Aim:  To investigate the effects of feeding and induction strategies on the production of Bm R1 recombinant antigen.
Methods and Results:  Fed-batch fermentation was studied with respect to the specific growth rate and mode of induction to assess the growth potential of the bacteria in a bioreactor and to produce high yield of Bm R1 recombinant antigen. Cells were grown at a controlled specific growth rate (μset) during pre-induction, followed by constant feeding postinduction. The highest biomass (24·3 g l−1) was obtained during fed-batch process operated at μset of 0·15 h−1, whereby lower μset (0·075 h−1) gave the highest protein production (9·82 mg l−1). The yield of Bm R1 was increased by 1·2-fold upon induction with 1 mmol l−1 IPTG (isopropyl-β- d -thiogalactoside) compared to using 5 mmol l−1 and showed a further 3·5-fold increase when the culture was induced twice at the late log phase.
Conclusions:  Combination of feeding at a lower μset and twice induction with 1 mmol l−1 IPTG yielded the best result of all variables tested, promising an improved method for Bm R1 production .
Significance and Impact of the Study:  This method can be used to increase the production scale of the Bm R1 recombinant antigen to meet the increasing demand for Brugia Rapid, a commercial diagnostic test for detection of brugian filariasis.  相似文献

Aims:  3-Methylindole (3-MI) is a degradation product of l -tryptophan and is both an animal waste malodorant and threat to ruminant health. Culture conditions influencing 3-MI production in Clostridium scatologenes ATCC 25775 were investigated.
Methods and Results:  Extracellular 3-MI levels in cells cultured in brain heart infusion (BHI) medium (pH 7·0) at 33°C and 37°C for 72 h were 907 ± 38 and 834 ± 121  μ mol l−1, respectively. Cells cultured in tryptone-yeast (TY) extract medium at 37°C for 48 h produced 104 ± 86  μ mol l−1 3-MI; however, addition of 1 mmol l−1  l -tryptophan failed to increase extracellular levels (113 ± 50  μ mol l−1 3-MI). Specific activity of indole acetic acid decarboxylase measured in BHI, TY and TY plus 1 mmol l−1 tryptophan-grown cells displayed 35-, 33- and 76-fold higher levels than in semi-defined medium-grown cells.
Conclusions:  When cultured in rich medium, at 33°C or 37°C and pH 7·0, Cl. scatologenes ATCC 25775 optimally produced 3-MI. Addition of l- tryptophan to medium did not lead to significant increases in extracellular 3-MI levels. Whole cell assays indicate growth in rich medium significantly up-regulated 3-MI production.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  Information presented here may prove useful in understanding what factors influence 3-MI production in malodorous animal wastes.  相似文献

Aims:  To assess chlorine susceptibility of Legionella pneumophila grown from two amoebic hosts, Acanthamoeba castellanii and Hartmannella vermiformis .
Methods and Results:  After being released from amoebae, Leg. pneumophila were chlorinated at 2 and 5 mg l−1 for 5 min–24 h. Bacterial culturability and cytoplasmic membrane deterioration were quantified by culture assay on BCYEα agar and BacLight stains coupled with a fluorescent microscope, respectively. Chlorination reduced the culturability of Leg. pneumophila by 2·93–4·59 log CFU ml−1 and damaged cellular membrane by 53·8–99·2%. Moreover, cells released from H. vermiformis exhibited significantly lower degrees in culturability reduction ( P  = 0·0008) and membrane deterioration ( P  < 0·0001) when compared with those from A. castellanii . The amoebic genus is the most significant parameter affecting cytoplasmic membrane integrity of chlorinated Legionella ( P  < 0·0001), followed by free chlorine concentration ( P  = 0·042).
Conclusions:  Legionella pneumophila replicated from H. vermiformis possess greater chlorine resistance than the cells from A. castellanii .
Significance and Impact of the Study:  This study shows the heterogeneity of amoebae-grown Leg. pneumophila in chlorine susceptibility, which should be considered in the control of legionellae proliferation, particularly in the systems where H. vermiformis is dominant, e.g. hot water plumbing.  相似文献

