运用组织学方法对瓦氏黄颡鱼和岩原鲤脾脏的显微结构进行了研究.瓦氏黄颡鱼和岩原鲤脾脏被膜薄,仅由一层单层扁平上皮细胞和结缔组织纤维构成,脾小梁明显,红髓和白髓混合,无明显的分界,鞘毛细血管发达;瓦氏黄颡鱼脾小梁细而少,白髓中淋巴细胞密集,在靠近被膜的脾实质边缘区域密集的淋巴细胞形成外形类似淋巴小结的结构,巨噬细胞聚集形成明显的巨噬细胞中心;岩原鲤脾小梁发达,伸入脾实质将脾脏分隔成一个个的小叶,白髓中密集的淋巴细胞较少,未见类似淋巴小结的结构,巨噬细胞分散存在,无明显的巨噬细胞中心.  相似文献

Abstract. The ultrastructural features of the ovary and oogenesis have been described in 6 species of patellid limpets from South Africa. The ovary is a complex organ that is divided radially into numerous compartments or lacunae by plate-like, blind-ended, hollow trabeculae that extend from the outer wall of the ovary to its central lumen. Trabeculae are composed of outer epithelial cells, intermittent smooth muscle bands, and extensive connective tissue. Oocytes arise within the walls of the trabeculae and progressively bulge outward into the ovarian lumen during growth while partially surrounded by squamous follicle cells. During early vitellogenesis, the follicle cells lift from the surface of the underlying oocytes and microvilli appear in the perivitelline space. Follicle cells restrict their contact with the oocytes to digitate foot processes that form desmosomes with the oolamina. When vitellogenesis is initiated, the trabecular epithelial cells hypertrophy and become proteosynthetically active. Yolk synthesis involves the direct incorporation of extraoocytic precursors from the lumen of the trabeculae (hemocoel) into yolk granules via receptor-mediated endocytosis. Lipid droplets arise de novo and Golgi complexes synthesize cortical granules that form a thin band beneath the oolamina. A fibrous jelly coat forms between the vitelline envelope and the overlying follicle cells in all species.  相似文献

Angioarchitectonics of 127 capsules of large joints in superior (brachial, ulnar, radiocarpal) and inferior (coxofemoral, genicular, talocrural) extremities have been studied using a complex of anatomical and histological techniques and morphometry. As demonstrate the investigations, in the fibrous and synovial membranes of the capsules in these joints, there are certain differences in the architectonics and in depth of the blood network arrangement. In accordance with the diameter of these vessels, density and character of distribution in the capsule membranes of the joints, it is possible to distinguish four circulatory networks. They have numerous anastomoses and form a united volumetric network of vessels. Certain general regularities are noted in the structure of the vascular networks of the capsule membrane in the extremity joints, as well as changes of their angioarchitectonics are revealed as adaptations to age morphofunctional changes in the connective tissue formations of the capsules.  相似文献

The characteristics of Myxobolus cuneus n. sp. and its relationship to the host Piaractus mesopotamicus are described based on light and electron microscopy and histological observations. Polysporic plasmodia measuring 20 microm to 2.1 mm in size were found in 63.3 % of the P. mesopotamicus examined. The parasite was found in the gall bladder, urinary bladder, gills, spleen, fins, head surface, liver and heart. Generative cells and disporoblastic pansporoblasts occurred along the periphery of the plasmodia, and mature spores were found in the internal region. The mature spores had a pear shaped body in frontal view, with a total length of 10.0 +/- 0.6 microm and a width of 5.1 +/- 0.3 microm (mean +/- SD). The spore wall was smooth with sutural folds. The polar capsules were elongated, were pear shaped, and equal in size (length 5.7 +/- 03 microm; width 1.7 +/- 0.2 microm), with the anterior ends close to each other. The polar filaments were tightly coiled in 8-9 turns perpendicular to the axis of the capsule. The plasmodia were always found in connective tissue (wall of the arterioles of the gill filaments, serous capsule of the gall bladder, middle layer and subepithelial connective tissue of the urinary bladder, connective tissue between the rays of the fins, subcutaneous tissue of the head surface and fibrous capsule spleen). The parasite caused important damage in the gills, where development occurred in the wall of gill filament arterioles; a mild macrophage infiltrate was also observed. In advanced developmental stages, the plasmodia caused deformation of the arteriole structure, with a reduction and, in some cases, obstruction of the lumen. The parasite was found throughout the period studied and its prevalence was unaffected by host size, season or water properties.  相似文献

