The taxonomy and phylogeny of the hydropoid clade (genera Clitocybula s.l., Megacollybia, Leucoinocybe gen. nov., Hydropus, Trogia, Gerronema, Porotheleum and Lignomphalia gen. nov.) in Europe is studied using morphological and molecular approaches; the first three genera in detail including all known European species. Only two European species remain in Clitocybula s.str., Clitocybula lacerata and Clitocybula familia. The European C. lacerata is a species complex which should be treated as C. lacerata agg. at the current state of knowledge. A neotype originating from type area was designated to fix the application of the name. The presence of American species Clitocybula abundans in Europe is insufficiently proved. “Clitocybula dryadicola ? belongs to the genus Hydropus, and Clitocybula tilieti has an unclear systematic position. The results showed that Megacollybia and Leucoinocybe represent independent genera separated from Clitocybula. The genus Leucoinocybe is validly published with two European species, Leucoinocybe lenta and Leucoinocybe taniae. “Clitocybula flavoaurantia” proved to be conspecific with the latter species. The genus Lignomphalia is published for “Pseudoomphalina lignicola”, a lignicolous omphalinoid species. The Indian “Clitocybula sulcata” is transferred to Leucoinocybe and “Clitocybula atrialba” to Gerronema. The first European records of Megacollybia marginata are published.  相似文献

Abstract:A phylogenetic hypothesis based on nuclear ITS sequence data is presented for the familyPhysciaceae , based on various representatives of foliose and fruticose groups and a number of species selected from the crustose genera Rinodina and Buellia s.l. The analysis supports the monophyly of the Physcia - and theBuellia -groups. This is in agreement with existing morphological evidence, particularly ascus characters. ThePhyscia group in the analysis includes the genera Anaptychia, Heterodermia, Hyperphyscia,Mobergia , Phaeophyscia, Phaeorrhiza, Physcia, Physconia, Rinodina, andRinodinella , while the Buellia group includes Amandinea, Buellia and Diploicia. The genera Physcia, Phaeophyscia, Phaeorrhiza and Rinodinella were well supported as monophyletic groups. The support for Physconia is low. Rinodina and Buellia are not supported as monophyletic genera. In agreement with ascus and ascospore characters, Buellia lindingeri is placed within the Rinodina group, close to R. lecanorina. The genus Amandinea as currently circumscribed was not supported as a monophyletic group. The analysis confirms results from other lichen families that foliose members have evolved more than once from crustose lichens.Rinodina and Rinodinella species without chemical compounds in their thalli form the sister group toPhaeophyscia , and both groups form a monophyletic assemblage. A more detailed analysis of the Physcia group is presented. Whilst several of the foliose genera were well supported, there is only poor support for traditionally accepted crustose genera. The taxonomic implications of these findings are discussed.  相似文献

The araC gene of Citrobacter freundii was cloned into plasmid pBR322 and expressed in Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium. The nucleotide sequence and the predicted translational product were determined and compared to those of E. coli, S. typhimurium and Erwinia carotovora. The predicted translational product is 281 amino acids (aa) long, identical in size to that of S. typhimurium, and is 11 and 29 aa shorter than that of E. coli and E. carotovora, respectively. The nucleotide sequence of the araC gene of C. freundii is 83% homologous to the araC genes of both E. coli and S. typhimurium, but only 60% homologous to that of E. carotovora with respect to the regions they share. The predicted amino acid sequence is highly conserved and shows 96% and 94% homology to S. typhimurium and E. coli, respectively. E. carotovora shows only a 58% aa homology. The activator and autoregulatory activities of each plasmid encoded AraC protein in a S. typhimurium araC::lacZ protein fusion strain were examined.  相似文献

The results of long-term studies of mosquitoes in Belgorod Province are reported. The material was collected at 54 sites situated in 15 districts of the province. Different biotopes were investigated during the spring-autumn period. Larvae and adult mosquitoes were used for identification. A total of 27 mosquito species were found in the region examined. The following species were recorded for the first time: Ae. (Och.) communis. Ae. (Och.) diantaeus. Ae. (Och.) pulchritarsis. Ae. (Och.) sticticus, and Cx. (Bar.) modestus; and also the form Cx. (Cux.) pipiens pipiens biotype molestus. The frequency of occurrence of each species in different biotopes and different localities is given. The most widespread and common species in Belgorod Province include Ae. (Och.) cantans (Mg.), Ae. (Och.) cataphylla Dyar, Ae. (Fin.) geniculatus (Ol.), Ae. (Adm.) vexans (Mg.), Cx. (Cux.) pipiens, and Cx. (Cux.) pipiens pipiens biotype molestus.  相似文献