Aims:  To quantify the phytotoxicity and effect of alternative seed treatments based on acidified nitrite and elicitors of plant resistance (Tillekur and Chitosan) against seed-borne inocula of Didymella lycopersici .
Methods and Results:  Treatments tested were: nitrite [sodium nitrite in citric acid buffer (pH 2)] at 30, 100 and 300 mmol l−1 and three exposure times (10, 20 and 30 min); Tillekur (in water) at 12·5, 25, 50, 100 and 200 mg ml−1; Chitosan (in 0·05% acetic acid) at 2·5, 5, 10 and 50 mg ml−1. Efficacy of treatments was determined in growth chamber experiments. Nitrite at 300 mmol l−1 was completely effective, as was the fungicide, at controlling disease when applied for less than 20 min. Tillekur was as effective as the fungicide postemergence, but proved to be phytotoxic pre-emergence. Chitosan was significantly less effective than the other treatments.
Conclusions:  The high efficacy and low cost of acidified nitrite indicates that it is a suitable alternative to fungicides.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  There is currently a lack of effective seed treatments that can be used in organic and low-input crops. Treatments identified in this study can be considered as an effective alternative to chemical control against seed-borne fungal pathogens.  相似文献

Aim:  To produce high laccase activities from the white-rot fungus Fomes fomentarius .
Methods and Results:  Different culturing methods, viz, cell immobilization on stainless steel sponges and plastic material and solid-state fermentation (SSF) using wheat bran as substrate were used for laccase production by the white-rot fungus F. fomentarius . The SSF study expresses the highest laccase activities, nearly to 6400 U l−1 after 13 days of laboratory flasks cultivation. When the wheat bran medium was supplemented with 2 mmol l−1 copper sulfate, laccase activity increased by threefold in comparison to control cultures, reaching 27 864 U l−1. With the medium thus optimized, further experiments were performed in a 3 l fixed-bed bioreactor (working volume 1·5 l) leading to a laccase activity of about 6230 U l−1 on day 13.
Conclusions:  The results obtained clearly showed the superiority of wheat bran for laccase production over stainless steel sponges and plastic material. Supplementing the wheat bran solid medium with 2 mmol l−1 copper sulfate allowed obtaining high activities at flask scale. The system was scaled to fixed-bed laboratory reactor.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  The high enzyme production along with the low-cost of the substrate, showed the suitability of the system F. fomentarius – SSF for industrial purposes.  相似文献

Aims:  To determine the ability of probiotic lactobacilli to improve the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC) using a randomized, double-blind and placebo-controlled trial.
Methods and Results:  Fifty-five women diagnosed with VVC by vaginal discharge positive for Candida spp. (according to culture method) associated with at least one of the symptoms (itching and burning vaginal feeling, dyspareunia and dysuria), were treated with single dose of fluconazole (150 mg) supplemented every morning for the following 4 weeks with two placebo or two probiotic capsules (containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus GR-1 and Lactobacillus reuteri RC-14). At 4 weeks, the probiotic treated group showed significantly less vaginal discharge associated with any of the above mentioned symptoms (10·3% vs 34·6%; P  =   0·03) and lower presence of yeast detected by culture (10·3% vs 38·5%; P  =   0·014).
Conclusion:  This study has shown that probiotic lactobacilli can increase the effectiveness of an anti-fungal pharmaceutical agent in curing disease.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  This novel finding of probiotic lactobacilli augmenting the cure rate of yeast vaginitis, not only offers an alternative approach to a highly prevalent condition that adversely affects the quality of life of women around the world, but also raises the question of how this combination works.  相似文献

Aims:  To determine the reducing capacity of Listeria monocytogenes and to highlight the effect of redox potential on its growth parameters.
Methods and Results:  The reducing capacity of L. monocytogenes was monitored in Brain Heart Infusion Broth media at different initial redox potential (Eh) and pH at 37°C. The effect of Eh obtained by gas flushing (air, N2 and N2-H2) or by adding potassium ferricyanide and dithiotreitol in concentration from 1 to 10 mmol l−1on L. monocytogenes growth parameters at pH 6·0, 7·0 and 8·0 was investigated. A total change of 539 mV (±44 mV) from an initial redox value of +330 ± 8 mV to a more negative potential in redox curves was observed resulting from L. monocytogenes growth at pH 7·0 at 37°C. A significant influence of pH and redox potential on L. monocytogenes lag phase of growth was shown ( P  < 0·05).
Conclusions:  Listeria monocytogenes exhibited longer lag phase in reducing conditions and at pH 6·0. The method used to modify the redox potential was shown to have no effect on growth parameters at pH 7·0.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  The provided information on the extending lag time and the possible delayed growth of this major pathogen in reducing conditions might be useful for its control in foods.  相似文献

