Studies on the effect of N, P and/or K fertilisers applied to Giza 2 corn, on behaviour of Heterodera zeae revealed that the nematode population greatly varied according to the fertiliser type and level. When N, P or K were used separately, the fertilised plants sustained the lowest nematode final population and the rate of build-up as compared with those of the control plants; however, the recommended levels of these fertilisers caused the lower values amongst the applied fertilisers levels and achieved an higher increase in the plant growth parameters. As for, the N, P and K used in different combinations, a similar trend was noticed when the recommended levels of the fertilisers were applied to plants. It is worthy to notice that when phosphorus was decreased or nitrogen increased each in combination with the other elements at their recommended levels, the nematode reproduced well and folded several times.  相似文献

氮磷肥配施对苦荞根系生理生态及产量的影响   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
以苦荞品种‘迪庆’为材料,在盆栽试验条件下,研究了氮(纯氮用量分别为0g/kg、0.1g/kg、0.2g/kg)、磷(P2O5用量分别为0.1g/kg和0.2g/kg)配施对苦荞根系生长、生理指标及其产量的影响,旨在为黄土高原苦荞高产优质栽培提供理论依据。结果表明:(1)在相同施磷量条件下,苦荞幼苗的株高、茎粗、茎叶干重、主根长、根表面积、根系体积、根系直径、根系干重以及壮苗指数等均随施氮量的增加而呈先升后降的趋势,但根冠比随施氮量的增加而呈先降后升的趋势;叶片叶绿素含量以及根系活力、酸性磷酸酶(Apase)活性、可溶性蛋白含量和植株氮积累量随施氮量的增加呈抛物线变化趋势,根系硝酸还原酶(NR)活性和植株氮含量随施氮量的增加而增加;而根系可溶性糖含量、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性、过氧化物酶(POD)活性、丙二醛(MDA)含量和游离脯氨酸含量等指标均随施氮量的增加而呈先降后升的趋势,0.1g/kg施氮处理各指标均显著低于其他处理;成熟期单株粒重、百粒重随施氮量的增加呈先升后降的趋势,0.1g/kg施氮处理各指标均显著高于其他处理。(2)在相同施氮量条件下,随着施磷量的增加,苦荞根系酸性磷酸酶(Apase)活性、SOD活性、POD活性、MDA含量、可溶性糖含量、可溶性蛋白以及游离脯氨酸含量等指标均降低,其余各指标则呈增加趋势。(3)无论施磷量条件如何,0.1g/kg的施氮处理下苦荞产量最高,与其他施氮处理相比,在低磷和高磷处理下的增产幅度分别为7.04%~37.40%和14.73%~68.26%;在施氮量一定的情况下,高磷处理比低磷处理增产15.96%~42.00%。(4)在该试验条件下,适当的氮磷肥配施表现出了明显的正加和效应,但过量施肥也有可能导致增产幅度下降,中氮高磷(施纯N量0.1g/kg,施P2O5量0.2g/kg)配施效果最优。  相似文献

以甘南高寒草甸常见牧草垂穗披碱草(Elymus nutans)为研究对象,比较不同氮磷硅添加下,垂穗披碱草叶片对元素添加的反应。研究发现:氮添加显著提高土壤中硝态氮和铵态氮的含量;磷添加提高了土壤中全磷和速效磷的含量;高浓度的硅单独、硅与氮或磷混合可提高土壤中硝态氮的含量或全磷和速效磷的含量;氮和磷单独添加分别能提高垂穗披碱草叶片全氮和全磷含量,高浓度的硅单独、硅与氮或磷混合添加都能提高垂穗披碱草叶片全氮和全磷的含量。就硅元素而言,高浓度的硅添加,硅与氮或磷混合添加能提高土壤硝态氮、全磷和速效磷的含量,促进垂穗披碱草对土壤中氮磷的吸收,从而使植物叶片中氮磷的含量增加。  相似文献

