ABSTRACT: Lomax, M. The effect of three recovery protocols on blood lactate clearance after race-paced swimming. J Strength Cond Res 26(10): 2771-2776, 2012-The purpose of the present study was to assess the impact of 3 recovery protocols on blood lactate clearance after maximal intensity swimming. Thirty-three regional standard swimmers were tested throughout the course a year and were required to complete a race-paced 200-m swim in their main stroke or individual medley. After the race-paced swim, swimmers were assigned a self-paced continuous steady rate swim of 20 minutes (self-prescribed); a 20-minute coach-administered modified warm-up consisting of various swimming modes, intensities, and rest intervals (coach prescribed); or a 20-minute land-based recovery consisting of light-intensity walking, skipping, and stretching (land based). Blood lactate concentration was measured from the fingertip before and after the race-paced swim and after the recovery activity. The concentration of blood lactate was higher (p < 0.01) after race-paced swimming (range of 10.5-11.0 mmol·L) compared with baseline (range 1.3-1.4 mmol·L). However, there were no differences (p > 0.05) between the groups (recovery protocols) at these time points. Conversely, differences were observed between groups after the recovery activities (p < 0.01). Specifically, blood lactate concentration was higher after the land-based activity (3.7 ± 1.8 mmol·L) than either the self-prescribed (2.0 ± 1.2 mmol·L) or coach-prescribed (1.8 ± 0.9 mmol·L) swimming protocols. The results of the present study suggest that it does not matter whether a self-paced continuous steady rate swimming velocity or a swimming recovery consisting of various strokes, intensities, and rest intervals is adopted as a recovery activity. As both swimming recoveries removed more blood lactate than the land-based recovery, swimmers should therefore be advised to undertake a swimming-based recovery rather than a land-based recovery.  相似文献

The purpose of this research was to examine how an 11-day taper after an 8.5-week experimental training cycle affected lactate levels during maximal exercise, mean force, and performance in training swimmers, independent of shaving, psychological changes, and postcompetition effects. Fourteen competition swimmers with shaved legs and torsos were recruited from the S?o Paulo Aquatic Federation. The training cycle consisted of a basic training period (endurance and quality phases) of 8.5 weeks, with 5,800 m.d(-1) mean training volume and 6 d.wk(-1) frequency; and a taper period (TP) of 1.5 weeks' duration that incorporated a 48% reduction in weekly volume without altering intensity. Attained swimming force (SF) and maximal performance over 200-m maximal swim (Pmax) before and after taper were measured. After taper, SF and Pmax improved 3.6 and 1.6%, respectively (p < 0.05). There were positive correlations (p < 0.05) between SF and Pmax before (r = 0.86) and after (r = 0.83) the taper phase. Peak lactate concentrations after SF were unaltered before (6.79 +/- 1.2 mM) and after (7.15 +/- 1.8 mM) TP. Results showed that TP improved mean swimming velocity, but not in the same proportion as force after taper, suggesting that there are other factors influencing performance in faster swimming.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of 4 weeks of high-intensity vs. high-volume swim training on lactate threshold (LT) characteristics and performance. Thirteen untrained swimmers with a mean age of 19.0 ± 0.5 undertook an incremental swimming test before and after 4 weeks of training for the determination of LT. Performance was evaluated by a 50-m maximum freestyle test. The swimmers were assigned to 1 of each of 2 training groups. The high-intensity group (n = 6) focused on sprint training (SP) and swam a total of 1,808 ± 210 m. The high-volume group (n = 7) followed the same program as the SP group but swam an additional 1,100 m (38% more) of endurance swimming (SP + End). A training effect was evident in both groups as seen by the similar improvements in sprint performance of the 50-m maximum time (p < 0.01), peak velocity increases and the lower value of lactate at the individual LTs (p < 0.01). Lactate threshold velocity improved only in the SP + End group from 1.20 ± 0.12 m·s(-1) pretraining to 1.32 ± 0.12 m·s(-1) posttraining (p = 0.77, effect size = 1, p < 0.01), expressed by the rightward shifts of the individual lactate-velocity curves, indicating an improvement in the aerobic capacity. Peak lactate and lactate concentrations at LT did not significantly change. In conclusion, this study was able to demonstrate that 4 weeks of either high-intensity or high-volume training was able to demonstrate similar improvements in swimming performance. In the case of lack of significant changes in lactate profiling in response to high-intensity training, we could suggest a dissociation between the 2.  相似文献

