本研究在室内评价了在济宁采集的捕食性刘氏中剑水蚤单用及与球形芽孢杆菌(B.s.)或苏云金杆菌以色列变种(B.t.i.)合用对蚊幼虫的控制效果。在室内,刘氏中剑水蚤对白蚊伊蚊Ⅰ龄幼虫的捕食效果好于对中华按蚊和淡色库蚊幼虫的效果。蚊笼模拟试验表明,刘氏中剑水蚤可分别于9、10和7周内消灭淡色库蚊、中华按蚊和白蚊伊蚊的幼虫种群。该剑水蚤增长速率快,大量培养经济易行。现场试验证明,刘氏中剑水蚤虽可在蚊虫孳生地存活时间长于蚊虫季节,但单用该剑水蚤不能象化学杀虫剂一样快速完全地控制三种蚊虫。刘氏中剑水蚤与B.s.或B.t.i.合用,应用刘氏中剑水蚤的长持效和生物杀虫剂的速效,取得了高效、持久的防治效果。因此二者合用可用于蚊虫防治并可作为蚊虫综合防治的一个组成部分。  相似文献

In laboratory bioassays we tested the predatory capacity of the copepod Mesocyclops annulatus on Aedes aegypti and Culex pipiens larvae. A single adult female of M. annulatus caused 51.6% and 52.3% mortality of 50 first instar larvae of Ae. aegypti and Cx. pipiens respectively, in a 72 h test period. When alternative food was added to the containers, mortality rates declined to 16% and 10.3% for Ae. aegypti and Cx. pipiens respectively. When 50 first instar larvae of each of the two mosquito species tested were placed together with a single adult female of M. annulatus, mortality rates were 75.5% for Ae. aegypti larvae and 23.5% for Cx. pipiens larvae in a three day test period. Different density of adult females of M. annulatus ranged from 5 to 25 females produced mortality rates of Ae. aegypti first instar larvae from 50% to 100% respectively. When a single adult female of M. annulatus was exposed to an increasing number of first-instar Ae. aegypti larvae ranging from 10 to 100, 100% mortality was recorded from 1 to 25 larvae, then mortality declined to 30% with 100 larvae. The average larvae killed per 24 h period by a single copepod were 29.  相似文献

The use of the cyclopoid copepods Macrocyclops distinctus (Richard) Megacyclops viridis (Jurine) and Mesocyclops pehpeiensis Hu (Cyclopoida: Cyclopidae) as biological control agents against the dengue vector Aedes albopictus (Skuse) (Diptera: Culicidae) was evaluated. In the laboratory their predatory ability was highest against the younger instars of Ae. albopictus and none of the three copepods killed the fourth instar. Except for M. viridis, predatory ability was affected by the size of the container: the smaller the container, the higher the predation. A 4-month field test was conducted to examine the impact of these predators on wild Ae. albopictus. Thirty artificial containers were placed in a peridomestic area to allow Ae. albopictus colonization. We showed continuous and similar oviposition responses in treated and control containers. The densities of Ae. albopictus showed considerable short-term changes and were much reduced by the copepod species. Macrocyclops and the mixture of all three provided better Ae. albopictus control than either Megacyclops or Mesocyclops alone. When larval densities peaked in the control containers in August and September, the overall reduction due to the copepods was nearly complete. Mesocyclops inoculated alone had the highest population survival. However, the growth and survival of all the copepod species was poor when the three genera were mixed. Based on their performance and survival in the trial, Macrocyclops and Mesocyclops merit consideration as bio-control agents of Ae. albopictus.  相似文献

Abstract Gene 51 and Gene 42 of Bacillus sphaericus 2297 were expressed in the nitrogen-fixing filamentous cyanobacterium Anabaena sp. 7120 on a shuttle vector. Intact recombinant cells showed high toxicity against larvae of Culex pipiens in laboratory and field tests, and lower toxicity against larvae of Anopheles sinensis . Although unselective culture could decrease the mosquitocidal activity, the genetically engineered Anabaena open up new possibilities for the use of cyanobacteria for mosquito control.  相似文献