Physiological impact of sea lice on swimming performance of Atlantic salmon   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6
Atlantic salmon Salmo salar were infected with two levels of sea lice Lepeophtheirus salmonis (0·13 ± 0·02 and 0·02 ± 0·00 sea lice g−1). Once sea lice became adults, the ventral aorta of each fish was fitted with a Doppler cuff to measure cardiac output ( ̇ ), heart rate ( f H) and stroke volume ( V S) during swimming. Critical swimming speeds ( U crit) of fish with higher sea lice numbers [2·1 ± 0·1 BL (body lengths) s−1] were significantly lower ( P  < 0·05) than fish with lower numbers (2·4 ± 0·1 BL s−1) and controls (sham infected, 2·6 ± 0·1 BL s−1). After swimming, chloride levels in fish with higher sea lice numbers (184·4 ± 11·3 mmol l−1) increased significantly (54%) from levels at rest and were significantly higher than fish with fewer lice (142·0 ± 3·7 mmol l−1) or control fish (159·5 ± 3·5 mmol l−1). The f H of fish with more lice was 9% slower than the other two groups at U crit. This decrease resulted in ̇ not increasing from resting levels. Sublethal infection by sea lice compromised the overall fitness of Atlantic salmon. The level of sea lice infection used in the present study was lower than has previously been reported to be detrimental to wild Atlantic salmon.  相似文献

Aim:  To study the effect of biosurfactant on aqueous phase solubility and biodegradation of chlorpyrifos.
Methods and Results:  A Pseudomonas sp. (ChlD), isolated from agricultural soil by enrichment culture technique in the presence of chlorpyrifos, was capable of producing biosurfactant (rhamnolipids) and degrading chlorpyrifos (0·01 g l−1). The partially purified rhamnolipid biosurfactant preparation, having a CMC of 0·2 g l−1, was evaluated for its ability to enhance aqueous phase partitioning and degradation of chlorpyrifos (0·01 g l−1) by ChlD strain. The best degradation efficiency was observed at 0·1 g l−1 supplement of biosurfactant, as validated by GC and HPLC studies.
Conclusion:  The addition of biosurfactant at 0·1 g l−1 resulted in more than 98% degradation of chlorpyrifos when compared to 84% in the absence of biosurfactant after 120-h incubation.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  This first report, to the best of our knowledge, on enhanced degradation of chlorpyrifos in the presence of biosurfactant(s), would help in developing bioremediation protocols to counter accumulation of organophosphates to toxic/carcinogenic levels in environment.  相似文献

Aims:  Sclerotium rolfsii ATCC 201126 exopolysaccharides (EPSs) recovered at 48 h (EPS I) and 72 h (EPS II) of fermentation, with differences in rheological parameters, hydrogel topography, salt tolerance, antisyneresis, emulsifying and suspending properties, were subjected to a polyphasic characterization in order to detect structural divergences.
Methods and Results:  Fermenter-scale production led to productivity ( P r) and yield ( Y P/C) values higher at 48 h ( P r = 0·542 g l−1 h−1; Y P/C = 0·74) than at 72 h ( P r = 0·336 g l−1 h−1; Y P/C = 0·50). Both EPSs were neutral glucose-homopolysaccharides with a β-(1,3)-glycosidic backbone and single β-(1,6)-glucopyranosyl sidechains regularly attached every three residues in the main chain, as revealed by chemical analyses. The infra-red diagnostic peak at 890 cm−1 confirmed β-glycosidic linkages, while gentiobiose released by β-(1,3)-glucanases confirmed single β-1,6-glycosidic branching for both EPSs.
Conclusions:  The true modular repeating unit of S. rolfsii ATCC 201126 scleroglucan could be resolved. Structural stability was corroborated and no structural differences could be detected as to account for the variations in EPSs behaviour.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  Recovery of S. rolfsii ATCC 201126 scleroglucan at 48 h might be considered based on better fermentation kinetic parameters and no detrimental effects on EPS structural features.  相似文献

