The methanol extract of the leaves of Buddleja asiatica Lour. (Loganiaceae) showed antioxidant activity toward the well known in vitro antioxidant tests such as total antioxidant capacity by the phosphomolybdenum method, free radical scavenging activity by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl scavenging assay (DPPH assay) and hydrogen peroxide scavenging methods. Due to the high scavenging activity of the n-butanol successive fraction toward DPPH and H2O2 (SC50 = 11.99 and 18.54 microg/ml, respectively), this extract was subjected to chromatographic separation and isolation. Four non-phenolic compounds were isolated and identified on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical analyses: 1-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-2-methoxy-3-(2-hydroxy-triaconta-3,12-dienoate)-glycerol (1), 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->4)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)]-beta-D-fucopyranosyl-olean-11,13(18)-diene-3 beta,23,28-triol (2), 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->4)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-beta-D-fucopyranosyl-olean-11,13(18)-diene-3,23,28-triol (3), and 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->4)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->2)]-beta-D-glucuronopyranosyl-acid-olean-11,13(18)-diene-3 beta,23,28-triol (4). The four compounds were evaluated as antioxidant agents using the three antioxidant bioassay tests.  相似文献

Four new pregnane glycosides, stelmatocryptonoside A, B, C, and D (1-4), were isolated from the stems of Stelmatocrypton khasianum. On the basis of chemical and spectral data, the structures of 1-4 were established as 3beta, 16alpha-dihydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-one-16-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside; 3beta, 20-dihydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-digitalopyranoside; 3beta, 16alpha-dihydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-one-16-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside; and 3beta, 16alpha-dihydroxy-pregn-5-en-20-one-16-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside. Two new cycloartane-type glycosides, named aquilegiosides A and B, were isolated from the dried aerial parts of Aquilegia flabellata Sieb.et Zucc.var flabellata (Ranunculaceae). Their chemical structures have been characterized as 22S-3beta,16alpha,29-trihydroxy-cycloart-24-en-26,22-olid e 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1--->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1--->2)-alpha- L-arabinopyranoside and 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1--->2)-alpha-L-arabinopyranoside, by chemical and spectroscopic evidence.  相似文献

The methanol extract of the whole parts of Tribulus macropterus Boiss. (family Zygophyllaceae) showed cytotoxic activity against a human tumour cell line (hepatocyte generation 2, HepG2) (IC50 = 2.9 microg/ml). The n-butanolic fraction obtained from successive fractionation of the methanolic extract exhibited activity against HepG2 (IC50 = 2.6 microg/ml). Therefore, this fraction was subjected to separation using different chromatographic techniques. Five compounds, 1-5, were isolated and identified as: (22S,25S)-16beta,22,26-trihydroxy-cholest-4-en-3-one-16-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-beta-D-xylopyranoside (1), (22S,25S)-16beta,22,26-trihydroxy-cholest-4-en-3-one-16-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), sucrose (3), D-pinitol (4) and 3beta-hydroxy-5a-pregn-16(17)en-20-one-3-O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)]-beta-D-ga-lactopyranoside (5) on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical data. The three steroidal compounds 1, 2 and 5 were also tested against the same cell line HepG2 and their IC50 values were 2.4, 2.2 and 1.1 microg/ml, respectively.  相似文献

Four new steroid saponins, kingianosides A-D, were isolated from the rhizome of Polygonatum kingianum, together with two known steroid saponins. On the basis of chemical and spectral evidence, the structures of kingianosides A-D were established as gentrogenin 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1-->4)-beta-D-galactopyranoside, gentrogenin 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->4)-beta-D-fucopyranoside, 26-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-22-hydroxy-25(R)-furost-5-en-12-on-3 beta, 22-diol 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->4)-beta-D-galactopyranoside and 26-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-22-hydroxy-25(R)-furost-5-en-12-on-3 beta,22-diol 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl(1-->4)-beta-D-fucopyranoside, respectively.  相似文献