The effect of Bacillus thuringiensis var israelensis (B.t.i.) on the oviposition behavior of Aedes albopictus was evaluated in the field and laboratory in Clemson, SC, U.S.A. In the field, water taken from containers in which mosquito larvae were reared (conditioned water) was placed in 16 containers. Eight containers received 50 jld of B.t.i., and eight with water only were kept as controls. In the laboratory, field-collected females of Ae. albopictus were placed in rearing chambers and provided two containers for oviposition, one with 50 microl of B.t.i and one a control with water only. Eight cage experiments were conducted, five using filtered tap water and three with conditioned water. In the field over the 13 trials, more eggs were laid in the containers with B.t.i. although no significant difference was found in the number of eggs between the treatment and controls over 72 h. In the laboratory, more eggs were laid in the containers with B.t.i. versus the controls. The containers had filtered tap water and B.t.i. had significantly more eggs laid in them compared to the controls.  相似文献

Abstract:  Mosquito larvae of Culex pipiens were subjected repeatedly to selection pressure with the bacterial agent Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis ( B.t.i .) in the laboratory. Only 2.78-fold increase in tolerance to B.t.i . was induced in C. pipiens as a result of 20 generations of selection. The tolerance of C. pipiens to B.t.i . decreased by about 58% after stopping the selection for three generations. Larval selection with B.t.i. caused a reduction in the reproductive potential of mosquito adult survivors but did not affect the adult longevity and the time of blood meal digestion ingested by female mosquitoes.  相似文献

采用浸液法测试了竹叶花椒果实的水蒸汽蒸馏精油对白纹伊蚊和致倦库蚊幼虫的毒杀效果,并用三角瓶密闭熏蒸法研究了精油对这两种成蚊的熏杀活性;此外,采用GC-MS分析了该精油的化学成分。研究结果:(1)精油对白纹伊蚊和致倦库蚊的Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ、Ⅳ龄期幼虫及蛹的LC50值分别为25.634/61.472、31.763/76.431、52.356/110.172、258.497/121.884和198.263/162.048mg.L-1;(2)精油对白纹伊蚊和致倦库蚊成蚊的LC50值分别为24.957和29.517μg.cm-3;(3)在147.52μg.cm-3熏杀剂量下,精油对白纹伊蚊和致倦库蚊成蚊的KT50值分别为3.493和2.993min,24h致死率均为100%;(4)共鉴定出18种化合物,其中萜烯类10种,占精油总量的67.122%,为竹叶花椒果实精油的主要成分。竹叶花椒果实精油对白纹伊蚊和致倦库蚊均有明显的致死作用,且作用速度快,具有开发为植物源杀蚊剂的潜力。  相似文献

Since 1997, Aedes albopictus has colonised and then rapidly invaded the city of Rome (Italy) and its peripheral areas. Presently, the control of this mosquito in Italy relies mainly on larvicidal treatment of street storm sewer catch basins with the organophosphate temephos. We have therefore obtained baseline data on the susceptibility to temephos of the Roman Ae. albopictus population by laboratory bioassays on F1 fourth-instar larvae following standard WHO protocols. Estimated lethal concentrations were 0.014 mg/l (LC50) and 0.022 mg/l (LC90) indicating a lack of resistance to this compound. The persistence of temephos in sewer catch basins was evaluated by follow-up of catch basins treated with a dose of 1.5 mg of active ingredient. Mosquito larvae were recovered in 10% and 50% of the treated basins at 9 and 18 days posttreatment, respectively. In order to understand the relative contribution of this larval habitat to adult populations, we conducted a survey in the Zoo of Rome to estimate the larval density of mosquitoes breeding in sewer catch basins. A complete census of a 16.5 ha area mapped 243 catch basins, but only 25 (10.3%) contained water; of the latter 8 (32.0%) hosted mosquito larvae. All positive catch basins contained larvae of Culex pipiens, which were associated with Culiseta longiareolata and/or Ae. albopictus in 6 and 3 cases, respectively. A longitudinal survey of one catch basin over 4 months showed that the mean larval density of Ae. albopictus was markedly lower than that of Cx pipiens and Cs. Iongiareolata, ranging between 0 and 1.3 larvae/dip as compared to 0-33.2 and 0-22.7 larvae/dip, respectively. However, adult densities of Ae. albopictus in this area estimated during the same period with 20 ovitraps showed consistently high values (proportion of positive ovitraps around 100%). These preliminary observations suggest that whenever alternative larval biotopes other than sewer catch basins are widely available, they might be more productive and/or preferred substrates to catch basins for Ae. albopictus breeding.  相似文献

