In Lymnea stagnalis (F1 generation) carbaryl induces a decrease of fecundity for a given age, correlated with the concentration; this decrease is due to a delay in growth. With ppm of lindane a diminution of fecundity is observed which is more prominent with 2 ppm. The number of egg capsules and the number of eggs per capsule are decreased. In F1 intoxicated snails, the degree of the intoxication of their parents seems to play an important part. When the intoxication is stopped, the reversible character is demonstrated.All these chronic intoxication experiments show that lindane is more injurious than carbaryl for the freshwater snails studied.  相似文献

A chronic intoxication with fenthion was induced in adult and young snails. The fecundity was only reduced by the concentratration of 4 ppm in adults. In the snails intoxicated by fenthion from hatching the shell growth and the fecundity were both reduced from a concentration of 2 ppm. Above 2.15 ppm the rearing of young snails was not possible.

The aerobic biodegradation of lindane (γ-hexachlorocyclohexane) by a consortium of acclimated bacteria from sediment at a polluted site on the Suquia River, Cordoba, Argentina, is reported. The bacteria were acclimated for 30 days under aerobic conditions, using a minimal culture medium containing lindane (0.034 mM) as sole carbon source. Growth of the bacterial consortium decreased at a lindane concentration of 1.03 mM and was totally inhibited at 2.41 mM. The consortium showed initial lindane degradation rates of 4.92×10−3, 11.0×10−3 and 34.8×10−3 mM h−1 when exposed to lindane concentrations of 0.069, 0.137 and 0.412 mM, respectively. Chloride concentration increased during aerobic biodegradation, indicating lindane mineralization. A metabolite identified as γ-2,3,4,5,6-pentachlorocyclohexene appeared during the first 24 h of biodegradation. Four different bacteria, identified as Sphingobacterium spiritivorum, Ochrobactrum anthropi, Bosea thiooxidans and Sphingomonas paucimobilis, were isolated. Pure strains of B. thiooxidans and S. paucimobilis degraded lindane after 3 days of aerobic incubation. This is the first report of lindane biodegradation by B. thiooxidans.  相似文献

Résumé Nous avons étudiés les effets toxiques de l'accumulation de l'étain et du plomb sur les G. pulex d'eau douce et les G. locusta (Crustacés: Amphipodes) marin.Les expériences ont été faites dans des solutions de métaux d'eau douce et d'eau marine. Les concentrations de métal utilisées sont de 10 ppm, de 1 ppm et de 0.1 ppm. Les résultats nous ont montrés que les solutions de plomb sont plus toxique que les solutions de l'étain et les G. locusta sont plus sensibles que les G. pulex.Les valeurs de l'accumulation de métal ont été determinées par spectrographie des rayons X. Pour les deux espèces, une grande accumulation d'étain a été rencontrée dans le système digestif, la cuticule et l'hemolymphe et une accumulation de plomb a été rencontré dans le système digestif et la cuticule.
The effects of tin (SnCl4.5H2O) and lead [Pb(NO3)2] on Gammarus pulex (L.) and Gammarus locusta (L.) have been studied. Three differents solutions (10 ppm, 1 ppm, 0.1 ppm) were applied for two metals. Lead was found to be more toxic than tin. The residues of metals in the organes and tissues of two species were determined by X ray spectrophotometry.

Résumé Des papillons de carpocapse Cydia pomonella L., mâles et femelles séparés, sont soumis au contact des résidus secs du CGA 184'699, un inhibiteur de croissance d'insectes (ICI) et du fenoxycarb, un régulateur de croissance d'insectes (RCI). Ils sont ensuite regroupés dans boîtes non traitées pour l'accouplement et la ponte. La fécondité du carpocapse n'est pratiquement pas affectée par ce conditionnement mais sa fertilité diminue avec l'augmentation de la concentration des produits et avec la durée d'exposition. Avec le CGA 184'699, l'efficacité ovicide induite atteint environ 50% suite à un contact de trois jours avec les résidus d'un traitement à 100 mg/l, alors qu'avec le fenoxycarb elle s'élève à 87% dans les mêmes conditions. Avec le CGA 184'699, seul le contact des femelles avec les résidus provoque cette réduction de fertilité, alors que le fenoxycarb agit sur les deux sexes.
Summary Codling moth, Cydia pomonella L., males and females were exposed separately to contact with dry residues of CGA 184'699 an insect growth inhibitor (IGI) and fenoxycarb, an insect growth regulator (IGR), The sexes were then grouped together in non treated boxes for mating and egglaying. Fecundity of codling moth was little affected by this treatment but its fertility decreased with increases in the concentration of products and the duration of contact. Induced ovicidal efficacy was about 50% after three days contact with the residues of a 100 mg (a.i.)/l application of CGA 184'699, whereas the same conditions led to about 87% efficacy with fenoxycarb. With CGA 184'699, only contact by females affected egg eclosion whereas fenoxycarb acted on both sexes.