Background:  Gastric colonization with Helicobacter pylori is a proposed protective factor against gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), but little population-based data exist and other data conflict.
Methods:  We conducted a case–control study within the membership of a large integrated health-care system that compared GERD-free subjects with two groups: subjects with a physician-assigned GERD diagnosis and randomly selected members with self-described weekly GERD symptoms. Subjects completed interviews, GERD questionnaires, and antibody testing for H. pylori and its cagA protein.
Results:  Serologic data were available for 301 physician-assigned GERD patients, 81 general membership subjects with GERD symptoms, and 175 general membership subjects without GERD symptoms. Physician-assigned GERD patients were less likely to have H. pylori antibodies than GERD-free member controls (odds ratio (OR) = 0.27, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.15–0.47); there was also an inverse association between H. pylori and GERD symptom severity (OR = 0.18, 95% CI 0.08–0.41; severe or very severe symptoms) and GERD frequency (OR = 0.18, 95% CI 0.09–0.38; for symptoms at least weekly). The association was stronger among persons with erosive GERD and was similar between H. pylori -positive subjects with and without cagA. There was no association among persons who were cagA positive, but H. pylori negative. Similar findings were found in analyses of the general membership with self-described GERD symptoms.
Conclusions:  H. pylori antibody status was inversely associated with a GERD diagnosis and GERD symptoms compared with a general membership population.  相似文献

Aims:  To investigate the surviving capability of Rhodobacter sphaeroides under phototrophic conditions in the presence of high cobalt concentration and its influence on the photosynthetic apparatus biosynthesis.
Methods and Results:  Cells from R. sphaeroides strain R 26·1 were grown anaerobically in a medium containing 5·0 mmol l−1 cobalt ions and in a control medium. Metal toxicity was investigated comparing the soluble proteome of Co2+-exposed cells and cells grown in control medium by two-dimensional gel electrophoretic analysis. Significant changes in the expression level were detected for 43 proteins, the majority (35) being up-regulated. The enzyme porphobilinogen deaminase (PBGD) was found down-regulated and its activity was investigated.
Conclusions:  The up-regulated enzymes mainly belong to the general category of proteins and DNA degradation enzymes, suggesting that part of the catabolic reaction products can rescue bacterial growth in photosynthetically impaired cells. Furthermore, the down-regulation of PBGD strongly indicates that this key enzyme of the tetrapyrrole and bacteriochlorophyll synthesis is directly involved in the metabolic response.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  Data and experiments show that the cobalt detrimental effect on the photosynthetic growth of R. sphaeroides is associated with an impaired expression and functioning of PBGD.  相似文献

Aims:  To enhance the recovery of f2 bacteriophage and poliovirus by an established method based on the adsorption to and elution from positively-charged Al(OH)3-treated silica gel.
Methods and Results:  Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC) was added to water samples to neutralize the negatively charged materials, which can reduce virus recovery by providing a competing adsorption mode on the media surface. Using this improved process (PAC 30 mg l−1, pH 6·5, temperature 20∼30°C), the recoveries of Poliovirus I and f2 from small-volume sewage (100 ml) were 110·76 ± 36·0% and 92·06 ± 8·65%, respectively ( P  < 0·05 vs. traditional methods). Recovery from a 20-L volume of sewage averaged 85·65 ± 4·43% for f2 and 88·73 ± 9·76% for poliovirus, significantly higher than the recoveries in the traditional methods ( P  < 0·05).
Conclusions:  PAC could enhance concentration efficiency of poliovirus and f2 phage from sewage water.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  This method should significantly improve the recovery of viruses from sewage.  相似文献

