and 0.563, respectively). The information obtained from the present studies would be very useful for maize breeding programs in Korea.  相似文献

Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) varies in growth habit from aggressive climbing types to bush beans. Growth habit is determined by a combination of factors including determinate versus indeterminate growth, total plant height, degree of branching and internode length. Together these factors make up climbing ability. The objective of this research was to determine the quantitative trait loci (QTL) controlling climbing ability in a F5:8 recombinant inbred line population derived from an inter-gene pool cross of an aggressive indeterminate climbing bean with type IV growth habit (G2333) by an indeterminate bush bean of type IIb growth habit (G19839). The population was planted in four randomized complete block design experiments across environments that varied in altitude (from 1,000 to 1,750 masl) and soil fertility (low versus high phosphorus). QTL were identified for plant height, internode length and number of branches per plant on a genetic map covering all common bean linkage groups with a total length of 1,175 cM. In addition a scale was developed to evaluate overall climbing ability and was also used to identify QTL. A total of 7 QTL were found for plant height, 9 for climbing ability, 6 for internode length and 1 for branch number. The largest number and most significant QTL were found on the lower half of linkage group B04 suggesting a major pleiotropic locus for growth habit traits at this location of the genome that is distinct from previously characterized genes which control plant morphology of the crop.  相似文献

Soybean plants show diversity in stem-growth habit which ranges from the determinate type to the indeterminate type. Stem growth of determinate plants abruptly terminate near the beginning of flowering. The possible involvement of jasmonic acid (JA) in the control of the stem growth-habit was examined in indeterminate and determinate isolines of soybean [ Glycine max (L.) Merril cv. Harosoy]. JA-like activities in leaves of both isolines were very low 20 days before the commencement of flowering. The activity increased rapidly thereafter and reached a maximum near the time of flowering. Although the activities in leaves of both isolines fluctuated in a similar manner, the activity in the determinate isoline was much higher than that in the indeterminate isoline after flowering. The presence of JA in the leaves of the determinate isoline was confirmed by purification by high-performance liquid chromatography and by mass spectrometry. Exogenous application of JA to cultured shoot apices of the indeterminate isoline strongly inhibited growth. These results suggest that jasmonic acid is a major endogenous factor that controls the growth habit of soybean plants.  相似文献

Soybean genotypes are adapted to narrow bands of latitude due to photoperiod sensitivity. There are several photoperiod-sensitive loci (E1, E2, E3, E4, E5, E6, E7, E8). Determinate and indeterminate growth habits are controlled by a single locus. The objective of our research was to examine the effects of photoperiod sensitivity and growth habit alleles on seed yield and other agronomic characters using isogenic lines. Twenty ‘Harosoy’ isolines with 11 photoperiod-sensitive genotypes many with both indeterminate and determinate growth habits were grown in the field at Ottawa, ON, from 2003 to 2007. Maturity ranged from 97 to 127 days, and seed yield increased linearly with maturity until about 112 days when it plateaued. Determinate lines were always shorter than indeterminate lines of equivalent maturity. Seed yield was associated with plant height, maturity, seed sugar concentration, seed weight and lodging. Effects of alleles at individual loci, and additive and epistatic effects across multiple loci were examined. At a single locus, photoperiod-insensitive alleles produced isolines that matured 8–11 days earlier, yielded less, and had shorter plants with reduced lodging. In multiple loci analyses, additive effects explained most of the variation in agronomic characters since additive models with E1, E3, E4, E7 and Dt1 loci included compared well to additive plus epistatic models and genotype-based models. Variation in photoperiod sensitivity and growth habit alleles results in a range of maturity, with pleiotropic effects on seed yield and agronomic characteristics, and play an important role in providing adaptation across latitudes.  相似文献

Knowledge of genetic diversity (GD) and relationships among maize inbred lines is indispensable in a breeding program. Our objectives were to (1) investigate the level of genetic diversity among maize inbred lines and (2) assess their genetic structures by applying simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. Fifty-six highland and mid-altitude maize inbred lines obtained from CIMMYT programs in Ethiopia and Zimbabwe were genotyped using 27 SSR loci. All of the genotypes studied could unequivocally be distinguished with the combination of the SSRs used. In total, 104 SSR alleles were identified, with a mean of 3.85 alleles per locus. The average polymorphism information content (PIC) was 0.58. GD expressed as Euclidean distance, varied from 0.28 to 0.73 with an average of 0.59. Cluster analysis using unweighted pair group method with arithmetic average (UPGMA) suggested five groups among the inbred lines. Most of the inbred lines adapted to the highlands and the mid-altitudes were positioned in different clusters with a few discrepancies. The pattern of groupings of the inbred lines was mostly consistent with available pedigree information. The variability detected using SSR markers could potentially contribute towards effective utilization of the inbred lines for the exploitation of heterosis and formation of genetically diverse source populations in Ethiopian maize improvement programs.  相似文献

A set of 250 distinct, stable, and uniform backcross-derived inbred lines were developed in sunflower through 5 interspecific cross combinations involving 4 wild diploid annual species (Helianthus argophyllus, H. petiolaris, H. annuus, and H. debilis). The presence of the wild-species genome in these inbred lines was confirmed through higher chromosome associations (tri- and quadrivalents) at diakinesis. Maximum structural rearrangements of chromosomes were observed in lines derived from H. petiolaris. Forty morphologically diverse inbred lines along with 2 controls were subjected to measurements of phenotypic and genetic distance using 118 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers of known map location. A total of 204 alleles were identified and the number of alleles per locus varied between 2 and 5. There were 46 unique alleles and the number of unique alleles was highest in the lines derived from the cross involving H. petiolaris. The polymorphism information content (PIC) values ranged from 0.05 to 0.575. The pair-wise comparison values based on genetic dissimilarity estimates computed using molecular marker data varied between 0.143 and 0.486 among the 42 lines. The results indicate that the sunflower gene pool could benefit from introgression of novel alleles from the latent genetic diversity present in the wild species and particularly through exploitation of the diploid annual H. petiolaris.  相似文献