Birch seedlings (Betula pendula) were grown for four months in a greenhouse at three nutrient levels (fertilization of 0, 100 and 500 kg ha-1 monthy) and at four CO2 concentrations (350, 700, 1050 and 1400 ppm). The effect of CO2 concentration on the biomass production depended on the nutrient status. When mineralization of the soil material was the only source of nutrients (0 kg ha-1), CO2 enhancement reduced the biomass production slightly, whereas the highest production increase occurred at a fertilization of 100 kg ha-1, being over 100% between 350 and 700 ppm CO2. At 500 kg ha-1 the production increase was smaller, and the production decreased beyond a CO2 concentration of 700 ppm. The CO2 concentration had a slight effect on the biomass distribution, the leaves accounting for the highest proportion at the lowest CO2 concentration (350 ppm). An increase in nutrient status led to a longer growth period and increased the nutrient concentrations in the plants, but the CO2 concentration had no effect on the growth rhythm and higher CO2 reduced the nutrient concentrations.  相似文献

Lindane or γ- hexachlorocyclohexane (γ-HCH) is a chlorinated pesticide and its toxic effects on biota necessitate its removal. Microbial degradation is an important process for pesticide bioremediation and the role of soil fungi in recycling of organic matter prompted us to study the biodegradation of lindane using fungi. This study aims at enrichment, isolation and screening of soil fungi capable of metabolizing lindane. Two Fusarium species (F. poae and F. solani) isolated from the pesticide contaminated soil showed better growth on the plates supplemented with lindane as a sole carbon source, when compared with the growth performance of other fungal isolates from the same contaminated soil. However, ANOVA revealed a significant difference in fungal biomass production in both F. poae (F = 22.02; N = 15; P < 0.001) and F. solani (F = 268.75; N = 15; P < 0.001) across different lindane concentrations (0–600 μg ml−1). Growth of both Fusarium sp. was maximum at a lindane concentration of 100 μg ml−1, while minimum at 600 μg ml−1 concentrations. Results on the time dependent release of chlorine by the Fusarium strains in the presence of various concentration of lindane showed the highest mineralization of the pesticide on 10th day of incubation. Time dependent variations in the release of chlorine from 1st to 10th day by both the selected fungal strains were found to be statistically significant. A significant positive relationship exists between fungal biomass increase and chlorine release existed for both F. solani (R2 = 0.960) and F. poae (R2 = 0.628). The results of gas chromatograph analysis of γ- HCH confirmed the biodegradation and utilization of γ- HCH by F. poae and F. solani. The data on lindane degradation by the two fungal strains demonstrated that the biodegradation of lindane by F. solani (59.4%) was slightly higher than that by the F. poae (56.7%).  相似文献

Zearalenone, a macrocyclic lactone, shows a limited antibacterial activity which can be demonstrated in Grampositive spore-forming bacteria. In a sensitive Bacillus thuringiensis (Berliner), the mycotoxin disturbs various bacterial metabolisms: physiological damages (decreased growth rate, inhibition of sporulation and enzyme synthesis) and cellular alterations (filamentous forms or snake-cells) are noted. On the other hand, although zearalenone has been found to give a positive response in the presumptive screening test for mutagens measured by DNA-attacking ability on Bacillus subtilis, this mycotoxin failed to demonstrate mutagenicity in routine test using liver homogenate and Salmonella typhimurium strains.

Résumé La réinsertion de vitroplants d'Erica × darleyensis est suivie en chambre climatisée et sur perlite arrosée de solutions nutritives, en analysant pendant deux mois le développement des plantes. Quatre solutions nutritives ont été testées. Seule en varie les concentrations (A, A/2, A/4 et A/10); le rapport entre les différents éléments reste constant. Les vitroplants issus d'un milieu de multiplication gélosé A/2, transplantés sur les milieux de réinsertion subisent un choc nutritionnel: même les vitroplants transférésin vivo sur solution dont la concentration en macroéléments est le double de celle du milieu de multiplicationin vitro, enregistrent une diminution des teneurs minérales. L'influence de la nature des substrats de ces différents milieux (gélose ou perlite) semble prédominante à cet égard. Des milieux de réinsertion moyennement concentrés (A/2 ou A/4) constituent les meilleures références pour la précocité et l'optimisation de la production des rameaux. La production des rameaux est reliée à certains paramètres internes nutritionnels tels que: rapports élevés K+/(Ca2++Mg2+) et Mn2+/Fe3+, et de hautes teneurs en azote et phosphore.

