Transgressive sequences of Campanian-Maastrichtian Stages in Turkey generally begin with medium- to coarse-grained clastics and continue with shallow marine limestones, reefal limestones and then open marine rhythmic fine-grained clastics. These mixed siliciclastic-carbonate sequences are observed on three main platforms known as Rhodope-Pontide (RPP), Anatolide-Tauride (ATP) and Arabian (AP). New species of the rudist genera Gorjanovicia, Radiolites, Sauvagesia, Durania and Sabinia are observed on the RPP. Yvaniella and Ugarella are only found on this platform. Orbitoides gruenbachensis Papp is the most abundant species of benthic foraminifera on the RPP. Cideina soezerii (Sirel), Dizerina anatolica Meriç, Helicorbitoides boluensis Sirel, Ilgazina unilateralis Erdo?an, Nummofallotia kastamonica Özgen-Erdem, Selimina spinalis ?nan, Sirelina orduensis Meriç and ?nan, Smoutina cruysi Drooger are also observed on this platform. Rudist and benthic foraminifera on the ATP have both high diversity and abundance in comparison with RPP and AP faunas. Genus and species diversity of the rudist fauna is quite high: 17 genera and 36 species are described. New rudist genera such as Darendeella, Kurtinia and Balabania and many new species of Radiolitidae and Hippuritidae may be restricted to this platform. Characteristic larger benthic foraminifera contain 18 genera and 37 species. Among benthic foraminifera Loftusia ketini Meriç, L. turcica Meriç and Av?ar, Postomphalocyclus merici ?nan and Pseudoedomia hekimhanensis Görmü? are also likely restricted to this platform. Rudist diversity on the AP is poor. Four endemic genera (Vautrinia, Dictyoptychus, Paracaprinula and Hatayia) and two species (Hippurites syriaca Vautrin, Pironaea syriaca Vautrin) characterize the fauna on this platform. Loftusia diversity and abundance among the benthic foraminifera is quite high. Arnaudella grossouvreii Douvillé, Discyclina schlumbergeri Munier-Chalmas, Loftusia harrisoni Cox, L. elongata Cox, L. matsumaruii Meriç and Görmü? and Pseudorbitolina marthae Douvillé are only documented from southeastern Anatolia. Biogeographic distributions of rudist and benthic foraminifera show different faunal associations on the three main platforms (RPP, ATP and AP). Our data from both rudist and benthic foraminifera indicate that different faunal associations and existence of restricted genera and species may be associated with a deep marine barrier to circulation during the Campanian-Maastrichtian. Southern and northern branches of the Neotethyan Ocean are considered to be barriers in preventing migration of the species.  相似文献

Three new species of Nothacrobeles are described from localities in the Mojave Desert, southern California. Nothacrobeles triniglarus n. sp. is characterized by the presence of a long post-vulval sac and three tubular adoral projections. Both N. spatulatus n. sp. and N. nanocorpus n. sp. are smaller than any other known species within the genus. Nothacrobeles spatulatus n. sp. has labial probolae that are short and spatulate without a basal ridge, whereas those of N. nanocorpus n. sp. are flattened and plate-like. Furthermore, N. nanocorpus n. sp. is unique by its extremely short esophageal corpus (less than 25 µm long in adult females) and the small size of its guard processes. An emended diagnosis of the genus is given to accommodate distinctive characteristics of these new species. A table comparing the 11 valid species of Nothacrobeles is presented.  相似文献

Proturan collections from Magadan Oblast, Khabarovsk Krai, Primorsky Krai, and Sakhalin Oblast are reported here. Twenty-five species are found of which 13 species are new records for Russian Far East which enrich the knowledge of Protura known for this area. Three new species Baculentulus krabbensis sp. n., Fjellbergella lazovskiensis sp. n. and Yichunentulus alpatovi sp. n. are illustrated and described. The new materials of Imadateiella sharovi (Martynova, 1977) are studied and described in details. Two new combinations, Yichunentulus borealis (Nakamura, 2004), comb. n. and Fjellbergella jilinensis (Wu & Yin, 2007), comb. n. are proposed as a result of morphological examination. Keys to species of the genera Fjellbergella and Yichunentulus are given. An annotated list of all species of Protura from Russian Far East is provided and discussed. Widely distributed species were not recorded in this area. This may be because of the high sensitivity of Protura to anthropogenic impact and low dispersal ability of the group.  相似文献

The lancanjiang species group of the termitophilous ground beetle genus Orthogonius Macleay, 1825, is defined and reviewed. This group is characterized by the black and rather elongate body, dense punctation on head and elytra, long and slender appendages, thin fore tibiae, and elytral interval 3 without a subapical setiferous pore. To date, the lancanjiang species group is composed of four species and one subspecies, including three new species and one new subspecies which are described in the present paper: O. macrophthalmus sp. n. (northern Vietnam), O. euthyphallus sp. n. (southern Vietnam), O. euthyphallus bolavenensis ssp. n. (southern Laos) and O. carinatus sp. n. (northern Laos). A distribution map and a key to all species of this group are also provided.  相似文献

Three new intertidal oribatid species, Selenoribates elegans sp. n., Selenoribates quasimodo sp. n. and Selenoribates satanicus sp. n. are described from the archipelago of Bermuda. Selenoribates elegans sp. n. is characterized by its slender body shape, Selenoribates quasimodo sp. n. possesses a hunchback in lateral view and Selenoribates satanicus sp. n. exhibits two horn-like projections on its anterior gastronotic region. Based on these new findings, the number of Selenoribates species doubled at once and the distribution of this genus, formerly limited to the Mediterranean and the Red Sea, includes now occurrences in the Atlantic and Indo-pacific Ocean as well. The morphology of Selenoribates quasimodo sp. n. and Selenoribates satanicus sp. n. deviates conspicuously from the other known members of Selenoribates, thus indicating that not only the number of species but also the anatomy of this genus is more diverse than formerly supposed. Nymphs of Selenoribates quasimodo sp. n. show an interesting case of ontogenetic neotrichy, with gastronotic setae being duplicated with each moult.  相似文献

The genera Haplocytheridea and Cytheridea have Tethyan origins and a wide paleobiogeographic and stratigraphic distribution, ranging from the Cretaceous to Recent. Both of them have been recorded in northern South America, but only Cytheridea has been found in the northern Cretaceous basins of Brazil. The genus Haplocytheridea is recorded, for the first time, in the Early Miocene deposits of the Pirabas Formation of northern Brazil, from a 20 m-thick succession of carbonate and argillaceous rocks deposited in lagoonal and restricted platform environments. Among the ten Haplocytheridea species identified, four are new: H. variopunctata n. sp., H. sandbergi n. sp., H. pirabasensis n. sp. and H. sinuosa n. sp. In addition, three new species of Cytheridea are also described: C. coimbrai n. sp., C. pirabasensis n. sp. and C. purperae n. sp. The highest frequencies and abundances of both genera, in the studied section, are thought to be associated with nearshore to brackish water settings.  相似文献