A synchronized swimming team routine (TR) is composed of figures of varying degrees of difficulty. Swimmers able to perform these figures separately underwent a 5-week technical training programme (TTP) to assemble a TR. Little is known about the physiological responses to this kind of TTP. A group of 13 trained synchronized swimmers [mean age 14 (SD 1) years] were tested before and after a 5-week TTP. The TR lasted 5 min, and 45% of that time was spent underwater. The swimmers' technique scores in the TR improved significantly from 4.5 (SD 1.9) before to 5.8 (SD 2.3) points after the TTP (P < 0.01), but their swimming performances, peak oxygen uptake (VO2peak), blood lactate concentration, and heart rate measured during a 400-m swim were lower after the TTP. The improvement in the technique scores correlated negatively with the change in VO2peak (r = -0.57; P < 0.05). The greater the improvement in the technique score, the greater the decrease in VO2peak. The overall synchronized swimming skill was assessed by the best score the swimmers obtained in four to six competitions over a season. This score was related to the 400-m swimming performance, VO2peak, maximal distance covered in apnoea, and the breath-hold time. The 5-week TTP therefore improved technical performance during the TR without improving physiological, swimming or apnoea performances. However, the physiological profile of each swimmer was linked to the synchronized swimming skill.  相似文献

Exercise-induced inspiratory muscle fatigue (IMF) has been quantified for several sports. However, it is not yet known if, or to what extent, IMF is determined by the competition distance. The aim of the present study was to assess the influence of 3 different competitive front-crawl swimming race distances on the magnitude of IMF. Ten well-trained swimmers from a local swim team participated in the study and on separate days completed maximal 100-, 200-, and 400-m time trials (TTs). Before and after each trial, maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP) was measured and %IMF determined from pre- and post-time-trial differences in MIP. The heart rate (HR) and rate of perceived dyspnea (RPD) was also assessed. For all distances, posttrial MIP was lower than pretrial MIP, though this was only significant for 100 m (p < 0.05). There were no differences between distances for absolute posttrial MIP. The %IMF after the 100-m TT (8.2 ± 4.1%) was, however, significantly greater than the 400 m (4.9 ± 3.8%) TT (p < 0.05) but not 200-m TT. There were no differences between trials for HR or RPD (p > 0.05). There were no relationships between %IMF and mean pretrial MIP (r = -0.28, p > 0.05) or between %IMF and time for any TT (100 m, r = 0.25; 200 m, r = 0.34; 400 m r = 0.18; p > 0.05). The lack of difference between trials for posttrial absolute MIP suggests that race distance during swimming does not substantially influence the degree of IMF.  相似文献

This study examined the effect of simultaneous supplementation of creatine and sodium bicarbonate on consecutive maximal swims. Sixteen competitive male and female swimmers completed, in a randomized order, 2 different treatments (placebo and a combination of creatine and sodium bicarbonate) with 30 days of washout period between treatments in a double-blind crossover procedure. Both treatments consisted of placebo or creatine supplementation (20 g per day) in 6 days. In the morning of the seventh day, there was placebo or sodium bicarbonate supplementation (0.3 g per kg body weight) during 2 hours before a warm-up for 2 maximal 100-m freestyle swims that were performed with a passive recovery of 10 minutes in between. The first swims were similar, but the increase in time of the second versus the first 100-m swimming time was 0.9 seconds less (p < 0.05) in the combination group than in placebo. Mean blood pH was higher (p < 0.01-0.001) in the combination group than in placebo after supplementation on the test day. Mean blood pH decreased (p < 0.05) similarly during the swims in both groups. Mean blood lactate increased (p < 0.001) during the swims, but there were no differences in peak blood lactate between the combination group (14.9 +/- 0.9 mmol.L(-1)) and placebo (13.4 +/- 1.0 mmol.L(-1)). The data indicate that simultaneous supplementation of creatine and sodium bicarbonate enhances performance in consecutive maximal swims.  相似文献