Development ofErica × darleyensis vitroplants was studied on perlite nutritive media in growth chamber conditions, during two months. Four nutritive solutions were examined. Only solution concentrations vary (solutions A, A/2, A/4 and A/10); the ratio between nutrients remains constant. Vitroplants from a A/2 agar-agar propagation medium, transferred on perlite media underwent a nutritional stress: even vitroplants transferred on a perlite medium whose concentration is twice that of the propagation medium, show a decrease in mineral content. The influence of the kinds of substrates (agar-agar or perlite) seems to be prevailing in this respect. Perlite media irrigated with mildly concentrated solutions (A/2 or A/4) are the best references for earliness and optimization of ramification. Branch production is correlated to internal nutritional parameters such as: high K+/(Ca2++Mg2+) and Mn2+/Fe3+), a high nitrogen and phosphorus contents.

Mineralization of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) by two Alcaligenes eutrophus strains and one Pseudomonas cepacia strain containing the 2,4-D degrading plasmids pJP4 or pRO101 (=pJP4::Tn1721) was tested in 50 g (wet wt) samples of non-sterile soil. Mineralization was measured as 14C-CO2evolved during degradation of uniformly-ring-labelled 14C-2,4-D. When the strains were inoculated to a level of approximately 108 CFU/g soil, between 20 and 45% of the added 2,4-D (0.05 ppm, 10 ppm or 500 ppm) was mineralized within 72 h. Mineralization of 0.05 ppm and 10 ppm, 2,4-D by the two A. eutrophus strains was identical and rapid whereas mineralization by P. cepacia DBO1(pRO101) occurred more slowly. In contrast, mineralization of 500 ppm 2,4-D by the two A. eutrophus strains was very slow whereas mineralization by P. cepacia DBO1 was more rapid. Comparison of 2,4-D mineralization at different levels of inoculation with P. cepacia DBO1(pRO101) (6×104, 6×106 and 1×108 CFU/g soil) revealed that the maximum mineralization rate was reached earlier with the high inoculation levels than with the low level. The kinetics of mineralization were evaluated by nonlinear regression analysis using five different models. The linear or the logarithmic form of a three-half-order model were found to be the most appropriate models for describing 2,4-D mineralization in soil. Lindane is a notorious organochlorine pesticide due to its high toxicity, persistence in the environment and its tendency to bioaccumulate. A yeast strain isolated from sorghum cultivation field was able to use lindane as carbon and energy source under aerobic conditions. With molecular techniques, it was identified and named as Rhodotorula strain VITJzN03. The effects of nutritional and environmental factors on yeast growth and the biodegradation of lindane was investigated. The maximum production of yeast biomass along with 100 % lindane mineralization was noted at an initial lindane concentration of 600 mg l?1 within a period of 10 days. Lindane concentration above 600 mg l?1 inhibited the growth of yeast in liquid medium. A positive relationship was noted between the release of chloride ions and the increase of yeast biomass as well as degradation of lindane. The calculated degradation rate and half life of lindane were found to be 0.416 day?1 and 1.66 days, respectively. The analysis of the metabolites using GC–MS identified the formation of seven intermediates including γ-pentachlorocyclohexane(γ-PCCH), 1,3,4,6-tetrachloro-1,4-cyclohexadiene(1,4-TCCHdiene), 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene (1,2,4 TCB), 1,4-dichlorobenzene (1,4 DCB), chloro-cis-1,2-dihydroxycyclohexadiene (CDCHdiene), 3-chlorocatechol (3-CC) and maleylacetate (MA) derivatives indicating that lindane degradation follows successive dechlorination and oxido-reduction. Based on the results of the present study, the possible pathway for lindane degradation by Rhodotorula sp. VITJzN03 has been proposed. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on lindane degradation by yeast which can serve as a potential agent for in situ bioremediation of medium to high level lindane-contaminated sites.  相似文献

Résumé La localisation ultrastructurale des polysaccharides paritétaux de Candida albicans a été réalisée par utilisation de Concanavaline A sur sections ultrafines de résine hydrosoluble (glycol méthacrylate). Les sites récepteurs de la lectine sont révélés en incubant successivement les coupes avec de la péroxydase, puis un mélange 3-3 diaminobenzidine-H2O2. Cette méthode a permis de localiser les mannanes, qui sont les seuls polysaccharides pariétaux de C. albicans susceptibles de réagir avec la Concanavaline A. Deux couches continues réactives ont été ainsi mises en évidence à la périphérie de la paroi des blastospores. Les résultats sont discutés en fonction de ceux obtenus par une méthode différente de mise en évidence des polysaccharides (PATAg).