Aims:  To evaluate the activities of six Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus (LB) strains against 30 Helicobacter pylori strains by agar-well diffusion method.
Methods and Results:  LB cultures [4 × 108–4 × 109 CFU ml−1) either were prepared in milk at their native pH, 3·8–5·0, or were adjusted to pH 6·4–7·7. At low and neutralized pH, LB strains inhibited the growth by 40–86·7% and 16·7–66·7% of H. pylori strains, respectively. LB activity was strain-dependent. At low and neutralized pH, one and five H. pylori strains, respectively, were not inhibited by any LB strain. LB2 and LB3, taken together, were active against most metronidazole and clarithromycin resistant strains.
Conclusions:  All LB strains inhibited a number of H. pylori strains, including also antibiotic resistant strains. LB activity was strain-dependent and better at low pH. At low pH values, the most active LB strains were LB1, LB2 and LB3, inhibiting 86·7% of H. pylori strains, while at neutralized pH values, the most active LB strains were LB2 and LB3, inhibiting 53·3 and 66·7% of H. pylori strains, respectively.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  LB could be utilized in the treatment or prophylaxis of H. pylori infection and warrants clinical investigations.  相似文献

Aims:  Isolation of novel alginate degrading bacteria for the disposal of seaweed waste in composting process.
Methods and Results:  Decomposition of alginate polymers was checked by the 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid (DNS) method for reducing sugar, and absorbance at 235 nm for unsaturated sugar. A bacterium A7 was isolated from wakame compost and confirmed to belong to the genus Gracilibacillus by partial 16S rDNA analysis. The optimum condition for the growth of A7 in a medium containing 5 g l−1 of sodium alginate is as follows: pH, 8·5–9·5; NaCl, 0·5 mol l−1; temperature, 30°C and polypeptone as nutrient content, 2–5 g l−1. In a laboratory-scale composting experiment, the alginate content in wakame compost decreased to 14·3% after 72 h of composting from an initial value of 36%, indicating the effectiveness of alginate decomposition of A7 in wakame composting.
Conclusions:  The bacterium A7 was found to be alginate lyase-producing in genus Gracilibacillus and effective in degrading alginate to oligosaccharides in wakame during composting process.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  Development of new methods for the disposal of marine wastes and production of functional products.  相似文献

Aims:  To investigate antibacterial activities of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NP) and their mode of action against an important foodborne pathogen, Escherichia coli O157:H7.
Methods and Results:  ZnO NP with sizes of 70 nm and concentrations of 0, 3, 6 and 12 mmol l−1 and NP-free solutions were used in antimicrobial tests against E. coli O157:H7. ZnO NP showed increasing inhibitory effects on the growth of E. coli O157:H7 as the concentrations of ZnO NP increased. A complete inhibition of microbial growth was achieved at the concentration level of 12 mmol l−1 or higher. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Raman spectroscopy were used to characterize the changes of morphology and cellular compositions of bacterial cells treated with ZnO NP and study the mode of action of ZnO NP against E. coli O157:H7. The intensity of lipid and protein bands in the Raman spectra of bacterial cells increased after exposure to ZnO NP, while no significant changes in nucleic acid bands were observed.
Conclusions:  ZnO NP were found to have antibacterial activity against E. coli O157:H7. The inhibitory effects increase as the concentration of ZnO NP increased. Results indicate that ZnO NP may distort and damage bacterial cell membrane, resulting in a leakage of intracellular contents and eventually the death of bacterial cells.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  These results suggest that ZnO NP could potentially be used as an effective antibacterial agent to protect agricultural and food safety.  相似文献

Aims:  Weak acids are widely used by the food industry to prevent spoilage and to inhibit the growth of pathogenic micro-organisms. In this study the inhibitory effects of three commonly used weak acids, acetic acid, benzoic acid and sorbic acid, on the growth of Listeria monocytogenes were investigated.
Methods and Results:  In a chemically defined medium at pH 6·4 benzoic acid had the greatest inhibitory effect (50% inhibition of growth at 4 mmol l−1), while acetate was the least inhibitory (50% inhibition of growth at 50 mmol l−1). Mutants lacking either sigmaB (Δ sigB ) or two of the glutamate decarboxylase systems (Δ gadAB ) were used to investigate the contribution these systems make to weak acid tolerance in L. monocytogenes .
Conclusions:  The stress-inducible sigma factor sigmaB (σB) was not required for protection against acetate and played only a minor role in tolerating benzoate and sorbate. The glutamate decarboxylase system, which plays an important role in tolerating inorganic acids, played no significant role in the ability of L. monocytogenes to tolerate these weak acids, and neither did the presence of glutamate in the growth medium.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  These results suggest that the effectiveness of weak acid preservatives in food will not be compromised by the presence of glutamate, at least under mildly acidic conditions.  相似文献