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease, whose main biological vector is Aedes aegypti. This mosquito colonizes tropical areas where the disease is endemic. The most obvious action against dengue is attacking its vector. Biological control appears to be an alternative approach, using natural enemies of the mosquitoes, such as predatory copepods. Thus, the morphological study of the damage caused by copepods is important to understand its predatory capacity. Twenty-five A. aegypti larvae were exposed to the copepod Mesocyclops thermocyclopoides and the damage caused by the copepods was evaluated using scanning electron microscopy. The larvae showed damage mainly at the anal segment, the siphon and the abdomen; only three attacks to the head were observed. The size of the siphon might be of importance in determining whether or not a copepod will attack a mosquito larva.  相似文献

A strain of Clostridium bifermentans individualized as serovar malaysia (C.b.m.) according to its specific H antigen is toxic to mosquito and blackfly larvae when given orally. The toxicity occurs in sporulated cells which contain, in addition to spores, proteinic parasporal inclusion bodies and feather-like appendages; the amino acid content of the inclusion bodies is similar to that of Bacillus thuringiensis serovar israelensis (B.t.i.) and B. sphaericus crystals. The toxicity to Anopheles stephensi is as high as that of B.t.i. and the best strains of B. sphaericus. Culex pipiens is somewhat less susceptible, and Aedes aegypti much less. Pure parasporal inclusion bodies, isolated by ultracentrifugation on sucrose gradients, are highly toxic to mosquito larvae. The larvicidal power is destroyed by heating at 80 degrees C or by treatment with 50 mM NaOH. It is preserved by freeze-drying. The innocuity to mice of the sporulated cells is shown by different routes of administration: force-feeding, percutaneous, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal or intravenous injections. The potential for the biological control of mosquito and blackfly larvae is suggested.  相似文献

A floating briquette formulation was developed to allow slow releasing which is useful for the spreading of Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis (B.t.i.) into water. A semi-field confined assessment was conducted to investigate the effectiveness mosquito control using the briquettes (37.5% AI) against Anopheles sinensis, Culex pipiens, and Ochlerotatus togoi in small plots. The treatment produced continuously 100% larval reductions against An. sinensis and Cx. pipiens at an over 2.0g briquette until 20 and 25 days, respectively. After 25 days from the treatment, the mortality rates of An. sinensis were 55% and 80% at 4.0g and 8.0g briquettes, respectively. After 30 days from the treatment, the mortality rates of Cx. pipiens were 71% and 86% at 4.0g and 8.0g briquettes, respectively. The mortality rates of Oc. togoi were 99% at an 2.0g briquettes after 20 days, with killing of 75% and 99% at 4.0 and 8.0g briquettes after 30 days, respectively. In field, mosquito control evaluations of the briquettes were performed in four marshes with sewage effluent waters, Busan during the period of June through September, 2002. Culex pipiens larvae were treated with the B.t.i. briquettes at the rate of a briquette per 4m2 in marsh. Each treatment of the briquettes resulted in satisfactory level of mosquito control up to 21-33 days. The treatment made the mosquito reduction in total averages of 91.7%, 91.3%, 82.4% 82.0%, and 100.0% in 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 weeks probably due to be long released period of the briquette.  相似文献