Acute toxicity and bioconcentration capacities of lindane and deltamethrin were studied in Rana temporaria tadpoles and in mosquitofish. These studies show that the toxicity of deltamethrin is about 100 to 1 000 times greater than that of lindane and bioconcentration factors are very different for these two insecticides. The bioconcentration factor of lindane, a stable chemical, low volatility, hydrophobic and a poorly metabolized molecule is considerable in either static or flow through contamination systems. For deltamethrin, an quickly metabolized molecule, this factor is weak or null. Moreover a comparison of various methods of contamination (static or flow through systems) showed that the experimental conditions of exposure to the insecticide strongly influence the concentration in the tested species.

Seedlings of European white birch (Betula pendula Roth) were grown in growth chambers for one growth season under four carbon dioxide regimes (350, 700, 1050 and 1400 ppm) and at three fertilization levels (0, 100 and 500 kg ha–1 monthly). The soluble carbohydrates and secondary phenolics in the leaves and stems were analysed. It was found that fertilizer addition reduced the amounts of glucose and fructose while sucrose remained almost unaffected. The sugar content of leaves increased at 700 ppm and 1050 ppm of CO2 and decreased at the highest CO2 concentration (1400 ppm). The amounts of proanthocyanidins and flavonoids in leaves decreased with fertilization addition and increased with CO2 enrichment. The production of simple phenolic glucosides varied according to the fertilization and CO2 treatments. The triterpenoid content of stems seemed to increase with fertilization and CO2-addition. Our results indicate that the production of phytochemicals in the birch seedlings is very sensitive to both fertilization and CO2 addition, which is in agreement with earlier studies, and thus provide some support for the hypothesis of carbon allocation to plant defence when there is an excess of carbon and nutrient. The considerable variation in the production of secondary components may indicate that the synthesis of these defensive metabolites can be regulated by a plant to certain extent, depending on the ability of the plant to acclimate to changes in the physical environment.  相似文献

The effect of growing Sesamum indicum L. on the dissipation of lindane (gamma-HCH) was studied in spiked soil. For this, S. indicum was grown with four different concentrations of lindane (5, 10, 15, and 20 microg g(-1)). Plant growth, yield, photosynthetic pigments, soluble protein, microbial biomass carbon, lindane uptake, residual lindane concentration in soil and percentage dissipation of lindane from soil were analyzed at 25, 90, and 124 d. The accumulation of lindane in test plants was linearly related to the soil concentration (r2 = 0.897-0.979). At maturity, the accumulation of lindane in S. indicum grown with four spiked concentrations reached up to 7.98, 13.72, 23.71, and 33.29 microg g(-1) dry matter, respectively. There was a marked difference in the dissipation of lindane in vegetated and non-vegetated soils (p < 0.01). After final harvesting, the residual lindane concentrations in four spiked concentrations were reduced by 77.56, 70.12, 62.51, and 58.7%, respectively. Agronomic practice for the onsite application of this species is discussed. Based on the present study, it was calculated that S. indicum could accumulate 2237-2611 mg lindane per acre after 124 d cultivation. S. indicum could thus be used for the phytoremediation of lindane contaminated soil.  相似文献

For the larvae of the ephemeron Cloeon, our studies of acute toxicity show that the degradation products of fenthion are more toxic than the insecticide itself.Doses of fenthion and lindane, responsible of a hight mortality, lead to a decrease in the moulting frequency of these larvae. A mixture of herbicides and degradation products of fenthion gave different results.

