A distinct group of triploid, apomicticTaraxacum species, recognized by blackish green, pruinose involucres and ± hamate lateral lobes, is newly described as sectionHamata. Cytological and morphological investigations have shown a distinctive uniformity among these species which supports this classification. Examination of both specimens and literature has shown that Mycetia coriacea (based on Adenosacme coriacea; Rubiaceae) has apically dehiscent dry capsules, quite different from the indehiscent berries of other species of the genus Mycetia. In various characters including the fruits, the species is found to be identical with the newly described species Foonchewia guangdongensis, the only species of the genus Foonchewia and the tribe Foonchewieae. Brickellia nesomii, a new species from northeastern Mexico, is described. It belongs to the subgenus Phanerostylis, which Gray originally placed in Eupatorium; King and Robinson elevated the taxon to generic rank; it is herein kept at the subgeneric level but transferred to Brickellia. Reasons for this transfer are given. Barroetea glutinosa, positioned by King and Robinson in Phanerostylis, is excluded.  相似文献

A recent study of Southeastern species ofStachys points out a problem involving the identity ofS. nuttallii Shuttlew. ex Bentham. Type material ofS. nuttallii is clearly representative of what is commonly known asS. riddellii House.S. riddellii of current authors must now be calledS. nuttallii, S. riddellii becoming a taxonomic synonym. However, no valid names have been uncovered in the literature that can be correctly applied to the species, primarily from the Blue Ridge Mountains, previously known to most botanists as “S. nuttallii.” These plants are described as a new species,Stachys eplingii.  相似文献

Hieracium vierhapperi (Zahn) Szeląg, known so far only from the Alps, was discovered in the Nízke Tatry Mts in Slovakia, as a new species to the Carpathians. Diagnostic characters, illustration and distribution as well as ecology of H. vierhapperi in the Nízke Tatry Mts are given. A key to distinguish H. vierhapperi from the morphologically related species is added. The Carpathian plants are tetraploid (2n = 36) and reproduce apomictically. The origin of H. sect. Cernua R.