The South American sharpshooter genus Subrasaca comprises 14 species. Some species of this genus are quite common in the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest. In this paper, a phylogenetic analysis of Subrasaca, based on a matrix of 20 terminal taxa and 72 morphological characters of the head, thorax, and male and female genitalia, is presented. The analysis yielded six equally most parsimonious trees (197 steps, CI = 0.6091, RI = 0.5722, and RC = 0.3486). The results suggest that Subrasaca is a monophyletic taxon, although the genus branch is not robust. The clade showing the highest bootstrap and Bremer scores is formed by species with longitudinal dark brown to black stripes on the forewings (Subrasaca bimaculata, Subrasaca constricta, Subrasaca curvovittata, and Subrasaca flavolineata), followed by Subrasaca atronasa + Subrasaca austera.  相似文献

The geographic distribution of the genus Lophoproctus Pocock, 1894 has greatly expanded with new records of the species Lophoproctus coecus Pocock, 1894, together with the reassignment of a number of millipedes formerly identified as Lophoproctus lucidus (Chalande, 1888). Lophoproctus coecus was found to be the sole representative of the family Lophoproctidae in collections examined from Crimea and the Caucasian region. The species was also identified from Iran and Kyrgyzstan. Lophoproctus specimens collected in Italy by Verhoeff were reassigned as Lophoproctus coecus with the exception of one specimen of Lophoproctus jeanneli (Brölemann, 1910) from Capri. These data were combined with all available information from the literature to look at the pattern of distribution of the four species in the genus. The range of the genus Lophoproctus extends from Portugal to Central Asia. Lophoproctus coecus is widespread from Italy eastward, while the morphologically very similar species Lophoproctus lucidus is confined to France and northern Africa. The two species have a narrow overlap in the Alpes Maritimes region of France. Lophoproctus jeanneli has a scattered coastal distribution around the Mediterranean Sea. The troglobitic species Lophoproctus pagesi (Condé, 1982) has only been recorded from a cave on Majorca, Spain.  相似文献

The trans-dihydrodiols produced during the metabolism of phenanthrene by Cunninghamella elegans, Syncephalastrum racemosum, and Phanerochaete chrysosporium were purified by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The enantiomeric compositions and optical purities of the trans-dihydrodiols were determined to compare interspecific differences in the regio- and stereoselectivity of the fungal enzymes. Circular dichroism spectra of the trans-dihydrodiols were obtained, and the enantiomeric composition of each preparation was analyzed by HPLC with a chiral stationary-phase column. The phenanthrene trans-1,2-dihydrodiol produced by C. elegans was a mixture of the 1R,2R and 1S,2S enantiomers in variable proportions. The phenanthrene trans-3,4-dihydrodiol produced by P. chrysosporium was the optically pure 3R,4R enantiomer, but that produced by S. racemosum was a 68:32 mixture of the 3R,4R and 3S,4S enantiomers. The phenanthrene trans-9,10-dihydrodiol produced by P. chrysosporium was predominantly the 9S,10S enantiomer, but those produced by C. elegans and S. racemosum were predominantly the 9R,10R enantiomer. The results indicate that although different fungi may exhibit similar regioselectivity, there still may be differences in stereoselectivity that depend on the species and the cultural conditions.  相似文献

The family Eucharitidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) is recorded for the first time for the fauna of Saudi Arabia based on Hydrorhoa caffra (Westwood) and Eucharis (Psilogastrellus) affinis Bouček. The record of Hydrorhoa caffra suggests that Al-Baha and Asir provinces should be considered as part of the Afrotropical rather than the Palaearctic region. The previously unknown male of Eucharis affinis Bouček is described and figured. Macrophotographs of the species are provided.  相似文献

The type material of Epeorella borneonia Ulmer, 1939, the sole species of the genus Epeorella Ulmer, 1939 is reinvestigated and a lectotype (male imago) is designated. Based on several morphological structures, the synonymy with Epeorus Eaton, 1881 (Rhithrogeninae) is rejected. Epeorella stat. prop., known only at the winged stages, belongs to the subfamily Ecdyonurinae, and is a probable endemic of the island of Borneo. The newly erected genus Darthus Webb & McCafferty, 2007, also endemic to Borneo and only known by one species at the nymphal stage, is shown to be a junior subjective synonym of Epeorella. The new combination Epeorella vadora (Webb & McCafferty, 2007) is proposed for the species. The distribution of known heptageniid species from the Sunda Islands is discussed.  相似文献

Calymmochilus dispar Bouček & Andriescu (Hymenoptera, Eupelmidae) and Gelis apterus (Pontoppidan) (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) are newly recorded as parasitoids of the ant-eating spider Zodarion styliferum (Simon) (Araneae, Zodariidae). The larvae of both parasitoid species fed on juvenile spiders. The final instar larva and pupa of Calymmochilus dispar and the male of Gelis apterus are described for the first time. Both species represent new distribution records for Portugal. The biology and host associations of the parasitoids are discussed.  相似文献