Copy number variations (CNVs) play important roles in crop domestication. However, there is only very limited information on the involvement of CNVs in soybean domestication. Trailing growth and long shoots are soybean adaptations for natural habitats but cause lodging that hampers yield in cultivation. Previous studies have focused on Dt1/2 affecting the indeterminate/determinate growth habit, whereas the possible role of the gibberellin pathway remained unclear. In the present study, quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping of a recombinant inbred population of 460 lines revealed a trailing-growth-and-shoot-length QTL. A CNV region within this QTL was identified, featuring the apical bud-expressed gibberellin 2-oxidase 8A/B, the copy numbers of which were positively correlated with expression levels and negatively with trailing growth and shoot length, and their effects were demonstrated by transgenic soybean and Arabidopsis thaliana. Based on the fixation index, this CNV region underwent intense selection during the initial domestication process.  相似文献

Two hundred and sixty maize inbred lines, representative of the genetic diversity among essentially all public lines of importance to temperate breeding and many important tropical and subtropical lines, were assayed for polymorphism at 94 microsatellite loci. The 2039 alleles identified served as raw data for estimating genetic structure and diversity. A model-based clustering analysis placed the inbred lines in five clusters that correspond to major breeding groups plus a set of lines showing evidence of mixed origins. A "phylogenetic" tree was constructed to further assess the genetic structure of maize inbreds, showing good agreement with the pedigree information and the cluster analysis. Tropical and subtropical inbreds possess a greater number of alleles and greater gene diversity than their temperate counterparts. The temperate Stiff Stalk lines are on average the most divergent from all other inbred groups. Comparison of diversity in equivalent samples of inbreds and open-pollinated landraces revealed that maize inbreds capture <80% of the alleles in the landraces, suggesting that landraces can provide additional genetic diversity for maize breeding. The contributions of four different segments of the landrace gene pool to each inbred group's gene pool were estimated using a novel likelihood-based model. The estimates are largely consistent with known histories of the inbreds and indicate that tropical highland germplasm is poorly represented in maize inbreds. Core sets of inbreds that capture maximal allelic richness were defined. These or similar core sets can be used for a variety of genetic applications in maize.  相似文献

Summary Yield stability of determinate and indeterminate dry bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cultivars was compared using regression of genotypic performance on environmental means. Yields of 28 dry bean cultivars differing in plant growth habit and commercial class designation were obtained from 42 Michigan performance nurseries over the 6 year period 1980 to 1985. The determinate type I large-seeded kidney and cranberry bean cultivars had below-average seed yield and large mean square deviations from regression. Lower yielding determinate small-seeded navy cultivars had low deviation mean square values, while higher yielding determinate navy cultivars had correspondingly higher mean square deviations from regression. Although seed yield of cultivars with an indeterminate growth habit was greater than determinate cultivars, prostrate type III indeterminate cultivars had deviation mean square values equivalent to those of large-seeded determinate cultivars. The erect, short vine type II indeterminate cultivars (architypes) had greater than average seed yields and minimum deviations from regression. Compared with other plant types, the architype group showed a greater yield response to more productive environments, with regression coefficient values significantly greater than unity. These results indicate that the type II growth habit offers the breeder the best opportunity of obtaining greater seed yield without incurring loss of yield stability as occurs with the type I and type III growth habits. Since the dry bean cultivars utilized in this study represent two distinct centers of domestication, the regression analysis suggests that cultivars from the predominant genetic center demonstrate more yield stability. A non-significant rank correlation coefficient between the combined and separate analyses for deviation mean square values of large-seeded cultivars implies that commercial dry bean classes should be compared separately based on center of domestication.Contributions from Michigan Bean Commission, Michigan Bean Shippers Assoc. and Michigan Agric. We have developed the first molecular marker suitable for the selection of determinate growth habit in faba bean using the candidate gene approach. We obtained the sequences of TFL1/CEN like genes from public databases and designed primers on conserved domains. We used three cultivars with determinate growth habit and four accessions (two cultivars and two lines) with indeterminate growth habit. All these genotypes are used in our faba bean breeding program. A single monomorphic PCR fragment was obtained. A set of restriction enzymes was assayed. The enzyme Hind1II produced a clear polymorphism between determinate and indeterminate genotypes. This new cleaved amplified polymorphism (CAP) marker was tested using an F2 population contrasting for growth habit derived from the cross ‘Verde Bonita’ × 2N52. This marker showed 100% efficiency in discriminating both types of genotypes. Moreover, the codominancy of this marker allows the detection of heterozygous individuals facilitating the breeding process when pyramiding different genes. The perfect cosegregation of the marker with the trait indicates that an orthologue of TFL1/CEN controls the growth habit in faba bean. This marker has been tested in all the genotypes used in our faba bean breeding program as donors of the determinate growth habit. Therefore, it is expected to work well in all the crosses performed with these parental lines as happens in the F2 tested. The CAPS marker developed in this work will be useful for Marker Assisted Selection programs. In addition, this marker is useful for quality control to determinate the percentage of outsider seeds in commercial seed lots. Moreover, it is a valuable tool to breeders when submitting new faba bean varieties for registration since the method allows guaranteeing that outsider plants remains under the requested limit for registration.  相似文献