Short duration repeated maximal efforts are often used in swimming training to improve lactate tolerance, which gives swimmers the ability to maintain a high work rate for a longer period of time. The aim of the study was to examine the kinematics of swimming and its relation to the changes in blood acid-base status and potassium level. Seven collegiate swimmers, with at least 6 years of training experience, volunteered to participate in the study. The test consisted of 8 x 25 m front crawl performed with maximum effort. The rest period between repetitions was set to five seconds. Blood samples were taken from the fingertip at rest, after warm-up and in the 3rd minute after completion of the test. The swimming was recorded with a video recorder, for later analysis of time, velocity and technique (stroke index). Based on the swimming velocity results, the obtained curve can be divided into rapid decrease of velocity and relatively stable velocities. The breaking point of repetition in swimming velocity was assumed as the swimming velocity threshold and it was highly correlated with the decrease of the blood acid-base status (pH r=0.82, BE r=0.87, HCO3 - r=0.76; p<0.05 in all cases). There was no correlation between stroke index or fatigue index and blood acid-base status. Analysis of the swimming speed in the 8 x 25 m test seems to be helpful in evaluation of lactate tolerance (anaerobic capacity) in collegiate swimmers.  相似文献

In this study we investigated the effect of oral contraceptive (OC) use (OCU) and non-use (OCNU) on growth hormone (GH) responses to exercise in the same females (n = 7, age 22-31 years) during the normal course of OC therapy. Continuous (60% maximum oxygen consumption, VO2max for 20 min) and intermittent exercise (>80% VO2max) protocols of equal total duration, and similar external work were performed during phases of OCNU (days 3-5 of the menstrual cycle) and OCU (days 7-11). Levels of GH, lactate, 17 beta-estradiol, and progesterone were measured. Lactate responses were significantly greater (P<0.05) during intermittent than continuous exercise, with no effect of OC use. However, significantly greater GH responses were found during the OCU phase than the OCNU phase in both the continuous (+94%) and intermittent (+250%) exercise protocols. Estradiol and progesterone levels increased significantly during exercise in all four conditions. We suggest that the increased GH responses observed during the OCU-phase were potentiated by the elevated levels levels of total estrogens (endogenous 17 beta-estradiol and exogenous ethinyl estradiol). It is suggested that training programs for female athletes could be timed in accordance with the menstrual cycle to benefit from an increased GH response to exercise during phases of OC use or the luteal phase of women not on OC therapy.  相似文献