Summary Active fibrous septa are a common feature in liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. Their etiology and formation were studied using cultures of tissue fragments or cells included in collagen gels. Liver fragments obtained from patients with cirrhosis or severe schistosomal fibrosis were able to reorganize the gel and to form discrete, interconnecting fibrous septa composed of parallel arrays of collagen, subsequently colonized by migrating connective tissue cells. The same was obtained in cultures of fibrogranulomatous lesions isolated from schistosome-infected mice livers. However, fragments of normal human and murine liver tissue did not show the capacity to form fibrous septa. Septa formation was also obtained in cultures of cell spheroids formed by liver connective tissue cells isolated from human fibrotic or cirrhotic liver tissues, but not with spheroids of normal skin fibroblasts or smooth muscle cells. This experimental model may represent the fibrous septa formation in vivo, depending on the activity of liver connective tissue cells. The ability of tissue fragments or cell spheroids to form septa in collagen gels might reflect the degree of fibrosis present in the liver tissue in vivo. Reticular meshwork of the spleen in rats studied by electron microscopy   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The reticular meshwork of the rat spleen, which consists of both fibrous and cellular reticula, was investigated by transmission electron microscopy. The fibrous reticulum of the splenic pulp is composed of reticular fibers and basement membranes of the sinuses. These reticular fibers and basement membranes are continuous with each other. The reticular fibers are enfolded by reticular cells and are composed of two basic elements: 1) peripheral basal laminae of the reticular cells, and 2) central connective tissue spaces in which microfibrils, collagenous fibrils, elastic fibers, and unmyelinated adrenergic nerve fibers are present. The basement membranes of the sinuses are sandwiched between reticular cells and sinus endothelial cells and are composed of lamina-densalike material, microfibrils, collagenous fibrils, and elastic fibers. The presence of these connective tissue fibrous components indicates that there are connective tissue spaces in these basement membranes. The basement membrane is divided into three parts: the basal lamina of the reticular cell, the connective tissue space, and the basal lamina of the sinus endothelial cell. When the connective tissue space is very small or absent, the two basal laminae may fuse to form a single, thick basement membrane of the splenic sinus wall. The fibrous reticulum having these structures is responsible for support (collagenous fibrils) and rebounding (elastic fibers). The cells of the cellular reticulum--reticular cells and their cytoplasmic processes, which possess abundant contractile microfilaments, dense bodies, hemidesmosomes, basal laminae, and a well-developed, rough-surfaced endoplasmic reticulum, and Golgi complexes, which are characteristic of both fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells--are considered to be myofibroblasts. They may play roles in splenic contraction and in fibrogenesis of the fibrous reticulum. The contractile ability may be influenced by the unmyelinated adrenergic nerve fibers that pass through the reticular fibers. The three-dimensional reticular meshwork of the spleen consists of sustentacular fibrous reticulum and contractile myofibroblastic cellular reticulum. This meshwork not only supports the organ but also contributes to a contractile mechanism in circulation regulation, in collaboration with major contractile elements in the capsulo-trabecular system.  相似文献

The uteri of five mares were removed and endometrial samples were procured from 12 specific locations in the uteri and the samples were processed and duplicate sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) or Masson's trichrome stains. The samples were interpreted in a blind manner by one person, and pathologic changes were classified according to Kenney (1). An assessment of stromal fibrous connective tissue and focal periglandular fibrosis or fibrotic nests was made. There were no significant differences in luminal epithelial cell heights or in the occurrence and severity of stromal fibrous connective tissue, focal periglandular fibrosis, or lymphatic lacunae among locations (P > 0.05). There was an effect of location on the occurrence and severity of inflammation (P < 0.05). If only inflammation was considered in categorization, this would have resulted in changing the category in 9 of 60 samples. There was no increase in tendency for inflammation, fibrosis or lymphatic lacunae to occur in the horns versus the body of the uterus, nor of the dorsal versus the ventral uterus (P > 0.05). There was no effect (P > 0.05) of type of stain on the ability to detect incidence and severity of focal periglandular fibrosis. There was an effect (P < 0.05) of type of stain on the ability to detect the incidence and severity of stromal fibrous connective tissue. The use of the trichrome stain showed slightly increased distribution of stromal fibrous connective tissue.  相似文献