Aims:  This work aimed to improve the production of anti-tubercular hirsutellones by the insect pathogenic fungus Hirsutella nivea BCC 2594.
Methods and Results:  The fungus was cultivated under different carbon/nitrogen sources and aerations (shake vs static flasks) to improve the production of the anti-tubercular alkaloids, hirsutellones A–D. Under the basal conditions, static cultivation at 25°C in minimum salt medium, only hirsutellone B and C were detected with maximum concentrations of 139·00 and 18·27 mg l−1. Substitution of fructose for glucose and peptone for yeast extract increased the titres of hirsutellones A, B and C about two- to threefold. However, hirsutellone D was not detected in this medium. Culture agitation induced the production of hirsutellone D. As a result, the significant amounts of hirsutellones A–D were obtained with the concentration of 29·93, 169·63, 22·65 and 15·71 mg l−1 within 15 days.
Conclusions:  Improved titres of hirsutellones in H. nivea BCC 2549 were achieved with an agitated (200 rev min−1) fructose–peptone medium at 25°C.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  Improved yields of hirsutellones B–D will enable medicinal chemistry modifications leading to a development of a potential candidate for tuberculosis therapy.  相似文献

Aims:  Salmonellosis is one of the most common foodborne diseases in the world. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antibacterial efficiency of 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) based photosensitization against one of food pathogens Salmonella enterica .
Methods and Results:  Salmonella enterica was incubated with ALA (7·5 mmol l−1) for 1–4 h and afterwards illuminated with visible light. The light source used for illumination of S. enterica emitted light λ  = 400 nm with energy density 20 mW cm−2. The illumination time varied from 0 to 20 min and subsequently a total energy dose reached 0–24 J cm−2. The data obtained indicate that S. enterica is able to produce endogenous photosensitizer PpIX when incubated with ALA. Remarkable inactivation of micro-organisms can be achieved (6 log) after photosensitization. It is obvious that photosensitization-based inactivation of S. enterica depends on illumination as well as incubation with ALA time.
Conclusion:  ALA-based photosensitization can be an effective tool against multi-drug resistant Gram-negative bacteria S. enterica serovar Typhimurium.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  Experimental data and mathematical evaluations support the idea that ALA-based photosensitization can be a useful tool for the development of nonthermal food preservation technology in future.  相似文献

Aims:  This study focused on the cloning, expression and characterization of recombinant heparinase II (rHepII) from Bacteroides stercoris HJ-15.
Methods and Results:  The heparinase II gene from Bact. stercoris HJ-15 was identified by Southern blotting and the sequence was deposited in GenBank. The gene was cloned and overexpressed in Escherichia coli , and rHepII was purified using two simple ion–exchange column chromatography steps. Enzymatic properties and substrate specificities of rHepII were assessed and its kinetic constants were calculated. Heparin-like glycosaminoglycans (HLGAGs) were digested with rHepII under optimal reaction conditions, and the products were analysed by SAX-HPLC.
Conclusions:  The heparinase II gene is 2322-bp long and consists of 773 amino acids. rHepII is most active in 50 mmol l−1 sodium phosphate buffer with 75 mmol l−1 NaCl (pH 7·4) at 32°C, and the activity is stable at 4°C for 15 days on storage. Acharan sulfate is the best substrate for rHepII, followed by heparan sulfate and heparin. The major degradation products were verified as highly sulfated disaccharides through SAX-HPLC analysis. It means that rHepII prefers iduronic acid over glucuronic acid on the HLGAG structure.
Significance and Impact of the Study:  This study provides easy and certain means for obtaining large amounts of pure rHepII and also provides important information regarding the tendencies of this enzyme and its digested products. rHepII digests HLGAGs in a different manner than heparinases from Flavobacterium heparinum ; therefore, we anticipate that rHepII will be a powerful tool for studies of GAGs and GAGs lyases.  相似文献