Hormone and substrate responses to mild and heavy treadmill exercise were compared in women who used oral contraceptives (OC group; n = 7) and in normally menstruating women (control group; n = 8). Venous blood samples were obtained before exercise (-5 min), during exercise (15, 30, 45, and 60 min), and 30 min after exercise. All samples were analyzed for glucose, lactate, free fatty acids (FFA), glycerol, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), human growth hormone (hGH), cortisol, insulin, estradiol (E2), and progesterone (P). Substrate patterns during exercise were not altered by the phase of the menstrual cycle or OC usage. However, in the OC group the FFA concentrations were consistently higher during mild exercise and the glucose concentrations were lower at rest and during exercise than in the control group (P less than 0.05). No differences in lactate or glycerol responses were observed between the groups (P greater than 0.05). The responses of insulin and hGH to exercise were not related to the OC use per se but rather to the steroid status, either endogenous or exogenous. Specifically, during the steroid phases (OC use phase and luteal phase) 1) insulin concentrations were not quite as markedly reduced (i.e., 12% higher when luteal phase and OC usage phase data were combined; P less than 0.05), and 2) hGH concentrations at rest and during light exercise were higher in the OC group during the OC use phase (P less than 0.05). LH patterns were not affected by exercise (P greater than 0.05), but a slight decrease was found in FSH (P less than 0.05). Increments in P and E2 were observed in the control group in both the follicular and luteal phase (P less than 0.05), but much greater increments in P occurred in the luteal phase than in the follicular phase (P less than 0.05). In contrast to the control group, no increments in P, E2, or cortisol occurred in the OC users during exercise (P greater than 0.05). Therefore the new observations in this study are that 1) insulin and growth hormone respond in a complex manner during exercise with either the phase of the menstrual cycle or the phases of OC use and disuse and 2) the steroid concentrations (P, E2, cortisol) are increased in the controls but not in the OC users during exercise. The latter point suggests that normal steroid increments are due to an increased rate of secretion rather than a decrease in the hepatic clearance of these steroids.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 400 WORDS)  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of age on three blood lactate parameters following maximal sprint swimming. The parameters examined were maximal blood lactate concentration, time to reach maximal blood lactate concentration, and half recovery time to baseline lactate concentration. These parameters were examined in 16 male competitive masters swimmers (n = 4 for each age group: 25-35, 36-45, 46-55, and 56 plus years) during both passive and active recovery following a maximal 100 m freestyle sprint. Passive recovery consisted of 60 min sitting in a comfortable chair and active recovery consisted of a 20-min swim at a self-selected pace. Capillary blood samples were obtained every 2 min up to 10 min of recovery then at regular intervals to the end of the recovery period. Curves of blood lactate concentration against time were drawn and the three parameters determined for each condition for each subject. There were no significant differences between age groups in any of the lactate parameters examined. A significant difference (P less than 0.05) was noted in each of the parameters between active and passive recovery over all age groups. As expected, active recovery produced lower maximal blood lactate concentrations, lower time to maximal blood lactate values, and lower half recovery times. These data suggest that intensive swimming training may prevent or delay the decline with age in the physiological factors affecting blood lactate values following a maximal sprint swim. The effect of (a) increasing velocity and (b) added resistance was examined on the stroke (stroke length, stroke rate [SR]), coordination (index of coordination [IdC], propulsive phases), and force (impulse and peaks) parameters of 7 national-level front crawl swimmers (17.14 ± 2.73 years of swimming; 57.67 ± 1.62 seconds in the 100-m freestyle). The additional resistance was provided by a specially designed parachute. Parachute swimming (PA) and free-swimming (F) conditions were compared at 5 velocities per condition. Video footage was used to calculate the stroke and coordination parameters, and sensors allowed the determination of force parameters. The results showed that (a) an increase in velocity (V) led to increases in SR, IdC, propulsive phase duration, and peak propulsive force (p < 0.05), but no significant change in force impulse per cycle, whatever the condition (PA or F); and (b) in PA conditions, significant increases in the IdC, propulsive phase duration, and force impulse and a decrease in SR were recorded at high velocities (p < 0.05). These results indicated that, in the F condition, swimmers adapted to the change in velocity by modifying stroke and coordination rather than force parameters, whereas the PA condition enhanced the continuity of propulsive action and force development. Added resistance, that is, "parachute training," can be used for specific strength training purposes as long as swimming is performed near maximum velocity.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: Di Michele, R, Gatta, G, Di Leo, A, Cortesi, M, Andina, F, Tam, E, Da Boit, M, and Merni, F. Estimation of the anaerobic threshold from heart rate variability in an incremental swimming test. J Strength Cond Res 26(11): 3059-3066, 2012-This study aimed to evaluate, in swimming, the agreement between the anaerobic threshold (AT) as determined from the analysis of blood lactate concentration ([La]) and from a new method based on the heart rate (HR) variability (HRV). Fourteen high-level swimmers completed an incremental 7 × 200-m front crawl test, during which the HRV was measured continuously and [La] was collected after each step. To individuate the AT, the trends of the high-frequency HRV spectral power (HFPOW) and of the fraction of HFPOW relative to the respiratory sinus arrhythmia (HFPOW-RSA) were analyzed. In all the subjects, an abrupt increase of both HFPOW and HFPOW-RSA was observed and associated with the AT. The AT parameters determined, respectively, from [La] and HFPOW-RSA were similar (p > 0.05) and highly correlated (HR: 182.0 ± 8.1 vs. 181.1 ± 8.2 b·min, r = 0.93, 95% limits of agreement [LoA]: -6.7 to 4.9 b·min; velocity: 1.47 ± 0.11 vs. 1.47 ± 0.11 m·s, r = 0.98, 95% LoA: -0.05 to 0.05 m·s). Instead, the AT HR and velocity obtained from HFPOW (179.2 ± 8.4 b·min; 1.45 ± 0.11 m·s) were correlated to the corresponding parameters determined from [La] (HR: r = 0.84; velocity: r = 0.94) but underestimated them slightly (95% LoA: -11.9 to 6.3 b·min and -0.11 to 0.05 m·s). These results demonstrate that the AT can be assessed from the HRV in swimming, providing an important testing tool for coaches. Furthermore, using the actual respiratory spectral component, rather than the total HF spectral power, allows us to obtain a more accurate estimate of AT parameters.  相似文献