A possible epithelial-mesenchymal interaction in determining epithelial histologic features of human oral mucosa was examined. The study comprised 74 biopsies of normal buccal mucosa and 54 biopsies of normal palatal mucosa. Epithelium was separated from connective tissue by the use of 1 mM ethylenediamine tetraacetate dihydrate. Self-recombined and cross-recombined epithelial and connective tissues and connective tissue sheets alone were transplanted to subcutaneous sites of nude mice. Histologic examination of cross-recombined palatal epithelium/buccal connective tissue transplants showed a change in keratinization pattern but no major change in number of epithelial cell layers as the result of connective tissue influence. Transplanted sheets of connective tissue after growth for 14 days showed that complete separation of biopsies from buccal mucosa had been obtained. However, palatal mucosa had been incompletely separated as evidenced by re-epithelialization of most of the connective tissue transplants. The consequences of the incomplete palatal epithelium-connective tissue separation are discussed.  相似文献

The major cranial vibrissae in the golden hamster can be moved in complex ways that suggest they are served by a finely controlled motor system. Movements are hypothesized to be the products of differential blood flow and pressure regulation in the sinus surrounding each vibrissal follicle, contractions of the striated facial muscles, and elastic rebound in the connective tissues. The vasculature contributes hydrostatic forces that erect the vibrissae slightly and distort their connective tissue bedding, rigidify the vibrissal capsules, thus forming firm bases of attachment for certain facial muscles, and theoretically provide a pressure plate around the follicle, important in lowering the firing thresholds of receptor endings. The facial muscles supply the major forces in erection and protraction of the vibrissae by acting on both the capsules and the connective tissue bedding. The connective tissues are organized into capsular and extracapsular systems that serve to stabilize the vibrissae and return them to initial rest positions. The slight movements of the genal vibrissa are the effects of vascular and connective tissue dynamics, the musculature being uninvolved. Wide angle movements of the supraorbital vibrissae are products of the vasculature and connective tissues, plus contractions of the Mm. orbicularis oculi and frontalis. Mystacial vibrissal movement is quite complex. The vasculature supplies a small degree of capsular erection and mystacial pad distortion, but primarily rigidifies the capsules. The bulk of erection and protraction is produced by the M. nasolabialis profundus (NLP) and the vibrissal capsular muscles (VCM). The NLP distorts the mystacial pad; the VCM tilt the capsules relative to the pad. Retraction is mainly accomplished by elastic rebound in the pad, this being aided in its extreme degrees by the Mm. nasolabialis and maxillolabialis. The Mm. nasolabialis superficialis and buccinator pars orbicularis oris help to spread the vibrissae into a dorsoventral fan and stabilize the mystacial pad during whisking.  相似文献

By means of scanning and transmissive electron microscopy, the construction of the fibrous framework of the human skeletal muscles, fasciae and tendons has been investigated and its morphofunctional analysis has been performed. The fibrous framework of the endomysium is presented as a complexly organized system of anastomosing fibers of the connective tissue, forming a net-like construction. The fibrous structures of the framework are united into a whole construction by connecting fibers and fibrils. Different types of structural interconnection of collagenous fibers with sarcolemma are revealed. The structure of the fibrous framework both in different muscles and within one muscle has certain peculiarities. The main constructive element of the fascial fibrous framework make large anastomosing collagenous fibers, their architectonics is stabilized by connective fibers and fibrils. The construction of the tendinous fibrous framework is characterized by a pronounced anisotropia of the largest collagenous fibers and a developed network of connective structures both on the surface and inside the collagenous fibers. Structural mechanisms, interconnecting muscles and tendons, are demonstrated. Presence of anastomoses between the fibrils in the composition of the collagenous fibers in the fascia and Achilles tendon are stated. Together with the peculiarities existing, the general principle of the structural organization of the fibrous framework of the muscle system is the net-like constructure dependent on presence of anastomoses and elements of the connective system between the fibrous structures. Depending on the organ's function, the construction of the network acquires certain specific morphological forms.  相似文献