以荒漠C3植物红砂(Reaumuria soongarica)和C4植物珍珠(Salsola passerina)为材料,在西北干旱荒漠区沿自然降水梯度,对不同降水条件下单生和混生红砂与珍珠根、茎、叶器官碳、氮、磷化学计量指标进行测定,分析其在不同生境下化学计量特征对种间关系及环境胁迫的响应规律。结果表明:(1)随干旱胁迫程度增加(降水量的减少),红砂各器官C含量平均升高7.73%,N、P含量分别平均降低6.20%、10.61%;珍珠各器官C含量平均升高7.36%,N、P含量分别平均降低5.93%、14.03%。两种植物叶片C含量升高表明其光合速率较低,生长缓慢,但对外界不利环境的防御能力增强,能更好地适应干旱环境。(2)干旱胁迫改变了红砂和珍珠的N、P含量在各器官的分配模式,两种植物N、P含量在叶部高于根部,在根、叶中N/P明显高于茎,表明两种植物不同器官受到的养分限制不同。(3)红砂各器官C、N、P含量高于珍珠,说明红砂防御能力较强,生长速率高,对资源的竞争和利用能力较珍珠强;珍珠C/N和C/P均高于红砂,表明珍珠比红砂有较强的碳同化能力和较高的营养利用效率。(4)在干旱胁迫条件下,红砂和珍珠均表现为碳素积累、氮磷素限制的格局,它们对于氮和磷的养分利用不活跃,受到氮和磷养分的限制较为均衡。  相似文献

It is known that the coffee (Coffea arabica L.) plant which is originally from shade habitats would have a limited ability to grow under full sun. Previous work has shown that nitrogen fertilisation can reduce the leaf damage when the plants are exposed to high light intensities during several days. In the present work we aimed to study the effects of the high irradiance during the first hours and evaluate the positive contribution of nitrogen fertilisation in the case of short-term exposure to strong light. Young plants (1.5–2 years old) grown in 1.5 kg of a mixed soil were supplemented with a nutrient solution containing 15 mM nitrogen in the form of NH4NO3, every 7 days (2N treatment), 15 days (1N treatment) and 45 days (0N treatment). Top mature leaves were exposed to a photosynthetic photon flux density of 1 500 μmol m?2 s?1 for a maximal period of 8 h, and changes in photosynthesis and pigment composition were monitored along the period of high light exposure. Photosynthetic capacity, leaf conductance to water vapour, electron transport capacity and maximum carboxylation activity, as well as some leaf fluorescence parameters (minimal fluorescence, photochemical efficiency of PSII and quantum yield of photosynthetic electron transport) were reduced by the stress, with a generally stronger impact observed in the 0N plants. The photochemical quenching was affected only in the 0N plants, while the non-photochemical quenching increased in 2N plants but decreased in the 0N ones. The results showed that 2N plants presented a better initial status of the photosynthetic parameters and of the content of photoprotective pigments. Those plants showed ability to trigger some protective mechanisms, as observed by the tendency to increase the xanthophyll pool content, specially in zeaxanthin and in non-photochemical quenching. Also, protein content presented a tendency to increase after 1.5 h, which was maintained until the end of the high light period. We conclude that nitrogen availability is a key factor in the acclimation process to high light.  相似文献

We tested whether experimentally enhancing nutrients around the kelp Hedophyllum sessile would increase growth, tissue nitrogen, or allocation to phenolic compounds. Packets of time‐released fertilizer were anchored adjacent to fronds in the field, and algae were monitored for several months. Although fertilizer packets increased the concentration of ammonium, nitrate, and phosphorus adjacent to treatment algae by an order of magnitude, there was little evidence that this increased frond growth or size. Hedophyllum individuals showed no tendency to alter allocation patterns in response to nutrient addition. Tissue carbon and nitrogen was unchanged by the nutrient manipulation; most H. sessile had tissue nitrogen concentrations in excess of 2.0% of dry mass. Additionally, the concentration of phloroglucinol equivalents was also unaffected by the presence of increased water column nutrients. Although nutrient concentrations in the water column surrounding the study site show relatively high mean values for ammonium, nitrate, and phosphorus, they are characterized by high spatial and temporal variation. Nonetheless, these data suggest that this intertidal kelp is not limited by nitrogen or phosphorus in wave‐exposed areas in the northeast Pacific Ocean.  相似文献