Radioimmunoassay was used to study the effect of restricted motor activity on circadian rhythms of blood plasma sexual steroids and cortisol in female Papio hamadryas during different phases of the menstrual cycle. Instact animals manifested clear-cut circadian rhythms of the testosterone and cortisol content during both the phases and those of estradiol and progesterone during the follicular phase of the cycle. Two-week immobilization did not produce any changes in the general pattern of circadian rhythms of cortisol and testosterone but led to a decrease in their mean daily concentrations, with that decrease being more pronounced for testosterone of females immobilized during the luteal phase. The authors established unbalance of sexual steroids with a dramatic fall of the mean daily concentrations of estradiol and progesterone and desynchronism of their circadian rhythms regardless of the cycle phase at the moment of immobilization. The mechanisms responsible for alterations in circadian rhythms of sexual steroids in hypokinetic females are discussed.  相似文献

This study was undertaken to determine whether the resisted-sprint in overstrength (OSt) or the assisted-sprint in overspeed (OSp) could be efficient training methods to increase 100-m front crawl performance. Thirty-seven (16 men, 21 women) competition-level swimmers (mean +/- SD: age 17.5 +/- 3.5 years, height 173 +/- 14 cm, weight 63 +/- 14 kg) were randomly divided into 3 groups: OSt, OSp, and control (C). All swimmers trained 6 days per week for 3 weeks, including 3 resisted or assisted training sessions per week for the groups OSt and OSp respectively. Elastic tubes were used to generate swimming overstrength and overspeed. Three 100-m events were performed before, during, and after the training period. Before each 100-m event, strength of the elbow flexors and extensors was measured with an isokinetic dynamometer. Stroke rate and stroke length were evaluated using the video-recorded 100-m events. In the OSt group, elbow extensor strength, swimming velocity, and stroke rate significantly increased (p < 0.05), while stroke length remained unchanged after the 3-week training period. In the OSp group, stroke rate significantly increased (p < 0.05) and stroke length significantly decreased (p < 0.05) without changes in swimming velocity. No significant variations in the C group were observed. Both OSt and OSp proved to be more efficient than the traditional training program. However, the OSt training program had a larger impact on muscle strength, swimming performance, and stroke technique than the OSp program.  相似文献