The 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) degrading pseudomonad, Pseudomonas cepacia DBO1(pRO101), was inoculated at approximately 107 CFU/g into sterile and non-sterile soil amended with 0, 5 or 500 ppm 2,4-D and the survival of the strain was studied for a period of 44 days. In general, the strain survived best in sterile soil. When the sterile soil was amended with 2,4-D, the strain survived at a significantly higher level than in non-amended sterile soil. In non-sterile soil either non-amended or amended with 5 ppm 2,4-D the strain died out, whereas with 500 ppm 2,4-D the strain only declined one order of magnitude through the 44 days.The influence of 0,0.06, 12 and 600 ppm 2,4-D on short-term (48 h) survival of P. cepacia DBO1(pRO101) inoculated to a level of 6×104, 6×106 or 1×108 CFU/g soil was studied in non-sterile soil. Both inoculum level and 2,4-D concentration were found to have a positive influence on numbers of P. cepacia DBO1(pRO101). At 600 ppm 2,4-D growth was significant irrespective of the inoculation level, and at 12 ppm growth was stimulated at the two lowest inocula levels. P. cepacia DBO1(pRO101) was able to survive for 15 months in sterile buffers kept at room temperature. Summary Some soil and plant test methods were evaluated for predicting response of soybean crop (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) to S application in vertisols. Morgan's reagent, 500 ppm P containing Ca(H2PO4)2.H2O and KH2PO4 solutions, 0.5N NH4OAc+0.25N HOAc and 0.15% CaCl2 were found to be suitable extractants for measuring available soil S. The critical limits of extractable S were 9.0 ppm by Morgan's reagent, 10.0 ppm by phosphate solutions, 8.0 ppm by 0.5N NH4OAc +0.25N HOAc and 14.0 ppm by 0.15% CaCl2. Morgan's reagent was regarded as superior to other soil test methods in view of its high relationship with S uptake by plants, A values and relative yield. Critical S concentration in soybean plants varied with age. It was 0.15% and 0.185% for 36 and 60 days old plants, respectively. The critical N/S ratio on the other hand appeared to be constant at about 16.5 during vegetative growth period. Constancy of critical N/S ratio in plants was attributed to the near constancy of N/S ratio in plant proteins. There was highly significant relationship between response of soybean to S and to N, supporting the conclusion of some earlier workers that any soil showing large responses to N may not be supplying adequate S from the mineralization of soil organic matter.  相似文献

Summary The effect of three pesticidesviz, simazine, lindane and ceresan upto 100-fold of field application was studied on organic matter mineralization as well as on nitrification rates in Delhi alluvial soil. The normal rate of simazine (2 ppm) did not influence CO2 evolution but higher concentrations suppressed it. Lindane and ceresan inhibited CO2 production from soil by normal concentrations but the same CO2 production was enhanced in berseem roots treated soil upto 10 ppm of ceresan.The nitrification of ammonium sulphate in soil due to these pesticides was impaired significantly for varying periods. The inhibitory effect of higher concentrations was marked only upto 3 weeks, subsequently the rate of nitrification was restored. Among the nitrifiers, Nitrobacter were more susceptible as compared to Nitrosomonas.  相似文献

Bruchidius atrolineatus (Pic) présente en zone sahélienne une diapause reproductrice durant la saison sèche et une partie de la saison des pluies. Les femelles diapausantes ne produisent pas de vitellogénine et le germarium des ovarioles est seul développé. Chez les mâles la spermatogenèse est très ralentie et les glandes annexes sont inactives. Lorsque les insectes diapausants sont placés en présence d'inflorescences de Vigna unguiculata Walp, leurs organes reproducteurs deviennent fonctionnels après un temps de latence de 15 à 20 jours. Il n'y a par contre aucune levée de la diapause chez des bruches placées en présence de gousses sèches de V. unguiculata dans une atmosphère saturée. Des informations sensorielles issues des pièces florales ou (et) des facteurs nutritionnels sans doute liés a la consommation de nectar semblent être à l'origine de cette levée de la diapause. Le pollen fort peu consommé n'a par contre aucun rôle. Cette régulation du cycle reproducteur de B. atrolineatus par les inflorescences de V. unguiculata permet l'émission des oeufs dès que les gousses commencent à se former à la fin de la saison des pluies.
Summary Bruchidius atrolineatus (Pic) is a widely distributed bruchid in the Sahelian zone which shows a reproductive diapause during the dry season and part of the rainy season. Diapausing females do not produce vitellogenin and their ovaries are reduced to the germarium. Spermatogenesis is very much reduced and male accessory glands are inactive. When these insects were placed in the presence of inflorescences of Vigna unguiculata which were renewed daily, the reproductive diapause of both males and females was interrupted after 15–20 days. Vitellogenesis occurred in the females and spermatogenesis increased in the males whilst their accessory glands became functional. When diapausing bruchids, found in stores of on V. unguiculata seeds during the dry season, were placed near the host plant's inflorescences, diapause was also terminated. In all cases, diapause was not interrupted when the insects were offered dry pods of V. unguiculata in a water-saturated atmosphere. The pollen, which is hardly eaten by this bruchid, did not seem to stimulate termination of diapause. Sensory stimulations derived from the flowers or/and nutritional factors may be the cause of the development of the reproductive organs. After termination of the diapause the males showed normal sexual activity whereas female fecundity was rather low, at least in our experimental conditions. This type of reproductive regulation allows this sahelian bruchid to resume its sexual activity when the host plant's flowers appear in the field at the end of the rainy season. Then the beetles lay their eggs on the pods as soon as the pods are developed.