Two neotropical freshwater fish species, Cnesterodom decemmaculatus (Poeciliidae) and Jenynsia multidentata (Anablepidae), were collected from human-made ditches, a common habitat of the house mosquito Culex pipiens in La Plata, Argentina. Cnesterodom decemmaculatus was recorded in 62 of the 100 examined ditches, whereas J. multidentata was collected from only 21 ditches sympatrically with C. decemmaculatus. Culex pipiens was the only mosquito species collected, and its larvae and pupae were found in 38 of the 100 ditches. Fish and mosquito larvae and pupae were collected together in only two ditches and were significantly negatively correlated. Siphons of larval Culex and remnants of chironomid larvae, copepods, aquatic mites, and fish were present in the gut contents of two C. decemmaculatus from mosquito-positive ditches, while diatoms and filamentous algae were recorded in every fish dissected. Adult C. decemmaculatus and J. multidentata needed approximately 6.2 h to completely digest one Cx. pipiens 4th instar larva under laboratory conditions. When fish were confined with a density of 60 or fewer Cx. pipiens 4th instar larvae, C. decemmaculatus and J. multidentata adults consumed 100% of them in one day but only 35% and 42%, respectively, when confined with 150 larvae. Eradication of Cx. pipiens from a ditch, where densities had averaged 250 immatures per dip, was achieved 17 days after the introduction of 1,700 C. decemmaculatus.  相似文献

本文用电子显微镜、蛋白质凝胶电泳和蛋白水解酶测定的方法,比较研究了三种蚊幼虫在感染苏云金杆菌以色列变种后中肠组织的病变,经苏云金杆菌以色列变种处理10分钟后,中肠细胞的细胞器即呈现病变,最明显的是线粒体呈现极度的电子致密状态,细胞质的粗糙内质网也开始瓦解,处理16小时后,细胞核膨胀,各种细胞器进一步瓦解,而围食膜仍然完好。此时细胞的盐溶性蛋白含量减少,图谱上明显缺少一条蛋白区带。另方面,感染10分钟后,中肠的蛋白水解酶活性便下降,不同蚊种的酶活性相差比较大,幼虫中肠的蛋白水解酶主要为胰蛋白酶。 根据结果分析,我们初步认为,苏云金杆菌以色列变种,对蚊幼虫的毒效是苏云金杆菌以色列变种的毒素对中肠细胞能量代谢和中肠蛋白酶活性产生抑制的结果。  相似文献

The predation rates of six copepod species: Acanthocyclops robustus G.O. Sars, Eucyclops neumani Pesta, Macrocyclops albidus Jurine, Mesocyclops longisetus Thibaud, Metacyclops grandis Kiefer and Metacyclops mendocinus Wierzejski (Copepoda: Cyclopidae) on mosquito larvae, Culex pipiens Linnaeus (Diptera: Culicidae) were assessed. Experiments consisted of 24-h incubations of one copepod and 10 larvae without extra food at 16 degrees C and 26 degrees C. Nine replicates were considered for each species and temperature. Predation rates (larvae per copepod per day) were: M. mendocinus (1.8), M. grandis (3.1), E. neumani (3.8), A. robustus (3.8), Ma. albidus (6.1) and Me. longisetus (7.0). There was a significant effect of both species and temperature on predation: all species experienced higher predation at 26 degrees C than at 16 degrees C, except for A. robustus whose predation rate was similar at both temperatures. These observations are consistent with previous results that point to Macrocyclops and Mesocyclops genera as important larval predators and suggest the need for field trials to evaluate the response of Ma. albidus and Me. longisetus under natural conditions in Uruguay.  相似文献