A sustained volley of high-frequency pulses of GnRH secretion is a fundamental step in the sequence of neuroendocrine events leading to ovulation during the breeding season of sheep. In the present study, the pattern of GnRH secretion into pituitary portal blood was examined in ewes during both the breeding and anestrous seasons, with a focus on determining whether the absence of ovulation during the nonbreeding season is associated with the lack of a sustained increase in pulsatile GnRH release. During the breeding season, separate groups (n = 5) of ovary-intact ewes were sampled during the midluteal phase of the estrous cycle and following the withdrawal of progesterone (removal of progesterone implants) to synchronize onset of the follicular phase. During the nonbreeding season, another two groups (n = 5) were sampled either in the absence of hormonal treatments or following withdrawal of progesterone. Pituitary portal and jugular blood for measurement of GnRH and LH, respectively, were sampled every 10 min for 6 h during the breeding season or for 12 h in anestrus. During the breeding season, mean frequency of episodic GnRH release was 1.4 pulses/6 h in luteal-phase ewes; frequency increased to 7.8 pulses/6 h during the follicular phase (following progesterone withdrawal). In marked contrast, GnRH pulse frequency was low (mean less than 1 pulse/6 h) in both groups of anestrous ewes (untreated and following progesterone withdrawal), but GnRH pulse amplitude exceeded that in both luteal and follicular phases of the estrous cycle.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

The purpose of this investigation was to compare the blood lactate concentration ([La]), stroke distance (D(s)), and swim index (SI) during an incremental swim test (IST) in elite swimmers who had a loss in mobility (LM) (n = 6) or who had full mobility (FM) (n = 5) of the lower limbs. The IST consisted of 5 repeats of either 100 or 200 m front crawl depending upon the ability level of the swimmer. The [La] and heart rate measured during the IST showed no significant differences (p > 0.05). However, velocity (V(s)) and D(s) were all significantly lower (p < 0.01) during the IST. SI was significantly (p < 0.01) lower during repeats 1 to 3 and 5, but not repeat 4. These data indicate that the [La] response to incremental exercise is similar during incremental front crawl activity in swimmers suffering from loss of lower limb mobility. However, a critical V(s) is reached in LM swimmers where swimming efficiency is optimal compared with FM swimmers.  相似文献

This study examined the relationships between selected kinematic and physiological parameters and their influence on performance during incremental exercise in elite swimmers competing at the international level. Eleven men and ten women (all specialized in 200-m events) performed an incremental 7 x 200-m test in their specialized stroke. Stroke rate (SR), stroke length (SL), velocity (V), and blood lactate concentration (BLa) were measured for each 200 m. In addition to the cross-sectional group design, the longitudinal performance of a male swimmer was evaluated by 4 tests during a period of 20 weeks. Stroke rate increased and SL decreased with V, regardless of the age, stroke, or gender of the swimmer. Statistically significant correlations were found between SR and V (p < 0.01; r = 0.66 to 0.99), SR and SL (p < 0.01; r = -0.78 to -0.99), SL and V (except for women's freestyle and breaststroke) (p < 0.01; r = -0.67 to -0.98), and BLa and V (p < 0.01; r = 0.7 to 0.96). Changes in SR and SL were not affected by changes in BLa. Similar velocities were produced with different combinations of SR and SL. The fastest times reached in the test were generally slower than expected, and the performance in the test was not associated with competition performance. The case study revealed similar results to those of the group. The test used in this study was informative with respect to identifying the most economical and effective stroke kinematics combination for slow to submaximal velocities. It is possible that the swimming speeds were not maximal in the final 200-m swim because of cumulative fatigue, which is a major limitation for assessing race pace. An additional test that produces velocities similar to those used in competitions would be more useful for the purpose of providing optimal kinematic information specific to racing speeds, which would facilitate performance improvement through regular monitoring in training.  相似文献