Two saponins were isolated from the roots of Ardisia mamillata HANCE. Their structures were established on the basis of MALDI-TOFMS, 1H, 13C NMR and 2D NMR (COSY, HOHAHA, HETCOR, HMBC and ROESY) spectra, and on chemical evidence, to be ardisimamilloside A, 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)]-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl]-3beta, 16alpha,28alpha-trihydroxy-13beta,28-epoxy-oleanan+ ++-30-al; and ardisimamilloside B, 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-( 1 --> 2)]-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl]-beta3-hydroxy-13beta,28- epoxy-oleanan-16-oxo-30-al.  相似文献

Seven oleanane-type saponins were isolated from the leaves and stems of Oreopanax guatemalensis, together with ten known saponins of lupane and oleanane types. From the saponin fraction of the total methanolic extract of the dried root and stem barks of Taverniera aegyptiaca Boiss, six new triterpenoidal saponins of oleanane type were isolated and identified as 28-methyl serratagenate-3-beta-O-beta-xylopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-glucopyranoside (2), 28-methyl serratagenate 3-beta-O-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-glucopyranoside (3), 3beta-O-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl (1-->2) beta-glucopyranosyl-olean-11,13(18)-dien-1beta, 3beta, 22beta-triol (4), 3beta-O-beta-glucopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-glucuronopyranosylolean-11,13(18)-dien-1beta,3beta,22beta-triol (5), 3beta-O-beta-xylopyranosyl(1-->2)-beta-glucuronopyranosylolean-11,13(18)-dien-1beta,3beta,22beta-triol (6), 3beta-O-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-glucuronopyranosylolean-11,13(18)-dien-1beta, 3beta, 22beta-triol (7) together with the known oleanolic acid 3-beta-O-beta-glucoside (1). The identification of the isolated compounds was done on the basis of chemical and spectral evidences.  相似文献

Three saponins, named minutoside A (1), minutoside B (2), minutoside C (3), and two known sapogenins, alliogenin and neoagigenin, were isolated from the bulbs of Allium minutiflorum Regel. Elucidation of their structure was carried out by comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, including 2D NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The structures of the new compounds were identified as (25R)-furost-2alpha,3beta,6beta,22alpha,26-pentaol 3-O-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl] 26-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), (25S)-spirostan-2alpha,3beta,6beta-triol 3-O-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-O-beta-D-galactopyranoside (2), and (25R)-furost-2alpha,3beta,5alpha,6beta,22alpha,26-esaol 3-O-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->3)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl] 26-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (3). The isolated compounds were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity. All the novel saponins showed a significant antifungal activity depending on their concentration and with the following rank: minutoside B>minutoside C>minutoside A. No appreciable antibacterial activity was recorded. The possible role of these saponins in plant-microbe interactions is discussed.  相似文献

A new steroidal saponin, 3-{(O-6-deoxy-a-L-mannopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 3)-O-[O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 3)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 2)]-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 --> 4)-beta-D-galactopyranosyl)oxy}-6-hydroxy-(3beta,5alpha,6alpha,25R)-spirostan-12-one, was isolated from Agave brittoniana Trel. The structure was determined by extensive NMR spectroscopy studies and chemical conversions. Its effects on the Na+-ATPase and (Na+ + K+)-ATPase activities of the proximal tubule from pig kidney were evaluated. It was observed that this steroidal saponin exerts a biphasic effect on the Na+-ATPase activity. It is concluded that the effect of the aqueous extract as a diuretic is due, at least in part, to the action of saponin on the ouabain-insensitive Na+-ATPase.  相似文献

