A new species of the fungus weevil genus Glaesotropis is described from the Late Eocene Rovno amber. G. diadiasashai sp. nov. differs from G. weitschati and G. minor described from Baltic amber in having a longer rostrum and in the structure of its antennae, with the third and fourth antennomeres being longer than the first and second ones. Additionally, the new species differs from G. weitschati in being smaller, in having unswollen frons, and weakly and smoothly concave elytral margin near hind coxae. The new species also differs from G. minor in having an uninterrupted posterior transverse carina on the pronotum, elytra less convex longitudinally, and a slightly broadened rostrum at the attachment of antennae.  相似文献

Two new species of bark beetles are described from the Late Eocene Rovno amber. Xylechinus mozolevskae sp. nov. (Hylesininae: Tomicini) is the first fossil representative of this genus, differing from recent species in having large triangular scales along the suture. Taphramites rovnoensis sp. nov. (Scolytinae: Dryocoetini) differs from the closest species, T. gnathotrichus from Baltic amber, in the presence of short thin hairs on the elytra.  相似文献

Attagenus hyrcanus sp. n. differs from A. punctatus (Scop.) in the structure of the male antennae and aedeagus. Anthrenus montanus sp. n. can be distinguished from A. scrophulariae (L.) by the structure of the antennae, aedeagus, and sternite IX, and by the coloration of scales on the dorsal surface and metepisterna. Attagenus pulcher Fald. is a subspecies of A. tigrinus (F.). The name Anthrenus amoenulus araraticus Zhant. is resurrected. Some additional data on the distribution of Attagenus dispar (Redt.), Megatoma ussuriensis Mrocz. (= M. undata ussuriensis syn. n.), Globicornis (G.) antoniae (Rtt.), and Anthrenus delicatus Kies. are given.  相似文献

Arostropsis groehnigen. et sp. n. is described from Baltic amber and temporarily placed in the tribe Naupactini. It differs from all recent Naupactini genera with open corbels by very short and flattened scape, distinct lateral carina of the pronotum and elytra, and the rostrum distinctly narrower than the head capsule. The shape of head in the extinct genus is somewhat similar to that of the extant Naupactini genera with enclosed corbels (Platyomus Sahlberg, 1823 and Aptolemus Schoenherr, 1842), but differs in the slender body, open corbels, very short antennal scape and epifrons without a median sulcus (only a longitudinal depression is slightly visible). It is also similar to the Tanymecine genus Pandeleteius Schoenherr, 1834 in general appearance, but distinct by the straight anterior edge of the pronotum, lack of postocular spurs, lobes, and vibrissae, a slightly sloping elytral declivity, lateral ridges on the pronotum, subflattened antennal scape, elongate rostrum, and sparsely setose epistome. A new synonymy of the generic names Protonaupactus Zherikhin, 1971 and Sucinophyllobius Wanat & Borowiec, 1986, syn. n., is established. The Madagascan genus Corecaulus Fairmaire, 1903 is transferred from the tribe Naupactini to the Brachyderini because of its connate claws and the similarity in chaetotaxy of the epistomal area with African and Madagascar Brachyderini genera. A key to the identification of known Baltic amber genera of Entiminae is proposed. A checklist of the prepleistocene fossil Entiminae, based on V.V. Zherikhin's data, with remarks and corrections, is presented.  相似文献

Ponomarenkylon alexandri gen. et sp. nov. (Melittommatinae) from the Late Eocene Baltic amber is described. The long filiform antennae and the apparent absence of sensillary organs, which are frequently present on modified maxillary palps in other lymexylids, are evidence of the primitive state of the new genus.  相似文献

Thorictus gibbosus sp. n. can be distinguished from T. foveicollis Rtt. by a very strongly convex basal part of the pronotum, the presence of two deep depressions near its basal margin, and in the shape of the humeral prominences and thoracic trichomes. T. medvedevi sp. n. differs from the two above species in the shape of the body, the presence of fine carinae near the pronotal depressions, the shape of the thoracic trichomes. T. medvedevi additionally differs from T. gibbosus in the shape of the humeral prominences and the less strongly convex basal part of the pronotum.  相似文献

Alicodoxa rasnitsynigen. et sp. n. (Dictyopharinae: Orthopagini) is described based on a nymph from Rovno amber; it also occurs in Baltic amber. A small additional wax plate dorsal to the large wax plate of abdominal tergites VI-VIII is first reported in this and other genera of Dictyopharidae. A lectotype is designated for Pseudophana reticulata Germar & Berendt, 1856 transferred to Protepiptera (Achilidae): Protepiptera reticulata (Germar & Berendt, 1856), comb. n.  相似文献