In 1994 a previously unreported rust spot shell disease was seen in mud crabs Scylla serrata - Forskal from Port Curtis, central Queensland, Australia. Of 673 crabs surveyed, 21.7% had shell lesions. Of these, 82.9% had rust spot lesions on the carapace. The majority of rust spot-affected crabs (78.8%) were female. Rust spot lesions were predominantly non-perforated (89.4%) and 54.8% were bilaterally symmetrical. There was also a gender difference in the areas of the carapace most commonly affected. The main histological features of the rust spot lesion included: a cavity in the upper endocuticle; indentation of the endocuticle below the cavity; remains of muscle attachment adhesive epithelium within the cavity; fibrous connective tissue between the damaged carapace and the attached muscle; and islands of endocuticle in this fibrous connective tissue. Histopathology of the internal organs failed to find evidence of an infectious or parasitic cause of the rust spot lesions. The cause(s) of the syndrome appear(s) to be non-infectious.  相似文献

The aim of the study was to compare the connective tissue response of Lewis rats to Ti, NiCr and AgPd alloys. It was found that implants were covered by collagen-rich, well vascularized capsules. Titanium was covered by the thinnest capsule (57 ± 20 μm) and AgPd alloy was covered by the thickest capsule (239 ± 50 μm). The PCNA+ cell prevalence in the capsules was lower for titanium than for AgPd and NiCr. Mast cells formed a gradient to a depth of 1200 μm only for titanium implants. Cells with brown to black silver granules in the cytoplasm were observed close to AgPd implants. The results suggest that titanium implants induce a weaker connective tissue response than implants made from NiCr and AgPd alloys.  相似文献

Summary The interaction between adult stratified squamous epithelium and its supporting connective tissue possibly involves both permissive and directive influences. To examine the effect of vitality and specificity of connective tissue on the maintenance of epithelial structure and histo-differentiation, specimens of skin and oral mucosa from various regions of adult mice were separated using either EDTA or trypsin. Prior to transplantation, the epithelium was recombined with either inverted homologous connective tissue or with connective tissue that had been killed either by heating or repeated freeze-thawing. Epithelial sheets were also transplanted onto the graft bed alone or in combination with striated muscle or tendon.Normal patterns of cytodifferentiation were maintained when the epithelium was recombined with inverted or frozen-thawed subepithelial connective tissue but there was a loss of spatial organization on the frozen-thawed connective tissue. In contrast, heat-killed or trypsin-treated frozen-thawed subepithelial connective tissue and non-dermal connective tissue failed to maintain a viable epithelium. These observations suggest that subepithelial connective tissues (dermis, lamina propria) but not deep connective tissues facilitate epithelial proliferation and histodifferentiation.Supported by NIH/NIDR RO1 DEO5190  相似文献

The morphology of the musculature and connective tissues of the arms of Octopus bimaculoides was analyzed with light microscopy. We also studied O. briareus and O. digueti, which possess relatively more elongate and less elongate arms, respectively. The morphology of the arms was found to be remarkably uniform among species. The arms consist of a densely packed three-dimensional arrangement of muscle fibers and connective tissue fibers surrounding a central axial nerve cord. Three primary muscle fiber orientations were observed: 1) transverse muscle fibers oriented in planes perpendicular to the long axis of the arm; 2) longitudinal muscle fibers oriented parallel to the long axis; and 3) oblique muscle fibers arranged in helixes around the arm. The proportion of the arm cross section occupied by each of these muscle fiber groups (relative to the total cross sectional area of the musculature) remains constant along the length of the arm, even though the arm tapers from base to tip. A thin circular muscle layer wraps the arm musculature on the aboral side only. Much of this musculature has its origin and insertion on several robust connective tissue sheets including a layer surrounding the axial nerve cord and crossed-fiber connective tissue sheets located on the oral and the aboral sides of the arm. An additional thin layer of connective tissue wraps the arm musculature laterally and also serves as a site of origin and insertion of some of the muscle fibers. The fibers of the oral and aboral crossed-fiber connective tissue sheets are arranged oblique to the long axis of the arm with the same fiber angle as the oblique muscle layers that originate and insert on the sheets. The oblique muscle layers and the crossed-fiber connective tissue sheets thus form composite right- and left-handed helical fiber arrays. Analysis of arm morphology from the standpoint of biomechanics suggests that the transverse musculature is responsible for elongation of the arms, the longitudinal musculature is responsible for shortening, and the oblique muscle layers and associated connective tissues create torsion. Arm bending may involve unilateral contraction of longitudinal muscle bundles in combination with resistance to arm diameter increase due to contraction of the transverse musculature or passive stiffness of the arm tissues. The arms may also be bent by a combination of decrease in diameter due to contraction of the transverse musculature and maintenance of constant length on one side of the arm by unilateral activity of longitudinal muscle bundles. An increase in flexural stiffness of the arm may be achieved by cocontraction of the transverse and longitudinal muscle. Torsional stiffness may be increased by simultaneous contraction of both the right- and left-handed oblique muscle layers.  相似文献