The New Orleans Mosquito Control Board mass produces Mesocyclops longisetus and Macrocyclops albidus for introduction to mosquito breeding sites as a routine part of control operations. Mesocyclops longisetus is used in tires that collect rainwater; M. albidus is used in temporary pools. Field trials in a Spartina marsh, rice fields, and residential roadside ditches in Louisiana suggest that M. longisetus and M. albidus could be of use to control larvae of Anopheles spp. and Culex quinquefasciatus. Mesocyclops longisetus has proved to be effective for Aedes aegypti control in cisterns, 55-gallon drums, and other domestic containers in Honduras.  相似文献

The relative toxicity of leaf litter to nematocerous dipteran larvae characteristic of mosquito developmental sites was investigated. Culicidae, Chironomidae, and Simuliidae taxa originating from alpine hydrosystems were tested together with two laboratory nonindigenous culicid taxa. Bioassays indicate that ingestion of 10-month-old decaying leaves from Alnus glutinosa, Populus nigra, and Quercus robur by larvae is more deleterious for Aedes aegypti, A. albopictus, Culex pipiens, Simulium variegatum, and Chironomus annularius than for A. rusticus. Histopathological observations reveal that the midgut epithelium is the main target organ of the toxic effect of dietary leaf litter, which appears to be stronger than that of previously reported tannic acid. There is a general response of the nematocerous larval midgut epithelium to dietary tannins-phenolic compounds: clear cells of the anterior midgut showing symptoms of intoxication before dark cells of the posterior midgut.  相似文献

Field and laboratory experiments were conducted during an epizootic of Coelomomyces punctatus (Chytridiomycetes: Blastocladiales) in a population of the mosquito Anopheles quadrimaculatus in a North Carolina farm pond to examine the interactions of several potential copepod hosts with the mosquito and fungus. The diel vertical migratory behavior of the copepod species Acanthocyclops robustus, Eucyclops serrulatus, Macrocyclops albidus, and Mesocyclops edax were monitored in relation to infection rates in sentinel mosquito larvae. Mosquito infection occurred primarily around dusk, the same period during which A. robustus and E. serrulatus were most abundant near the surface of the pond. However, exposure of A. robustus, E. serrulatus, M. albidus, M. edax, Microcyclops varicans, and Paracyclops poppei to fungal meiospores in the laboratory showed that only A. robustus and M. edax were competent intermediate hosts for C. punctatus. Laboratory studies of the diel periodicity of gametangial dehiscence in A. robustus and M. edax infected with C. punctatus revealed that gamete release and zygote formation also occurred around dusk. The combined results of the laboratory and field studies on copepod abundance, susceptibility to infection, and periodicity of gametangial dehiscence suggest that A. robustus was the principal intermediate host for C. punctatus during the epizootic, though it is probable that M. edax also contributed importantly to the overall rate of larval infection.  相似文献

为探讨致倦库蚊对登革Ⅱ型病毒的中肠感染屏障作用,通过病毒分离、逆转录聚合酶链反应、透射电镜等技术进行了相关研究。结果表明:吸食感染性血液后,登革Ⅱ型病毒能侵染白纹伊蚊中肠上皮细胞并大量复制,但不能侵染致倦库蚊中肠上皮细胞。以上研究证明致倦库蚊对登革Ⅱ型病毒存在中肠感染屏障。  相似文献

通过疫区围网养殖河蟹、黄鳝、克氏原螯虾试验,解剖观察食性表明:河蟹、黄鳝、克氏原螯虾都可以摄食钉螺、蚊幼虫.为进一步验证它们的这一食性及其摄食量,通过模拟网栏养殖模式的数据统计表明:河蟹每天每只能摄食蚊幼虫2.4尾、钉螺4.8个;克氏原螯虾每天每只能摄食蚊幼虫17.尾、钉螺0.9个;黄鳝每天每尾摄食蚊幼虫8.1尾、钉螺0.7个;河蟹、克氏原螯虾、黄鳝摄食生态的研究为生物灭螺、灭蚊提供新的途径.    相似文献