The response of Eucalyptus grandis seedlings to elevated atmospheric CO2 concentrations was examined by growing seedlings at either 340 or 660 n mol CO2 mol-1 for 6 weeks. Graded increments of phosphorus and nitrogen fertilizers were added to a soil deficient in these nutrients to establish if the growth response to increasing nutrient availability was affected by CO2 concentration. At 660 μmol CO2 mol-1, seedling dry weight was up to five times greater than at 340 μmol CO2 mol-1. The absolute response was largest when both nitrogen and phosphorus availability was high but the relative increase in dry weight was greatest at low phosphorus availability. At 340 μmol CO2 mol-1 and high nitrogen availability, growth was stimulated by addition of phosphorus up to 76 mg kg 1 soil. Further additions of phosphorus had little effect. However, at 660 μmol CO2 mol-1, growth only began to plateau at a phosphorus addition rate of 920mg kg-1 soil. At 340 μmol CO2 mol-1 and high phosphorus availability, increasing nitrogen from 40 to 160mg kg-1 soil had little effect on plant growth. At high CO2, growth reached a maximum at between 80 and 160mg nitrogen kg-1 soil. Total uptake of phosphorus was greater at high CO2 concentration at all fertilizer addition rates, but nitrogen uptake was either lower or unchanged at high CO2 concentration except at the highest nitrogen fertilizer rate. The shoot to root ratio was increased by CO2 enrichment, primarily because the specific leaf weight was greater. The nitrogen and phosphorus concentration in the foliage was lower at elevated CO2 concentration partly because of the higher specific leaf weight. These results indicate that critical foliar concentrations currently used to define nutritional status and fertilizer management may need to be reassessed as the atmospheric CO2 concentration rises.  相似文献

Controlling the snail intermediate host of schistosomiasis is one of the strategies used to reduce disease incidence. In this study screening tests were carried out on the action of dried powder of eight algal species against Biomphalaria alexandrina snails. The most effective powders were from Dictyota dichotoma and Cystoseira barbata with LC50 values of 560 and 2200?ppm, respectively. Prolonged exposure to sublethal concentrations of these two powders caused adverse effects on snails' reproduction especially at LC25. Hatchability of exposed eggs was lowest at LC25 of C. barbata, and LC15 of D. dichotoma. The most pronounced effects on the hermaphrodite gland of snails were caused by high concentrations of both algal suspensions, where ova were either degenerated or deformed and there were detrimental effects on all spermatogenesis stages. The electrophoretic separation of haemolymph proteins showed that the concentration with most effect was the LC15 for both tested algae as they resulted in more bands than the control and also an elevation in total protein content.  相似文献

The effects of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) treatment on parameters of photosynthesis and antioxidant defense system were measured in pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) leaves under low-light (LL) stress. Seedlings exposed to LL stress showed increased chlorophyll content as well as decreased net photosynthetic rate (P n), stomatal conductance (g s), maximum quantum yield of PSII (F v/F m), actual PSII photochemical efficiency (ΦPSII), electron transport rates and photochemical quenching coefficient (q p). However, almost all the photosynthetic parameters above were enhanced markedly in seedlings treated with GABA under LL stress. Moreover, LL stress increased malondialdehyde (MDA) content, superoxide anion radical (O2 ·?) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) production. GABA-treated, LL-stressed seedlings exhibited lower MDA, O2 ·? and H2O2 production, and showed an activated antioxidant defense system, including increased activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, ascorbate peroxidase, glutathione peroxidase, monodehydroascorbate reductase, dehydroascorbate reductase, glutathione reductase, ascorbate and glutathione. Moreover, seedlings subjected to LL stress showed increased endogenous GABA levels, and the level was further improved by application of exogenous GABA. These results suggest that GABA mitigates the LL-induced stress via regulating the antioxidant defense system and maintaining a high level of photochemical efficiency in pepper seedlings.

A chemical fertiliser-adaptive variant, Bacillus subtilis BSK17, showed induction in growth at 0.32?M of Urea, 0.05?M of DAP, 0.04?M of MoP and 0.08 of gypsum. In addition, B. subtilis BSK17 produced various plant growth-promoting substances and showed higher colony growth inhibition of Fusarium oxysporum that increased with increase in incubation time and reached the maximum by 78% at 120?h. In field, antibiotic-resistant marker strains of B. subtilis BSK17ery+ and B. subtilis BSK17tet+ showed more improvement in seed yield (90% than the control and 24% than full dose of chemical fertilisers) of Cicer arietinum when applied with half dose of chemical fertilisers (N5+5P15+15K15S10+10+10). Root length, shoot length, fresh and dry weight of root and shoot of plants were enhanced after 120?days in comparison to control; all values were significant at 1% CD. The strain significantly colonised the rhizosphere of C. arietinum by 6.64 log cfu after 120?days.  相似文献

Summary In a boreal river about 95% of the individuals of Gyraulus acronicus overwinter in the littoral zone which freezes solid each year. These snails were compared with those overwintering in the unfrozen sublittoral area: The littoral snails had a higher survival rate, a higher tissue dry mass/CaCO3 ratio, and they deposited a higher number of eggs. Littoral snails had a more pronounced tissue degrowth during winter. High winter survival in the frozen littoral zone, a refuge totaly free from predation, indicates that overwintering here is advantageous. However, during frozen periods of short duration (<1 month) the high initial mortality to which the snails were exposed when freezing into the ice was not compensated for by higher survival after the initial phase. Under such conditions when the frozen period is very short the snails would have higher survival in unfrozen parts and are thus expected to avoid the ice.  相似文献