The expected rate of allelism, E[I(x)], of lethal genes between two colonies with distance x in a structured population is studied by using one- and two-dimensional stepping-stone models. It is shown that E[I(x)] depends on the magnitude of selection in heterozygous condition (h), the rate of migration among adjacent colonies (m), the number of loci which produce lethal mutations (n) and the effective population size of each colony (N).——E[I(x)] always decreases with distance x. The rate of decrease is affected strongly by the magnitude of m. The rate of decrease is faster when m is small. E[I(x)] also decreases with increasing N and n. The effect of h on E[I(x)] is somewhat complicated. However, E[I(0)] is always smaller when h is small than when it is large.——For large x, the following approximate formulae may be obtained: (see PDF) where q and Var (q) are the mean and the variance of gene frequencies in each colony, t is approximated as t=h, (see PDF), -h for the partially recessive, completely recessive, and overdominant lethals, respectively, and C0 is a function of m and t. It is clear that E[I(x)] declines exponentially with x in a one-dimensional habitat. The decrease E[I(x)] is faster in a two-dimensional habitat than in a one-dimensional habitat. Five putative novel Pseudomonas species shown to be pathogenic to citrus have been characterized in a screening of 126 Pseudomonas strains isolated from diseased citrus leaves and stems in northern Iran. The 126 strains were studied using a polyphasic approach that included phenotypic characterizations and phylogenetic multilocus sequence analysis. The pathogenicity of these strains against 3 cultivars of citrus is demonstrated in greenhouse and field studies. The strains were initially grouped phenotypically and by their partial rpoD gene sequences into 11 coherent groups in the Pseudomonas fluorescens phylogenetic lineage. Fifty-three strains that are representatives of the 11 groups were selected and analyzed by partial sequencing of their 16S rRNA and gyrB genes. The individual and concatenated partial sequences of the three genes were used to construct the corresponding phylogenetic trees. The majority of the strains were identified at the species level: P. lurida (5 strains), P. monteilii (2 strains), P. moraviensis (1 strain), P. orientalis (16 strains), P. simiae (7 strains), P. syringae (46 strains, distributed phylogenetically in at least 5 pathovars), and P. viridiflava (2 strains). This is the first report of pathogenicity on citrus of P. orientalis, P. simiae, P. lurida, P. moraviensis and P. monteilii strains. The remaining 47 strains that could not be identified at the species level are considered representatives of at least 5 putative novel Pseudomonas species that are not yet described.  相似文献

Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides, H. maritima and Centella asiatica were investigated for their ter- penoid constituents. The major component of H. sibthorpioides and H. maritima is trans- β-farnesene. The latter species also elaborates α-terpinene and thymol methyl ether in respectable amount. The sesquiterpenoid constitution of C. asiatica is rather similar to H. maritima. Possible allelopathy between H. sibthorpioides and a liverwort is suggested.  相似文献

A phylogenetic analysis based on a comparison of nucleotide sequences of six regions (petN-psbM, trnD-trnT, trnC-petN, psaA-ycf3, petG-trnP, and rpoB-trnC) of cpDNA and ITS rDNA allowed for elucidating the relationship among species and sections belonging to the Salix subgenus and, more generally, to the Salix genus, as well as revealing the relations of the Chosenia genus. The definition of the subgenera Pleuradenia (including the Urbanianae section and the Chosenia genus), Salix (without the Triandrae section), Triandrae, and Longifoliae is essentially consistent with current classification schemes of the Salix genus. The previously defined genera of Chosenia and Toisusu (Urbanianae) are not only merged with the Salix genus but are also closely related between themselves. The Protitea subgenus only corresponds to the American species of the Humboldtianae section (S. humboldtiana, S. amygdaloides, S. gooddingii). The relationship of S. chaenomeloides, which is a nomenclatural type of this subgenus, as well as the relationship of the Wilsonia section, remains unresolved. The Humboldtianae section should be interpreted more narrowly, apparently, separating Acmophyllae and Tetraspermae sections from it. The monotypic American Floridanae section is related to the Salix, Salicaster, Tetraspermae, and Wilsonia sections.  相似文献