The ability of the mouse mast cell to phagocytize colloidal thorium dioxide, Thorotrast, was investigated employing the mouse connective tissue air pouch. The connective tissue mast cell of mouse was found to have limited capability to ingest the particulate Thorotrast in comparison to the rat peritoneal mast cell which ingested this material readily. Fibroblasts and macrophages in the connective tissue removed injected Thorotrast very rapidly in contrast to mast cells that demonstrated limited phagocytic capabilities. The tissue mast cell of the mouse, therefore, should not be considered a part of the reticuloendothelial system.  相似文献

Summary The distribution of types I, II, III, V and IX collagens in healing fractures of the rabbit tibia has been demonstrated by immunofluorescent techniques. It has also been shown that the mechanical stability of the healing fracture affects both the distribution and types of the collagens present.The initial fibrous matrix contains types III and V collagens; type I collagen was only located in this matrix if unfixed tissue was used. In mechanically stable fractures, cancellous bone forms over the entire periosteal surface by 5–7 days; type I collagen is laid down within the previous fibrous matrix. The trabeculae are heterogeneous in their collagen content. The cavities contain a matrix of types III and V collagens. Small nodules of cartilage may be present between 7 and 14 days; these contain types II and IX collagens.In mechanically unstable fractures, cancellous bone is initially formed away from the fracture gap. The fibrous tissue over the gap is replaced by cartilage; types II and IX collagens are laid down on the pre-existing fibrous matrix. The cartilage is replaced by endochondral ossification. At the ossification front, type I collagen is found around the chondrocyte lacunae of the spicules of cartilage. The new trabeculae contain a core of cartilage which is surrounded by a bone matrix of types I and V collagens.The fracture gaps are invaded by fibrous tissue, which contain types III and V collagens. Third-instar larvae of the European chafer were challenged orally or by injection with spore suspensions of Bacillus popilliae. The pathogenesis was investigated by histological examination of larvae sacrificed at various exposure times. Spores germinated in the center of hemocytic capsules when injected and probably in the lumen of the anterior intestine when ingested. Following preliminary multiplication inside the basement membrane of the midgut, vegetative cells penetrated and continued to multiply in the hemolymph. Whether larvae were infected by ingestion or injection, the bacilli concentrated in connective tissue sheaths or in close association with hemocytes for sporulation.  相似文献

The freshwater gastropod Melanoides tuberculata broods its young in a pouch located in the anterodorsal region of the head-foot. The wall of the brood pouch is composed of smooth muscle surrounded by connective tissue. The lumen of the brood pouch is incompletely partitioned by trabeculae, formed by extensions or folds in the chamber wall that are composed of smooth muscle, connective tissue, nonciliated squamous epithelial cells, and some storage cells containing lipid and glycogen. The lumen of the chamber also contains a few cells with storage products. The general absence of secretory cells suggests that embryos derive little nutrition from the mother, and therefore embryonic development is probably ovoviviparous. Embryos in various stages of development were found within brood pouches, with later stage embryos varying in size. There was a negative relationship between embryo size and number of embryos in the brood pouch.  相似文献