The activities of guaiacol peroxidase (GuPOD), ascorbate peroxidase (ASAp), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and ascorbate/glutathione cycle (AGC) enzymes, together with ascorbate (ASC) and glutathione contents, were determined in apoplastic-fluid and cell-wall fractions of needles of Pinus pinaster Ait. and Pinus radiata D. Don. exposed for up to 6 months to SO2 (0.01 ppm or 0.30 ppm) in fumigation chambers. AGC enzyme activities (monodehydroascorbate reductase, dehydroascorbate reductase and glutathione reductase) were in all cases undetectable, as was glutathione content. In needles of P. pinaster plants exposed to SO2, ascorbate content and all enzyme activities considered (except AGC enzymes) increased. The increases were most marked in response to the higher SO2 concentration. In needles of P. radiata, similar but less marked responses were observed. These findings suggest a) that enzyme activities and ascorbate contents increase in order to deal with the reactive oxygen intermediates produced during long-term contamination with SO2, and b) that P. pinaster has more effective defences against contamination of this type than P. radiata.  相似文献

The concentrations of soluble biologically available nitrogen and phosphorus were determined using Selenastrum capricornutum bioassays and compared with analytically measured soluble nitrate (NO3-N) and soluble reactive phosphorus concentrations during enrichment studies in a South African impoundment. The NO3-N analyses consistently underestimated the soluble biologically available nitrogen and the extent of the discrepancy decreased with increasing NO3-N concentration. Biological availability of soluble organic nitrogen during the bioassays is suggested as a reason for the discrepancies. At low soluble reactive phosphorus concentrations the analytical measurements underestimated the soluble biologically available phosphorus while at high soluble reactive phosphorus concentrations the analytical measurements were considerable overestimates of soluble biologically available phosphorus. Possible reasons for the observed trend are discussed.  相似文献

Summary The purpose of this study was to examine the growth response of Bouteloua gracilis, with and without the vescular-arbuscular mycorrhiza (VAM), Glomus fasciculatus, to varying levels of phosphorus and nitrogen (as NH + 4 ) and to determine whether nitrogen and phosphorus levels influence VAM establishment. Bouteloua gracilis was grown in 225 g of soil in a factorial experiment combining four levels of ammonium nitrogen (4, 30, 60, and 126 g/g), four levels of phosphorus (3, 7, 12, and 22 g/g), and with VAM spores or no spores. Bouteloua gracilis showed enhanced growth with increased nutrients over the entire range of experimental amendments. Shoot nitrogen concentration for all plants ranged from an average of 0.73% at the low amendment level to 1.61% at the high level, whereas shoot total averages ranged from 2.43 mg at the low amendment to 16.4 mg at the high amendment. Mean shoot phosphorus concentrations ranged from 0.109% at the low amendment level to 0.150% at the high amendment, while totals averaged 5.29 mg at the low amendment and 11.8 mg at the high amendment level. Infected plants were consistently smaller than uninfected plants. This reduction was significant at high nitrogen-low phosphorus, where percent infection was highest (71%). At low nitrogen levels, moderate infection (17%) was established at all phosphorus levels. No infection occurred when both nitrogen and phosphorus levels were high. The lack of a positive nutrient or biomass response to VAM establishment is contrary to most published reports, but is similar to a lack of response shown with certain grasses and other plants. It is possible that the parasitic nature of the response to infection represents the early phase of infection.  相似文献