Thorictus crinitus sp. n. differs from Th. bifoveolatus Rtt. and Th. medvedevi Zhant. in the shape of the pronotum, the presence of transverse depressions in its basal corners, the presence of prothoracic trichomes, and in the shape of the fused mesothoracic and metathoracic trichomes. Thorictus pamirensis sp. n. differs from Th. medvedevi in the shape of the pronotum and in the presence of transverse depressions in its basal corners. It can be distinguished from Th. crinitus sp. n. by the shape of the pronotum, the absence of prothoracic trichomes, and by the shape of the meso- and metathoracic trichomes. Thorictus bifoveolatus Rtt. differs from Th. pamirensis sp. n. in the shape of the body, pronotum, eyes, and trichomes and in the absence of depressions in the basal corners of the pronotum. Thorictus beali sp. n. differs from Th. koenigi Rtt. and the other related species in the presence of narrow thoracic trichomes bounded posteriorly by cuticular prominences and in the shape of marginal furrow at the base of the pronotum. New synonymies were established: Th. kaznakovi Schmidt, 1904 = Th. hendeli Reitter, 1910, syn. n. and Th. lebedewi Reitter, 1909 = Th. babadjanidis John, 1971, syn. n. Data on the distribution of 15 species and the biology of 10 species occurring in the Crimea, the Caucasus, Volgograd Province, Kazakhstan, and Middle Asia are presented.  相似文献

A new genus, Microsoronia, gen. nov., and new species of this genus, M. hoffeinsorum, sp. nov. from the Bitterfeld amber and M. kerneggeri sp. nov., M. nigerrima sp. nov., and M. interfax, sp. nov. from the Baltic amber, are described. The earliest known member of the genus Phenolia, P. (Lasiodites) angustitibialis, sp. nov., is described from the Baltic amber. The systematic position of these two genera, their possible evolution, as well as the possible ecology and bionomics of their members are discussed. It is shown that “Phenolia” incapax Scudder, 1890 should be included in the family Peltidae, rather than Nitidulidae.  相似文献

Ant species found as syninclusions with aphids in Rovno and Saxonian ambers are listed for the first time. In a collection of 143 pieces of Rovno amber with worker ants, aphids were found in only one syninclusion with Ctenobethylus goepperti (Mayr). In a collection of Saxonian amber, 53 aphids of the genus Germaraphis were found in 152 amber pieces with ant workers; five syninclusions with aphids contained 19 specimens of C. goepperti; two syninclusions contained ten specimens of Lasius schiefferdeckeri Mayr; and three syninclusions contained one specimen each: one Camponotus mengei Mayr, one Anonichomyrma constricta (Mayr), and one Formica flori Mayr. Considering that the Rovno and Saxonian collections are nearly equal in the number of amber pieces, the fundamental difference in the number of syninclusions is striking. The number of C. goepperti in syninclusions is disproportionately high; the proportion of syninclusions with aphids and C. goepperti is 1.6 times that of all inclusions of workers of this species. They are found in 31% of examined inclusions of workers in the collection of the Saxonian amber, but in 50% of syninclusions of the entire collection. This strongly suggests that C. goepperti and Germaraphis formed an association during their lifetime.  相似文献

Data on ecology of 90 species of dermestid beetles from all the known subfamilies, tribes and most of genera in the Palaearctic fauna were obtained and summarized. The ecological groups of species were distinguished, and their hierarchical classification was elaborated. Comparison of this classification with the taxonomic classification of the family Dermestidae has shown the coincidence of the two systems down to the tribe level. The ecological groups of lower ranks correspond to genera, subgenera, or groups of closely related species. Thus, members of each taxon occupy a certain adaptive zone. The ecological groups of the same classification level are characterized by a particular type of adaptations. The data obtained were used for development of hypotheses on the origin and evolutionary trends of the basal dermestid lineages. These data may also be used for improvement of the classification of the family and solution of some taxonomic problems.  相似文献

Beetle remains from the Triassic Khey-Yaga locality, Nenets National District, Korotaikha Basin, Nyadeita Formation, Olenekian-Anisian are described. Only isolated elytra have been found. Tetracoleus tshalyshevi gen. et sp. nov. and T. minimus sp. nov. are described and assigned to Tricoleidae, and six new species are described in formal taxa. Tetracoleus is close to Permian tricoleids just found in the Newcastle Group of Australia and the Vyatkian Aristovo locality of northern European Russia. The composition of elytra in the locality is closer to that of Lower Triassic localities than other Middle Triassic localities and characterizes the beginning of a recovery after the Permian-Triassic ecological crisis. Longxianocupes Hong in Liu, Liu et Hong, 1985 is shown to be a junior synonym of Sogdelytron Ponomarenko, 1969. The species Palademosyne ovum Ponomarenko, 2004, P. elongatum Ponomarenko, 2004, and P. latum Ponomarenko, 2004 are transferred to the genus Pseudochrysomelites Handlirsch, 1906.  相似文献