The genus Muscodor comprises fungal endophytes which produce mixtures of volatile compounds (VOCs) with antimicrobial activities. In the present study, four novel species, Muscodor musae, M. oryzae, M. suthepensis and M. equiseti were isolated from Musa acuminata, Oryza rufipogon, Cinnamomum bejolghota and Equisetum debile, respectively; these are medicinal plants of northern Thailand. The new Muscodor species are distinguished based on morphological and physiological characteristics and on molecular analysis of ITS-rDNA. Volatile compound analysis showed that 2-methylpropanoic acid was the main VOCs produced by M. musae, M. suthepensis and M. equiseti. The mixed volatiles from each fungus showed in vitro antimicrobial activity. Muscodor suthepensis had the highest antifungal activity.  相似文献

The non-mimetic Afrotropical spider genus Cambalida Simon, 1909, placed within a subfamily of predominantly ant-mimicking spiders (Araneae: Corinnidae: Castianeirinae), is revised. Three species are transferred from Castianeira Keyserling, 1879 to Cambalida: Cambalida deminuta (Simon, 1909), comb. n., Cambalida fulvipes (Simon, 1896), comb. n. and Cambalida loricifera (Simon, 1885), comb. n.. A fourth species, Cambalida fagei (Caporiacco, 1939), comb. n., is transferred from Brachyphaea Simon, 1895 to Cambalida. Two species, Castianeira depygata Strand, 1916, syn. n. and Cambalida mestrali Lessert, 1921, syn. n., are considered junior synonyms of Cambalida fulvipes. The males of Cambalida deminuta and Cambalida loricifera are redescribed and their unknown females are described for the first time. The female and male of Cambalida fulvipes and Cambalida coriacea Simon, 1909 are also redescribed. The type material of the type species of the genus, Cambalida insulana Simon, 1909 from Pagalu (Annobon) Island, is lost, and only immature specimens have been subsequently collected from a nearby island. The species is regarded as a nomen dubium until fresh adult material can be collected. A replacement name, Cambalida simoni nom. n. is proposed for Cambalida fulvipes Simon, 1909, the latter being a secondary junior homonym of Cambalida fulvipes (Simon, 1896). The type material of this species is also lost and it is too considered nomen dubium. The following new species are described: Cambalida compressa sp. n. from West Africa, Cambalida dippenaarae sp. n. from southern Africa, Cambalida griswoldi sp. n. and Cambalida lineata sp. n. from Madagascar, and Cambalida unica sp. n. from Cameroon. Notes are provided on the biology of each species and the distribution of the genus in the Afrotropical Region.  相似文献

A nested polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique for amplifying a fragment of the gene (GH) encoding teleost growth hormone has been developed. Using this technique, a fragment of the pufferfish, Fugu rubripes and Arothron maculatus; dwarf gourami, Colisa lalia; guppy, Poecilia reticulata; and goldfish, Carassius auratus GH genes were cloned. The Fugu rubripes (Fugu) gene fragment was used to isolate the GH gene from a Fugu genomic library. The complete nucleotide sequence of a 8.5-kb SacI genomic fragment containing the Fugu GH gene has been determined. The GH gene spans 2.5 kb from the first codon to polyadenylation signal, and contains six exons and five introns similar to the GH genes of salmonids, tilapia, barramundi, flounder and yellowtail. The GH introns contain microsatellite and satellite sequences. The microsatellites found in the fifth intron of the GH gene are also present in the corresponding introns of tilapia, barramundi and flounder GH genes. Southern analysis revealed that the GH gene is a single-copy gene in the Fugu. The promoter region of the Fugu GH gene contains conserved sequences that are likely to be involved in the pituitary-specific expression of the gene. A phylogenetic tree of nucleotide (nt) sequences of all known teleost GH genes has been inferred using the distance matrix method. The topology of this tree reflects the major phylogenetic groupings of teleosts. The intron patterns and repetitive sequences of GH genes can serve as useful natural markers for the classification and phylogenetic studies of teleosts.  相似文献

The planthopper genus Neodurium Fennah is reviewed and Neodurium fennahi Chang & Chen, sp. n. (Hemiptera: Fulgoromorpha: Issidae) from China (Yunnan), is described and illustrated. A checklist of the species of Neodurium is given and a key provided for their separation. The female genitalia of Neodurium species are described for the first time.  相似文献

The effect of different prey mite species on development of the immature stages and on survival and oviposition of adult predator femalePhytoseiulus longipes Evans was studied.P. longipes completed its development onTetranychus pacificus McGregor,Oligonychus punicae (Hirst), andPanonychus citri (McGregor), but not onPetrobia harti (Ewing). Females oviposited while feeding onT. pacificus andO. punicae, but not onP. citri orP. harti. The highest percent survival was observed onT. pacificus, followed byO. punicae andP. citri. The longevity ofP. longipes onP. harti (vial arenas) and on pollen (leaf arenas) was the same as that on leaves with no food. The provision of 10% sucrose solution and clover honey doubled the longevity ofP. longipes females compared with no food.  相似文献