1. The influence of inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus enrichment on phytoplankton photosynthesis was investigated in Lakes Bonney (east and west lobes), Hoare, Fryxell and Vanda, which lie in the ablation valleys adjacent to McMurdo Sound, Antarctica. Bioassay experiments were conducted during the austral summer on phytoplankton populations just beneath the permanent ice cover in all lakes and on populations forming deep-chlorophyll maxima in the east and west lobes of Lake Bonney. 2. Phytoplankton photosynthesis in surface and mid-depth (13 m) samples from both lobes of Lake Bonney were stimulated significantly (P < 0.01) by phosphorus enrichment (2 μM) with further stimulation by simultaneous phosphorus plus NH4+ (20 μM) enrichment. Similar trends were observed in deeper waters (18 m) from the east lobe of Lake Bonney, although they were not statistically significant at P < 0.05. Photosynthesis in this lake was never enhanced by the addition of 20 μM NH4+ alone. Simultaneous addition of phosphorus plus nitrogen stimulated photosynthesis significantly (P < 0.01) in both Lake Hoare and Lake Fryxell. No nutrient response occurred in Lake Vanda, where activity in nutrient-enriched samples was below unamended controls; results from Lake Vanda are suspect owing to excessively long sample storage in the field resulting from logistic constraints. 3. Ambient dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN) (NH4++ NO2?+ NO3?): soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) ratios partially support results from bioassay experiments indicating strong phosphorus deficiency in Lake Bonney and nitrogen deficiency in Lakes Hoare and Fryxell. DIN : SRP ratios also imply phosphorus deficiency in Lake Vanda, although not as strong as in Lake Bonney. Particulate carbon (PC): particulate nitrogen (PN) ratios all exceed published ratios for balanced phytoplankton growth, indicative of nitrogen deficiency. 4. Vertical nutrient profiles in concert with low advective flux, indicate that new (sensu Dugdale & Goering, 1967) phytoplankton production in these lakes is supported by upward diffusion of nutrients from deep nutrient pools. This contention was tested by computing upward DIN : SRP flux ratios across horizontal planes located immediately beneath each chlorophyll maximum and about 2 m beneath the ice (to examine flux to the phytoplankton immediately below the ice cover). These flux ratios further corroborated nutrient bioassay results and bulk DIN : SRP ratios indicating phosphorus deficiency in Lakes Bonney and Vanda and potential nitrogen deficiency in Lakes Hoare and Fryxell. 5. Neither biochemical reactions nor physical processes appear to be responsible for differences in nutrient deficiency among the study lakes. The differences may instead be related to conditions which existed before or during the evolution of the lakes.  相似文献

土壤氧化亚氮(N2O)主要产生于土壤微生物参与的氮循环过程,其排放量受磷含量及有效性影响。添加磷肥有助于缓解陆地生态系统磷限制,提升土壤有效磷含量,进一步影响土壤微生物对氮的利用,同时控制N2O排放。然而不同独立实验中N2O对外源磷添加的响应差异较大。研究从发表的中、英文文献中收集了54份关于施用磷肥与N2O排放量的观测结果,采用元分析方法确定添加外源磷后N2O排放量的响应差异及潜在影响因素。结果表明:(1)外源磷添加对土壤N2O排放量影响不显著;但在磷肥施用量> 50 kg P/hm2的室外实验中土壤N2O排放量显著降低了32.5%;施用NaH2PO4的室内实验中N2O排放量显著降低了18.4%。(2)土壤N2O对外源磷添加响应的高变异性是磷肥施用量和土壤含水量、土壤pH、土地利用类型、磷肥种类、纬度和实验时间多种影响...  相似文献

Abstract

Six varieties of lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) – Asha, Subrata, IPL 406, IPL 81, Lv and Sehore – were exposed to temperatures ranging from 30–50°C which resulted in retarded germination and seedling growth at higher temperatures. Tolerance index and membrane stability tests revealed Sehore and Lv to be susceptible to elevated temperatures while IPL 406, IPL 81, Asha and Subrata were tolerant. Catalase, ascorbate peroxidase and superoxide dismutase showed an initial increase before declining at 50°C, while peroxidase and glutathione reductase activities declined at all temperatures. Lipid peroxidation significantly increased in all varieties. In the tolerant varieties, there was an initial decrease in accumulation of H2O2 followed by an increase from 40°C onwards; however, in the susceptible varieties, accumulation was enhanced at all high temperatures. Ascorbate and glutathione also showed initial increase followed by a decline. Total antioxidant activity was at a maximum at 35–40°C in the tolerant varieties and at 30°C in the susceptible ones. Oxidative stress induced by high temperature was ameliorated by treatment with salicylic acid, abscisic acid or CaCl2, of which salicylic acid was the most effective.  相似文献

Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) genotypes CocoT and Flamingo were inoculated with Rhizobium tropici CIAT899 and Glomus intraradices (Schenck & Smith) and grown under sufficient versus deficient phosphorus supply for comparing the effects of double inoculation on growth, nodulation, mycorrhization of the roots, phosphorus use efficiency and total nitrogen. Although the double inoculation induced a significant increase in all parameters whatever the phosphorus supply in comparison to control, significant differences were found among genotypes and treatments. Nevertheless, the highest phosphorus use efficiency and plant total nitrogen were found under P deficiency in combination with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. It is concluded that inoculation with rhizobia and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi could improve symbiotic nitrogen fixation even under phosphorus deficiency.  相似文献