A new steroidal saponin was isolated from the leaves of Agave attenuata Salm-Dyck. Its structure was established as (3beta,5beta,22alpha,25S)-26-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-22-methoxyfurostan-3-yl O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->4)-beta-D-galactopyranoside. The structural identification was performed using detailed analyses of 1H and 13C NMR spectra including 2D NMR spectroscopic techniques (COSY, HETCOR and COLOC) and chemical conversions. The haemolytic potential of the steroidal saponin was evaluated and the anti-inflammatory activity was performed using the capillary permeability assay.  相似文献

A detailed phytochemical study on the 70% aqueous ethanol extract of stems of Akebia trifoliata (Thunb.) Koidz. var. australis (Diels) Rehd led to isolation of five compounds, together with 12 known triterpenoid saponins and three known phenylethanoid glycosides. Four new triterpenoid saponins were isolated from the roots of Gypsophila paniculata and G. arrostii. Their structures were elucidated using a combination of homo- and heteronuclear 2D NMR techniques, without having recourse to chemical degradation or modification. (Ilexaceae) was found to exhibit potent anti-inflammatory effects on carrageenan-induced paw edema in rats. Two novel triterpene saponins, pubescenosides C and D (1 and 2, resp.), together with five known saponins were isolated from this saponin fraction. The structures of 1 and 2 were elucidated as (20beta)-3-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-xylopyranosyl]ursa-12,18-dien-28-oic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl ester, and (20beta)-3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-beta-D-xylopyranosyl]ursa- 12,18-dien-28-oic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl ester, respectively, on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic data. They were identified on the basis of their spectral data as 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl]-28-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl] echinocystic acid (saponin 1), 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-fucopyranosyl] 11-methoxy-primulagenin A (saponin 2), rotundioside E (saponin 3), rotundioside F (saponin 4), 3beta-sulfate, 28-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl] ester of primulagenin A (saponin 5), rotundioside C (saponin 6) and 3-O-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta-D-fucopyranosyl] 11-methoxy-16beta,21alpha,28-trihydroxyolean-12-ene (saponin 7). All these saponins proved to be effective against TPA-induced ear edema in mice. Their ID50 were determined to be 248, 288, 128, 99 and 297 nmol/ear for saponin 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, respectively. Saponins 3 and 6 were also active on a TPA multiple-dose model of skin chronic inflammation.  相似文献

The aqueous methanolic extract of the aerial parts of Fagonia arabica L. (family Zygophyllaceae) was successively fractionated using certain organic solvents. From the ethyl acetate fraction, two flavonoid glycosides were isolated and identified as kaempferol-7-O-rhamnoside and acacetin-7-O-rhamnoside. Four triterpenoidal glycosides were isolated from the butanolic layer. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of the spectral and chemical data as 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-alpha-L-arabinopyranoside oleanolic acid (1), 3-O-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl quinovic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), 3-O-[beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-alpha-L-arabinosyl oleanolic acid (3) and 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->3)-alpha-L-arabino-pyranosyl quinovic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (4). The two monodesmosidic saponins 1 and 3 were found to possess strong molluscicidal activity against Biomphalaria alexandrina snails, the intermediate host of Schistosoma mansoni in Egypt (LC90 = 13.33 and 16.44 microM), whereas the other two bidesmosidic saponins 2 and 4 as well as the two flavonoid glycosides were inactive up to 50 microM.  相似文献

Four oleanane-type triterpenes, 3alpha,21beta,22alpha-trihydroxy-11,13(18)-oleanadien-28-oic acid (1), 3-epi-papyriogenin C (2), 21-O-acetyl-21-hydroxy-3-oxo-11,13(18)-oleanadien-28-oic acid (3) and 3beta-hydroxy-21-oxo-11,13(18)-oleanadien-28-oic acid methyl ester (4), together with four known triterpenes, were isolated from Tetrapanax papyriferus (Hook) K. Koch. Papyriogenin A (8) exhibited anti-HIV activity and low cytotoxicity in acutely infected H9 lymphocytes. Their structures were determined by analysis of spectroscopic data, including by 1D and 2D NMR.  相似文献