The effects of menstrual cycle (days 1, 14, 21) on sex steroids and psychophysiological measures were studied in 5 normally cycling women not receiving oral contraceptives. Testing consisted of three 1/2-hour sessions. Time of day and order effects were controlled. Nonspecific skin conductance responses, heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood pressure (BP), and mean pressure were recorded in 5-minute blocks. After each test, 10 cc of venous blood was drawn and the serum was analyzed in duplicate via RIA procedures for levels of estrone, estradiol, testosterone, and progesterone. Significant differences were found over days for estone, estradiol, and progesterone but not for testosterone. Systolic BP also showed significant variation with day of cycle. Significantly more nonspecific SCRs occurred furing the luteal phase than during the other 2 phases. Results indicate that there are significant differences in systolic BP, diastolic BP, heart rate, and skin conductance responses which are associated with varying levels of estrogen and progesterone which occur during the menstrual cycle. Since actual measurement of hormones was made, these results can be clearly linked to different hormonal concentrations, raher than being merely inferred as was done in previous studies.  相似文献

Controlled frequency breathing (CFB) is a training technique used by swimmers in an effort to simulate high-intensity workloads by limiting oxygen availability to the body and stimulating anaerobic metabolism. During CFB, a swimmer voluntarily restricts breathing, which, theoretically, limits oxygen availability and stimulates anaerobic metabolism. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of CFB on blood lactate and metabolic responses during graded increases in swimming intensity. A free swimming (FS) protocol was used to determine blood lactate and heart rate (HR) responses to CFB, while a tethered swimming (TS) protocol was used to determine blood lactate, HR, and ventilatory responses to CFB. The subjects swam four 3-minute trials at workloads of 55, 65, 75, and 85% of peak intensity during both protocols. A total of 46 competitive collegiate swimmers participated in the study. Thirty-four subjects (14 men and 20 women) completed the FS protocol, and 12 subjects (7 men and 5 women) completed the TS protocol. CFB reduced ventilation and Vo(2) (p < 0.05) during the TS protocol and reduced HR (p < 0.05) during the FS protocol when compared to normal breathing. However, CFB did not alter blood lactate concentrations for either protocol (p > 0.05). Our findings demonstrate that although CFB does not alter the blood lactate response to graded increases in swimming intensity, it appears to reduce the ventilatory and HR responses to exercise. Thus, swim coaches can use CFB at moderate intensities to simulate high-intensity training but should consider adjusting HR training zones to reflect the reduction in HR associated with reduced ventilation.  相似文献

不同游泳速度条件下瓦氏黄颡幼鱼的有氧和无氧代谢反应   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
在(25±1)℃的条件下,测定瓦氏黄颡(Pelteobagrus vachelli Richardson)幼鱼体重(4.34±0.13)g的临界游泳速度(Ucrit),然后分别以临界游泳速度的不同百分比(20、40、60、80、100%Ucrit)将实验鱼分为5个速度处理组,另外设置静止对照组和高速力竭对照组。处理组实验鱼在不同游泳速度下分别游泳20min,在此过程中测定并计算运动代谢率(Activity metabolic rate,AMR),随后测定肌肉、血液和肝脏中的乳酸、糖原和葡萄糖含量。结果显示:实验鱼的绝对临界游泳速度为(48.28±1.02)cm/s,相对临界游泳速度为(6.78±0.16)BL/s;随着游泳速度的提高AMR显著增加(Pcrit时肌乳酸和血乳酸含量显著高于80%Ucrit的水平(P0.05);100%Ucrit时肝糖原含量显著低于40%Ucrit的水平(P0.05)。经计算瓦氏黄颡幼鱼到达临界游泳速度时的无氧代谢功率比例仅为11.0%,表明其游泳运动主要以有氧代谢供能;实验鱼的无氧代谢大约在80%Ucrit才开始启动,与其他鱼类比较启动时间较晚,说明其游泳运动对无氧代谢的依赖程度较低。研究提示瓦氏黄颡幼鱼是一种有氧运动能力较强的鱼类,这一能量代谢特征可能与提高其生存适合度有关。    相似文献
